|Nurgül's POV|

It was a very long night, after saying goodbye to his father, Mehmet came and we sat for a while, we didn't talk much but I tried to ease his pain a little as I had never seen him so broken, sad and helpless as he seemed now.

With the first rays of the sun, we stood in the middle of the room and he took me in a long hug.

"Everything will be fine" I said in a low voice as I passed my hand behind his back.

"Inshallah" He moved away a little and passed his hand over my cheek "Today will be difficult and long, take care of yourself and the şehzades.. don't leave them alone"

I nodded in agreement "I will be there for you in the tower of justice then I will return to my room"

I ignored Mihrimah and then quickly left the tower heading to my room, when the door opened I entered angrily but my features changed when I saw Fahriye Kalfa there.

"Fahriye Kalfa?" I said in surprise, I haven't seen her for a very long time and when I came back here they told me that she was sent to do some work in the old palace.

"Didn't you miss me?" She put her hands on her waist "I wanted to annoy you but now you are a sultana"

I laughed and approached her "I missed you so much I didn't expect to see you again"

She smiled as she looked at Ibrahim's bed "Don't worry I will always be here"

Safiye Sultan entered her chambers with her daughters behind her and then they all sat on the sofa.

"So what now mother?" Razye Sultan asked.

"The first thing you should understand is that Sultan Mehmet is not our enemy" Safiye Sultan said then added "Hurrem and Mihrimah are our enemies now, her other daughter does not pose any danger she is very far away and kind of stupid"

"I see that you are thinking about something mother?" Hafize Sultan asked curiously.

Safiye Sultan nodded "Yes just wait a bit"

"What about Nurgül?" Razye asked since she knew that Nurgül was a spy she wanted to get rid of her.

"Nurgül is not our enemy either... for now" Safiye Sultan smiled a little "If she is smart she will help us, if she tries to spoil it then she will become our enemy"

"Yes we must not forget that she has a special place in Mehmet's heart" Hafize said.

After a few minutes they heard the door and then Fahriye Kalfa entered.

"Sultana" she bowed respectfully "Sultanas"

"What's the matter?" Safiye Sultan asked.

"Hürrem Sultan wants to meet you" Fahriye Kalfa said while lowering her eyes.

"Just as I expected" Safiye smiled as she stood up "Okay, let the games begin"

"Safiye, I think you know why you're here" Hurrem said as she drank from her coffee cup.

"Yes, Hurrem, I can read you like a book" Safiye replied with a strange smile.

"In every game there is a loser and a winner" Hurrem raised her eyebrow "And in this game I won"

"Oh, Hurrem you never learn" Safiye raised her eyes "You won one round, that doesn't mean the game is over"

Hurrem laughed "Well, then you will complete the game in the old palace" she raised her eyebrow "And since I want to be nice to you I gave them orders to organize it for you and your daughters, you will move there in two weeks at most"

|Nurgül's POV|

I was standing in front of the window, I can't wait to meet Mehmet, I hope his position won't distance him from me or break our love...

I turned around when I heard the door and then Elif entered.

"Sultana, Safiye Sultan wants to meet you" she said as she approached me.

I looked at her in surprise "Now? Why?"

She shook her head "I don't know Sultana"

I sighed a little "Okay let's see what she wants" She turned to the other two maids "Take good care of the princes and don't let anyone enter the room"

Before I left the room Elif said "Not in her room Sultana"

I turned to her "Where?"

"She is waiting for you in the garden" She replied calmly.

Why in the garden! I can't help my curiosity and I have a good feeling about her, she seems like a very smart woman... I put a shawl over my hair and left the room with Elif behind me.

I found Safiye Sultan waiting for me with her maids in the garden.

"Sultana" I said as I bowed "They told me you wanted to meet me"

"Yes, Nurgul" she raised her hand "Let's walk and talk...I wanted to meet you here so no one would see us"

I raised my eyebrows "I don't want to do anything suspicious, Sultana"

She looked into my eyes "Why?"

I felt a little nervous "I'm trying to keep myself out of trouble, that's all"

She sighed a little, then smiled "Nurgül, my dear, I know everything"

I tried not to show my concern "You know what?"

She looked at some flowers "Your name is Charlotte, you were sent to end this dynasty, but it's a good thing you didn't" She looked back at me "I also wanted to avenge my son and end Mehmet's life years ago, but I put the interests of the state before everything else, and of course the happiness of the late Sultan.. After we sat for a while, Mehmet stood up and said "Nurgül, we must not postpone the matter any longer. Our plan must start today"

I raised my finger "Keep your distance" I was afraid that Mehmet would get angry and our whole plan would fail so I had to do this quickly "I put my family and country above all" I showed him the letter "Give them this letter and they will understand everything"

He raised his eyebrow "Are you trying to manipulate us or what! A whole year and you didn't do anything useful"

I gave him a deadly look "It will end in a few days and then you will know that what I've done all this time was very useful"

He looked at the letter then at me "I will deliver it and they will know what to do about you and I swear to you if you try to do something stupid you will be held accountable"

I ignored his words and left quickly, I don't even know where Mehmet was standing but it seemed that he was out of sight.

I entered Mehmet's room and I sat feeling nervous.

after a few moments he entered behind me looking angry.

"I swear I will separate his head from his body tomorrow morning" He turned and said in a loud voice "Aymen!!"

Aymen Pasha entered quickly while I remained silent because I know that I am the reason behind all this tension and problems.

"Yes, your majesty?" he said quickly.

"Track that traitor...He will deliver the letter to one of his aides... Then, before he does anything I want you to bring him to me...His execution will be by my sword" Mehmet finished his words and went out to the balcony, he seemed to be burning with anger.
