(Y/N) AND PETER had to jump from train to train to arrive to the city of Berlin without driving much attention to themselves. They both wore their new respective suits and got down on the ground when they finally reached their destination, having people gasp at the sight of the webs and the blue mist as they hit the floor.
"Excuse me. Do you know where. . .?" Peter turned to face a blonde woman walking by, minding her own business until she turned to face him.
"Nacht Monkey! Blaue Hexe!" the woman yelled out in German and ran away from panic.
(Y/N) sighed and dropped her hands in frustration as she whirled on her heel to began the long walk awaiting them, until a black car appeared right in front of her before she could take any other step.
The window rolled down and the figure of Nick Fury was visible now, driving the car. "Get in."
(Y/N) and Peter got in the car, him taking the copilot seat as she climbed on the middle seat from the back as Fury drove off the moment the doors shut closed. He drove through the busy streets of the city and kept his eyes on the road as Peter began talking.
Peter removed his mask. "Mr. Fury โ "
"You've got a lot of explaining to do," Fury said.
"You have to listen โ "
"Wait until we're secure," he cut her off.
Silence filled the car with the sound of the car chiming one of its alarms in the background, the flashing light warning to put the seatbelt on. Fury turned to Peter when he realized it was him and gestured to put it on to stop the chiming. Out of panic, Peter began to tug on the seatbelt in desperation to get it out but his strength got the best of him and he broke the seatbelt down.
Fury sighed and didn't say a word for the rest of the ride as he approached a building with security guards standing in the entrance for protection. The ex-director guided (Y/N) and Peter through the busy hallways of the building, filled with working people as he opened the door to another private room.
Fury shut the door behind him and he began walking towards the other side of the room. "So, is there anything you want to tell us about your girlfriend?"
Maria Hill noticed how Peter flicked his gaze to (Y/N) for a second and decided to clear it out. "He's talking about EDITH."
"Look, I know I made a mistake, and I'm sorry, but he is not who you think he is," Peter began. "Beck is a liar. Mysterio, the Elementals, it's all fake."
"He has some kind of illusion tech. That's how he managed to trick you and Peter into giving him EDITH," (Y/N) continued.
Peter grabbed the device from before and placed it on the table. "It's a projector. I pulled it off the fire monster in Prague."
"So all that death and destruction we witnessed was created by this?" Fury questioned as he pointed towards the projector on the table.
"No, not just this. I think he's using drones."
"Well, if this is true, then Beck's very dangerous and we need to get smart," Fury stated as Hill moved away from the table. "Who else did you tell about this?"
(Y/N) saw from the corner of her eye how Peter flicked his gaze from side to side and didn't answer the question, worry written in his gaze.
"Parker? Schmidt?"
"Hey, what's wrong?" (Y/N) turned to him.
"It's Beck. He's here," Peter confirmed and placed the goggles back on.
Fury grabbed a spare gun from his back pocket and frowned at the sight in front of him, seeing how the color and painting on the walls began to disappear, along with Maria Hill. "What? Hill?"
The entirety of the private building's design began to disappear and revealed what it truly was, which was an abandoned warehouse. Fury prepared to fire at anything that was coming.
"No, it's just an illusion โ "
A drone fired from behind the two and got a clear shot at Fury's chest, making him fall back against the hard concrete wall. "Fury!"
The drone from the back fired again and this time it was aimed directly at Peter and (Y/N), who didn't have time to react and they were both thrown out the window and fell through the levels of the warehouse until hitting the hard floor with a thud.
"Wow, kids, wow," Quentin's voice ringed through (Y/N)'s ears as she tried to stand up from the fall and noticed how it had an echo in it. "I thought we were close. Fury always had to die, but not you."
Drones surrounded them and a green laser light was pointed at (Y/N)'s chest from several angles as she stood back to back with Peter. "Stop running away!"
(Y/N) hurled a blast at one of the drones but it went right through it and saw how it began to disintegrate right in front of her, along with the rest of the drones and her surroundings, covering the entire place in a black blanket.
"I tried to help you walk away. Now you're making me do this."
(Y/N) saw how the same thing was now happening to her suit, changing it to the original one that Stark had made for her when he recruited her. Rows of lockers appeared from her sides and she was relieved to see Peter standing beside her, the two watching how cloudy green mist shimmered and Mysterio's outfit came out of it.
