RED VS GREEN
Today was the first Quidditch match of the year. It was Gryffindor versus Slytherin, and Harry's first match as well and Draco didn't want to miss the Potter boy fail.
Blaise somehow convinced McGonagall that he could commentate the game with Lee Jordan. There were only a few Gryffindor's that he got along with, and it was Jordan and the Weasley twins, as they got up to the same amount of mischief as him.
But he didn't particularly like it when he caught them looking at his cousin occasionally.
He threatened to hex them, and they believed him.
The thing about the Zabini wizard was that when he was mad, he was mad.
He came with both the bark and the bite. Despite his playful personality, he meant all his threats.
He even tried to get his cousin to commentate with him, but Artemis told him that she would probably make the Gryffindor players cry if she was given the microphone, so she declined.
He asked Daphne to join him, she eagerly said yes.
Leaving Artemis, Theo and Draco sit by lower stands. The gray-eyed boy's goons stood behind them.
The pureblood friends wore the Slytherin colours, green scarves wrapped around their necks.
Theo's fists were still red from beating up the youngest Weasley brother. The Nott wizard got tired of his gloating about his friend being the youngest seeker on the team, he punched the redhead a couple of times until Blaise had to pull him off. Once Theo was calm, Blaise kicked Ron a couple of times before grabbing his friend and leaving the Gryffindor boy aching on the empty corridor floor.
They didn't get caught because Snape was luckily patrolling that hallway during that time of day, which somehow both of the Slytherin boys knew.
Theo laughed quietly when he had caught the glares some of the Gryfindor's were giving him.
The air was cold and the stands were packed.
Artemis subconsciously shifted closer to Draco, he didn't think twice and threw his arm around his friend. Theo smirked at the two.
The Slytherin team was naturally bigger and stronger than the Gryffindors. They had Adrian Pucey and Marcus Flint, if they didn't beat them alone, surely Marcus' teeth would.
Terrance Higgs was a terrific flier; Graham and Miles were also on the team, and even though they were slightly creepy, they did know how to destroy their opposition, no matter the cost.
Slytherins were known for playing dirty, so Artemis felt excited to watch the game.
Blood and beatings; that was all before the game.
Daphne may have slapped Millicent Bulstrode across the face earlier this week, after hearing her curse out Artemis in the girl's loo. And when she had told her friend, jinxes were sent towards the Bulstrode girl so quickly she ended up in the infirmary.
When the professors asked her what happened she went, to tell the truth, but Daphne and Artemis stood by the door, making the girl claim she walked into a door.
Pansy had to look after her friend; she couldn't attend the match either.
Not like anyone cared.
The Gryffindor players came out and immediately got booed, Theo even tried to throw his shoe at them, stopped when he caught a glimpse of McGonagall. The taunting from the Slytherin house was so intense some of the Gryffindor fans looked like they were about to wipe off red-painted faces.
It didn't help that Blaise was cursing them out with his microphone, even Daphne could be heard bantering with him.
They were continuously told to stop, but Blaise grabbed Daphne's hand and ran through the stands.
The Slytherin team emerged with their new brooms, the shine was so intense you could see your reflection in them.
Draco's face lit up like he got an idea.
As the game began, Draco's arm grew tighter around Artemis, not as she cared, she hated the cold. This is ironic as winter is her favourite season, despite preferring summer clothes.
She loved the snow but hated how her limbs felt like they were about to drop off if she played in it for too long.
Warrington locked eyes with the Seramore witch and winked at her before flying to his position.
"That's foul,", she cringed, "The day is ruined." She said as he whispered something to Montague.
"Sod off you greasy-haired fool." Theo shouted at Cassius, before turning to Draco before gasping, "sorry Draco didn't mean to offend you too."
Draco shoved his friend as much as he could with Artemis in his grasp. Artemis and Theo laughed at the look on his face.
Artemis combed her hands through his Platinum boys hair, "Don't worry D, I like your hair."
He sheepishly smiled at her, "I like yours too."
He always liked the styles she wore her hair, he never got tired of it.
Theo scoffed, "What about mine?" He pretended to flip his hair. "Mine is much better than Draco's."
The two boys started to argue but Artemis ignored them as the match began.
"Per amore di Merlino." for the love of Merlin. Artemis shouted, making their attention snap to her, "guys focus on the match."
They both nodded, they quickly made funny faces at each other, before they turned to watch the game.
