                               No matter how hard this gets...

Time set: many days after Attack Of The Clones

(Y/N) POV.

I sat in my new room on Coruscant right by the balcony as I watched all the ships fly by. The sky was painted a goregous red, orange and yellow colour as the sun left the horizon. It was a mesmerizing sight for the eye.

I have been in the new apartment from Padmé for 5 days now and everything seems much easier for the both of us. My nightmares suddenly stopped, it was like nothing even happened. Maybe it was because of Anakin being with me.

Padmé's home was right beside ours and it was really similar, only the interior was different. She also told our Master's that she got us two separate places with a few floors between them. It was a lie, of course, but Padmé was too involved in our situation to say no.

My life seemed easier but ever since the clone wars started, 5 days ago, I know everything will be tumbling down in any second now. Once I started thinking I couldn't stop. Everything was worrying me. What I did on Geonosis, Jaster, our secret, the council and even more. My nightmares have stopped suddenly which made me curious, but I didn't want to let myself panic about that.

"Can I join you?" Anakin's voice appeared in the doorway.

I turned around with a smile and nodded my head. "Of course."

Anakin smiled softly and pulled another chair beside mine. He also started to gaze at the scenery which gave me the opportunity to examine him a bit.

Even in the last few days he changed so much. The ponytail he once had was gone and his hair seemed longer now that it wasn't there. He decided to grow it out.

"You don't need to stare at me, you know?" Anakin said as he gave me a side glance.

"How can I not?" I replied with a small laugh.

"Exactly." He smirked making me roll my eyes at him.

Sometimes he could get really annoying but that's what I liked in him. He wasn't boring and always had an idea for everything even if it was reckless or not. I would follow him anywhere.

"What were you thinking about?" Anakin asked fully turning to me. "I sensed you getring tense so I decided to join you here."

"I was just thinking." I replied but he motioned me to continue. "My nightmares stopped suddenly and I don't know if I'm over-reacting..."

"That must not be all. If you want to talk about what's bothering you I will always be here. You know that, right?" He told me grabbing my hand in his. "I'll always be here for you."

"I don't know if you knew already but I have a brother." I told him.

Anakin looked at me confused which let me know that I never mentioned him to anyone. How could've I? I thought he was dead.

"He left when I was still little with the sith and I thought he was dead. But turns out he wasn't. I talked with him a few times and I discovered a terrible truth..." I said while a began trembling. "Anakin, my father was a sith."

That got him even more confused. "What?"

"My brother didn't go willingly, my father forced him to go. He planned to do that with me aswell if it wasn't for Jaster killing him as the separatists attacked. And then what I did on Geonosis...I didn't mean for that to happen, I was just overwhelmed. That was when he told me." I told him the story.

"What happened then wasn't your fault! I can't even imagine what it was like hearing that after living for years thinking your father was innocent." Anakin tried to comfort me.

"I don't know what's going to happen, Anakin. I feel like something terrible is going to happen soon, if not now then in a few years."

"I'm sure everything will be fine, my love. I'll be right by your side anywhere we go."

I smiled at him as he hugged me close to him. I couldn't deny that he gave the best hugs anyone could imagine, and at the right times too. I was glad to have Anakin by my side, I loved him with all my heart and I would give my life for him if I needed to.

He let out a sigh as he slightly pulled away. "How about we go to bed now? It would be the best for you."

"Yeah, I think so." I replied.

We pulled the chairs back to their original places and after we pulled the curtains infront of the windows I threw myself under the covers. After all the years I spent alone in that tiny room it was nice to have someone I cared about with me. And share a whole apartment with them? It was like a dream.

Anakin slowly layed down beside me, he was still cautious doing so. He didn't want me to feel awkward, even though I've told him a million times that he doesn't need to be so prim-and-proper. He only laughed at me, but look at what he's been doing for the past days.

"Goodnight, (N/N)." Anakin grinned as he gave a small kiss on my forehead.

"Goodnight, Anakin." I smiled back.

And just like that he turned the light off, and my eyes fluttered shut. I felt his hand draping around my waist but I was already tumbling into my dark dreams which made their return tonight.

I opened my eyes only to find myself on a ship, it seemed like a republic cruiser but I wasn't too sure. Alarms were blaring and a bunch of clones were running around shooting at droids. Within a second the whole ship started tumbling down.

"(Y/N), get out of the way!" Jaster's voice screamed.

I looked at him in shock as I watched him kill a few droids. That's when I felt the ship fall down from the sky making me hold onto the nearest thing. He seemed older by a few years but not so much.

"What are you doing?" I asked him while yelling.

It was like I didn't have control of my actions, I was just seeing this from my own eyes. A red lightsaber caught my eye as another sith appeared making Jaster turn around and start fighting with him. They continued to do so until the sith had Jaster pinned to the ground with a lightsaber to his throat.

"We were partners once, Jaster, and you throw it all away just to save your sister's life?" The man asked with a chuckle.

Jaster groaned and got ahold of his own weapon. "Yes."

He knocked him off of his body and with the help of the force kicked him out from the hangars side. Just then the whole ship flipped down making me hold onto the pole as I turned upside down. With a scream I let go after I couldn't hold on any longer and started falling once again.

I hit the ground with a thud and found myself in Palpatines office. It was dark outside which meant it was night already, it made the scenery quite omnious, not in a good way. I looked down to my robes seeing they were different than what I usually wear, they were darker browns.

"Ah, young Kothari, what brings you here?" Palpatine smiled as he turned around from beside the window.

"I know." I said with a menacing tone to my voice.

