SLYTHERIN DORMS:
Artemis got up from a dreamless sleep, and when she left her bed and woke up Daphne or at least tried to.
It took her 10 minutes and one good shove to get her friend to leave her bed, Artemis couldn't stop laughing when Daphne ended up on the floor after she flew out of her bed.
Daphne scolded the Seramore witch but then was reminded that she wanted to be woken from her slumber whenever Artemis woke up, so she stopped sulking and went to their shared bathroom.
Ciana and Diana flew back to their window around dawn, carrying letters in their mouths.
Artemis stroked both owls, before taking the letters, she placed Daphne's on her bed, before opening her own.
La mia bambina,
I'm not surprised that you made it into Slytherin, congratulations. I'm so proud of you and I know your father will be too. Another Seramore joining Slytherin, praise Merlin.
I want you to enjoy your time at Hogwarts because my years in Hogwarts are amazing and also some of the best years of my life, after all, it is where your aunt and I met our best friend and husbands.
However, I know you and what you are like, so if you are going to cause mischief don't you dare get caught. Siamo Seramore non idioti,
I've also sent over the books that your grandfather wanted me to give to you, they are little fairy tales that muggle likes to read apparently, he bought them on his travels with your grandmother Sapphire.
So keep them well hidden.
Don't just prove to me, prove to yourself that you will be even greater than our family name.
Please write to me often, I miss you.
Love,
C.S.
"I miss you to mum," Artemis mumbled.
After both pureblood girls finished getting ready for the day, they met up with the boys in the common room.
Blaise was complaining about how Theo was snoring all night which made him want to use the death curse on him, it started an argument between the two, resulting in Artemis settling it, by giving them some snacks.
Daphne and Draco started to bond over hair products that they used, while Theo plotted with Artemis about ways to hex their classmates.
Artemis told Theo that it would be easier to cause trouble at night than during the day, but she assured him that she would be his alibi if he needed it.
She already had different excuses brewing in her mind.
The muggle stories that her grandfather gifted her arrived later that day.
"Fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm"
Even though Draco claimed that he hated them despite not reading a single page of the book, he found himself being engrossed with them. He liked the gore and terror that was written.
It was the same with the rest of the group. Despite being purebloods who were supposed to hate muggles and all the things that they created, they seemed to like a lot of the stories told in the books.
Theo's favourite is Rumpelstiltskin despite the moral of the story being to tell the truth and take responsibility for your own mistakes, it was the same for Blaise as well, which confused them all. They argued that they liked the story because Rumpel tricked people out of their belongings, using certain words and phrases.
Daphne loved the ending of Cinderella because the step-sisters chopped off their toes to fit into the glass shoe and when their trickery is uncovered, the little birds that follow Cinderella around, peck the evil stepsisters' eyes out. When the Greengrass witch finished the story she started cackling; the boys became scared and when Artemis noticed their reactions, she joined in with her friends' laughter to scare the boys even more.
Draco's favourite is Peter Pan because the boy took pride in killing pirates and bragging about chopping off Captain Hook's hand. And if anyone broke his rule of 'never growing up' in Neverland, Pan would go about, mostly, murdering them. Artemis saw the evil glint in her best friend's eye when he was reading the story...she kind of liked it.
Artemis revealed that her favourite story was Snow White and the seven dwarfs due to the dwarfs' loyalty to the princess. Snow White was poisoned by the Evil Queen, so she wasn't around at the end of the tale, however, the dwarfs are left to take out the Evil Queen themselves, killing her and avenging their friend.
When they all finished reading the books they had many arguments, especially about one book in particular:
Rapunzel.
Daphne and Theo thought it was sweet that the prince wanted to kill himself to be with the love of his life, but the others thought it was an idiot because he ended up blinding himself in the process, which wasn't even worth it. After all, the princess wasn't even dead.
The argument went on and on.
Until they got too tired to speak and left to go to bed.

POTIONS CLASSROOM:
It had been 4 days since Artemis started Hogwarts. She and Daphne had gotten closer, it had helped that they shared a room.
Since she had arrived at the school, she had already sat through Astronomy class and transfiguration class.
Astronomy class was enjoyable for her, she always liked constellations, she always teased Draco when Narcissa would call him her "little star", which lead to her mother and aunt Lia starting to call him that as well, even though he appeared to hate it, he secretly loved their affection. The class was during the night, meaning Draco walked Artemis back to her dorm when it was finished.
He claimed that if she held his hand it would be easier for him to whisk her away if anything bad happened, to which she responded that she was stronger than him and didn't need to whisk away and that it would probably be her taking him away from the danger.
