Kentrell dribbled the nicely aired basketball between his legs, trying to figure out what his next move would be in order to get around Dayvon and make the shot.

"Wassup shordy? You scared?" Von smirked, playing as offense with his dreads pulled back in a ponytail.

"Scared of what, bitch ass boy," Kentrell went on the side of him, and as soon as Von followed, he took a step back, getting an opening to make his shot-so he did.

"Damn." He sucked his teeth, catching Kentrell's rebound once it bounced back on the ground, chest passing it towards him.

"What's that gon' be, R?" Kentrell grinned, laughing at the irritation on Dayvon's face since they were now tied.

The two of them were currently playing a game of 'Horse', where they had to duplicate each other's shot. Whoever was the first to complete the word Horse, lost. For now, both of them had 'H' and 'O'.

It was hot as fish grease today, reaching the high of 105 degrees. That was the perfect temperature for a game of basketball since they'd grown bored in the house; having no tasks to complete, and Dream was occupied with her best friend.

Basketball was always intense between the two of them-even games as simple as horse-because they were both competitive players, and both were equally good at the sport. It was always hard to tell who would win.

They'd betted $50,000 on this game, which was sort of unnecessary due to them both spending each other's money anyway. However, they never thought that far ahead, so they bet money every time.

"Nigga you cheating. Back up 'cause if I miss my shot I'm not playing no mo'." Kentrell held the ball near his hip, his legs spread in a defense position.

"You ain't gon' make it no way." He shrugged in response, and Kentrell rolled his eyes, bouncing the ball on the ground.

"You said that last play and I still made it." Kentrell moved to the side, and Von mimicked his actions, his arms spread apart to block him from making a shot.

"Aight. Make it this time then." He kissed the side of his face, and Kentrell chuckled, still dribbling the ball.

"You got it?" Dayvon pressed his lower half against his backside, and Kentrell bit his lip, a sly smirk resting as his expression.

"Nah. I think I need some help or somethin'." He stood upright, turning around to face him, seeing he wore an identical smirk.

"I know it baby. Gimme some." Von grabbed his neck, and Kentrell pressed his lips against his a few times in a row, letting him make the last one deeper. He sucked Von's plump bottom lip in his mouth, slightly grazing his teeth across the surface, causing Von to let out a low groan, caught off guard.

"I win, and I quit. I'm tryna fuck sum'." Kentrell pulled Von's hand from his neck, dropping the ball at the same time.

"You gay as hell. I'm only into bitches. Sorry." He fake-and dramatically-shrugged, turning to walk towards the house, and Kentrell laughed.

"Oh foreal? I'm finna go tell Dream you called her a bitch." Kentrell ran past him, still laughing after hearing Von laugh as well.

Kentrell made it in the house first, and almost fell because Dayvon was hot on his heels, both of them racing to wherever Dream was-which neither of them knew.

"She outside. I'm snitching." Kentrell headed that way after hearing her voice, and Von laughed, keeping him back by his arm, but Kentrell was able to break out of his grip.

"Say mama, Von said y-." Kentrell started, being cut off by Von's hand placing over his mouth, halting Dream and Jayda's conversation.

"Don't come out here being loud. What are y'all doing?" She frowned at them both.

"Get off me faggot. Grandson called you a bitch, Dream." Kentrell spoke out of breath, almost unable to get it out from the way he was laughing.

"He lying like fuck. Look at him-he just look like a liar. I would never say no shit like that." He leaned his head down to kiss Dream's cheek while she rolled her eyes.

"Get out my face. Both of y'all. Go take a shower." She waved them off, and Jayda laughed at the dramatic shocked expressions on their faces.

"Girl they ass is annoying. Almost woke my stinky man up." Dream chuckled after they went back in the house, looking down at Jayda's son, Loyal, who laid on her chest.

Jayda had given birth a month ago to her baby boy, and Dream had probably saw them everyday since then. She was so in love with her nephew, and seeing him so often made her even more excited for when her own babies would make their arrival.

