[Andromeda] - [Weyes blood]
Sora finally arrived, not to Seoul but her family's home. She was suddenly engulfed in a hug by jaehyun.
"Don't you have work to do? Why are you always here?"she teased her cousin .
"Hey, be nice. And by the way, your mom is angry," He replied, turning her gaze to her mom in the living room, who was giving her the silent treatment.
"Where is Dad?"
Her mom ignored her, and Seunghan, sensing the tension, just said, "He's sleeping in his room. Don't worry; he's fine." She smiled sadly at her brother.
Until they got cut off by the sound of the TV. It was KBS, and she saw Jay's face on the big screen, his eyes red and puffy. She felt a pang of sadness at seeing him cry, but deep down, she knew this separation was the best for both of them. She had been nothing but a distraction; she helped him treat his illnesses, but the rest was not planned.
"Oh, look, it's your boyfriend," Seunghan teased, but he received a smack on the head from Jaehyun, who was shushing him. Sora sat down next to her mom, waiting to hear what Jay was going to say on the television.
The interviewer asked, "What is your relationship with the woman in those pictures?"
Their shared moments, captured in photographs, were displayed on the big screen, including ones taken in the clinic. Sora knew who posted them, and as the images flashed before her eyes, she turned around to find her entire family looking at her. Even her father, who had just woken up, stared in bewilderment. Unable to contain herself, she laughed, a mix of embarrassment and resignation.
Jay looked straight at the camera, and Sora felt as if his gaze pierced through the screen, directed straight at her. His words echoed in her mind, each syllable cutting through her heart.
"Nothing, she is nothing to me except a doctor who helped me. Our relationship is no more or less, and it'll never be more than that."
Her mom commented before standing up, "I told you he's gonna do the same..." Then, one by one, they all left her alone in the living room. Seunghan went to his room to burn his Jay Pcs , her parents huddled in a room gossiping, and Jaehyun left for work, leaving her in the silence of her thoughts.
She sat there for approximately three hours, the weight of darkness pressing in on her. A pervasive emptiness engulfed her, and doubt gnawed at the edges of her consciousness.
Did she make the right decision? For the first time, confusion clouded her certainty, casting shadows on the path she had chosen. In the silence of that desolate room, she grappled with uncertainty, realizing that this decision had left her adrift.
Yet, in the end, she convinced herself that both of them could move on with their lives, even if the road ahead seemed shrouded in the unknown.

-4 months- later.

In this time span, Jay's scandal strangely boosted his popularity, while Sora found herself facing daily struggles to gather enough money. Despite her family offering help to set up her office, she chose the harder path, wanting to earn her success independently.
Korean societal norms favored Jay despite the shared mistake, and he embarked on a world tour with Enhypen. For Sora, the vastness of Seoul offered some relief, Yet, an underlying fear lingered, a nagging worry that fate might conspire to bring them face to face once again.
During those four months, the bridge between them crumbled, transforming them from lovers into strangers. No contact passed between them; they navigated separate orbits, and she felt certain that if they crossed paths on the streets, they would be nothing more than two strangers, lost in their own worlds, choosing to ignore the shared history that once bound them.
Stepping away from the clinic, Sora embraced a new chapter by cutting ties with her past colleagues. The launch of her own office marked not just success but a profound satisfaction.
Yunjin, her secretary, evolved into more than just an employee; she became a valued friend, bringing a sense of female friendship that had been absent from Sora's life. In this journey of independence, Sora found not only professional achievement but also a newfound sense of friendship.
Morning arrived, and Sora slipped back into her familiar routine—skincare, stretching, and diving into her books. She felt a renewed sense of productivity, a stark contrast to the time she spent entangled with Jay.
Heading to the coffee shop near her office with Yunjin, they immersed themselves in paperwork over breakfast and dinner, making it a routine. In these moments, Sora couldn't help but feel that Yunjin filled a void no previous boyfriend had.
At the coffee shop, Sora ordered a simple black coffee for herself. Meanwhile, Yunjin's order resembled a feast—iced americano, a bagel, chocolate cake, tiramisu, and a strawberry cheesecake. The cute waiter struggled to conceal his surprise, but Sora and Yunjin reveled in their shared enjoyment of the diverse array of treats.
Yunjin relished each bite, her eyes widening in delight with every flavorful taste. Sora couldn't help but laugh at her friend's unabashed enjoyment.
"You've got work to do, you know," Sora teased.
"I can't resist, these are too good. Come on, say aahhh," Yunjin playfully insisted, but Sora tried to dodge the playful feeding attempt. Their laughter echoed, unaware that someone else was observing their antics. Behind the tinted car door, a smile stretched across an onlooker's face, thoroughly enjoying the heartwarming scene.
As Sora stood up to leave, she was caught off guard by the cashier's unexpected revelation. "Oh, you don't have to pay, miss. A man already came here and paid for your food." Sora's frown deepened. "Who would do that?" she wondered aloud.
Yunjin grinned, suggesting, "Miss Jung, you have a secret admirer. We should've ordered more food, though, to make his pocket hurt." Disturbed by the mysterious gesture, Sora couldn't shake off the curiosity about the identity of her silent benefactor.
Nevertheless, Sora headed to her office, immersing herself in her work with unwavering diligence throughout the day. Her tireless efforts continued until 7 pm when all her sessions concluded.
"Yunjin, let's grab some Kimchi Jjigae at our usual spot. I'm starving," Sora suggested.
Yunjin chuckled but hesitated, "Actually, I can't join you. You're off to another fancy restaurant with your blind date, Mr. Kang!"
Sora sighed, "I've told you to stop that. I'm not interested in dating."
"But you're a beautiful woman; you shouldn't keep that beauty to yourself," Yunjin playfully insisted.
Saying Sora was pissed off is an understatement, yet she reluctantly went to the restaurant, eager to get this whole blind date ordeal over with. Frustrated, she didn't bother reapplying her lipstick.
As she approached the entrance, the waitress blocked her way with a smile. "I'm sorry, miss, but the restaurant is rented for the whole night." Initially flattered, thinking her blind date arranged this, Sora inquired, "Who rented the restaurant?"
The waitress replied, "Mr. Park." The color drained from Sora's face, and her heart raced. "He would've informed us if he had a date," she thought, feeling a mix of confusion and anxiety.
"There are so many Parks in this world, it can't be him... right?"
Contemplating the unexpected turn of events, Sora made a decision. She concluded that she needed a break from Seoul. Summer was in full swing, and she was determined to enjoy it, even if it meant going solo.
Determined to seize the moment, Sora packed her bags, ready for a summer adventure. Little did she know, this solo journey would lead her to unexpected discoveries, new beginnings, and a chapter of her life that awaited excitement and joy.