Transfiguration class was the day after and Artemis thought it was hilarious, McGonagall scolded the chosen one and his sidekick when they were late. Draco had taunted them about it but stopped when he realised they didn't get detention for it, he was angry for the rest of the day.
Artemis acknowledged that they of course got Gryffindor privilege, especially because the professor was the head of their house.
So she told Draco to be careful with his teasing because she knew Slytherins were more likely to be punished for doing nothing than a Gryffindor for causing trouble.
This made Artemis come up with ways to earn her points for Slytherin.
She purposefully transfigured objects that belonged to her peers and changed them back. In front of different professors successfully, she mainly did this in front of Professor Snape, knowing he wouldn't pass up on a chance of awarding a Slytherin student.
She even told her friends to do the same, which they did. By Friday they had been awarded almost 200 points.
Today was time for their first class of the day which was potions with Professor Snape.
Artemis had it with Draco and Daphne. The three made their way to the classroom with Draco staying close to the girl, because of the attention she was getting from the other boys in their year.
Despite Blaise not being in their class he still walked his cousin to her lesson and just glared at them all the boys until they looked away.
He thought it was too early to get into a fight with anyone so he just used his resting bitch face.
After he thought that he inspired enough fear in the other students he made his way to his DADA lesson with Theo.
Artemis didn't care but if the two boys wanted to prove a point then she would let them.
Artemis was looking forward to potions, although if she knew that it wasn't going to be her favourite class, she already knew a lot about it.
Basic things mainly, but it was enough to get by.
She sat next to Daphne, they were near to the left side of the room. Meanwhile, in front of the girls, Draco was accompanied by Goyle.
Artemis and Daphne were complaining about the ghosts in the girl's toilets but stopped talking when then the door bursts open revealing Professor Snape.
His long robe grazed the floor, as he walked swiftly to his podium.
Artemis noticed the LM logo on his Robe and held back a smile.
The La Mente line expanded a couple of years ago when Blaise suggested that they should add a men's line because he was tired of trying on his mother's clothes. she even heard that a couple of members of the ministry requested personalised robes.
Blaise will die when I tell him. She thought.
His face was impassive, lips were pursed and thick black locks shined in the light coming from the windows.
"There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to enjoy the subtle science and exact art that is potion-making. However, for those select few who possess the predisposition, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper in death. Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confident enough to not....pay...attention."
Artemis noticed that Snape's gaze was on the famous Harry Potter, who continued writing something down.
Judging from the look on Snape's face she knew he didn't particularly like him.
Yikes.
"Mr. Potter. Our...new celebrity. Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" Harry shrugs while Granger's hand goes straight up. Artemis rolled her eyes at the girl.
Who had this much energy in the morning?
The Seramore of course knew the answer but she wasn't going to eject from her chair to tell him.
"You don't know? Well, let's try again. Where, Mr. Potter, would you look if I asked you to find me a bezoar?"
"I don't know, Sir."
Daphne cringed and whispered, "To be fair, I don't either." Artemis smiled at her.
"And what is the difference between Monkshood and Wolfsbane?" Snape pressed.
They're the same. Artemis thought.
"I don't know, Sir."
"Pity. Clearly, fame isn't everything, is it, Mr. Potter?"
Draco and Daphne began to snicker but stopped as Artemis lazily raised her hand bringing Snape's attention to her.
"Now Miss Seramore can you answer these questions that Mr. Potter failed to answer?"
"Of course, professor. Powdered root of asphodel and infusion of wormwood combined make a sleeping potion so powerful it is known as a draught of the living dead, a bezoar is a stone found in a goat's stomach that can save you from most poisons, and there is no difference between monkshood and wolfsbane, a plant which goes by the same name; aconite."
The entire class looked at her in shock.
"Very good Miss Seramore, 10 points to Slytherin." Her friends smiled and a few Gryffindor students groaned.
Hermoine sneered in her direction, irritated that she didn't get picked on despite her hand being up the entire time.
Artemis returned the look, her brown eyes didn't waver from the bushy-haired girls, Hermione got uncomfortable being at the receiving of the Seramore's glare and huffed and looked away.
Daphne whispered to her friend. "Okay, I definitely need to study with you." Artemis nodded.
Draco grinned at his best friend, not only proud that she won points for their house but because she looked great doing it.
She always looked great. He thought.
He started to scowl when he noticed Harry looking at her, whilst she was engaged in a small conversation with Daphne.
The scar-faced prick. He gripped his quill, trying to contain his anger.
"Malfoy what are you looking at?" Goyle asked in a hushed voice, bringing Draco's attention back to him.
"Nothing, now Shut up and do your work." he hissed at the boy making both Artemis and Daphne giggle quietly.
Draco began smiling to himself because he made her laugh.
