Personality: Charlie is quite happy go lucky and optimistic. He's easy to please, and always has a bright outlook on everything. He likes "feminine" things, and hates conflict and fighting. However, he will beat your ass if you disrespect women in his presence.

Backstory: Charlie was born October 12, 1788 to Diane of Simiane and Lafayette. The first two years of his life were uneventful, but when he was around two years old, the French Revolution began. He was sent away to America to live with the Washingtons, along with his brother Georges.

All was well. He was told amazing stories of his father, hearing him painted as a hero. Hearing that his father could do no wrong, seeing him as a saint.

However, when he was nine years old, he got a letter from his sister, Charlotte, that would change his life. He found out that he and she were illegitimate children, that their father had cheated on his wife, not one, but two times. His world seemed to collapse. For months, he stopped speaking. He did speak again, in fluent English (which he had struggled with) and French.

He went back to France in 1807. He was by Adrienne's side when she died that year, and did his best to comfort his siblings. He met his older sister Angel, the next day, though it was only for a short time.

He stayed in France with Charlotte and her husband for a few years. Then after the death of Angel's husband, Tommy, in 1815, he went back to America to help her cope with the loss of her young husband.

This was when he met a woman by the name of Ada Hart. He was immediately smitten with her, and tried to get her attention when he was able to. She playfully flirted with him, but never really seemed truly interested. However, when Charlie proposed to her in 1817, she accepted. They got married on February 26 of that year. The couple were obviously happy together, Charlie often referring to Ada as "Blueberry", and "Little Bird".

On November 29, 1817, their first children was born. Katherine de Lafayette, though her family called her Kate, and Charlotte de Lafayette, though the family called her Lottie.

Charlie was elated to have children of his own. Even more so on September 24, 1818, when his third child was born. This time, a boy, whom he and Ada named Elijah. Soon after, on May 18, 1820, they had another child, a girl, named Josephine, nicknamed JoJo. And on March 27, 1823 their last child was born. Her name was Martha, after Martha Washington. Sadly, Ada died of childbed fever, leaving Charlie alone to raise their children. He started travelling with them back and forth from America to France every six months, selling their home and staying with Angel or Charlotte depending on which country they were in.

Charlie ended up dying on April 1, 1860, of old age. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren as he passed.