She'd also been getting tips from Jayda about how motherhood had been so far, trying to prepare herself a little more. She honestly wished her mother was still alive for this; because as perfect of a mother that she had been, Dream just knew she'd have some great tips.

Even with her being gone though, Brianna always found a way to talk to Dream. Whether that was through other people, her dreams, and even sometimes TV commercials and ads. So, whenever she did need help, Dream knew that her mom would be there for her.

"He be so quiet with you. I don't know why 'cause he get to hollering anytime somebody else hold him, including his own daddy." Jayda told her, unlocking her business phone.

"My boobs probably remind him of yours. That's the only way he let me hold him." She chuckled, softly patting Loyal's back-pointing out how his hand was gripping her right boob.

Dream's hand went behind his head, carefully switching his position to sit on her stomach, seeing that he remained asleep. His tiny face was just so perfect to her, she couldn't believe it. She loved being an aunt.

While her and Jayda's sister-Destiny-were the aunties of Loyal, Ariana had the promotion of godmother. Nevertheless, her and Jayda still weren't on speaking terms. Ariana was so stubborn, but Jayda was being patient.

Jayda wasn't going to force her to become friends with her again, but even with that, she would be there for Ariana through whatever. Anytime she needed her, Jayda would always be there. She just hoped Ari would forgive her sometime soon. She really missed her.

Even though they weren't speaking, Ariana still played her role well. She'd bought Loyal a ton of stuff, ranging from diapers, wipes, bibs, clothes, shoes, and even a bracelet with his name on it. She even babysat for Jayda whenever she needed some extra help.

Jayda was so thankful for her friends, and didn't know what she'd do without them. It made her so happy to know that regardless of the terms they were on, Ariana would still come through for her every time-even though she had reasons not to.

"I love you more babymama. Call me." Jayda kissed Dream's cheek an hour later, giving her one more hug.

"I will. Drive safe." Dream watched from her porch as Jayda got in her white Tesla, backing out of the driveway a few moments later.

Seeing the car make its way towards the main road to exit the neighborhood, Dream walked back inside of her house, locking the door behind her after she closed it.

Midnight was on her heels as she slowly began the journey upstairs-which was a long process for her since she had two entire humans inside of her now. Sometimes she even had to sit down and take a break. She couldn't understand what made the contractors put stairs in the house in the first place.

By the time she made it all the way up, her breathing had grown heavier, and the bottom of her stomach was now cramping. That's all she'd been doing the last few days-cramping. It made her realize that her babies would be here sooner than expected.

"Bought my bitch a Prada bag, she got that good ass and head." Kentrell rapped along with his song that was playing from his Beats speaker, slapping Dream's ass when she walked into his embrace.

"He got you on live fat mama." Dayvon said from the bed, and she turned her head to see that Kentrell's phone was set up on the dresser, streaming live on Instagram.

"I look like somebody granny." She frowned in the camera at her hair that was thrown up into a messy bun, and the mumu nightgown that she wore.

"Let them see my babies." Kentrell turned her body around, and she let him pull her nightgown up, showing off her huge belly.

As soon as his hand rubbed against her skin, her babies began to move as if they knew that it was him who had touched her. Every time him or Dayvon rubbed her stomach, the babies acted a fool. She didn't understand how them being so aware was even possible.

"Shit." She softly groaned, leaning over to grab her knees because she'd just lost her breath-yes, that fast.

"She tired of being pregnant. I love this shit though." Kentrell smirked, pretending to give her backshots, making her shake her head at him.

"Turn that shit off goofy." Von rose from the bed, walking in the frame of the camera to help Dream lay down.

"I'ma fuck wit' y'all. I gotta go be a babydaddy real fast." He picked his phone up from the dresser, and Dream chuckled, slowly waddling over to the bed.

Von guided her to sit down, and she held on to his arms, blowing out a slow breath. She'd never carried so much weight in her life. The struggle was way more than real!

"I have to pee now papa." She mumbled, earning a laugh from Von as he stood her back up. She hadn't even been sitting for more than ten seconds and she was already up again.

Dream held the bottom of her mumu up, still holding Von's hand as they walked to the bathroom together. That walk tired her out too, but at least she made it to the toilet this time.

