Montgomery the day after when he realizes that Alex lied to Ilona about him cheating on a random girl.

Ilona's P.O.V

Our hands were entangled together, we walked down the hallways with stares. My gaze turned towards the jocks who were howling and hollering at Monty. "GET SOME MONTY!" They yelled. My cheeks redden at this. Monty's head dips down, his lips were close to my ear. His hot breath fans on my neck. "Don't listen to them. It's only me and you in the world. Together." I couldn't help to smile at this.

He drops me off by my locker and leaves for his locker. I grabbed all my books and shut my locker. I turned on my heel to be stopped by Alex. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Oh hey Alex. Didn't see you there."

"Look Ilona, I need to tell you something..." Alex says lowly.

"Yeah... what is it?" I asked suspiciously.

"Monty is cheating on you with Delia." Alex says while biting his lip. My face falls when he tells me this, tears start to slip onto my cheeks. "Thanks for telling me.." I stuttered.

Alex whispers, "If you need anything, I will be there for you."

"Thanks Alex." I said while pulling him into a hug. His arms wrapped around my waist and dips his head into the crook of my neck. I pull away and wiped my eyes with the back of my hand. "I'm going to break up with Monty right now."

"You go get em, Tiger." Alex says while chuckling. 

I walked away to see Monty with his friends, Bryce, Zach, Marcus and Justin. I walked up to him and struggled to say. "Monty, I know you're cheating on me with Delia." I said while turning around, pointing at Delia who was behind me. Her eyebrows furrowed and kept walking. I heard Bryce whisper to Justin. "She's feisty isn't she?"

"What do you mean, babe?" Monty asked.

"I know your cheating on me with Delia. A little birdie told me and I'm breaking up with you." My words hit him hard, he stumbles back. A pained look spread across Monty's face. I then walked away, I muttered to myself. "Stay strong, Ilona." 

- 1 week later -

Whistling to the own tune in my head, I shut my locker. I turned on my heel to come face to face with Zach Dempsey. "Phew! Zach. You scared me." I admit. 

There wasn't a smile on his face like their usually was, it was replaced with a frown. "Listen Ilona, Alex lied."

"What?" I asked, shocked.

"Alex lied. He's been talking to you ever since you and Monty broke up. He wanted to 'hook up' with you. Monty has been a mess. He's at Bryce's pool house, downing alcohol. I never saw Monty this upset. I know he was a player but he never felt like this before. Quite frankly, he looks like a mess." 

"Now I feel bad." I said while biting my lip.

"Can you take me there after school?" I asked. Zach nods and smiles at me.

I walked away from Zach and went to Alex's locker. He smiled at me. "Hey Ilona!"

"Don't 'hey Ilona' me, you lied to me. Monty didn't cheat on me, did he?" I asked with a growl in my voice. His shoulders slumped.

"I'm sorry!" He says. He then breathes. "I like you Ilona. I hated how he made you happy. I wanted you and me to be together. So I made a little lie to make you break up with him. I honestly didn't think, Ilona. Please don't hate me." He whispers the lat part out.

"I don't hate you, Alex." I said while closing my eyes. "Just don't talk to me ever again."

With that, I walked away.

"Thanks for the ride Zach." I said.

I knock on Bryce's door, he was in one of his blue flannels and a white t-shirt. He looked happy to see me. "Ilona finally. Please take Monty away. He's been crashing at my pool house." He informs. I nodded, he opened the door wider so I could walk in. He leads me to his pool house. I see Monty on the couch, with his eyes glued to the screen. He pauses and takes a swig of beer. He didn't look so well. His hair wasn't washed, he had bags under his eyes and tear stained cheeks.  

"Monty." I whispered. His head turns towards me, he frowns and goes back to his game. I sat down on the couch next to him.

"Monty please. I'm sorry." I said. I trail my fingers through my hair, I do that when I was stressed. "I didn't know Alex was lying. I shouldn't of broken up with you on the spot. I- I just- When I heard that you were cheating on me, my wall came up and I tried to ignore the signs that Alex really did like me. I'm sorry. Please forgive me?" I asked, whispering the last part out.

Without saying anything, Monty crashes into my lips. "I missed those strawberry lips." He says in between the kisses.
