(Y/N) STOPPED AFTER walking past the opened door and she looked around the room to scan the surroundings, the room being exactly the same as she remembered it to be while Circe joined her side, standing right behind her.
"Oh, (Y/N). Movin' on up," Circe said. "So where are we now?"
"My old apartment. Kiara and I's home before she. . ." (Y/N) trailed off, not brave enough to say it out loud yet. "Peter and I had just defeated the Vulture. We were tired."
The other (Y/N) that was sat on the bed dabbed a wet cloth of alcohol into Peter's forehead with slow motions, earning a quiet hiss from the boy himself that was laying his back on her bed.
"Sorry," (Y/N) winced, pulling back her hand.
"It's fine," Peter groaned when he shifted his weight, his back still being sore from the previous fight. "It just burns, no need to worry."
(Y/N) hummed in response and continued with her previous movements. "Do you feel any difference? Are you okay now?"
"I should be the one asking you that," Peter replied, supporting himself with his elbows.
(Y/N) gave him a look with a raised eyebrow. "Why? You took the hardest hit out of the both of us."
Peter used his finger to lift her chin up in order to force her to lock eyes with him, his brown curls moving to cover his eyes. "You know what I mean. About what Toomes said back there."
"There's nothing for me to say. It happened and it's already past us, no need to worry," (Y/N) grabbed the ointment from the first aid kit and used it on her own arms that were covered in burns.
"(Y/N)," he said.
"Peter," she mocked his tone, which received a playful eye roll from him, shaking his head in disbelief.
(Y/N) sighed and closed her eyes while she inhaled a long breath to steady herself. "I. . .I'm afraid that what he said it's true."
"I try to be careful every day. To not make any mistakes, because the moment I do, they'll turn their backs on me," she continued. "Everyone is or will be afraid of me, Pete. I don't want the world to see me as the villain."
Peter nodded at her words and moved his fingers to lift her chin once again since she had lowered it while she spoke out her feelings. (Y/N) let out a quiet yet audible whimper of fear, and Peter brushed the hair out of her face.
"The world isn't afraid of you," Peter said. "I'm not afraid of you. They're gotta get through me if they think that's true."
"You don't mean that," (Y/N) shook her head, her hardened posture dropping while she said it.
"I do."
The scene froze in place and Circe frowned upon this, confused by the action. "What the โ "
The entire walls along with the furniture began to disappear and tear themselves apart as the entire room transformed into another place, all while (Y/N) stood in her spot with fear when she saw how the place morphed completely.
(Y/N) froze when she recognized the reddish rocks on her feet and the orange skies above her, trying to run back to the door where she had come from when she noticed it was gone.
"No, no, no. Not this again." she pleaded, and Circe grabbed her by the shoulders to restrain her and force her to watch the scene.
"Something's happening," Mantis's voice was the first thing (Y/N) heard and the two women fixed their attention on her.
Mantis disappeared as dust covered her entire body and the wind blew her away, all while her teammates Quill and Drax watched in horror, staring at the place she had dissolved in.
Drax's breath grew heavy and saw how his hands began to dissolve and looked back at his leader. "Quill?"
Drax disappeared without another word and Quill began shaking in his spot, looking around with fear and confusion. Tony seemed to notice this and took a step closer to him. "Steady, Quill."
"Oh, man."
Young (Y/N) let out a gasp when she saw how he disappeared along with the others and pulled on her intertwined hand with Peter to reassure herself that he was still with her, and he seemed to be thinking the same thing with a terrified look in his eyes.
"Tony, (Y/N)," Stephen called from his seat in the rocks, where she feared the worst. "There was no other way."
The dust had enveloped him completely and left no trace of him behind, (Y/N) cupped her hand over her mouth to muffle her yell of the man's name, looking around as she thought it was all a dream.
"(Y/N), Mr. Stark," the person she was too afraid to hear called with the same terrified tone as the others, and she looked back to see behind her shoulder.
A tear trailed down Peter's cheek. "I don't feel so good."
"No, no," (Y/N) shook her head frantically.
"You're all right," Tony's tone revealed that he was just as scared as her.
"I don't โ I don't know what's happening," Peter stared down at his hands. "I don't."
He fell forward into (Y/N)'s arms, and she pulled him close to herself as he buried his head in her shoulder with much panic laced on his voice, grasping onto her. "I don't want to go."
(Y/N)'s eyes were red from her stinging tears and Peter's pleads were getting more desperate, grasping onto her with the last part of life he had. I don't want to go, (Y/N). Please. Please, I don't want to go. I don't want to go."
The two lost their balance and Peter was the one that received the hard part of the impact, and (Y/N) knelt down beside him with her hands still holding onto him. Tony joined her side with hesitance and didn't know how to make the situation any better.
Peter stared into (Y/N)'s eyes and muttered under breath, "You'll be okay."
"I'm sorry," were his last words before the dust covered him all in a warm blanket and he vanished right in front of (Y/N)'s eyes, who let out a deafening scream when he dissolved.
Present (Y/N) could only stare blankly at the scene unfolding in front of her before it stopped once again, all while Circe wiped out the tear from her eye. (Y/N)'s bottom lip wobbled from keeping herself together since she had to relive that day over again.
"So, to recap," Circe began. "Guardian dead, father figure dead, Peter dead. You lost so much in just one day, (Y/N). All, in just one snap."
"I can't do this anymore," (Y/N) looked back at her. "Please, I can't โ "
"Come on, (Y/N)! You're on the precipice. You are right there! Tell me how you achieved it," Circe took a step to stand right behind (Y/N) as she regained her breathing. "Everyone was gone. You were gone. And when you came back, you didn't have no one to go back to. All because of one person. You wanted him to pay."
Something snapped inside of (Y/N) and she nodded along with Circe's words. "I wanted him to pay."
Another door appeared and (Y/N) quickly made her way towards it with Circe following behind her with quick steps. "I wanted him to pay."
