AFTER THE EVENTS of last night, (Y/N) woke up the next day with exhaustion, much to MJ's confusion when she saw the bags under her eyes. The two girls met up with the rest of the class after they packed their stuff, since their ride for their next destination will be arriving in the morning.
Betty was gushing over Ned's health, and (Y/N) could only guess it was a side effect from the tranquilizer dart that shot through his neck the night before. Peter got out of the hotel with his suitcase in hand and immediately joined the two.
"Hey, are you sure you're good?" Peter asked.
Ned saw his and (Y/N)'s worried faces and decided to speak up. "Oh, dude, I'm fine. Don't worry. Seriously, getting tranq'd in the neck by Nick Fury, probably the coolest thing to ever happen to me anyway."
"It is pretty awesome," Peter agreed.
(Y/N) gave him a concerned side-look, which he and Ned ignored since they did their secret handshake and she shook her head in disbelief. "I'm not going to say anything about that. I'm just relieved that we don't have to go to Prague."
"I know," Peter nodded at her words.
Mr. Harrington walked out of the hotel and grinned widely at the class. "Good news. We're going to Prague."
Everyone's excited faces changed into expressions of confusion and annoyance, muttering amongst themselves as they questioned the teacher's words. To (Y/N) and Peter, that seemed like the worst news ever.
"What?"
"Prague?"
"Yeah," Mr. Harrington answered. "Your company called. They upgraded us."
(Y/N) looked back at Peter and Ned, who looked equally confused as her, and the rest of the class was listening to what their teacher had to say.
"You should've heard me on the phone with them," Mr. Harrington continued. "I really gave them hell."
"All I heard was crying," Mr. Dell intervened.
The teachers guided the entire class through the streets to led them over to the vehicle that would take them straight into their changed destination, and everyone's eyes widened in surprise and awe when they saw the upgrade โ comparing it to the small hotel they had to spend the night in.
"Look at our upgraded ride," Mr. Harrington pointed out.
"I'm impressed, Mr. Harrington," Mr. Dell confessed.
(Y/N) followed along with Ned and Peter by her side, and she didn't want to accept the fact that Fury indeed had something up his sleeve and just lied directly to her face. She couldn't act surprised though, it was going to happen sooner or later anyway.
"(Y/N), Peter, what. . . ? What's going on?"
"I think Nick Fury just hijacked our summer vacation," Peter told him.
(Y/N) recognized the man from last night โ Dimitri, if she could recall his name โ standing right in front of the bus holding a card in hand that read out 'Midtown High.'. The bus standing behind him was big enough to fit the whole class, and it looked to be a modern design.
"I'm Mr. Harrington to the kids, uh. . ." the teacher extended his hand but decided to take it back when Dimitri only stared ahead.
"Awesome," Ned nodded before walking towards the bus.
(Y/N) let out a quiet groan at the fact that she'd have to abandon the school trip to take care of her responsibilities. She adjusted the backpack sling on her shoulder and began to join the class, not before she looked back to see Peter staring at the vehicle in hesitation.
"Yeah, awesome," Peter muttered under his breath before he followed after her, realizing that he'd have to change the entire plan over again.

๐EASTERN ALPS, AUSTRIA
THE RIDE UP the mountains was comfortable to say the least, since the leather seats inside the bus allowed everyone to have a small rest for the meantime. (Y/N) sat alone in the bus since Peter suspiciously wanted to take the back seat by himself and stared out the window, watching the beautiful green scenery outside.
(Y/N) was too busy staring outside that she didn't notice someone sitting on the empty seat beside her until she heard the squeaking of the leather seat, making her look behind her shoulder to recognize the intruder.
"Hey, hon," Cecilia greeted with her usual enthusiasm. "Haven't got the chance to talk you throughout the trip, so I figured I should join you."
(Y/N) offered a smile that didn't reach her eyes. "I don't mind the company."
"Good," Cecilia grinned and moved closer to (Y/N), much to the girl's dismay.
Cecilia wanted to entertain herself throughout the drive, since she decided to talk to (Y/N) about everything and anything as the drive went on. (Y/N) wanted to believe it was just an act of kindness, but the way Cecilia acted was strange.
After talking for a few minutes, Cecilia had her phone out and scrolled through her camera roll, showing (Y/N) all the pictures she'd taken in the trip and how she wished to take more.
"Oh, I wanted to show you my pet back home," Cecilia said and her screen showed a picture of a black cat sleeping soundlessly in a couch. "His name is Nox, he's adorable, isn't he?"
"He is," (Y/N) nodded slowly. "Since when do you have him?"
