Dream's legs were pulled up and folded into her seat, her notebook resting across her thighs while her eyes remained on the projector that was showing the lecture notes.

She was so sleepy, as usual, and didn't know why she even came to school today. Low-key, she was thinking about switching to completely online because school just didn't adhere to her sleeping schedule.

Yesterday was a busy day for her, despite her crazy love life. She went to go get her hair pressed out and trimmed, spent hours getting most of her things packed up, and even was able to officially get the keys to her new house.

She was so excited that she hadn't even had the time to stress over what was happening between her and Von, and surprisingly Kentrell, too. She didn't have the slightest clue on why he was ignoring her. All of this was weird to her. She should've just stayed to herself.

Granted, this was her fault, but, still. Regardless of who's fault it was, it could've all been avoided had she never got involved with either of them. She couldn't say that she regretted it, though.

They were fun. Took her on her first dates, bought her roses, gave her money, and hell-even put her in the position to buy her first house, in cash. So, no, she didn't regret anything, actually.

Soon enough, class was over, and Dream took her time to pack her things up. Tossing her book-bag on her shoulder, she walked down the steps that led out of the classroom, and let the door shut softly behind her.

There wasn't much for her to get done today. She paid a moving company to come and pick the boxes up from her house, and move them to her new one, and that was about it.

Even though it wasn't a lot, she still dreaded it since all she wanted to do was get in her bed and take a nap. Unfortunately, she knew for sure that wouldn't be happening.

When she finally arrived home, of course, the first thing she did was feed Midnight. She also put a reminder in her phone to set a veterinarian check-up for him before they moved into the new house.

That's a lesson she learned from her mom, back when they'd first adopted Midnight. Some of the fields of the community contained other dog feces that had parvovirus-a deadly disease for dogs.

Luckily, Brianna got him immunized before bringing him home. If she wouldn't have, he would've died within a week or two of being there. So, to avoid a mishap like that, Dream planned to go make sure he's caught up with all of his immunizations.

Anywho, the next thing she did was take a shower. The movers would be here to pick up the last few boxes in half an hour, and tonight, she'd be able to sleep at the new house, for the first time!

The excitement was literally radiating thoroughly through her energy. Even though she was low-key afraid of leaving where she'd been her whole life, she was overjoyed for new opportunities and opened doors.

This what what her mother had always wanted from her-to branch out and find herself, outside of this community. To live a regular life, love normally, and just be free in general. That's all Dream wanted, was to make her mom happy.

After her shower, Dream rubbed her body down in organic cocoa shea butter, and put on a matching purple underwear set when she'd finished.

As she stared at her body in the mirror, for the first time in a while, she loved what she saw. The set from SavageXFenty really looked good on her, and thinking about how both Kentrell and Von basically praised her body, she was beginning to fall in love with her shape.

The Amish had always shamed her-and her mother-for their natural shapes; wide hips, a semi-slim waist, thick legs, and bigger-than-average sized breasts. To the community, they weren't skinny enough, and were overly flaunting.

Dream had never liked her body because of that, but lately, she was growing out of that. She was losing sight of their judgement, and for that, she was so proud of herself.

With that, she decided to take a picture, and post on her Instagram. This would be one of the first posts of hers that she'd made on her own-without any push from her friends-or, 'lovers'.

Also, she planned to go with a heavily flirtatious caption. Whether the picture and caption got the attention of Dayvon, or Kentrell, she didn't care. That's what she wanted. And just like she knew, that's what she got. Times two.

Within a few minutes, Dream's post climbed to being close to 40,000 likes-which was the most she'd ever received, and so quickly too. She didn't know whether it was from Kentrell commenting, or her showing her body. Either way, she loved the interaction.

She didn't think it was from his comment though, because as soon as she saw it, she deleted it from her post and blocked the page. She was already in deep waters as it was with Von; she didn't need the two finding out about each other. Yet, little did she know..

Snapping her out of her thoughts, she looked down at her phone once it buzzed with two iMessages, and she just knew it could only be from one of two people.

She left him on read, and stood up from her floors, dusting herself off. Next, she pulled on a pair of gray biker shorts with a matching top-one of the only outfits she had left that was unpacked.

Then, she could hear shouting in her front yard, making her eyes go wide. Midnight began loudly barking next, standing at the front door while his tail whipped side to side.

Quickly turning her locks, Dream rushed outside, and saw her father yelling at four moving guys who also had a big truck parked backwards in her driveway.

"Papa, what are you doing?! Stop it." She grabbed his hands that he was using to wildly gesture with towards the men-who just stood there, confused. They'd been trying to tell him why they were there, but he wasn't hearing any of that.

