𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐂𝐄 of stu macher, being the daughter of his younger sister. scout hadn't lived with her mother for a long time. the woman had just up and left one day, never looking back. scout was shipped to woodsboro, california to live with her aunt and cousin, leslie macher and vince schneider. both of them had been a little unbearable to live with at first, but the more time went by, the more scout had gotten used to them. but they were still assholes, abusing scout verbally and psychologically. that led to scout closing herself off to anyone, trying to protect herself from anymore heartbreak.

it was a good thing she did that too, considering all of the looks she had gotten from the other kids in town. she was well aware of why she was receiving those looks, having been the niece of one of the original ghostface killers. she was getting judged and bullied for something that she had no part in and had happened years before she was born. but people didn't care about that. they made sure to stay far away from her while they called her things. psycho, ghostface, little macher, loony bin. she hates the names that had stuck to her since she arrived. but she couldn't do nothing about it. so instead, she just sucked it up and ignored everyone.

then she met tara carpenter. her aunt leslie had decided to go away for a few days when scout was in fifth grade, leaving her with vince. the two stayed far away from each most of the time. but vince had decided to go to a party one night, knowing that he couldn't leave scout in the house by herself. so he had convinced sam carpenter, tara's older sisters, to babysit her for a few hours. and she did, but only because sam needed the money. so that night, scout went over to the carpenters', being very awkward and quiet. she had never been to anyone else's house since her time in woodsboro.

tara had seen how uncomfortable the macher girl was, making it her goal to make scout feel at home. and that's exactly what she did. tara had shown scout around her house before she had taken her to her room. slowly but surely, scout had started to come out of her shell and got comfortable around tara. but then, vince came and picked her up, which immediately made the girl go right back into the comfort of her shell. she left the house thinking that tara was only being nice to her because her sister was babysitting her. but when they had gone back to school, tara had walked right up to scout and started talking like they had known each other for years. and to scout'a surprise, she was actually okay with it.

fast forward a few years, they're in high school and had an even bigger friend group. scout still received looks and was still being bullied by people, but she had learned how to defend herself. . . both physically and verbally. let's just say, she's gotten into a lot of fights over the years. her friends had defended her when she couldn't, especially tara, who had become extremely protective of scout since they first met. everyone in their friend group had known why tara had became so overprotective of the macher girl, both of them developing feelings for one another.

what happens when the ghostface killers make a return after all these years?