"My family's had him for years," Cecilia explained. "He loves the stage too. He played baby Jesus in the school's play once."
Cecilia kept gushing over her cat for the rest of the ride, and (Y/N) had no idea of how to make her stop. She wanted to pull herself back in staring at the trees outside but every time she did, Cecilia distracted her with another story.
All her worries were washed away when the bus began to slow down, pulling up on the side of a gas station in a small town. Groups of people riding in bicycles ran past them, along with an elderly couple doing their early workout. The place looked in good conditions and it was just several wooden houses all around, nothing compared to what (Y/N) was used to see back home.
The front door of the bus opened and everyone began taking their bags and walking on the aisle of the bus.
Dimitri was the first one to get down from the bus and he turned back to face the group. "Petrol and toilets. Ten minutes!"
Flash followed after him with his phone in hand, live streaming nearly everything he'd seen through the drive up the Alps. Brad and MJ were behind him along with Mr. Harrington and Mr. Dell, the latter wanting to rush into the toilet.
Mr. Harrington held a map in hand and turned to the driver. "Dimitri, where exactly are we?"
He didn't receive any answer, just a hard glare fixed on him that made him cower back in fear. (Y/N) and Cecilia were following after Ned and Betty, who were holding onto each other's hands and still wore their matching hats.
Cecilia joined her friends and (Y/N) walked after her until she looked back to see that Peter wasn't following behind her. Dimitri had placed an arm in front of Peter to stop him from moving any further, the glare still written on his face.
"Hey, what's wrong?" (Y/N) asked first.
"What?" Peter frowned.
Dimitri stared off to the side and carefully lifted a finger to point at a door, where a blonde woman was standing with her arms crossed and a serious look on her face before she walked away from view.
Peter began to walk in the direction of the door and (Y/N) did the same until Dimitri grabbed her by the arm to stop her from moving, she let out a sound of protest at this and looked back at the man with a raised eyebrow.
"Only him," Dimitri said in a harsh tone.
(Y/N) removed her arm from his grip. "Okay, okay. Go ahead."
Peter hesitantly kept walking and walked into an empty tavern with the a small light on. Chairs were stacked on the tables of the tavern and bottles of alcohol were still piled behind the counter of the place, not a single noise around.
The woman from before was standing in the middle of the room, an unimpressed look on her features as she watched how Peter awkwardly closed the door.
"Uh. . ." he walked close to her and extended his hand. "I'm Peter Parker."
"Take off your clothes," the woman replied bluntly, a heavy accent on her voice.
Peter retracted his hand and swallowed the lump in his throat. "Excuse me?"
"You told Fury Spider-Man cannot be seen in Europe. So I made you this," she reached towards the mini soccer table and grabbed a black pile of clothes. "Another suit."
"Oh, uh, thank you," Peter took it in his hands. "I'm sure it fits fine. I don't need to try โ "
"Take off your clothes," the woman insisted in a less calmer tone, crossing her arms and stared down the boy with her intimidating eyes.
"Okay. Sure."
Peter placed his backpack on the floor in a slow motion and began sliding down the zipper of his pants as the woman seemed to be loosing her patience. "It's a little embarrassing."
"Now. Hurry up."
"This is weird."
Peter slid his pants down and lifted a foot to remove it completely from his legs until the door snapped open, the daylight hitting through the dark room in an instant. This made both the woman and Peter jump back in surprise, but he only raised his arms in defense and the woman reached out for her gun.
"No, no, no. Don't โ "
Brad's eyes widened in surprise. "Whoa!" He looked at Peter up and down with a frown in his eyes and took a step back.
"Uh. . ."
"Sorry. I thought this was the bathroom."
"This is not what it looks like," Peter began, hiding behind the blonde woman. "Just โ "
"Yeah," Brad raised his phone to take a picture, the flash going off with an audible click.
"What are you doing?"
"I'll leave you two alone," Brad turned his back toward the two and walked away from the empty tavern, his eyes fixed on his phone.
The woman took this as an opportunity to take her gun out and aim it directly at the back of Brad's head.
"Oh, my God. Don't shoot anybody," Peter grabbed his pants and pulled the zipper up once again and rushing behind him. "Brad? It's not what it looks like, buddy."
Once he made sure he was properly dressed again, Peter walked behind Brad in a panic and began forming different sentences to come up with an excuse. "Hey, man, look, that's โ "
"Look, Peter," Brad said. "I'm not here to judge your life choices, dude. If you wanna hook up with some random European chick on our school trip, that's on you."
"No. That's not what that was."
