(Y/N) QUIETLY LOWERED herself to the ground besides Tony's hiding spot, where he had snuck a look at the scene below him and nearly blasting off the red flying cape when it came too close to him and tapped him in the shoulder.
"Wow, you're a seriously a loyal piece of outerwear, aren't you?" he asked.
Peter hung upside down from one of his webs as he joined (Y/N)'s side. "Yeah, uh, speaking of loyalty. . ."
Tony's eyes widened in horror at the two standing right in front of him and all (Y/N) could do was offer a smile, which seemed more like a grimace. "What the โ "
"Don't panic โ "
"You should not be here."
"I was gonna go home โ "
"I don't wanna hear it."
"But it was such a long way down and I just thought about you on the way โ "
"And now I gotta hear it,"
" โ and kinda stuck to the side of the ship. And this suit is ridiculously intuitive, by the way. So, if anything, it's kinda your fault that I'm here."
Tony snapped his head in his direction. "What did you just say?"
(Y/N) covered her mouth with her hand to muffle the loud gasp that escaped her throat when she heard what Peter had said, nudging him on the ribs to catch his attention. "Take that back. Take that back โ "
"I take that back," Peter stuttered out his words.
"But hey, now we're in space. Isn't that cool?" (Y/N) stepped up in the conversation.
"Yeah, right where I didn't want you to be. This isn't Coney Island. This isn't a field trip. This is a one-way ticket," Tony walked closer to the two and muttered his words through his teeth. "You hear me? Don't pretend you thought this through."
"I did."
"You could not have possibly thought this through."
"You can't be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man if there's no neighborhood," Peter spoke up, his words causing silence amongst the three. "Okay, that didn't really make sense, but you know what I'm trying to say."
Tony breathed shakily and then looked down. "Come on. We got a situation."
He guided Peter and (Y/N) to the edge of the platform they were standing and made them lean forward to see what was happening below. Ebony Maw held thousands of needles hovering all around the man's body, some already piercing through him as he grunted out in pain but didn't give up.
"See him down there? He's in trouble," Tony explained. "What's your plan? Go."
"Um. . ." Peter examined what he was seeing and stood up from his knees. "Okay, okay. (Y/N), remember when we watched that really old movie, Aliens?"
โงโโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ : *.โฆ .* :โ . โโโโง
STEPHEN STRANGE CRIED out and screamed in pain as the rest of the needles pierced through his cheeks and temples, a faint white glow appearing under his skin as they cut deeper into him. He was hovering midair with his hands behind his back, not daring to give up the Time Stone that hung on his neck.
"Painful, aren't they?" Ebony Maw asked. "They were originally designed for microsurgery. And any one of them. . ."
He stopped his words when a loud thud was heard behind him. He whirled around slowly and glared at the two people standing in front of him. Tony was standing with his palms raised and full suit on, while (Y/N) had two blue balls of energy formed in her hands, preparing to attack.
"Could end your friend's life in an instant," Ebony Maw told them.
"I gotta tell you, he's not really my friend. Saving his life is more of a professional curtesy," Tony said under the helmet.
Ebony Maw directed his eyes towards the girl, a successful smirk plastered on his face as he saw her glaring at him, trying to act intimidating.
"Oh, poor little girl," he taunted. "You truly thought you could hide away from us forever. Pity."
(Y/N) faltered and dropped her tough facade. "What?"
Tony seemed to be confused from this too, changing his gaze from Ebony Maw in front of him to (Y/N), who didn't seem to understand either. Stephen on the other hand tensed from his place, nearly forgetting about the piercing needles in his body and silently begging for the alien to stop from saying any further.
"Your guardian should've known better than to put up a fight," Ebony continued. "She was naive, just as you."
This snapped something inside of (Y/N), since her eyes began to turn into a shade of blue and the spheres of blue grew bigger in her hands.
"You've saved nothing," the alien raised his hands and grabbed heavy materials with his own telekinetic abilities. "Your powers are inconsequential and too weak compared to mine."
"Yeah, but the kids' seem more movies," Tony shrugged it off and fired a missile at the side of the circular ship as (Y/N) hurled one of the energy balls to make him loose balance at that exact time.
The explosion from the missile caused a hole in the ship, letting in a strong tug from the outer space, pulling Ebony Maw out while Stephen yelped when he nearly got pulled the same way. Peter reacted quickly and shot a web at his back, grabbing to a pole before it broke, a set of spider mechanic legs appearing from the back of his new suit, allowing him to have an easier grip.
"Yes! Wait! What are those?" he yelled out.
(Y/N) lifted a hand in the air and blue mist escaped from it, using her powers to pull Peter in easily as Tony jumped into action to close the hole on the ship with a freezing gas.
She dropped her hands to her sides once the hole was closed and everyone was inside, watching how Peter landed near her with the red cape beside him, extending a hand towards it.
"Hey, we haven't officially met," the red cape seemed to consider it but moved away from him. "Cool."