"Say hey pretty girl." Kentrell held his vlogging Canon camera in front of her face, and she stared at the lens while peeing, now exhausted.

"Hey. I'm peeing." She waved at the camera with tissue in her hand, and a smile spread across Kentrell's lips.

"You excited for tomorrow?" He asked, turned the knob on the lens to make it focus, clearing out the grainy blurriness.

Tomorrow, June 6th, would be Dream's 23rd birthday. She didn't want to do anything except lay in bed all day, but she knew that Kentrell, Von, Jayda, and Ariana weren't going for that. And surprisingly, she didn't have a clue on what they had planned.

She just hoped it wasn't anything too extravagant. Her pregnancy had her sensory system all over the place, and too much commotion was now irritating to her. She didn't want to be a Debby Downer on her own birthday.

"Yes. Did you buy me another car?" She returned a question, and all he did was grin, making her laugh.

"This nigga can't keep secrets for shit, man." Von ran his hand down his face in fake frustration, earning a laugh from Kentrell as well, simultaneously shrugging.

"I ain't even say nothin'. We ain't buy no car for you girl. You got three already. Youn' need no more." He told Dream, listening to her hum in response as if she didn't believe him.

"Yeah, sure. I believe you." She chuckled, turning on her bidet to rinse her lower half off, and then patted herself dry with some tissue.

"Look how big yo' ass is now. Damn." Von grabbed a handful of it when she stood up, watching her pull her panties up at the same time.

"Look how big every fucking thing is." She shook her head, earning a laugh from the both as she waddled towards the sink.

She pushed the knob down on her soap dispenser, and turned the cold water on to wash her hands. Mid-wash she caught another cramp, and she bit her lip in pain, leaning over the counter.

"Shordy 'nem fuckin' wit' you, ain't it ma?" Von stood on the side of her, and she nodded her head.

"This dude so Chicago." Kentrell put his camera on Von, who begin to throw up gang signs while licking over his plump lips.

"You so BR." He kissed his cheek, before standing on the side of Dream again, waiting for her cramp to be over so that he could help.

"Why you always kissing somebody? Damn. Nigga give a hunnid' cheek kisses a day." Kentrell wiped his face off in fake disgust, and Von sucked his teeth, waving him off.

Dream kept her legs apart as she squatted, holding on to the counter for support as silent tears slid down her face. Nobody told her about the pain that came with the third trimester of pregnancy. She was sick of it.

"Wassam mama? You okay? You need some water or something?" Kentrell squatted on the side of her, hearing her heavy, but slow breaths.

"Please get that camera out of my face Hassen." She called him by his middle name, and he chuckled, lowering it to where the view was on her belly.

"Oh my god," Her voice cracked as she reached on the side of her body to hold her own hip, exhausted from being in this squatting position for so long.

Suddenly, the sound of dripping water could be heard, followed by a gasp of surprise from Dream. More water dripped from between her legs, making her cry out as the pain became worse. She could literally feel the spreading of her vaginal opening, preparing itself for birth.

"Shit. Her water broke." Kentrell quickly stood up in realization, and Von's eyes went wide. Even though the three of them had literally been preparing for this, it seemed like none of them could move.

"Go put the baby bag in the car and warm up the truck. I'll get ha' downstairs." Von snapped out of his daze first, and Kentrell went to do as told after helping him get Dream to her feet.

She couldn't even form words as they began to walk out the bathroom, and all she could do was blow out slow breaths, trying to keep the flow of her oxygen under control.

It was crazy how tired she got from such small things, but it now felt like all of her breathing airways had closed as she came to the realization that she was actually going in labor-the day before her birthday, too!

"I can't breathe." She lightly panted, her normally fair colored skin now a blush red color, and Von knew that she was panicking.

"You gotta calm down ma. You can breathe, come on, look at me." He softly grabbed ahold of her head, guiding her to do the breathing exercises that her midwife recommended.

"Thank you papa." She mumbled after catching her breath, and he kissed her face, helping her finish the walk downstairs.

