So wake up and stay with me...
Time set: The Phantom Menace
(Y/N) Pov.
"Where are we going?" The blonde asked from beside me as we looked out the window.
"To Naboo." I replied glancing at him and giving him a smile. "We're nearly there, Anakin."
"And what will we do there?" Anakin questioned confused.
"To be honest, I don't know." I shrugged. "But I have a feeling there will be war."
I saw him gulp but turned back to watch the ship enter the atmosphere of the planet. I've been to Naboo once, that was also the time when we escaped to Tatooine and met Anakin.
Appearently we couldn't land at a solid ground so we had to stop the ship in a deep forest. I rushed over to the door as it opened and stepped out to the fresh air. As a jedi I had to get used to travelling alot in space so I always liked to be outdoors.
"Hello there, young (Y/N)." Qui-gon greeted me as he also walked into the forest.
"Oh, Master Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan." I bowed and gave them each a smile.
The two of them then went ahead and talked to Jar-Jar while the others were unloading the ship. I saw Anakin rush out and look around catching every detail of the forest. I smiled and made my over to him so I could keep him company.
"Woah." Anakin muttered then turned around to face me. "This is what a forest is like?"
"Yes, it is." A small laugh escaped my lips. "This is the first time you seen one?"
"Well, I'm from a desert planet so..." He trailed off.
"Right, sorry." I replied grabbing the lightsaber from my belt. "If you don't mind, I'm going to practice a little bit."
"Can I come?" Anakin grinned excitedly.
"Of course." I smiled back as the two of us walked a little bit into the forest.
Once at a safe distance from the ship I ignited my weapon and began practicing a few moves. Anakin sat down on a log and watched with a gaping mouth which made me laugh. I swung the lightsaber around while blocking invisible attacks and throwing some of my own.
After a few minutes I decided to let Anakin try it out. I handed him my blue saber and began teaching a few easy moves to him, so if he becomes a jedi he would know the basics. He was having fun, with a big smile on his face he handed my weapon back and I attached it back to my belt. I turned around and saw Qui-gon smiling at us then motioned us over.
"Jar-Jar is nearly back, you two can go over to the Queen." Qui-gon explained.
"Alright, master." I bowed my head and grabbed Anakin's hand dragging him over to the said place.
Soon enough the creature climed out of the water and waddled over to the the three standing up front. He started telling the something which I couldn't really make out but then they all rushed past us. I looked over to Anakin who just shrugged and we started following them into the forest.
----------------------------
Before we knew it a few gungans found us and led us to their hiding place. The two guards walked up front while there was a big line of us behind them.
"Your Honor, Queen Amidala of the Naboo." The gungan announced and stepped to the side.
"Ah, ello dare, ye big Boss Nass, You Honor." Jar Jar stutters as we walked up to the clearing.
"Jar Jar Binks, who's da uss-en others?" Another gungan asked with a weird headpiece.
Then the Queen stepped forward getting all the attention to her.
"I am Queen Amidala of the Naboo... I come before you in peace." She spoke up.
"Ah, Naboo biggen. Yousa bringen da Mackineeks..." The leader replied. "Yousa all bombad."
Our group all looked at eachother nervously, obviously thinking they were no help. I started fidgeting with the hem of my cloak trying to calm my nerves but I was scared on what else he was going to say.
"We have searched you out 'cause we wish to form an alliance..." The Queen continued but was interupted by Padmé walking past her.
"Your Honor!" She said making the gungan turn to her.
"Whosa dis?" He asked looking at the other creatures beside him.
"I am Queen Amidala." Padmé stated making me look at her shocked.
Forget about me being scared, I am now astonished. Anakin and everyone else also seemed to have the same thoughts as me.
"This is my decoy... my protection... my loyal bodyguard." She continued pointing to the girl behind her. "I am sorry for my deception, but it was necessary to protect myself. Although we do not always agree, Your Honor, our two great societies have always lived in peace. The Trade Federation has destroyed all that we have worked so hard to build. If we do not act quickly, all will be lost forever...I ask you to help us...no, I beg you to help us. We are your humble servants..."
Padmé bowed down to the ground earning a gasp from the gungans and her handmaidens. She looked back up to the leader once more.
"Our fate is in your hands."
Soon everyone started to bow down and I looked around confused before doing the same. The gungans were all puzzled but then their leader started to laugh.
"Yousa no tinken yousa greater den da Gungans.. Mesa like dis. Maybe wesa bein friends."
I gave out a breathy chuckle as everyone erupted into cheers. I wasn't happy yet though, we still have a battle we need to win.
-timeskip-
We were all gathered around a small clearing in the forest making battle plans. The gungans were arriving we just had to wait for their leaders to show up finally. Anakin was by the edge of he swap to let us know if they came while we were concentrated on planning out the attack.
"They're here!" Anakin yelled as he ran over to us and stopped by my side.
"Good, they made it." Padmé exclaimed as she began talking about the plan again.
I could hear the gungan's leader talk to Jar Jar from behind us but tried to ignore them. I had to focus on the plan like I always did whenever I went on missions like this. Then the two creatures walked over to the
"What is the situation?" Padmé asked.
"Almost everyone's in camps. A few hundred police and guards have formed an underground resistance movement. I brought back as many of the leaders as I could." Captain Panaka explained to us. "The Federation Army's also much larger than we thought, and much stronger. Your Highness, this is a battle I do not think we can win."
"The battle is a diversion. The Gungans must draw the Droid Army away from the cities. Artoo, we can enter the city using the secret passages on the waterfall side. Once we get to the main entrance, Captain Panaka will create a diversion. Then we can enter the palace and capture the Viceroy. Without the Viceroy, they will be lost and confused." She replied showing her plan on a hologram. "What do you think, Master Jedi?"
