It's been weeks since I last saw Adelaide-Isadora. She's been on my mind constantly. Carmen has started noticing I'm off. She's asking if I'm feeling okay or if something happened. I was sitting on the couch when she sat down across from me. I looked up from the tv and she frowned at me.

"You're hiding something from me... I don't know what but I notice the way you act."

I sighed and fidgeted with the sleeves of my hoodie. I looked up at Carmen and looked her in the eyes before I opened my mouth and words fell out.

"I think I'm in love with someone else. I didn't want to tell you because I love you but lately... it's not been the same love as before."

"I noticed that... I think it might be time we... go our own paths? I've met someone last week who's brilliant. If you're in love with someone else and so am I... maybe we can better break up."

"Yeah... maybe that's for the better."

Tears rolled over our cheeks. We both stood up and hugged each other.

"Thanks for everything George... you're an amazing person."

"That goes the same with you, Carmen..."

She wiped her tears away before she grabbed a bag of stuff and went outside to a hotel. She said she would drop by tomorrow to pick up all her stuff and she thanked me once more before going. I sighed as I sat down on the couch. The sun was setting when I had the urge to go outside for a walk. I took my coat and pulled it on as I walked out the door. Slipping down the stairs I decided to got to the park. The fresh air got me in the face and it never felt so good. I felt the soft blow of the wind as I walked towards the park. It was only a 10 minutes walk before I arrived. I walked a little longer before settling on a park bench. I looked around. Noticing the elder man sitting on a bench. He looked a little lost before a woman sat down next to him. She held a hotdog up for him. The brown pin straight hair of the girl was in a bun as she wore a pair of light blue pantalon and a light grey trenchcoat to keep her warm in this cold weather. She took off her white scarf and wrapped it around the elderly man sitting next to her. She wrapped it around him and her side profile was seeable from where I was sitting. Adelaide-Isadora. I sat up a little more straight. She turned a little and her side profile was now constantly on view for me. She smiled so sweetly at the man beside her. I stood up and walked towards them. She noticed me and smiled. I smiled back at her as I closed the distance.

"Hey."

"Hai George."

"How are you?"

"I'm good. You?"

"Broke up with Carmen but I'm good."

"Really? So sorry about that."

"It's better this way."

"Isa..."

The man looked at me while saying her nickname. She looked at the man.

"Yes Theo."

"Is that Chris?"

Her whole body tensed up at the mentioning of his name and she looked around the park before relaxing a little.

"Who do you mean?"

"Him."

He pointed at me and Adelaide-Isadora smiled softly. She looked at the man named Theo gently.

"That's George. He's somebody I know. Chris is in Manchester."

"Really? How come I didn't know?"

"It may have slipped your mind."

Her eyes stood sad as she looked at him. He chuckled softly as he looked at me.

"He reminds me of somebody... he looks just like someone on my tv."

"I am-"

"That must be somebody very much alike then."

Adelaide-Isadora gave me stern eyes as if to warn me not to say anything. The man looked at her and smiled with tears in his eyes.

"You know Isa..."

"What is it?"

"You feel more like my own child like my own children. That's something I'll cherish forever."

She smiled at him gratefully.

"Come on Theo. It's time to go back to your room. We have to be back before it's dark and that's in 15 minutes."

"But then you have to walk home alone Isa. I will walk you home."

The man looked around him. He didn't seem to remember which way.

"Where are we going?"

"My home Theo. You were gonna drop me off."

"Ah yes. Which way?"

"That way."

I frowned. I knew Adelaide-Isadora lived the on the north side of the park not the South side. She shook her head and I nodded.

"Should I come along?"

"Oh that kind of you young man."

The man smiled at me and so we started walking towards his room apparently. Adelaide-Isadora walked inside and helped him to his room before coming outside again. We walked in silence as we went to the park again. We sat on a bench next to the pond of water. The sun was set behind the buildings but the explosive colors were still in the sky and lighting our faces.

"Theo is demented. He's going back hard... he's only got me."

"Only got you?"

"His own children choice their mother's side in the divorce. Theo was alone for a long time. I've helped him in multiple business law cases and am the one helping him in his divorce. We're almost finished with the case but I choose to spend every evening after work with him."

A soft tear rolled of her cheek as she stared into the distance. I staid silent. I didn't want to say anything useless. Words don't always add something to a conversation. Sometimes silence is better. She sighed again. A shaky breath.

"Theo has learned me a lot of life lessons. He's special to me. He choose for... he decided to euthanize himself. He doesn't want to live this way. He's always said so. Now I am the one who has to fight for this in court. Because it's against law he choose this himself. I have to fight for him to have it his way while this isn't the way I would want it."

I wrapped my arms around her in a hug. She let herself sink into my touch and it felt... extraordinary... it felt right. Like it was always meant to be her in my arms. Her soft tears rolled onto my coat as she slowly calmed down.

"Sorry..."

"Nothing to be sorry about. Feelings need to come out."

We staid silent for a while as we were still hugging each other.

"Have you had dinner yet? Because I think we could both use some company for dinner."

"That's a good idea yes."

"Come on... I'll cook us some pasta."

She smiled at me so gratefully I felt special. I had never had met someone with such powerful looks. One of her looks spoke thousands of words. It's what made her special.
