February 16th
SERAMORE MANOR:
A young pure-blood witch aged 11, with smooth caramel skin, sat on her four-poster bed which was positioned opposite her window, where the golden sun would slowly creep onto it in the early hours of the morning.
It was the day after her 11th birthday. The young girl had already bathed and eaten her breakfast but as soon as she went back to her room she got back into her comfortable pajamas.
On either side of her bed were lamps that sat on her bedside tables, despite the huge chandelier that hung from the white ceiling, it lightly swinging ever so slightly, that you would have to study it to catch it moving an inch.
Her walls were painted mint green, while the furniture that stood around her room was jet black.
In the far corner stood a huge mirror that covered most of the length of the wall, it was comforted by her obsidian bookcase.
She would often read muggle books her grandfather would send to her while he was on his travels, now that he and her grandmother were retired, she was always amused by how people without magic were capable of writing such beautiful literature.
Many of her Magic books were scattered around her, as she was always ready to learn something new.
She had put her twists into a ponytail, so they wouldn't get in the way when she was reading.
She was in the middle of reading "Hogwarts: A history." when her small house-elf appeared in her room, making her lookup.
"Mistress Artemis, Binky is here to tell you that Mistress Celeste has requested for you to come to her study." The small creature said she had big eyes, bat-like ears, and a lob-sided smile.
Binky was dressed poorly despite the number of times the Seramore's have tried and offered to get her some new clothes.
Artemis smiled, "Thank you Binky, I'll be right down." Binky nodded and then flashed out of the room.
"She could've just walked upstairs to my room, but now I have to leave my bed for this." the 11-year-old muttered, making her way out of her room.
She made her way down the long large corridor that could practically be room within itself.
She almost tripped down the wooden steps of her staircase, passing the many pictures of her ancestors that were hung on the high wall.
The young Seramore witch knocked twice on the door to her mother's office, she entered upon hearing a small yet firm 'come in'.
Once she had entered and shut the door Artemis was met with the huge grin that covered her mother's beautiful face.
Celeste Seramore was a very attractive pure-blood witch, just like her twin sister and just like the rest of her family.
Celeste was slightly shorter than Ophelia despite being the older sibling. Her once kinky hair was now straight and it had stopped at her bust, she was also wearing her pajamas, however, they were a silky black two-piece that covered all inches of her body.
it seemed all of Artemis' family members adorned a smile that could stop time.
The mature witch stood tall against her desk, she was surrounded by many mannequins who were covered in various materials.
She was trying to create her autumn line, despite the summer season not passing yet. Both she and Ophelia agreed that making another summer line was pointless due to the fact many people lacked clothes during the hot months.
"Mother, why are grinning like that? It's terrifying, please stop."
Celeste rolled her eyes at her attitude but still skipped over to her child, passing her a letter.
The young Seramore was very uncomfortable with the energy created in the room today, not entirely used to her mother skipping like a child.
She shuddered at the memory of her mother skipping with her cousin, she remembered they only had done it to embarrass her in front of her best friend.
She looked down at the letter, a huge smile taking over her face, the 'Hogwarts' stamp was sealing the opening.
She looked up at her mother who was also sharing the same expression, they both squealed and ran into each other's arms.
"I'm so proud of you darling, so very very proud." her mother mumbled into her hair, her squeezing around the small child, not letting her leave her to embrace just yet.
"Thank you, Mum," she smiled into her mother's chest, "can you keg go I don't think i can breathe."
When they both pulled away her mother shoved her softly, "you're so dramatic, now open it." The young witch poked her tongue out causing Celeste to laugh, she watched Artemis open the letting slowly, careful not to tear the envelope, "Oh God we haven't got all day AJ."
"And you call me impatient."
The letter read:

They both screamed in excitement, causing to Artemis do jump into their mother's arms again.
"Omg I need to get my equipment, my wand, my-"
Celeste had to cut her daughter off from rambling, something she rarely did. That meant she had to be very nervous
"My girl, breathe," we have lots of time for that as the term doesn't start until September, so we have many months. Also, you said you wanted to go with Draco as well as your cousin but will know he won't get his letter until June."
The 11-year-old nodded understandingly, "I'll just go write to them both about my acceptance then," she went to go to the door but Celeste pulled her back.
She shot her mother a questioning look when a sad smile appeared on the older Witch's face.
"Before you leave, I have something for you." The eldest Seramore walked to her long, broad desk and reached into one of the draws, her hand reappeared with a smaller letter.
She carefully walked towards her daughter who looked at the letter warily, "what's this mum?"
Celeste just smiled and softly said, "Go to your room and read it."
Artemis just hesitantly nodded and left the study, not seeing the small tear trickle down her mother's joyful face.
When the young girl finally got to her room, she shut the door and rushed into her bed, and pulled the duvet over her again.
Despite not knowing the contents of the letter she still opened the letter carefully, just like she had with her Hogwarts one, almost like she knew how important this was.
When she turned the letter around she let out a small gasp,
Dear mia piccola guerrira,
It was from her father.
I'm terribly sorry that I can't be with you or your mother, to see that you got your acceptance letter to Hogwarts. I'm so proud of you even though I'm no longer on this mortal coil.
You are a gifted witch and an even more brilliant person. Don't let anyone and I mean anyone tells you anything different because you are amazing.
You mean the world to your mother and me, and despite you being 6 years old when I wrote this, I could see the potential and greatness you hold.
Hogwarts will be challenging and may even be scary but I know you can handle anything that comes your way.
I've noticed how you scheme and plot sometimes and even I'm very impressed that you and the boys successfully took Luc's cane without him knowing for a whole day. I had to pretend that I didn't see little Malfoys white hair run past me on the way to your room with a stick almost as big as him
She had smiled at the memory of that heist, it was one of the first and won't be the last.
I know by the time that you are reading this letter you have definitely planned worse things, but still managed to get away with it. Don't worry I'm not mad at you, I'm in awe of what you are and what I know you're gonna be.
A light in this dark and gloomy world, since you were always my light.
Her eyes filled with tears.
And I know you are probably sitting there biting your nails, so stop.
Artemis pulled her hands away from her mouth, letting a small chuckle leave her lips. She had picked up the habit from Draco, he usually did it whenever he was being scolded by his father.
Also, let Blaise know that it was him who had stolen one of my ties to make a slingshot, that boy isn't subtle in the slightest, please train him well, I don't want my eldest godson ending up being known As a terrible thief.
Please look after your mother for me, I know she's probably worrying or stressing about her next fashion line or how to redecorate the manor. That woman is magnificent but is also an enigma, so be patient with her, just like she is with you.
And tell Draco to man up, he can't sit on the sidelines forever.
Artemis wondered what her father meant by that, she shook her head and continued to read.
I know you'll achieve everything I couldn't my child, and by then everyone will know you as a Queen and not a princess and you'll have your King or Queen that will bow down to you just like I did with your mother.
So you rest well princess, You'll need your sleep when planning the demise of the people will dislike at school.
Keep using that brilliant mind of yours.
I Love you forever,
E.S.
Artemis shakily put the letter down, rereading it a couple of times, not realising that a couple of tears appeared on the paper.
She wiped away the evidence of her brief moment of sorrow and clutched the letter against her chest.
"I'll make you proud daddy," she looked up at her ceiling not caring that it was blocking her view to the morning sky, "I love you forever."
