THE LIBRARY:

After the whole scene in the courtyard, Artemis decided that she needed to take a breather.

She was extremely riled up and Blaise thought it was a good idea for her to head for the library after Potions class.

The lesson with Snape was a chaotic mess, a fight broke out. Draco, Blaise, and Theo hexed the golden trio and before they could retaliate, Snape broke it up, but the three Gryffindors had points taken away from them because they shouted at the professor.

Artemis and Daphne were laughing throughout the whole debacle and didn't bother to get involved.

Therefore, the purebloods boys went to plan another attack, whereas Daphne went to take a nap, leaving Artemis to her studies.

She was currently reading about Nargles, fascinated by the creature that was said to not exist. She had an inkling that they were real, after all her mother was dating what nature called an 'abomination', so she never ruled anything out.

She was sure she had seen them one, at some point, but blamed it on lack of sleep.

"Who knew you were capable of threatening a professor?"

A familiar voice exclaimed as they pulled up a chair in front of her.

Artemis grinned when she came face to face with Aurora, who was also wearing a Ravenclaw jacket from La Mente.

"I like to be spontaneous," she shrugged at the older witch, who smirked in response, "I didn't even know you were watching."

Aurora cracked a smile, "even if I wasn't watching, someone would've told me, it's travelling through the school as we speak."

"Was Lana with you?"

"And Zach and Zay," The Routledge girl added, before something dawned on her, "you know Zay misses you."

Artemis put down her book and sat back, pursing her lips, "why does everyone mention Iziah anytime they talk to me."

"Name one person other than me."

"My cousin, Diggory, Lana and even my own boyfriend," she listed slowing putting her fingers down as she counted.

"Fine, that's a lot of people," Aurora said as she arched her brow, "why is Malfoy asking about Zay?"

"He notices that Iziah looks at me alot." The Seramore witch said, whilst shrugging her shoulders.

"Because he misses you."

"Because he's being a creep."

Aurora shook her head, smiling at the younger witch, "stop acting like you're unaware that he likes you."

"What do you expect me to do? I have a boyfriend," Artemis stated, getting annoyed. "Also, I wave at Iziah whenever I see him, so what's the issue?"

Aurora sighed, knowing that The Seramore witch wasn't exactly wrong and that Iziah needed to get over his little crush.

Especially because Artemis would never sway from Draco.

"I guess you're right," Aurora admitted, rolling her eyes at the smirk that graced Artemis' face, "I have to go and help a bunch of first years," she pointed to her perfect badge, "also let me know whenever you and Blaise start up the business again, okay?"

"I will."

They smiled at one another as the older witch stood up, "don't threaten anyone else today, Don Slytherin."

"No promises," Artemis said innocently, making Aurora laugh before she strolled out of the library.

Artemis quickly picked up her book again, wanting to discover more about the mystical beings, hoping that they were not extinct.

"That's a great read."

Artemis had to hold back a sigh, what do I have to do to get some peace and quiet? She wondered, then stared up and saw an unfamiliar face.

A Ravenclaw witch, with blonde waist-length hair, misty coloured eyes and a dazed look on her face. Oddly shaped pink and blue glasses pushed back the top of her hair, imitating a headband. She wore blue earrings, that dangled down, but were only to be hidden by her blonde locks.

It's like a female version of Draco, only weirder, The Seramore witch thought.

"I know," Artemis nodded, staring directly at the girl, who seemed younger than her. She didn't want to be rude...for once, so she introduced herself, "I'm Artemis."

"Luna Lovegood, I'm in the third year," the blonde girl said, her voice quite soft and comforting, "you're a fourth-year right?"

Artemis nodded slowly, expecting the girl to sit down, but she continued to stand and stare at her, appearing to be in a daze.

"Yes, I am."

"That's odd."

"Why?"

"You seem more mature," Luna commented, furrowing her brows as she scanned her brown eyes, "your eyes seem like they've seen a lot," she nodded to herself, "maybe that's what seeing death does to someone."

Artemis stiffened, "Why do you think I've seen death?"

"You're a Seramore," Luna boldly stated, "don't worry, I've seen it as well," she started playing with her long hair, "my mother passed."

"My father passed," The older witch replied, eyeing the girl sceptically. She knew she had seen her father's death play out in her dreams, but she knew that she never saw him actually die.

After all, that's what her mother told her, so that's what she believed.