"What are these strange men doing here? Who are they?" He spoke in Pennsylvania Dutch to her, almost hysterical.

"They're with a moving company," She said back to him in the language, before turning to face the head of the four guys.

"I'm so sorry. He's u-um, sick. You can go get the rest of the stuff, please," She had her eyebrows furrowed, genuinely sorrowful for how her dad had yelled at them.

They ended up going inside to do their job, and Dream was able to walk her dad back to his farmhouse, though he was still very frantic.

"You've had those men here-those, those-the guys with all the tattoos and crazy hair! Embarrassing me in front of the congregation! Do you know how it feels to be tore down in front of everyone, Dream?!" His German accent was strong, and his normally pale face was now a beet red.

Gabriel continued to rant to her about what the talk of the town had been, involving her, while she just sat there and listened. She was trying her hardest not to cry because she knew she wouldn't have to deal with this for much longer.

Midnight stood at her side in a way to protect her, his head rubbing gently at her leg since somehow, he was able to detect that she was emotional.

"I mean, for fucks sake, Dream! Have some respect." He ended his rant in English, and with a curse word. That's how she knew he was actually upset. He never cursed.

"Papa I'm s-,"

"No! Sorry won't cut it this time, Dream! Damnit, you're just like your fucking mother." His hand hit hard on his countertop, and Dream let the tears that were burning in her eyes, fall.

"My mother was the best thing that ever happened to you, and you fucked that up! So worried about making sure that weak ass church keeps their dick in your ass so that you won't be disowned by people who couldn't even tell you your favorite color!"

"I don't care about making you happy anymore. Neither do I care about this town, the church, the pastor-none of you. Because y'all never, ever, gave a fuck about me. You sent me to that house as soon as my mama died. You never fucking cared about me-your own daughter, so why should I try so hard to keep this broken ass bond together?"

"I've tried so hard, for years, to be this perfect daughter for you. I let you force me into this religion for so long, all because I just wanted my dad back. I wanted to keep the only family I had left close-but you ruin every fucking thing! I don't care anymore, fuck it."

"I hate you, and every other bitch in this town. I hope all y'all die and I'ma be the first motherfucker at y'all grave to piss on it." Most of her rant she spent screaming at him, but she said her last sentence so calmly. It flowed from her mouth effortlessly, as if she genuinely wished death on them all.

Harshly wiping away the tears that occupied her face, she beckoned Midnight to follow her out of the house; and she definitely slammed the door hard as hell behind her, too.

Dream briefly glanced down at her phone to check her notifications that had been buzzing for the last few minutes, and then she cleared the tab, shaking her head.

For a second, she thought Kentrell was here, like, at her father's house with her. Then, she realized he really did go to the new house, but she wasn't even there yet. How comedic.

She didn't text either of them back, and watched Kentrell on 'Find My iPhone', seeing that he was on his way towards this house. She didn't care about that either though, since she was literally about to leave.

"That's everything?" She asking one of the moving guys after getting herself together, and he nodded in response. They then went over to check once more that they got everything, before heading towards Dream's new address.

Her and Midnight lingered behind for a few minutes longer, just mentally saying goodbye to the house both of them basically raised one another in.

When Dream first came to this house, she was eight years old. Her and her mother would sneak away every Saturday night and stay over the next morning to watch Disney movies and eat snacks-literally until their bellies were full.

Despite being hated and talked down on, Brianna made sure to show her daughter as much love as she could. To show her what it was like to be a normal kid. Before Brianna's passing, one of her most heaviest regrets was that she didn't move Dream out of the community sooner.

Brianna's own mother didn't associate with her though, in fact, none of her family did after she begin dating Gabriel. Love by such a narcissistic and controlling man blindsided her from the ones she actually needed, the ones that actually loved her.

So, Brianna had no where to take her daughter if they would have left the Amish. She had no money, no job, and no resources whatsoever. With those struggles in mind, she tried to make the best of what she had for her daughter, Dream.

Even though Dream cursed at her father a few moments earlier for 'sending' her to the back house when Brianna died, that was actually a choice that Dream made on her own. She just couldn't tolerate living in the same house as him without the presence of her mother.

Everything in Dream swore that this community, Grabriel's toxic ways and his emotional abuse, killed Brianna faster than that ovarian cancer did. To Dream, her mother still had years of life ahead of her, but it was shortened due to the stress she was forced to deal with.

By the time that Dream finished her third walk-around to make sure everything was gone, she was in full blown tears; quiet sobs coming from her every-so-often.