"I knew you'd figure it out, took you long enough." He replied calmly as he faced me. "What are you going to do now?"

A cold shiver went down my spine as my eyes caught sight of a metal weapon under his cloak. This was just another nightmare. I can't believe anything I see here. It's just to make me feel fear.

"I- I don't know. Where is he?" I asked with a small tremble in my voice.

"Anakin? That's my question exactly, I thought he would be the one to show up but it was you." He continued as he walked closer to me. "I know how you can save him."

I became confused. "What?"

"You have a fear of loosing him, after a nightmare you had, a very vivid one. Correct?" Palpatine continued.

"How do you know that?" I asked furrowing my brows, but then got curious. "But how can I do so?"

"Let me show you."

"(Y/N)!" Someone yelled as I sat up in a panic.

I looked around the room in a hurry only to find myself in the apartment from Padmé. The sun was already up the room was lit up by it. Anakin sat beside me concerned as he had a hand on my shoulder.

"You had another nightmare. Are you okay?" Anakin asked as he stroked the hair out of my face behind my ear.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I mumbled trying to even out my breathing.

"Are you sure?" He questioned, not being fooled by my reply.

"I'm sure, Anakin. It was only a nightmare, nothing serious." I told him as I stood up with him following. "I just need some water and then I'll be okay."

Just then Anakin quickly dissapeared and came back with a glass full of water. A laugh escaped my lips and I took a sip. I never had this dream yet, this one was new, and I don't know what it meant.

Was it even a dream?

If they get worse then I'll have to go talk to Master Yoda about them. But what bothered me was the part about Palpatine. What did he mean about me figuring it out? That he expected Anakin not me? And to save Anakin? What was going on.

It was all too confusing for me. I felt the bed shift down beside me as Anakin sat down again beside me. He pulled me closer to him with one hand so I layed my head on his shoulder. I wonder if he still gets his nightmares or did they stop for him aswell for a few nights. But I was too worried about my own to even ask him about it.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Anakin asked as he layed his head ontop of mine.

"No, if that's okay..." I whispered.

"Of course it is. I don't want to preassure you to say anything, only if you want to." He replied.

I smiled to myself. It was good that he was like this and didn't want to force anything out of me. He must have understood my situation since he had nightmares of his own.

That's when I realised that he had his dreams about Shmi, it actually came true. What if the dreams I'm having are going to come true? I don't know what to expect from the fututre but I have a feeling that it's not good.

After a few minutes of us sitting in the silence I decided to get dressed. I had the urge to go to the temple and train a little to take my mind off of everything. Anakin said that he will come with me since it would be good for both of us and he just simply got in a clingy mood.

Once we were finished getting ready he told Obi-Wan that we will be going to the temple to train a bit. He agreed of course, and said that he will meet us there. After we got into the speeder he once 'stole', Anakin flew us straight to the Jedi Temple. It wasn't far away, you could see it from the apartment we were staying in.

Obi-Wan greeted us at the stairs as soon as he caught sight of us walking up. "Good morning, padawan's!"

"Morning, Master." Anakin yawned making his master shake his head.

"I just knew it wasn't your idea to come train, Anakin! You look like as if you are still sleeping." Obi-Wan said to his padawan. "Come, follow me. I got you two a spare training room for the day."

Anakin rolled his eyes mocking him behind his back which almost made me laugh. Obi-Wan turned around to glare at him but continued to lead us to a room with glass walls. He opened the door and walked in with us following.

"I will be staying here to see what you two are doing before you wreck the place. I might make corrections too, and some younglings might come watch too." Master Kenobi told us.

"Of course, that's fine." I smiled.

"Alright, well go on then!" He gave one back and sat down by the door.

Anakin and i got our lightsabers out and stared at each other like hawks. Who would be daring enough to make the first move? I smirked at him as I watched him closely, him doing the same.

"Are we going to keep going in circles as if we were dancing or what?" I laughed at him.

"You tell me, (Y/N)." Anakin smiled.

Just then he charged at me which caught me off guard for a second. I quickly clashed my lightsaber with his and our duel started officially. Obi-Wan watched us closely and yelled a few corrections at Anakin who rolled his eyes.

"Listen to your master, Ani." I grinned using his nickname.

"(Y/N)..." Anakin narrowed his eyes at me as our lightsabers met again.

I could see some younglings come to the glass walls to see our duel. I honestly felt even better seeing them watch us with such admiration. My eyes caught sight of a small boy with red hair studying us with a gaping mouth making me smile at him.

Just then Anakin knocked the lightsaber out of my hand into his own. I stared at him baffled as he smirked in victory.

"Oh, I see how it is." I told him in mocked annoyance.

"See what?" He asked back innocently.

I tilted my head and made a spare lightsaber fly into my hands from the other side of the training room. I ignited it and it turned out to be a double bladed one. Anakin looked at me in fear.

"Come on, Ani, don't be such a wuss!" I grinned at him.

"I don't like those type of lightsabers!" He shook his head staring at me not even realising I called him by his dreaded nickname again.

"I don't care!" I laughed and let out a battle cry which then turned into laughter as Anakin looked like he was about to faint.

Obi-Wan shook his head probably thinking about how childish we were but I could see a smile form on his face. Anakin and I continued to duel with the younglings watching us and it was fun. We were both laughing, teasing and mocking each other.

If only we could've just stayed in this moment forever.

•I am back from the dead hello!!! I am super sorry for not updating in so long I just had a bunch of stuff going on irl so I focused on that more. But yesterday was the ladt day of school for me so I will be able to update more in the next 2 and a half months.
