Personality: Ruby is quiet and soft spoken. She spends a lot of her time away from people and alone painting. She has trouble reading, but refuses help to learn. She's the overprotective mother, but the cool aunt.

Backstory: (TW) Ruby was born to Angelica Schuyler Church de Lafayette and Tommy Hutchens on August 29, 1811. When she was very young, her father died in a duel, and after that, Angel was never really there. Ruby and her siblings were mostly raised by their uncle Charlie, though he wasn't around full time.

On April 16, 1830, Ruby married Adam Jones. He had seemed nice enough at the time, but would later show his true colours.

After being married for a year and Ruby refusing to have sex with Adam, he forced her. She soon bore his first child, Michael, who was born on February 4, 1832.

After that, if Adam didn't get his way, he would beat or threaten to beat his wife, sometimes doing worse.

Not getting his way led to seven more children. Kaylee, Elizabeth, Edward, Peter, Luke, Pansy, and Leo. By this time, Ruby had become more quiet and docile than ever. Every noise scared her.

Finally, having had enough, Ruby took her own life by slitting her wrists. It was June 1, 1850. She was 35 years old at the time.