"We gotta turn this ship around," (Y/N) heard an extremely familiar voice say as she moved from her spot to join Tony in the center of the ship.
Tony scoffed. "Yeah, now he wants to run. Great plan."
"No, I want to protect the stone," the voice grew louder as she got closer and saw how the cape returned back to its owner.
"And I want you to thank me," Tony moved away from him. "Now, go ahead. I'm listening."
"For what? Nearly blasting me into space?"
"Who just saved your magical ass? Me."
"I seriously don't know how you fit your head into that helmet."
"Admit it, you should've ducked out when I told you to. I tried to bench you. You refused."
"Unlike everyone else in your life, I don't work for you."
"And due to that fact, we're now in a flying doughnut, billions of miles from Earth with no back up," Tony stated as he looked around.
"We're backup," Peter said loudly with a raised hand, signaling to him and (Y/N), who wasn't paying attention to him and continued to examine the man with the red cape.
"No, you're stowaways. The adults are talking," Tony tried to dismiss them with a wave of a hand.
"I'm sorry, I'm confused as to the relationship here. What are they, your wards?" that was it. When he turned around to point at them, (Y/N) got to see his face and her eyes widened in surprise when she saw who it was.
"No," Peter cut in before she could say anything. "I'm Peter, by the way."
"Doctor Strange."
"Oh, you're using our made-up names. Um. . .I'm Spider-Man, then."
"Wait โ Hold up!" she held her hands in a 'time-out' motion and everyone's eyes turned to her. "Stephen?"
Stephen's posture straightened up and he looked back to think his words through, already dreading this moment. He thought his mind was playing tricks on him, but when he saw what she had done to free him and what Ebony Maw had said to her, he knew it was exactly her.
"(Y/N)."
"You two know each other?" Tony seemed frustrated that he was being left out of something although Peter seemed to be looking back and forth.
"What are you doing here?" Stephen took a step close to her, his red cape flowing behind him.
"What are you doing here?" She pointed at him. "I knew there was something sketchy about you since the beginning, I mean, you have the name 'Strange'. What else could I expect โ "
"(Y/N)," he cut her rant off. "You shouldn't be here."
"I already gave that talk, buddy. Get in line," Tony crossed his arms.
"We made a โ I promised Kiara that I would keep you safe," Stephen muttered under his breath as his hand rested on his chin.
"What?" (Y/N) slightly heard what he was saying, frowning in confusion at his words.
"That's not important. The thing we should be focusing on is on getting home," Stephen turned to look behind him. "Stark."
"This ship is self-correcting its course. Thing's on autopilot," Tony mumbled his words out.
"Can we control it?" Stephen left his spot close to (Y/N) and headed towards Tony, who was standing uncharacteristically quiet. "Fly us home? Stark?"
"Yeah."
"Can you get us home?" Stephen repeated.
"Yeah, I heard you. I'm thinking I'm not so sure we should."
"Under no circumstances can we bring the Time Stone to Thanos. I don't think you quite understand what's at stake here," Stephen took a threatening step closer. "Especially โ "
"What? No. It's you who doesn't understand that Thanos has been in my head for six years. Since he set an army to New York and now he's back," Tony snapped and stood face to face with him.
"And I don't know what to do. So I'm not so sure if it's a better plan to fight him on our turf or his but you saw what they did, what they can do. At least on his turf, he's not expecting it. So I say we take the fight to him. Doctor." he said. "Do you concur?"
"All right, Stark. We go to him. But you have to understand, if it comes to saving you or the kids or the Time Stone. . .I will not hesitate to let either of you die and (Y/N) to live. I can't, because the universe depends on it."
"Nice. Good, moral compass," Tony patted his arm. "Playing favorites, am I right? We're straight."
Tony sighed and walked towards (Y/N) and Peter, who had been standing on the side as they watched their argument with interest. When she saw that he was approaching, (Y/N) shifted the weight on her feet.
"All, right, kids," he moved his arm on both of Peter's shoulders and headed to (Y/N), patting her in the head. "You're Avengers now."
(Y/N) and Peter shared an excited look as they shared a victorious high-five, celebrating that they'd become what they mostly admired when the two were kids.
โงโโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ : *.โฆ .* :โ . โโโโง
"HEY, WHAT'S GOING ON?"
Peter frowned from his spot besides (Y/N) as Tony and Stephen stood side by side on the front of the circular ship, their eyes fixed on the 'window' below that showed a peculiar land that was getting closer as the spaceship lost altitude.
"I think we're here," Stephen stated.
"I don't think this rig has a self-park function," Tony left his spot and turned towards Peter, grabbing onto one of the metal handles that was supposed to control the ship on its command.
"Get your hand inside the steering gimbal," he said. "Close those around it. You understand?"
"Yep, got it," Peter did as he was told and nodded in confirmation, waiting for the next order.