"I can't pretend I didn't see what I just saw," Brad cut him off. "I know you're trying to get with (Y/N). It's obvious. But I like her too."
"Wait a minute. Hey, hey," Peter intervened. "You cannot show her that photo, dude."
"I'm sorry, man. I have to. She's your best friend, right? She deserves the truth," Brad said before he walked away with the phone in hand.
Mr. Dell came out of the store and yelled out in a loud voice. "Okay, put your one foot in front of the other, and everybody, back on the bus."
"It's been 10 minutes. Let's go!"

(Y/N) TOOK ANOTHER abandoned seat after the group boarded the bus once again to continue their drive to Prague, and she would be lying if she said that she wasn't bored out of her mind. Cecilia was chatting with her friends and MJ was taking a nap, and Peter didn't even meet her eyes after disappeared inside the empty tavern.
She had already finished the book that MJ had borrowed her and stared down at her backpack, where the small case containing the bracelet lay intact. (Y/N) tried to resist the temptation and grab it, but her thoughts in wanting to see how it worked got the best of her.
She opened the case again and saw the golden bracelet shining in all its glory, a small card slid underneath it with a note written on it. 'To the next Pepper Pots, if you know what I mean ;) Tap on the arc reactor.'
(Y/N) read it in a quiet voice and she rolled her eyes at the first sentence, a hint of nostalgia coming to her mind when she remembered how he used to tease her and Peter about it. She taped the tiny arc reactor after she placed the bracelet on her dominant hand and it glowed in a light blue color.
A hologram light escaped through the arc reactor and it had the design of the Stark Industries logo, nothing out of the ordinary for her until a feminine voice came out of it.
"Stand by for retinal and biometric scan," the voice said. "Retinal and biometric scan accepted."
"Why was he so extra on everything?" (Y/N) asked herself in a low voice.
"Hello, (Y/N)." the voice continued. "I am Tony Stark's general help to manufacture weaponry, along with EDITH, which is Stark's augmented- reality security and defense system."
"That's great. Can you show me what you can do?"
"Of course," the voice began. "I can help you manufacture any kind of weapon you need, along with having access to the entire Stark Global Security network."
"I. . ." she thought it was too good to be true, and wanted to discard it only for emergencies, so she reached for the case and placed it back inside.
(Y/N) lifted her gaze from the case and barely got time to react when the bus abruptly swerved to the side of the road, making Dimitri loose control of the steering wheel as he tried to keep the bus in the road and not fall down the mountain.
"Oh, look out!"
(Y/N) saw how Peter was standing in the front of the bus right when that happened, and frowned when she saw how nervous he looked as the rest of the class tried to steady themselves in their seats.
"Hey, this is not the autobahn!"
(Y/N) dared to look behind her to see what Peter was staring ahead to with much nerves in his eyes when she saw the figure of a white drone hovering right behind the bus.
"Peter!" Mr. Harrington called. "Plant your fanny and buckle up now."
"Look at the baby mountain goats!" Peter pointed towards the window in order to cause a distraction.
"Baby mountain goats?"
The entire group piled up at the left window and tried to search for any sight of mountain goats just like Peter had pointed out, staring off to the side and muttering amongst themselves in excitement unlike (Y/N), who stayed still on her seat to figure out where the drone came from.
Before she could say anything else, she saw how Peter jumped out of the emergency exit door in the ceiling of the bus and jumped right inside in a matter of seconds, his curly hair completely messed up because of the air. He caught his breath and winced internally when he saw that (Y/N) had watched the entire thing.
(Y/N) raised a questioning eyebrow after she sawย how the drone collapsed behind the bus and turned back around as the class got back to their seats, eyes filled with disappointment.
"I don't see any mountain goats."
"You missed them," Peter excused.
"I know you think none of us have noticed, Peter. . ." Betty spoke up and (Y/N) tensed in her seat, already fearing the worse.
"What?"
"But your new look, I love it," Betty continued with a genuine smile. "Right, babe?"
"Yeah. Sophisticated, classy and very European," Ned agreed as Peter fell back on his seat.
(Y/N) decided to approach him and ask what had happened, not understanding why the drone had flew in right at that moment. She walked through the aisle of the bus and got close to the front seats, not wanting to pay attention to Dimitri's hard glances.
Peter seemed to hide himself from something, since he was leaning on the two seats and still wore the pair of glasses that were gifted to him.
"So," (Y/N) made herself known and Peter jumped back at her voice, straightening in his seat and she joined his side. "You're gonna tell me what was that drone doing here or I don't want to know?"
"You don't want to know."