"I know," Luna sent her a smile before her eyes briefly wandered around the room, "do you believe they exist?" she nodded to the book that rested in Artemis' hands.

"Yes."

The Seramore was just as intrigued by the girl as she was confused, nevertheless, she allowed the conversation to continue.

"Really? Many don't, my father and I do." Luna said, rocking on her heels.

"You and your father are smart." Artemis complimented, causing delight to sparkle in the blonde's eyes.

"I prefer to think we're just very intuitive, like you Artemis."

"Thank you." Artemis huffed out a laugh before her eyes narrowed onto the glasses that sat on top of Luna's hair,  "What do those glasses do?" she asked, finding them very unique and odd, just like Luna.

"They allow me to see things that are hidden," she informed the 4th-year girl.

Artemis raised her brows questioningly, "What if you find something that you don't want to see?"

"Then I look elsewhere until I find something extraordinary, not boring and predictable."

Artemis didn't realise that she had begun to lean forward, "Boring and predictable like..."

"Gryffindor students." Luna quipped making her laugh and clasped her hands together.

"Well said."

"I suppose." the blonde shrugged and continued to rock on her heels.

"I like your glasses, Luna," Artemis wanted a pair now, but probably in a darker colour.

Luna beamed, shocked that their interaction was going so nicely. Many people teased or bullied her, even her own housemates. Other than Aurora, who was always nice, but she was 2 years older than her and they rarely spoke.

So she was surprised that someone like Artemis Seramore was being so warm to her, especially after hearing what had happened in the courtyard a few hours prior.

"Thank you, I like your face, it's annoyingly perfect," she murmured, making Artemis chuckle quietly, "I have to go, more peculiar things to find."

The Seramore nodded slowly, "Bye then."

"Bye Artemis." Luna waved her goodbye, before she skipped away, leaving artemis stunned.

"What the fuck just happened?"

Tuesday, November 24th:

FORBIDDEN FOREST:

It had been a couple of days since Blaise's 15th birthday and the boy was ecstatic. Obviously, he received many presents, from both friends and family.

Snape annually awarded the boy a few house points for merely being alive before going about his day.

Instead of spending time with his group, Daphne requested that they could celebrate Blaise's special day with only her.

Artemis, Draco and Theo, were not mad about it, but they still spent time with Blaise in the morning, before his girlfriend whisked him away.

Daphne has prepared a beautiful picnic for the pair and candled surrounded them as they basked in the celebrations. Their beautiful relationship had only continued to grow.

So today, the pureblood 5 all were sat in the stands about to watch the first task of the Triwizard tournament, the boys wore their all-black suits again, preferring the style to their normal uniform.

Various students were supporting different participants.

The Durmstrang boys cheered for Viktor, Beaubatons had many posters with Fleur's name written all over them, whereas the Hogwarts students were split in two.

Hufflepuffs and Slytherins were screaming for Cedric to win. Ravenclaw and Gryffindor were chanting for Harry.

Draco didn't like either, but he would be caught dead supporting Harry, especially not in public.

They all waited for the champions to come out of the white tent that sat by the clearing of the forbidden forest.

Four dragons were in the centre, protecting four golden eggs, whilst being chained down to ensure they didn't escape.

"Every year I come to this school, is another year I wished I went to a different one," Theo said shaking his head as the cannon went off, making the tent shift.

His friends laughed, knowing he was being deadly serious.

They watched as Viktor appeared, ready for the challenge and hastily tried to get the egg, seeming unfazed by the dragon.

The Durmstrang boys yelled loudly for their friend, "Krum, Krum, Krum, Krum!"

Cedric slowly made his way out and weaved his way around the dangerous dragon,  "Diggory! Diggory! Diggory!" the crowd chanted.

As soon as the two started the challenge, they quickly completed it, leaving fleur and Harry to find their eggs.

"Two of our champions have now faced their dragons. And now our last two contestants." Dumbledore announced.

"Hurry up!" The Slytherin house began yelling, bored that nothing was happening. "Hurry up! Hurry up! Hurry Up!"

"Tick Tock Potter!" Theo and Blaise screamed and most of the crowd joined in.

Harry and Fleur made their way out, the former going straight forward, as his dragon was nowhere in sight. But suddenly a huge tail came down, smacking the area in front of him, the scaly dragon roared, almost hitting some of the crowd before it charged for Harry.