"You told me, you were just kids," Quentin continued and (Y/N) attempted to grab him with her powers and saw how only the green mist seemed to come out of her hands.
Quentin's voice reappeared right behind her, "You told me you wanted to enjoy your life while you could."
(Y/N) turned around to see that Peter wasn't standing beside her anymore and she began to panic until she heard his voice screaming her name at the top of his lungs and decided to run at the direction of the voice.
(Y/N) ran through the school hallway and saw how Quentin held a tight grip on Peter's neck, him trying to pull him away from him as he kicked out of panic and gasped for air.
"This isn't real, I know it," she said.
"Do you, though?" Quentin's grip on Peter's neck grew tighter and his skin began to turn purple from the loss of air.
(Y/N) tried to reach out to remove him from Quentin's grasp and hit her head with a concrete pillar before the illusion formed once again, surrounding her completely, the image of Peter shimmering out of sight.
"You don't know what's real now."
(Y/N) barely had time to process when the gloved hand of Mysterio's costume reached out to grab her by the waist and threw her to the side like a rag doll, and she fell down the remaining levels of the warehouse but managed to secure her fall with a small protective shield below her.
She blinked to regain her vision and saw Peter's form trying to get up a few feet beside her, and she instantly moved to help him up, seeing the broken car standing away from the two.
"Come on, come on," she whispered and Peter let out a heavy pant as he looked around in panic.
"I want you to leave. You need to leave," Peter frantically said, grabbing her by the arm to force her to look at him directly. "Please. Get out of here."
"Not without you. You need me now," (Y/N) answered without hesitance. Peter's eyes softened from behind the goggles and neither of them got the chance to say more, since the sound of glass shattering from above caught their eye.
The drones were flying down towards them and (Y/N) felt how a strong force pulled her away from Peter, the darkness enveloping her once again. Mirrors were surrounding her in a circle, and all she could do was look around for a place to escape as she saw the exact same image from herself in all the mirrors.
"You really are pathetic," Quentin said. "You're just a tiny little girl not knowing anything about herself."
The cloudy mist from her feet covered her and she coughed to not loose track of where she was and saw heavy stone statues at her feet and all around her, the familiar faces of the heroes that had sacrificed their lives for the world.
"I created Mysterio to give the world someone to believe in. I control the truth," Quentin's voice was laced with power. "Mysterio is the truth."
A sudden thud echoed behind her and (Y/N) formed a shield in front of her to redirect the green laser blast that the figure of Mysterio fired at her, dodging blast after blast as she formed her own energy balls in her hands.
"Don't. Don't talk to me about that. I don't wanna hear about your lies," (Y/N)'s anger increased and she managed to grab Mysterio in blue mist and walked towards him in a fast pace as she got him in the air, restraining him completely.
"The drones, the Elementals, everything are lies. Nothing of it is the truth!" she hissed and Mysterio seemed to grow frustrated about not being able to free himself from the mist.
"You have to understand โ "
"All you do is lie!" she yelled.
(Y/N) lowered her hand with a quick move since she attempted to drop Mysterio to the ground with a heavy thud and cause an impact, but when she saw the figure disappear in nothing but green fog, her eyes widened.
"Aw. Poor little (Y/N)," Quentin's voice returned. "Doesn't even know the full capacity of what she can do."
"What did you say?" (Y/N) muttered under her breath, forming another sphere of energy in her hand.
(Y/N) could only stare ahead at the black void and keep looking behind her shoulder to prepare herself for the next move. The panic was growing with every word, and the fact that she couldn't find Peter anywhere was scaring her even more.
"If you knew how to use your powers, maybe Tony and Kiara would still be alive."
(Y/N)'s breath hitched on her throat and the entire place went completely silent until she saw a strange figure crawling over to her with a fast pace, along with one other. Two seemed pretty familiar, and when they got close enough, (Y/N) almost let out a cry.
"No, no, no."
Tony Stark's figure stood in front of her, looking the exact same he did as the moment he died, and Kiara's seemed to have blood oozing from her skull and her eyes were milk white.
"You did this to me," Tony's illusion pointed at her, his voice raspy.
Kiara approached with heavy steps and gestured towards her skull. "You could've done better."
"No!" (Y/N) yelled out and covered her ears to block their words, her eyes shutting close to forget the images that had been haunting her for the last months.