The class quickly finished. Daphne began packing up her things along with the rest of the class, who were practically running out of the room. She suddenly frowned when she noticed her friend was no longer there.
"Draco?" he hummed at her, he hadn't turned around yet, "Where did Artemis go?"
He spun around and noticed the vacant seat, and sighed, "She usually does this."
Daphne was perplexed, "But I didn't even see her leave."
"No one ever does."
"but-"
He cut her off, "She's like a ghost Daphne, you'll get used to it."
She hesitantly hummed and they left the room, with Goyle trailing behind them.

HALLWAY:
"He was stuttering the same way I do when my mum catches me going through her things," Blaise said to Theo when the two were walking out from their Defense against the dark arts lesson. The two were laughing about their teacher.
"S-students c-can y-you p-please f-focus" Theo mimicked, "Merlin it looked like he was about to have a stroke."
Blaise stops laughing when a thought dawns on him, "Thank Merlin he didn't, I would imagine that Dumbledor would have blamed us Slytherins."
"All those house points down the drain." Theo sighed at the thought.
"And then Arty would have killed us for that."
Theo shot Blaise a curious look, "Why does she want us to win so many points? it's only the beginning of the year."
"Because the professors won't be so focused on us when things go wrong." Blaise recited.
His cousin dragged him out of bed on Tuesday when she had thought of the plan. He started complaining because it was very early in the morning and they didn't have any lessons, but she pushed a plate of food in his face and he shut up immediately.
She explained how she wanted certain things to go this year, to which he called her a control freak and she reacted by taking his plate away.
She gave it back when he promised that he stay silent for the rest of the conversation, he complied of course.
She told him to make a mess privately and solve it publicly, using whatever he would learn this week.
Although he didn't learn a lot he still did what she asked, as her plans always worked out in the end.
"Blimey, I didn't think of that," Theo said with a smile. He understood why Blaise listened to her, even though it wasn't all the time.
Blaise nodded as they continued to stroll around school, "Yeah she's brilliant when it comes to staying out of trouble."
"Well, she is a Seramore." Theo shrugged.
Blaise went to speak when he felt a familiar presence, and the smell of apple body scrub, "I heard my name."
Both boys turned around, Theo jumped back with a scream making the cousins laugh.
"Bloody hell Artemis", The Nott wizard clutched his chest; his heart was thumping like mad. He almost grabbed his wand, before he looked at the girl, then back at Blaise, who did not appear to be shocked in the slightest at his cousin's sudden appearance. "Why aren't you as scared as me?" he shrugged in response.
He was used to his Cousin sneaking upon him, he got used to her disappearing and reappearing all the time. It did scare him occasionally, but because her apple-scented body scrub invaded his nose, he was prepared this time.
"I'm used to it."
Theo looked at Artemis again, "Where did you come from?"
"Potions," she said and linked her arms with Theo, making his attention snap to their linked arms.
Blaise begins to lean against the nearest wall, with his hands in his pockets.
"Isn't that on the other side of the school?"
"Yep," she said with a bored tone.
Theo was still very confused, "Did you run here?"
"I don't run." Artemis deadpanned.
She only did what was necessary, despite being very fast, she usually strolled or walked, mainly because her mother wanted her to keep up with her when she walked in her heels.
"Then how?"
"I just left early."
Theo cleared his throat and unlinked his arm with his friend's, "Well I think I just soiled myself so I'm going to the lads."
He ran away as the cousins were left to laugh at his retrieving figure.
Artemis tilted her head, "Well I don't usually have that effect on people."
"Obviously."
They continued to laugh until Blaise realised something, "Draco won't be happy that you held hands with Theo." he teased.
Artemis rolled her eyes, "I didn't hold hands with him" she gave her cousin a bewildered "and why would Draco care?"
The Zabini wizard was truly shocked, he didn't understand how she could be so oblivious to their best friend's infatuation with her but could be so perceptive in other situations.
"Because he's always been so overprotective of you, even more than me, which is saying something."
"Well, he isn't the boss of me soo..."
"Sei ingenuo." He spoke, his Italian accent rolling off his tongue, "Il che è sorprendente perché non sei un idiota."
She rolled her eyes, "Non sono ingenuo, a lui non importerà."
"Oh yes, he will," Blaise said with a teasing smile.
"Oh no he won't, and why would we? We're just friends."
Artemis didn't see the issue, so she thought Draco wouldn't either.
He sighed, already done with the subject, "Right, anyways let's go to the common room, I'm tired." he tugged on her arm, pulling towards the dungeons, he felt completely exhausted.
They only had one lesson today.
Blaise started to pick up the pace, earning complaints from his cousin, "Merlin, B you're gonna pull my bloody arm off," she whined.
"Oh shut up Arty."