"The Viceroy will be well guarded." Qui-gon answered nodding his head.
"The difficulty's getting into the throne room. Once we're inside, we shouldn't have a problem." The captain said frustrated.
"There is a possibility, with this diversion many, Gungans will be killed." The jedi master continued.
"Wesa ready to do are-sa part." Anakin and I looked at eachother with interest.
"We have a plan which should immobilize the Droid Army. We will send what pilots we have to knock out the Droid control ship orbiting the planet."
"A well-conceived plan. However, there's great risk. The weapons on your fighters may not penetrate the shields." The jedi beside Obi-Wan stated.
"And there's an even bigger danger. If the Viceroy escapes, Your Highness, he will return with another droid army." Obi-Wan chimed in.
"Well that is why we must not fail to get to the Viceroy. Everything depends on it."
----------------------------
We were all creeping around the walls towards the main hanger. Anakin, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Padmé, a few others and I were at the front while a lot more soilders followed behind us. Padmé started to signal the others with a red layer, and with a closer look I could see a faint blue one flicker.
"Once we get inside, you find a safe place to hide and stay there." Qui-Gon told Anakin a he bowed down to his level.
"Sure." He replied simply.
"Stay there!" He pointed a stern finger at him.
He stood up and we began to run towards the hanger while the other group got the attention away from us. I ignited my lightsaber along with the two other jedis and began dodging the shots fired in our direction. As the door opened we all rushed inside, but still had to keep and eye out for attacks.
The pilots all ran to the ships and began to take off so they could attack from space. I gave Anakin a reassuring look which made him more comfortable leaving me here in the battlefield while he went to take cover. I slashed some droids that were advancing our way and made sure Padmé and the others had a safe pass.
"My guess is the Viceroy is in the throne room." She said and they started to walk back to the doors.
I followed after them and glanced up at Anakin who was about to climb out.
"Hey! Wait for me." He yelled.
"Anakin, stay where you are. You'll be safe there." The jedi replied and continued when Anakin was about to protest. "Stay in that cockpit!"
I glanced at him with a sad look but then a freezing cold wave went through me. This wasn't good, someone was here. The door opened as we all stood there but a cloaked figure was waiting for us on the other side.
"We'll handle this. (Y/N), stay in the hanger and don't go anywhere." Qui-Gon ordered as he watched the sith like a hawk.
I nodded and turned around as Padmé ran away with the otherss, and the two jedis began to fight the sith. I ran towards the battle droids who came out of nowhere and while jumping on smaller boxes I managed to destroy them all.
I did the same for who knows how long already, I killed all the droids, dodged the shots, helped the ones in the hanger. I was only interupted with Anakin flying away with the ship. I knew he wouldn't be able to stay in one place. I began to do my job once more before a weird feeling passes me.
"Qui-Gon..." I mumbled caught of guard.
-timeskip-
Everyone was outside in the courtyard as the chancellor's ship began to decend to the ground. As it touched the ground the ramp lowered and there was a small silence. I turned to Anakin who just told me his story.
"You blew up the whole battleship?" I asked him shocked.
"Yeah, I did." Anakin replied proudly, payfully puffing out his chest.
"Oh, wow. That's amaizing, Anakin!" I grinned at him.
We were nudged by Obi-Wan who shushed us and led us after the viceroy towards the chancellor. We all bowed infront of him as a greeting and I felt Anakin's hand slip into mine.
"We are indebted to you for your bravery, Obi-Wan Kenobi and young Kothari. And you, young Skywalker, we will watch your career with great interest." Palpatine said as he walked away before putting a hand on Anakin's shoulder.
The politicians still continued to talk while I turned to Obi-Wan with a sad look.
"Is Qui-Gon actually..." I started.
"Dead. Yes...he is." Obi-Wan answered with a hint of sorrow in his voice.
"I'm sorry...I know you really appreciated him." I smiled sadly and walked back over to Anakin.
We talked for a while until Master Yoda arrived. He immediately greeted me and told me I did good, and I did good on the mission. I thanked him and bidded him goodbye as he walked away with Obi-Wan probably to talk about Anakin's fate and the fallen jedi master.
The night slowly came upon Naboo and we were all standing around the fire lit body of Qui-Gon. I knew this is what they did to the jedi when they died but this was my first experience of it. We all had are hoods on and stood there silently as the flames continued to burn.
"What will happen to me now?" Anakin asked as Obi-Wan and I turned to look at him.
"The Council has granted me permission to train you. You will be a Jedi, I promise." He answered giving him a small smile.
----------------------------
The next day there was a big parade at the Capital of Naboo for their new found freedom. The gungans were playing some music as they walked down the isle of citizens towards the main staircase.
I stood beside Anakin who now had shorter hair with a padawan braid and new jedi robes. I had to help him figure out how it was even supposed to look like in the morning, but somehow we figured it out. He always stood closely next to me everytime we went anywhere I noticed. I watched as the gungans walked up to meet Padmé up top as she handed him a glowing ball. Boss Nass took it eagerly and held it up proudly into the air.
"Peace!" He yelled over to already cheering croud.
Even more yells erupted as Naboo finally had peace and freedom. I smiled and felt Anakin hug me which took me off guard. I slowly hugged him back, a little bit awkwardly since I wasn't really used to physical affection.
"I can't wait to become a jedi! Will we see eachother a lot?" Anakin asked me with a wide smile.
"I sure hope so, Anakin. I hope we even get to train together sometimes." I replied giving him an equally large grin.
We then turned back to the front only to see Padmé look over to us with a smile on her face. I gave her one back and watched the parade start again.
I really hoped this would be the end of any type of war, but I was so wrong.