Soon enough they made it to the car, and Dayvon got in the front seat to drive, while Kentrell sat in the back with Dream's head laying across his lap.

He had a cold towel in his hand that he kept on her forehead so that she wouldn't get too hot, and occasionally rubbed her belly, trying to soothe her heavy labor cramps.

"You so damn annoying." She chuckled, seeing his camera was recording her, but wasn't in her face because he didn't want to frustrate her.

"You finna have my baby." He kissed her lips, and she chuckled again, tiredly turning her head to the side.

"I'm never doing this shit again." She groaned under her breath, spreading her legs apart in the seat, feeling her babies pushing down on her bladder which gave her the sensation as if she peeing.

"Shidddd." Kentrell whistled, and she amusingly rolled her eyes, holding underneath her belly.

By the time they finally arrived at the hospital, Dream was utterly exhausted and worn out just from her body preparing itself for the babies. She was hot and cold at the same time, dizzy, her legs were sore, and her cramps were on ten.

This was crazy. If this was how labor went every time, she wanted no parts of it. Somebody needed to get an epidural in her back as soon as possible because there was no way she was pushing out two babies without being medicated.

On top of the physical excruciating pain her body was going through, she'd also became mildly irritated with how long it took the nurses to get her in a room when she was literally in labor-plus, they'd already reserved a room last month just to speed this process up when the time came.

Her frustrations only became worse when she remembered that she wasn't allowed to eat any real food during labor. She'd even tried to pout at Kentrell and Von to get it for her, but they weren't going for it.

"They said you can get some jello, applesauce, or toast. Which one you wan'?" Kentrell stared down at her, and she ignored him, trying to build up some tears.

"Bae why you lookin' like you ain't know you couldn't eat?" Von laughed, sitting in a chair on the side of her bed.

"I didn't know I was going into labor today! I would've doordashed Wendy's way earlier." She deeply furrowed her eyebrows at him, frowning.

"Too bad, bucko. Say hey." Kentrell pointed his camera at her; surprised that his memory card wasn't full yet. He'd been vlogging for like two hours now.

"Get that shit out my face before I break it, Kentrell." She lifted her foot up to pretend like she'd kick it, making him laugh.

"Y'all so annoying. I'm so hot. I'm so sleepy. I'm soooo hungry." She whined, finding anything that she could complain to them about.

"When that damn aesthetic shit gon' kick it. You making my brain hurt already." Kentrell glanced down at his phone, and Dayvon face palmed himself at his genuine ignorance. He didn't even know why he was still surprised at this point.

About an hour passed by-even though it seemed longer to Dream-and both Jayda and Ariana showed up within minutes of each other, ready to be at their best friend's side while she gave birth.

Ariana had been arguing with Kentrell and Von for the last five minutes or so, just because she'd snuck Dream some Wendy's. She didn't regret it, and neither did Dream.

"Oh well, bitch. Suck it up buttercup." She held her middle finger up at Kentrell's camera, her attention on her iPhone.

"You gone suck a gun up you nasty bi-,"

"Kentrell!" Dream frowned at him, and he rolled his eyes, snatching the Wendy's bag from her, which only made her frown deepen.

"They said no food, so you ain't getting no food. Push my babies out first." Kentrell told her, and Von laughed since they all knew how serious he was.

His words soon became actions, because just a few moments later, she let out a small cry, elevating her hips from the mattress.

"Oh shit," Von's laughs quickly ceased, seeing the expression on her face. Finally, it was happening. Dream could feel her body beginning to push on its own, and her cries grew even louder.

"Ouweeee, best friendddd." Jayda clapped in excitement after pushing the nurses button, standing on the side of Dream.

Kentrell and Von stood near the bottom of the bed at the instruction of her Midwife, and Ariana was on the other side of her, all of them ready to help as best as they could during her birthing process.

Her body felt as hot as the sun, and sweat pellets were on her forehead, despite having a cold towel resting there. The spreading of her cervix was now at the ten centimeter mark for dilation, which meant it was wide enough for a baby to pass through.