The entire Quidditch game is fast and dangerous.
even when Artemis blinked she would miss a goal, she kept her eyes locked on the snitch.
For the most part, the game was exciting. The two teams were bashing, beating, and battering each other, the people in the stands kept getting louder.
The Quaffle went between the hoops on either end of a large grassy pitch.
The snitch buzzed and screeched through the air.
Suddenly Artemis' attention went to Harry losing control of his broomstick.
Yikes.
It appeared like it was starting to knock him off.
The trio started to snicker.
The Gryffindor fans started getting anxious.
So dramatic. Artemis thought. He won't die.
"CAREFUL POTTER," Blaise yelled through the mic. "THE BOY WHO LIVED, COME TO FALL."
Slytherin fans laughed harder Blaise dodged the professors trying to take his mic.
He quickly guided Daphne to their friends before sprinting through the stands.
Daphne stood between Theo and Artemis, the two girls linked pinkies. Daphne noticed Draco's arm placement and shared a look with Theo.
'I'll tell you later.' Theo mouthed. She nodded before turning back to the field.
While Harry was having difficulties with his broom, Flint was in possession of the Quaffle; he was hit in the face with a Bludger but was still able to score, making it 20 to 10.
It was becoming increasingly difficult for Harry to hang on to his broom. Fred and George tried to pull him onto one of their Cleansweep Fives, but failed to do so; Flint scored five goals without anyone noticing, making the score now 20 to 60.
People really want to kill this boy. Artemis thought. Is he being jinxed?
Draco rolled his eyes, "And this is the youngest seeker in history."
Harry Got back onto his broom. dove towards the ground, "is this boy suicidal or something?" Theo muttered.
The scar head boy clasped his hand to his mouth as if he was being violently sick the instant he landed. "If he's going to throw up I will too." Daphne gagged, "I can't deal with sick."
Theo nodded, "Me either Daphne."
The crowd simultaneously gasped as Harry revealed the Snitch in his mouth. It lodged in his throat and he needed to remove it by coughing.
"HARRY POTTER HAS CAUGHT THE SNITCH." Lee Jordan shouted through his mic, as the Slytherin house collectively sighed and groaned.
Daphne narrowed her eyes, "Surely that's against the rules."
"Cheeky little git." Theo hissed.
Artemis slightly cringed, "Well technically he did catch it." she wasn't trying to defend Gryffindor but he technically wasn't in the wrong for once.
Draco huffed, "I wished he choked on it but oh well."
Gryffindor won 170 to 60.
"HE CAUGHT THE BALL WITH HIS MOUTH?? THAT'S A BIT GA-" Blaise was cut off by a professor taking his mic.
The group of friends laughed and made their way back to the common room.

Saturday, November 25th:
BOYS ROOM:
It was her cousin's birthday.
Blaise's birthday.
Blaise hunter Zabini was finally turning 12, and it took a while for Artemis to find the right present to celebrate his big day.
She already knew that Theo had talked up some third years and gave them some money to get her cousin a bucket of sweets from honey dukes. Draco had to make sure the cheeky git wouldn't eat any before today.
Draco had gifted him many all-black suits. Although it wasn't his idea, his father insisted on buying them for the Zabini boy. Draco knew that his friend wouldn't mind the gift, especially since Blaise loved dressing up in professional clothes, because it attracted many girls.
Daphne asked Artemis for help with her present. Daphne somehow got a picture with her and Blaise; they both wore big smiles across their faces. Daphne sprayed her signature perfume over it and Artemis placed a charm that would make it spell like her forever. She knew her cousin would love that.
Artemis thought for a very long time before buying her present for Blaise.
When they were younger, Artemis, Blaise, and Draco would always sign their initials on everything. It was a pain for their parents as they had to get their house-elves scrubbing it out every day.
They wrote their initials out in different orders until one day Blaise realised it spelled out B.A.D.
He told and showed their parents and even asked for it to be engraved in his belongings but he forgot about it around the time they had reached 7 years old, due to the death of Ezekiel Seramore. He thought it was insensitive to bring it up at such a tragic time, so he dropped it.
Artemis remembered their signature before they started Hogwarts, she even reminded Draco about it, he suggested getting it engraved on a piece of jewelry for his best friend.
She got B.A.D. engraved on a silver ring. She knew her cousin's ring size since he and Draco had a weird obsession with rings since they were younger and they roped the young witch into their trip, to have their hands measured.
