a deep rumble echoed the town causing you to look up lazily slightly at the sky. dark gray puff clouds painted the sky, blocking the sun. you returned your gaze on the headstone. it was your beloved fiance, jeff atkin's headstone. your lips parted slightly as you leaned forward to brush your fingers across the epitaph. you smiled softly as you mouthed the words that were carved onto the headstone. 'jeff atkins. beloved son and fiance. fellow base ball player of liberty high '  your lip quivered before the streams of tears rolled down your cheeks. thunder rippled through the gray skies before rain started to fall. 

rain only made the moment worse...

"rain." both jeff and you said in unison as you peered outside your bedroom window. your lips curled into a lopsided grin before you both darted downstairs. you were both out the door in the matter of seconds. 

a light and caring laugh escaped your rosy lips. you felt the rain hit your skin. you looked up at the sky and grinned widely. you twirled in a circle as the rain soaked your dry clothes. you always wanted to dance in the rain but you never had the time until now. you then looked over to jeff who smiled into the rain as well. his beautiful cerulean eyes met yours. you ran over to him causing his arm to wrap around your waist, pulling you in a full circle before his lips collided into yours. electricity chorused through your bodies. you hummed through the kiss out of delight. jeff always left a warm and fuzzy feeling that made you seem lighter. as if you were walking on air.

"i love you, y/n." jeff declared by pulling away from the kiss. "you bring me to my knees by only glancing at me, y/n. whenever you smile, you bring light into my world. i want spend every second of my life by your side. now will you?" 

with that, he bent down on one knee. he pulled out a black ring box, and opened it.

it was a beautiful diamond engagement ring. you gasped softly as tears of joy rolled down your cheeks. instead of answering, you threw your arms around him embracing him in a hug.

"i do." you mumbled as your fiddled with your ring finger. that held his and your engagement ring.