She had to understand that growth was hard sometimes. Letting go of what you've had forever, was often necessary to put you up in a better position. Whether that was mentally, physically, or emotionally, you had to move on to be better.

To tell the truth, Dream was afraid of actually growing up, and to add fuel to fire, she was afraid of doing it without her mom. She just wanted to be the little girl that watched Princess and the Frog every night with her mommy. Those were the times she missed the most.

It killed her to know that she would never be able to wake up and see her mom again. Brianna would miss her future wedding, meeting her grandchildren, and seeing Dream graduate from college with four degrees. Most of all, Brianna missed important milestones within her own life too.

Leaving the Amish for good was bittersweet. Even though she'd had some terrible moments here, there was some good ones too. Like, when Ms.Abigail taught her how to grow a garden and nutritionally provide for herself; taught her, and the other kids, how to pick apples and mango from the community field.

When the kids went on field trips to visit the outside world; the lesson of the trip being they shouldn't want to grow up as savages like worldly people. Dream was only inspired, though. That trip was fun, even though they were supposed to have hated it.

Snapping from her thoughts, she looked over at Midnight who's head was out the back window of her car, his tail wagging powerfully back and forth.

She was so happy to get her baby somewhere with a bigger yard. Her backyard had a whopping acre of land, and luckily, most of the backyard was already furnished. Like, there was a 2ft-6ft deep pool, a conversation pit with a fireplace on the patio, and a large, comfortable dog house for Midnight.

Her mortgage payments and bills rounded up to around $3,100 a month, and at that amount, the house should be completely paid off in fifteen years. But, Dream's income was already strong as it was, and steadily growing. It was her goal to pay it off before the end of next year, 2023.

Another thing she wanted to do before the end of next year was open up her own business. Dream didn't just want one stream of income; from the music she produced. That wasn't enough for her, even though she'd earned over $350,000 in royalties.

She wanted to create generational wealth for the children that she would one day have, and one stream of income wouldn't do that for her. Neither would random cash she received from Kentrell and Dayvon.

"Thank you so much." Dream gave the head of the moving guys a handshake after they'd brought everything in her house; sitting certain boxes in the rooms that they belonged in.

The first thing she did once she was left to herself, was go out to the backyard to let Midnight familiarize himself with the property. It took a while, but soon enough, he had the zoomies and was sprinting all across the perfectly cut green grass.

"You bet not jump your ass in that pool! Stop it, Midnight!" She frowned, though she was more so amused as he literally came to a screeching stop right by the pool.

Then, he came running towards her at full speed, and she fell out in a fit of laughter, and literally fell over, too. She loved him, so much.

"Oh my god, you gon' get me dirty! Get off, Midnight, damn!" She laughed, able to get up to her feet after a few moments of playing with him. Luckily, he didn't get her dirty.

In the mist of them playing, her doorbell rung repeatedly, multiple time in a row, and kept ringing until she finally opened up the front door.

"Congratulationssss!!" Jayda popped a tube that contained confetti, and Dream laughed, wrapping both her and Ari up in a hug.

"I'm so proud of you baby." Ariana rubbed her back, and a wide smile etched across Dream's face.

"Thank you, thank y'all. Come in," She gestured them inside, and laughed again after seeing that both of them had bags, meaning they were staying over.

They rarely ever came over to her old house, mostly because Dream's space was just that; her space. She did frequently go over their houses though; like, at least every other weekend.

Now that she had an actual house, she just knew they'd be over every chance that they could, and she loved that. Her best friends had her whole heart, like, entirely.

The three girls spent the rest of the day unpacking all of Dream's things, which wasn't too hard since her house was already furnished with furniture, they just had to add her personal touches and set up her bedroom.

"Awe, you didn't. Oh my god, Jayda, stop." Dream pouted, watching her pull out a large blue velvet box from Jewelry Unlimited.

Inside the box was three diamond cuban chains, four diamond cuban bracelets, and a Rolex watch, also covered in diamonds. It was like a light show from how all the diamonds were glistening.

"House warming gift, obviously. 150 racks for my bestest friend ever." Jayda stuck her tongue out, then laughed as she watched Dream fan her eyes.

"I ain't know what to get you. You indecisive as fuck and I just didn't have the time to deal with that. So, money it is. I'll just treat you to a shopping date this weekend or somethin'." Ariana showed her a stack of cash that totaled out to a little over $35,000.

It wasn't a secret that Jayda and Ariana made more money than Dream, but it never felt like it. They spoiled her more than they did themselves, and as long as they had it, she would forever have the same.