"Oh shit," Artemis muttered as he started running, then soon disappeared along with the fire-breathing dragon.

All attention was on the sky, Fleur had completed her task, but everyone was wondering where the chosen one had disappeared to.

"Do you think I could steal a dragon?" Blaise asked randomly, to no one in particular.

Theo nodded, "Steal what you want my friend, it's not like they could catch you."

"Aunt Lia will be mad." Draco and Artemis said in unison, smiling at each other, then shared a chaste kiss.

Daphne silently cheered for them before she turned back to her boyfriend, "No, she won't."

Theo scrunched up his face in confusion, "Have you met B's mum yet Daph?" he asked.

"No, but we write to each other all the time," she said happily, they all turned to Blaise questioningly.

"What?" Draco asked laughing slightly,

Blaise waved them all off, "Don't ask."

He knew that his mother and girlfriend had a strong bond, despite neither of them having met one another. They talked and gossiped about anything and everything, even about all the things that took place over the summer.

Blaise couldn't complain, he has glad that they got along. Ophelia constantly asked her son, when they were going to get engaged but he continued to ignore her.

Suddenly the crowd started cheering and going wild as they noticed Harry on the back of his firebolt, picking up his golden egg as he flew back.

Draco rolled his eyes and placed his head in the crook of his girlfriend's neck, "so bloody lucky," he muttered quietly, so only she could hear, whilst their friends engaged in their own conversation.

"I know Darling," she felt his arms encircle her waist, "but look on the bright side."

"What?"

"I have the dorm all to ourselves," she said with a smirk and he immediately started grinning.

Thursday, December 10th:

THE GREAT HALL:

McGonagall had announced that the Yule Ball would be taking place this year causing everyone to have a mare, due to the struggle of deciding what to wear, how to style their hair and most importantly, who to go with.

Blaise and Draco had already asked their girlfriends, who immediately accepted. Many people had asked the pureblood girls, but they had rejected so many of them, that they had grown tired.

Theo had trouble picking the right candidate, as he had many to choose from,  but in the end had said yes to Zacharias Jones, despite having no romantic feelings for him, they were just going as friends.

It had also rumoured that the Jones brothers and a group of Hufflepuffs were performing at the Yule ball because they already had a band formed.

Pansy reluctantly has said yes to Adrian Pucey, Millicent was going with Boyle, while Crabbe was going stag.

So today, each house was having dancing lessons, Slytherin 4th years and higher were in the room, the boys and girls were separated as Professor Snape took the reign, whilst Professor McGonagall stood to the side of the room, for some reason, which was unknown to the Slytherin house.

Filch adjusted the giant record player and awkwardly stood in the centre of the room.

"'The Yule Ball" Snape started, "Has been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament, since its inception," he exclaimed walking back and forth.

Draco, Blaise and Theo sat together, trying not to roll their eyes at her speech. Artemis and Daphne were trying not to laugh at the looks that appeared on their faces.

Snape shot the girls a knowing look, to get them to behave, which certainly didn't work.

"On Christmas Eve night, we and our guests gather in the Great Hall for a night of well-mannered...frivolity," he stated, "As representatives of the host school, I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward. And I mean this literally, because the Yule Ball is, first and foremost..." he  paused, "A dance."

Groaning and whispering broke out across the room, which confused Artemis, because what did everyone expect a 'ball' to be?

It seemed that only the purebloods were aware.

"Quiet! The house of Salazar Slytherin has commanded the respect of the wizarding world for nearly ten centuries," Snape snapped at his house, "I will not have you, in the course of a single evening besmirching that name by behaving like a couple of idiots" he sneered "I will explain no further, instead Professor McGonagall will take over," he said, taking a step back, as he certainly didn't want to have to teach them a thing.

The Scottish professor stepped forward confidently, as she had already given the same speech to her house an hour ago.

She cleared her throat, "Now to dance is to let the body breathe," she inhaled sharply, demonstrating for the students, "Inside every lady, a secret swan slumber longing to burst forth and take flight," McGonagall said making many boys snicker and snort, "And inside every man a slithering serpent ready to attack" she said with determination.

"Daph knows all about yours B," Theo nudged the Zabini boy, causing the Draco to laugh, but Blaise quickly turned to him.

"You're the same with my cousin D," he mumbled, not finding it awkward at all, Draco groaned and Theo chuckled.