"This was meant for one big guy, so we gotta move it at the same time."
"Okay, okay. Ready."
The circular spaceship was heading towards the surface with more speed this time and a loud rumble echoed through the walls, everyone watching how it was approaching a broken structure and would easily crash on it.
"We might wanna turn," Peter suggested. "Turn! Turn! Turn!"
"(Y/N). You'll be helping me," Stephen directed his eyes to her and she nodded, already knowing what to do to make the ship loose speed, all while Stephen stood in the middle of the group.
She thrusted her hands to the side and blue mist formed all around the ship, her plan intending to making it slow down with her powers. The blue hues expanded all around her and she pulled back with all her strength, which was working, Stephen had clapped his hands together to form a protective shield around all of them, orange strings and circles surrounding them.
The spaceship hit the ground harshly, breaking the upper half of its circle on the way but didn't get to damage itself even further because of what they had done to slow it down. When the shaking all around her stopped, (Y/N) dropped her hands and panted to catch her breath.
Peter dangled upside-down from the ship slowly and turned to the group, "Let me just say, if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something and I eat one of you, I'm sorry."
"I do not want another single pop culture reference out of you for the rest of the trip. You understand?" Tony pointed his finger at him.
"I'm trying to say that something is coming," Peter pointed behind him.
A small sphere rolled over to them and exploded at their feet, throwing all of them back as it covered the floor with smoke. (Y/N) hit her back when she landed on the ground a few feet away, looking around her to see who had done it to see three different figures coming from the side.
One was holding two identical guns and had a helmet on his head, two red circles that allowed the person behind it to see. A feminine figure was beside him, a pair of antennas being on her head. The other man was bulkier than the other, a knife in his hand as he cried out, "Thanos!"
(Y/N) formed blue mist in her hands and directed two single blasts at the woman with the antennas, knocking her back when she saw how the antennas glowed when she set eyes on her. Peter seemed to have recovered from the blast that had thrown him back and shot his webs at the woman.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Please don't put your eggs in my friend!"
The man with the mask kicked Peter back and lowered himself to the ground after having a fight with Tony in the air. "Stay down, clown."
(Y/N) noticed how the man was now directing his identical guns at her and she dodged the shot, being able to form two balls of energy in her hands and ducking all the man's attacks with them. She used her powers to take one of the guns out of his grasp, throwing it to the side as she saw Peter jump back into the fight to help her.
The masked man saw this coming and shot directly at Peter, wrapping an electrical rope around him to restrain him. (Y/N) used the two energy spheres in her hands to throw him back into the ground, just in the exact moment that he elbowed her in the face, making her stagger back.
When (Y/N) regained her fighting posture, she saw Tony pinning the other bulky man in the ground with a blast on his face, Stephen forming an orange shield for himself while the woman tried to free herself from the webs.
The masked man grabbed Peter from the floor and wrapped an arm around his neck to restrain him. "Everybody stay where you are. Chill the eff out."
He removed his mask and pointed his remaining gun at the others in front of him. "I'm gonna ask you this one time. Where is Gamora?"
"Yeah, I'll do you one better. Who's Gamora?" Tony asked as his helmet fell back from his head.
"I'll do you one better. Why is Gamora?" the man on the floor questioned next.
"Everyone's asking where or who she is, but has anyone cared to ask how is Gamora?" (Y/N) said as her hands formed another ball of energy.
"Tell me where the girl is or I swear to you I'm gonna French fry this little freak," The man pointed the gun at Peter's head.
"Let's do it. You shoot my guy and I'll blast him. Lets go!" Tony pointed to the man he was standing above and a larger gun formed on the palm of his hand.
"Do it, Quill! I can take it."
"No, he can't take it!" the woman with the antennas cried out.
"She's right. You can't," Stephen spoke up.
"Oh, yeah? You don't wanna tell me where she is? That's fine," the man, now known as Quill, raised his voice. "I'll kill all four of you and I'll beat it out of Thanos myself. Starting with you."
"Wait, what, Thanos?" Stephen perked up at the name. "All right, let me ask you this one time. What master do you serve?"
"What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say, 'Jesus'?" Quill scoffed.
Tony dropped the hand that was aiming at him and exhaled a long breath. "You're from Earth."
"I'm not from Earth, I'm from Missouri."
"Yeah, that's on Earth, dipshit," Tony snapped. "What are you hassling us for?"
"So you're not with Thanos?" Peter spoke up from his restrains against Quill.
"With Thanos?" Quill frowned and looked extremely disgusted at the idea. "No, I'm here to kill Thanos. He took my girl. Wait, who are you?"
"We're the Avengers, man."
"You're the ones Thor told us about," the woman with the antennas pointed out.
"You know Thor?" Tony asked.
"Yeah," Quill confirmed. "Tall guy, not that good-looking, needed saving."
"If you're gonna lie about him, at least make it believable," (Y/N) offered advice.
"Where is he now?" Stephen questioned.