Artemis preferred necklaces to rings, but she did like how they looked on some people.
It was 9 o'clock and Artemis and Daphne already woke up very early and got plates of breakfast to bring to the boy's bedrooms since they knew they slept in on the weekends. The witch's didn't care that they showed up to the great hall in their pj's, as many students were still in bed, so they didn't see that many people.
They had bought so many plates full of food, Snape cornered them and suggested that they should get a trolley, he awkwardly left after he found the one.
The two witches made their way to the boy's room. They narrowly avoided many Slytherin boys who tried talking to them.
Once they had arrived at their friend's room, Daphne banged her fists on the door until one of them had approached it. Theo swung the door open, rather dramatically, a scowl was on his face.
"Must you make so much noise, it's like 5 am."
"It's 9 am Theo." Artemis corrected.
Theo groaned, "That's even worse."
"Shut up and let us come in, we bought food for all of us." Daphne moved out of the way and showed him the trolley full of breakfast.
Theo's scowl left his face, he squealed and pushed the girls out of the way, dragging the trolley into the room. Somehow the other two purebloods did not wake from this and continued to sleep soundly.
The two witches giggled at Theo's actions and they began to scan the room as they walked in. They heard the sound of the door shutting behind them.
The room was a lot like theirs. Instead of two beds, there were three. The ceilings were low, but the room was wide. The beds were surrounded by green curtains, which were drawn to reveal the two sleeping boys.
Their huge trunks sat beneath their beds. Instead of a green rug, they had a green soft carpet that connected to the corners of the room. For the most part, their room was tidy, which surprised Daphne, since she expected it to be a pigsty. Artemis was aware of how Narcissa and Ophelia had constantly told their sons to make sure their rooms were tidy.
A tidy room equals a tidy mind. Artemis recalled their words, as she reached her best friend's bed.
Draco let out little snores as Blaise's head was engulfed by his pillow, his cousin wondered how he could breathe but she could see his sleeping figure rise and fall slowly.
She gently shook the platinum haired boy's arm, bringing him out of his slumber. When his eyes fluttered open he saw the warm and familiar brown eyes that belonged to his friend.
He loved her eyes.
She pressed a finger to her lips before uttering a word, she gestured her head to her sleeping cousin.
Theo and Daphne were sitting on the edge of the birthday boy's bed, careful not to wake up yet. The two had already begun to dig into their breakfasts since their stomachs couldn't wait.
Draco got up and combed his hand through his soft hair. He preferred it without gel but his father insisted that it made him look more professional with it.
He shifted over to allow Artemis to join him. She climbed into the warm bed and smiled at the boy, "I like your hair this way." she whispered.
Draco let out a small laugh, "It's a mess, Arty."
Artemis' eyes darted across his face, "Not to me, it looks more natural, more you."
He gulped and nodded, not saying anything because he didn't trust his voice.
I'll keep that in mind. He thought.
She snapped her fingers getting Daphne and Theo's attention, they put their foot to the side.
Artemis put her hand up, slowly dropping a finger as she counted down from 5.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLAISE!" they all shouted.
The birthday boy shot out of his bed like he had just been drafted for war, he fell out and landed on the floor.
His friends were in bits, Theo almost fell off the edge of the bed as well due to Blaise's reaction but stopped laughing once he thought his food would end up on the floor with him.
The now 12-year-old boy recovered from his initial reaction and got up from the soft green carpet with the help of Daphne. They smiled at one another.
He got back into his bed and moved over slightly and tugged the girl's arm, she nervously gulped and joined him.
"Bloody hell." he muttered, and shot glares at his roommates, "could've given me a warning boys."
"We didn't know they were coming until a couple of minutes ago." Theo shrugged. "Happy birthday mate." he began to dig into his food again. "I got you a bucket of sweets." he gestured to the large bucket that was being covered by his robe.
"Thanks, Theo." he smiled.
"Buon compleanno cugino," Artemis exclaimed, chucking a small box with a green ripped wrapped around it.
The 12-year-old caught the small object with ease, "Grazie Arty."
The cousins missed the way that small blushes appeared on Draco and Daphne's faces when they spoke Italian.
Even though Draco was used to it, he still adored the Seramore girl accent. At this point, Draco even understood Italian even though he didn't speak it. Being around the zabini's and Seramore's you were bound to catch on to the language.
The young Zabini unraveled his gift and smiled at the sight of the small ring. He beamed at his cousin when it fit perfectly. He almost got teary-eyed when his finger felt the engraved letters.
