Q2 How has life changed after becoming a mother ?

Life just got much better after having Aayansh. He has my heart but it's not like everything moves on smoothly. That little bundle of joy has been very naughty lately and doesn't let us sleep, so only the sleep schedule has changed. His birth just made us realise that now it's not just me and Abhi but also our very own son.

Q3 What were some funny things that happened during your mood swings while you were pregnant?

Oh there were a lot! To begin with I started craving for something sweet all the time and that's very unlikely for me. I literally made Abhi run for Donuts everywhere at 3 in the morning. I even irritated Aisha and Harry a lot! So the thing is that Aisha makes the best Pasta and I would call her at any time of the day just for pasta. And while this irritated Aisha, it also irritated Harry because he couldn't spend time with his girlfriend. I asked Aisha to just shift in with us. Basically all my cravings were funny and ya i made everyone give me foot massage too. *laughs* 

Q4 If you could tell one thing to all the women out there, what would it be ?

Love yourself before loving anyone else! And never, I repeat never change yourself for someone else, if the other person loves you the exact way that you are only then he's worthy of you otherwise JUST LEAVE HIM. Quite a common thing to tell but it's necessary for girls to understand.

Q5 How do you cope with your work and home ?

Like Abhi does! Being a woman doesn't mean only I am responsible for home duties, my husband is equally responsible and I am lucky enough that Abhi believes the same thing. I can be a mother as well as a CEO of a company!

Q6 What would you like to say to the people who believe that a woman cannot manage work and home ?

I would like to say go to hell! If you can be a dad and also be at some high position in a company then even we can, don't expect us to stay at home all the time while you follow your dreams and ambition. By no means am I saying that women shouldn't be there for house responsibilities, we would be there by your side always and therefore we expect the same of you!

Q1 How would you describe your perfect day ?

Perfect day would be getting up late, then some workout and practice and then family time. And then having my all by myself, which is very difficult! *laughs*

Q2 Cricket is a tough profession which requires hours of hard work and staying away from home during series. How do you balance spending time between your wife and child while maintaining a social life as well?

I have a very understanding wife for this matter, she would understand when i need space or when i need her beside me. As for tours, Kyra tries to clear her schedule but if by any chance it doesn’t work then we always facetime. And again as i said, she understands when i want to have a boys day out and it just works that way as for my social life.

Q3 Is there something which you hid from Kyra? If yes what ?

Oh I don't think so, and even if i have it would be some silly thing. Umm …. Oh yeah! Recently I was just making a cup of coffee and believe me it was intentional but I split milk all over the floor, and Aayansh was sitting on the counter laughing even though he didn’t understand anything. I guess he was laughing as he imagined what his mother was gonna do with me, but poor him didn't know he was gonna be my escape. I simply said that Aayu did it by mistake and no one had to go to hospital for getting beaten up. *laughs*

Q4 If you were given a chance to go back in time and change something, what would it be?

Well, I would not want to change anything as such. The way it is right is just perfect, but maybe I would ask the author to add a little bit of our relationship period in the book. *winks*

Q5 Cricket is a profession in which you gain a lot of attention. So do you allow the limelight to come on your child? If yes,how do you feel about the news and if not how do you keep it personal and secure?

It completely depends on our children to be very honest. We have decided to keep it as private as we can as we don’t want him to feel like a celeb at a young age, i dont want cameras shoved into his face wherever he goes! But if he decides to ever follow any profession which doesn’t allow him to keep everything private, then he needs to understand that media is part and parcel of his profession and his profession asks for limelight.

Q1 What is the most vivid memory you have as a child with Kyra?

When Kyra was born, I was 4 years old! I remember being so excited to welcome my little sister and the moment I saw her, she not only took the younger sister’s place in my heart but also took the place of my best friend. No memory can ever replace the memory of seeing her for the first time and taking her in my arms with the help of dad! Its as clear as a crystal.

Q2 What has been your most embarrassing moment in your life?

Oh there’s a list! To top the list it would fall off a chair in a restaurant full of people. I was just rocking the chair and thud … next moment I was on the floor.

Q3 Describe yourself in a single word.

Ambivert. I am a perfect mix , to be honest we both sisters are the same.

Q1 Same question as Erica. What is the most vivid memory you have as a child with Abhishek?