Her Midwife was trying to give her directions, but Dream could barely hear her over the way she was crying. Even with the epidural, this pain was unlike any she'd ever felt before. She knew that it would all be worth it when her babies finally arrived though.

"Dream, I need you to focus on me sweetheart. You have to listen to me so that they can get here safely." Marie, her midwife, spoke calmly to her in order to keep her calm as well.

"One of them are coming. You don't have to force yourself to push, okay? Your body is going to do all the work on its own. I just want you to calm down. Can you take a deep breath for me?" Marie guided her through a breathing exercise, which Dream followed along with.

As she calmed herself down, the tears still streamed heavily down her face at the pain, but just like Marie said, her body began the process of pushing one of her babies out.

It was crazy how she could literally feel the baby traveling through her body to make its grand entrance to the world, leaving the womb in which it was once carried in.

This was so mentally emotional for Dream. She could not believe that she had carried two babies full term, and they would now be leaving her body. It was a bittersweet realization.

"Dayvon, I'm going to need you to put your hand right here. Do you feel the head?" Marie asked him after guiding one of his hands into Dream's opening, and it felt like he'd pass out after indeed feeling a head. He swallowed what he was sure was throw up, simultaneously nodding.

Dream's vaginal opened contracted, blood beginning to flow out of her while her lower set of lips burned from the maximized stretching. Within a few moments, Dayvon was able to help the baby's head appear.

"Stop pushing mama. Take a break. It's okay." Marie assured her, and Dream blew out a breath of relief at both the sounds of her baby crying, and the release of pressure in her lower half.

Marie and Dayvon pulled the baby's shoulders out, and as soon as it's arms stretched out, tears brimmed in Von's eyes. Those tears ended up falling when he was able to hold the baby in his hands, obsessed that he had actually helped birth one of his children.

"Punk ass." Ariana muttered under her breath, earning a laugh from Dream and Jayda.

"Here, Dayvon." Marie held a pair of scissors out to him, and he took them from her, cutting the umbilical cord at her go-ahead.

"I want my baby now, please." Dream spoke tiredly from the bed, and Von walked over to her, carefully placing his son down on her bare chest, which soothed his loud cries.

"Oh my god," She sniffed, holding the very small of his back while he gripped at her skin as if he knew who she was.

"Kentrell," Marie gestured him to come closer, and he watched with interested eyes as he followed the same process Von previously had.

Dream's body kind of stiffened on its own at the pressure coming from her second baby a few moments later, and she breathed out through her mouth, hoping this would end soon. Birth was so tiring, she felt like falling asleep at this exact moment.

"That's a lot of blood." Kentrell mumbled, his eyebrows furrowed with mild concern, though he knew it was to be expected with the delivery of a baby.

"Isn't it? She isn't even done yet. When both babies are out, she'll push out her placenta. It'll be more blood, but it's not harmful. Women are amazing." Marie chuckled, spreading Dream's lower set of lips even more as the second baby began to pass through.

"I ain't gon' lie, this shit is wild as fuck dude." Kentrell had to literally keep himself from gagging at all of the blood, bodily tissues, and other fluids that heavily leaked out of her.

"Punk." Ari muttered again, holding Dream's right hand, and she smiled once Dream laughed again.

Within a few moments, her laughs halted at the sound of her baby girl screaming, her piercing cries way louder than her brother's.

"Welcome to the world, shawty." Kentrell chuckled, holding her in both of his hands after a single push from Dream.

He cut her umbilical cord, watching as she was wiped down by another nurse, cleaning as much as Dream's insides off of her as possible.

Born at six pounds and one ounce, was Avayah Nicole Bennett-Gaulden-taking on the middle name of Ariana, and Dream's mother. Her brother, born at six pounds and fifteen ounces, Kemani Syxx Bennett-Gaulden-with reference to Jayda's middle name.

Avayah's first name was Alice's middle name, while Kemani had the same middle name-Syxx-as Von's grandfather. The names that the parents had chosen were combined of the people that the three of them were closest to. Inclusive to all, and Dream loved it.

I stopped my college applications to write this chapter lmao.
