Life has given me reason enough
to make me fear the happy times,

because when times are tough
and I feel like I'm not worth a dime,

I am at peace.
Everything has gone wrong

so there are no what-ifs,
at least all I have to do is stay strong.

However, when times seem pleasant
I dread the inevitable,

I know I can't always be triumphant,
I can't always be capable.

Something will surely go off,
Let me just count 3, 2, 1...

The only thing scarier than the storm itself
Is the calm before the storm.