Now, here they were consoling her because she had gotten emotional after the gifts. She literally loved them so much, words couldn't even describe it.

It wasn't even the gifts that did it for her. The simple fact that they'd been friends with her this long, despite her sheltered and stand-offish life, made her so happy. They were so patient and loving towards her, and were super supportive in any decision that she made.

"Y'all made me mess up my lashes and everything. I just got these done." She rolled her eyes as she dabbed underneath them with a Kleenex napkin.

"Oh, girl boo. Anyways, what's going on with you and yours? You still beefing with them?" Jayda asked, hanging up a pair of skinny jeans, then placed them on the rack in the closet.

"I don't know, to be honest. Y'all know Von found out about what I was doing, but he doesn't know who. And I don't think he knows exactly what I've been doing, either.."

"And Kentrell, well, I don't know. I still don't know why he even likes me-not on no insecure shit either. It's just like, me and him are so random, I feel like he wants something from me. I just don't know what."

"Pussy? You know you a bad bitch, and one of the only 'untouched' IG girls. Maybe it's that?" Ari suggested, a cup of ice water in her hand while Midnight's head laid across her lap.

"I thought that too, but that's not it. Think about it. He gave me one hundred thousand dollars, on the first date, after only talking for two weeks. Y'all done seen him in the blogs, he's not a 'trick'. He doesn't just-do-shit like that." Dream chuckled, trying to explain as best as she could.

"On god he don't, 'cause the only bitch I done see him give something to in the blogs, is his mama. And he don't even like her, do he?" Jayda sat near them on the ground, crisscrossing her legs.

"Nope. That's exactly what I'm saying. And now that he done ghosted me too, it's just like-what did he want? Then, after I posted that picture today, he finally tried to pull up. Like, boy, bye."

"Nana, what if it's because they know about each other? Don't you think it's weird and coincidental how as soon as Von found out about you 'cheating', Youngboy ghosted you at the same exact time?" Ari pointed out, perking one of her eyebrows.

Dream wondered why she hadn't thought of that before. They did follow each other on Instagram, but she thought that was just rap business. Neither Dayvon nor Kentrell had ever talked to her about one another, but had spoken about their other friends to her, so she never thought that they could've had a deeper bond rather than just over music.

Then, it just didn't make sense. She knew the type of person both men were, and if they'd found out about each other, she should've been in somebody's funeral home right about now. But, she wasn't. So, what was going on?

"I don't know. Maybe I'll finally confront one of them about it. Whatever, I don't wanna talk about them anymore." She waved the thought off, but did begin to mentally plan what she'd do about it.

"Well..to bring up another subject, I have something to tell you." Jayda poked her lips out as if she was hesitating on what she wanted to say.

"I-we, kind of-date?" She managed to get out, just a tad bit nervous on the reaction that Dream would have.

"Who is we? You're back with Dominique?" Dream asked, confused.

"No, Nana. We, date." Ariana enunciated, and then watched as Dream's eyes widened, genuinely caught off guard at the statement.

"Oh my g-oh my god. Really?! Oh my god, since when? I mea-how d-why am I just now knowing?" Dream couldn't even get a coherent sentence out because she was so surprised.

"It just happened like two weeks ago, I swear. I told her we should've told you as soon as we admitted there were feelings, but she thought we should wait." Jayda explained, putting down the Moncler jacket that she was zipping on a hanger.

"Not because I was scared or anything, I just didn't know how to tell you. Especially because I know it's random." Ari chimed in, a soft expression replacing her natural mug.

"But it's just me. Did y'all think I would judge y'all or something? Wait-is that why y'all were so mad at each other the last time?"

"Yeah. I was just kind of pissed at how she brought Dominique up, when me and her had literally just talked about how we felt about each other the day before. So I was just gonna dead the 'feelings', and pretend they were never there, but then we apologized, so," Jayda shrugged, glancing over at Ariana who was already looking at her.

"Aw. I'm so happy for y'all then. I'm nervous, too, though. I don't mean to jinx it or wish bad on y'all, but what happens to us if y'all have a real fall out?" Dream asked, looking between the both of them.

"We promise not to put you in the middle of anything that we got goin'. We'll deal with it and still make sure we're okay, as friends." Ariana assured her, and Jayda nodded in agreement.

"Okay. Well then, this is good! So, are y'all doing the nasty yet?" Dream smirked, and then burst into a fit of laughter at the expressions on their faces.

Jaz so fucking ugly. I be so mad every time I look at her. Lord forgive me but gotthefuckingmighty 😒😒😒