She remembered. He thought.
"What does it stand for B?" Daphne's voice snapped him out of his thoughts, "it's very pretty."
The Greengrass girl got distracted by anything shiny, her eyes were mesmerized by the gleam of the jewellery.
When she noticed her cousin not replying she spoke up, "It stands for Blaise, Artemis, and Draco." Daphne made a look of understanding. "Do you like it B?"
"I love it," he muttered, he still hasn't looked up from his gift.
Before they moved on, Artemis went to speak again, "Draco helped me decide on what to get for you." Draco looked at her and mouthed a little 'thank you.
'You're welcome' she mouthed back.
Blaise finally moved his gaze towards Draco, "Thank you mate."
"Anytime," he nodded with a smile "and you know my present to you is already hung up in your wardrobe."
"Yep." The suits arrived yesterday and despite Draco telling his friend to not look, Blaise waited for him to go to sleep so he could catch a glimpse of his present. He was happy when he opened his wardrobe door, he couldn't wait to wear them all.
Daphne held her gift out for Blaise to take. "Here you go B." she watched in anticipation as he unwrapped it.
"You didn't have to get me anything Daph." He was still grateful that he received a present from the blond.
She went to speak but a voice cut her off, "But I did?"
Theo looked at his friend in fake shock. He was lowkey thinking that he should eat all the sweets now.
"Shut up Theo." Daphne and Blaise said in unison, whilst Draco was too busy playing with Artemis hands to care.
Theo held up his three fingers that were in between his thumb and pinky, "Read between the lines." Blaise playfully rolled his eyes at his friend.
Daphne turned to look at the birthday boy, "It's not much because my mind blanks when I'm trying to come up with gifts for other people but I hope you like it."
She mainly shopped for herself or her younger sister. She thought that boys were hard to buy for. She would usually shop for anything that looked shiny; diamonds.
But since she had only known Blaise for a couple of months she thought that buying him diamonds would be too much and she didn't want to creep him out by being too forward, so she settled with something small.
He smiled at the picture, liking how good they looked in the frame, mainly him. "I do," he caught her strong scent when he brought the picture close to his face, " and the fact it smells like you is a bonus."
"How do you know what she smells like Blaise?" Theo said with a teasing grin. He just finished his first plate of food and was about to move on to another when he looked at the scene in front of him.
Artemis and Draco snapped out of their little bubble and laughed at Theo's words.
Artemis made a mental note to make a bet with Theo and Draco about how long it would take for her cousin and friend to get together.
"Go back to eating your food theo." Blaise glared at his friend before turning back to the blond witch in his bed, "It's amazing, just like you." daphne leaned up and pressed her lips to his cheek.
"Awww." Artemis Draco and Theo all coo'd simultaneously. They all received glares from the other two.
Blaise's eyes drifted to the plate of food that Theo was eating and then they locked on the trolley full of food and immediately shot off his bed, almost knocking Daphne off in the process, "why didn't any of you say we had food?"
Theo looked at the boy in disbelief, "Mate didn't you see me eating this entire time?" he was almost finishing his second plate of food.
"I was too busy opening my amazing presents,'' he winked at Daphne, causing her heartbeat to speed up.
"Yeah yeah, just get yourself a plate."
"Can you get me one please?" Daphne asked, he looked back and nodded.
"Get me one too." his cousin shouted from Draco's bed.
"And me," Draco added.
"Lazy twats," he still complied, "Dovrebbe essere il mio compleanno," He muttered but everyone heard.
Artemis laughed, "Shut up birthday boy,"
"Shut up Arty."
And for the rest of the morning, they ate their breakfast.
The girls eventually got up so the boys could shower. When they returned to the room they brought the various gifts that Blaise received from the other Slytherin girls that fancied him.
Daphne was reluctant to give them to him for some reason, but she didn't want to deny the 12-year-old his presents.
The group of friends spent the rest of the day in their nightwear, They didn't care to change.
Blaise received more gifts from his family. He was overwhelmed by the number of presents his mother gave him. Similar to his aunts and uncle, she spoiled him rotten.
Snape even gifted the Zabini boy 100 points but, he claimed it was because of the good work he did in his lessons.
But he slept through most of them.
After they discarded the wrapping paper and found appropriate places to put his gifts, the pureblood friends spent the rest of the day discussing Christmas and playing games.
Blaise had never felt so grateful in his life.