"You made your choice. All you had to do was step aside," Quentin continued. "And now you have โ "
A deafening gunshot echoed through the entire area and the illusion faded away, seeing how Quentin's body dropped to the ground and Fury walked up with a limp, holding the gun in hand as a car approached the scene.
More identical cars joined the area and (Y/N) let out an audible sigh of relief when she saw Peter standing up from a pile of scrapped metal on the side, gasping as he saw the man. "Fury."
"Beck's people are trying to find everyone who could expose him," Fury limped. "Who'd you tell?"
"Um. . ." Peter cradled his face in his hands as he racked his brain for an answer.
"I know both of you told someone, so just tell me," Fury reasoned and (Y/N) began to take a slow step back, not trusting this. "Who did you tell? Who else did you tell?!"
"Just Ned and MJ from our class," Peter blurted out from the panic before she could stop him. "Maybe Ned told his girlfriend Betty, but that's it."
Fury let out a laugh and crossed his arms, and (Y/N) tensed when she realized she was probably right about what she was thinking. "What?"
"You two are so gullible."
"What?" Peter frowned underneath the mask.
"You're smart as a whip. Just a. . ." Fury's voice gave a quick change and it transformed into Quentin's voice. Fury's projection disappearing. "Sucker."
Quentin took his place and two drones were hovering on either sides of him. He wore a motion suit and a plastic helmet to cover himself from the illusions. "And now all your friends have to die."
(Y/N) felt Peter grab her hand in a quick motion as the two took a step back, forcing Quentin to come forward. "It's easy to fool people when they're already fooling themselves."
All the different illusions that Quentin had showed her began to fall and crumble all around (Y/N) as she continued to back away.
"But for what it's worth, Peter, (Y/N)," Quentin said. "I really am sorry."
(Y/N) frowned and barely had time to react when someone grabbed her by the waist and covered her mouth before she could even let out a cry for Peter's name when she saw how he got run over by a train. She kept fighting and fighting until her vision turned cloudy, the last thing she heard was Quentin's last words.
"You're not my problem anymore," he said.

(Y/N) BLINKED AS she regained her consciousness, jumping out of surprise when she realized that she wasn't in the abandoned warehouse anymore. Instead, she was laying on the couch of an unknown living room with a blanket covering her entire body.
She had been changed out of her suit and wore a pair of black sweatpants, an old shirt and a loose jacket over it, and this only seemed to worsen (Y/N)'s nerves. Someone had fixed her clothes when she was unconscious and there was no one around to confirm that.
A small table was right in front of her with a cup of tea and there was an untouched plate of food in it too, the indistinct sound of the TV playing filling her ears instantly. (Y/N) felt the need to stand up and investigate for something that gave her the clue to where she was, and decided to take a leap of confidence.
"Hello? Where am I?" she called, receiving no response.
(Y/N) stood from the couch and began to take a look through the entire house, searching for any sign of another person living inside besides her. She didn't receive any other noise after she continuously called out for someone.
The last spot she was missing from the house was the unlocked door that led to somewhere else around the house, and (Y/N) opened it, she saw a staircase that led downstairs towards the supposed basement, feeling a sudden pull towards it for a strange reason. She slowly walked down the steps and her eyes flickered through every corner of the room, not wanting to miss any detail as she walked.
As (Y/N) walked deeper into the basement, she frowned at the sight of long roots crawling over the walls and floor. Without thinking much of it, she followed the trial of the roots and walked through a dark tunnel of the basement, the air growing colder with every step.
The tunnel led to a dark and giant room with pillars surrounding it, the branches and roots continuing to wrap themselves around the entire walls. There was a glass closet with strange artifacts inside, but the thing that caught (Y/N)'s eye the most was the book placed on a table, orange mist flowing through it.
A metallic thud alerted her from another presence in the room and (Y/N) turned around just in time to see a familiar person walking through the tunnel she'd walked by a few seconds ago, heels clicking against the floor.
"(Y/N), (Y/N)," the voice said and she let out a gasp when she recognized it.
Cecilia came out of the shadows with a victorious smile written on her face as she caressed her hands through the fur of a black cat in her arms. "You didn't think you were the only magical girl strolling through Europe, did you?"
With a flick of her wrist, Cecilia shut the door closed and turned back to face (Y/N), and the smirk plastered in her face changed into a serious look.
"The name's Circe Harkness. Lovely to finally meet you, dear!"