As children, the only thing we both did was play cricket be it at home or the gullies. And the probability of us being in the same team was 0.0001% So after every game we would have an argument and once that argument turned into a fight, that was the first and last time we both raised our hands on each other. It was such a big learning for us that day, “Our hands are for us to stay together and not to raised on one another” We have a policy from that day, if we have a fight, silently walk away and give each other time.

Q2 What's the worst lie you ever told as a kid?

I once bunked school, not only me, even Abhi did. We told our parents we were at the school, I mean they thought we were at school while we were roaming in the city having the best time of our life. *laughs*

Q3 Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

At the top of my career, married, and maybe children..

Q1 In the video you made with Harry and Kyra, we found out that you wanted to be a physiotherapist as a child? What made you want to become an actress? What inspired you to become an actress?

I always liked being in front of the camera even as a child, but at that time I had my own misconceptions about the film industry, so I just was scared to step into this world. But being blessed with amazing friends and parents brought me to my passion. They were the ones who inspired and pushed me into this and I am forever grateful for that.

Q2 If you had to guess what people appreciate the most about you, what would it be for?

I would be happy if it is for acting and if not then it would be for loyalty, be it towards friends or my boyfriend.

Q1 If you could have dinner from one person, living or dead, who would it be?

Playing FIFA with the boys. That's the only thing we all do in our free time and sometimes even girls join and let me tell you they are sometimes better than us at video games.

Q3 Who inspired you to play cricket?

Every since childhood, I was always interested in sports and like every Indian child, to be in the Indian Cricket Team and play with the champion was a dream. So all the players inspired me, be it Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar or M S Dhoni.

Q1 If your life was a musical, what would the marquee say? And describe yourself in a hashtag.

Q2 Share a funny moment that you have experienced in the field.

My first T20 half century. I was with Virat Bhai and I generally don't celebrate much for 50 so I just raised my bat once and then peeche se aawaj aati hai, ghuma ghuma bat chaaro taraf ghuma. The way bhai said that, my god! It was a memorable moment.

Q3 Which is the most valuable thing to  you in your whole life  ?

So cliché answer would be cricket, family and friends. So I won't say that *laughs* It's my watch collection 😂

Q1 A book that everyone should read? And a song you can listen to on repeat?

I don't read books much but I have read this book ‘The Alchemist’ recently and everyone can give it a try. Coming to song then, majority Punjabi songs cause that's what I hear on repeat in the team room. Baaki Arjit Singh songs.

Q1 What is the hardest part you wrote in this book?

All those long, emotional captions that I wrote for birthday, engagement, and then Abhishek's outburst over that whole bad luck thing. Those really needed some time and a good emotional connection.

Q2 What was your inspiration to come  up with this particular plot?

So, the plot idea just randomly came. At that time I was obsessed with this Instagram books and I also noticed that none had this bffs or Arranged Marriage thing, so I just randomly started the book with no back story to be very honest. The chapter was just written whenever I got some idea. Don't start a book like I did, though this book was actually a success but you need to have some idea about your plot before you publish it 🤍🌼

Q3 Which is one author you would like to meet one day?

I would say Paula Hawkins as I am reading The Girl On the Train currently.

Q4 While you were writing this book, did you ever lose inspiration, if yes, then how did you regain it?

I never lost the inspiration but I had a huge period of writer's block. I was always inspired to write the book but there was a time where I couldn't come up with what to write next due to the break I took because of exams. Coming to how I overcame it, then I re-read the whole book maybe twice to get a hook on what was happening. I think that's the best way to overcome writer's block.

Q5 Best advice you would give to fellow Wattpad/Online writers?

As I said earlier, never start a book without any backstory. One example of an unsuccessful book is Lost To Gain Again, it literally had no back story. I was writing it only when I got some idea and that's where I completely lost the book. Arranged Love was a similar case but here it was easy to write as it was a social media book. I could always take examples from Instagram and see what's trending, what has happened in celebs life, etc etc. So NEVER START WITHOUT A PLOT!  Also, you can always text writers who inspire you for some help.

Q6 What is the first book that made you cry?

I actually haven't cried while reading. I usually don't get emotional until and unless it's really very very touching like death of a really good character, ect.

Q7 What was the thing that pushed you forward to write a book of your own?

Lockdown 😂 my exams got cancelled and I had nothing to do. I always wanted to write and had some amazing, cliché ideas in my head and the quarantine finally gave me the idea to publish some stupid stuff 😂😂 This brings us to the end of our question answer session, hope you had fun 🤍