"Shut up," The Malfoy wizard elbowed them both as he sat between them.

Neither of them saw or felt Snape come up behind them until they all got clipped upside the head, making them all hiss quietly.

"Now this dance is mainly for 4th year and higher, but you are allowed to take someone in the younger years if you'd like" Mcgonagall smiled widely,

"Predator Viktor is coming in 3...2..." Theo joked, mimicking a microphone, causing his boys to laugh quietly, attracting the attention of the Scottish Professor.

She glared at the trio, "Boys, pay attention or you will not take part" she said sternly.

"If only," Theo mumbled.

"Sorry miss," Blaise and Draco apologised, concealing their amusement about Theo's comment.

She nodded justly, before turning to Vincent, whose face shone bright red, she motioned him to come over, which resulted in many people laughing, "Now Mr Crabbe will take my waist."

As he did what was instructed, Marcus Flinch, Adrien Pucey and Theo all whistled, whilst many more boys carried on cheering.

The pair danced, rather awkwardly, ignoring the humming and mimicking going on behind them.

Snape had to whack Blaise, Theo and Draco at the back heads again.

"Now stand," McGonagall instructed the students, allowing Vincent to wander off whilst everyone stood up reluctantly.

Artemis kissed Daphne on the cheek before they parted.

Pansy made a beeline for Draco, but he quickly whisked up his girlfriend, she squealed and laughed as he set her down, which made the Parkinson witch frown before she went to find Adrian.

Blaise grabbed Daphne, ignoring the desirable looks they both received.

Theo and Astoria awkwardly paired up, shocking many people.

The purebloods all knew how to dance, due to the many pureblood events they had to attend over the years.

Artemis placed her right hand on her boyfriend's shoulder and she placed his on her waist and then grabbed each other's left hands and began dancing gracefully, receiving a proud look from Snape.

McGonagall smiled happily at them before she aided the other pairs.

"So what were you boys laughing about other there," Artemis asked, raising a curious brow at the Platinum-haired boy, who only shook his head while a smirk tugged at his lips.

"You and Daph."

"So we amuse you, Mr Malfoy," she asked teasingly.

"You really do Miss Seramore," he purred as he inched closer to her.

She let out a breathy sigh and shoved him back slightly, they both shared a knowing look before they started dancing properly again.

"Remember when we had our first dance?" Draco chuckled at the memory.

She nodded, thinking back to her 5-year-old self, "Yes, I was upset that Blaise stole my food and I wanted to go home," she shot her cousin a glare from her side of the room.

The Zabini wizard felt her gaze on him and flipped her off, grinning in their direction, then carried on conversing with his girlfriend.

"So I asked you to dance to take your mind off it," Draco said, reminiscing and pulling his girlfriend obscenely close to him.

"And you did." she mused.

"I did," they slowly leaned in but were quickly stopped by their favourite professor.

"No kissing," Snape pushed their heads backwards, causing them to whine, "I'm not a fan of public displays of affection. Leave room for Salazar," he mumbled under his breath as he sauntered away.

"Oi oi," Theo whooped from the other side of the room, chuckling at the couple, Astoria playfully rolled her eyes at him. The Nott wizard quickly quieted down when he caught the attention of Snape.

"What colour are you wearing to the ball?" Draco asked absentmindedly.

Artemis sighed, "Do you really have to ask?"

"Green."

"Yup."

"It's going to look amazing on you."

Her heart began to leap against its cage.

"Oh I know, but you have to wear something green as well."

"A tie, perhaps?"

"No," she shook her head before her eyes widened in realisation, he stared at her expectantly but smiled wickedly.

"Oh no, that smile only means something bad," He commented, amusement lacing his tone.

She gasped, "No it doesn't."

"Yes it does," he said, halting their movements, he pulled down his colour, revealing the many love bites she left there,  "because the last time you smiled at me like that, you gave me these."

"Stop," she nudged, hastily glancing around, hoping no one saw, "and you know those were payback."

"I don't care," he shrugged, "I'll just get you back again," he said getting up in her face, making her laugh.

the couple didn't even notice how much time had flown by.

"Great job students," McGonagall spoke up, clasping her hands together, "you are all dismissed."

Yule Ball, here they come.

Next chapter is probably one of my favourites from this act. It's so wholesome.

A few unexpected interactions will happen.

Any questions?
