yikes.

yeah, so, i haven't touched this story in five years and i think it's fully safe to say i most likely never will. so i'm officially discontinuing it seeing as even five years later i still have people asking if i'll ever update, which the answer is no, sadly. i'm thinking about going back and editing and touching up the layout so it's not so dull, and making some dates make more sense since i didn't do that the first time around which caused some confusion, but i am not planning on writing for this story again.

and because of that i figured the least i could so is maybe give you guys a summary of what i had semi planned??? i went back and reread and i do admit i miss persephone and her relationships with all the gang, and so i want to give her at least a little bit of an ending that none of you got to see 😔😔

WHERE WE LEFT OFF, the last chapter is where persephone finally starts to show more supernatural things that she does once she has a run in with allison's grandfather (gerard) and has to run off to the bathroom because literal SPIKES are coming out of her wrists, and isaac shows up to try and help her before the chapter ends, which then leads to the story not progressing any further. so major cliffhanger which is why i decided to do this!

— first off, i kind of want to clear up something that was confusing a lot of people because of the foreword. i am planning on going back and adding dates so it makes WAY more sense but the women at the very beginning is obviously not persephone. people were asking if persephone was pregnant and what happened because they thought she was the women in the beginning, but she WASN'T! the women was actually persephone's mother. cecily (her mother) came back to find her entire pack murdered by hunters which then led her into a fit of rage which led her to carving a spiral on the ground, and on the surface of her stomach where her baby was. in teen wolf the spiral means revenge, which is what sets off this story. cecily didn't understand the extent of her actions or what it would do to persephone when she was born, which is what we start to find out in the rest of the story

— so fast forward sixteen years and we have persephone waking up in a hospital in beacon hills after being hurt pretty bad. she has major amnesia and doesn't remember anything besides her name, and throughout the next couple chapters she has a dream of the attack (which she doesn't know whether it's real or not.) now going back and reading i was so focused on integrating persephone into the plot line and making relationships with the characters i didn't go that much into persephone's past at all as i wasn't planning on doing that until MUCH later because i wanted it to be a mystery along the way. if you read the foreword, it very briefly mentioned cecily having a young son that was missing, and i was planning on bringing him to beacon hills eventually. he would be persephone's brother, and he would be the one to tell her about everything that happened before, since persephone was never going to remember. i researched a little on amnesia and since it was so rare for someone to completely forget their entire life, especially for a long period of time, i was going to go more into the fact of persephone's old self suppressing the memories because she didn't WANT to remember

— persephone was not the kanima, or any type of kanima of chimera like some people predicted. that was a brief point where stiles and scott took her to derek once they saw her skin in the mirror. but isaac tells them that wasn't what the kanima looks like, which gets proven later when both stiles and persephone get attacked at the car shop. now trying to explain what persephone is,,,, it's kinda hard trying to explain my fourteen year old mind. but she was two different creatures, and both of them balanced the other out. the first was she WAS a werewolf. in the story her eyes glowed yellow like scott's did. she had the genetic gene from her parents, which is why has so much control even when she didn't remember what she was. the second was based off a creature from supernatural, but i added all my own things to it to make it fit her character and add it to the storyline. this other part of her was what was called a wraith in supernatural. they would appear human to anyone, but a mirror could show their true selves. and the spikes also come from them, while in the show the spikes were what the wraiths killed with and would kind of feed from? but i changed it around and made it so those spikes would only come out around people she HAD to kill. hence, why they came out once she saw gerard. instead of calling it a wraith i had started calling it a wrath, because of how i wanted the revenge spiral to tie into it. so persephone was born a werewolf, but because of her mother drawing the spiral into her stomach it also made her a wrath. and the two would balance each other out. the wrath side of her made it so she wasn't forced to turn on a full moon, and she could easily handle her anger. but it also made it so she couldn't heal like werewolves usually do, she didn't have the normal strength or speed either, and she can't turn at will unless under a lot of stress (like in the car shop when she was trying to save the mechanic, and there was a moment where her strength appeared.) now the werewolf side of her made it so she was still somewhat HUMAN. the wrath part of hers only purpose was to go kill all the hunters, but the werewolf side helped anchor that urge and made it so she could somewhat control herself and not immediately murder any hunter she comes into contact with (ie allison.)

— now when persephone comes into contact with gerard was when she loses control for the first time. and that's because he was the hunter that cecily talked to in the beginning. he was the MAIN HUNTER behind her whole family's death. the spikes came out to let her know who he was and that she needed to kill him, but she didn't remember anything about that and so she freaked out

— isaac ends up going to derek about it, and he actually has heard of persephone's kind before but he doesn't understand how she's so human. trying to figure more about her is another main reason why they try to get the bestiary

— gerard does not recognize persephone since he hasn't seen her since she was a little girl, and it was another team of hunters who had been hunting her that killed her mother and attacked her before she was found and brought to the hospital

— hunters had been hunting her and her mother since she was born. they were TERRIFIED of wrath's knowing what they were born to do. no one understood how the werewolf gene helped balance it out. they just wanted her dead. she could never stay in one place long, and spent so long running. that's the main reason why persephone doesn't remember, because the "old" her wanted to be happy and have friends and a home. she wanted nothing to do with her past. but with gerard in town it was hard to avoid

— throughout the season she would struggle with trying to contain the wrath part of her, and also trying to help her friends from being hurt by the kanima. there was also a constant back and forth between her and isaac because she wanted to be with him, but also didn't agree with derek and was FURIOUS when he tried to kill lydia. derek tells isaac to hurt anyone protecting lydia, but isaac ended up only pretending to knock out persephone because he couldn't bring himself to ever hurt her

— the more she's around gerard, the harder it gets to controlling the wrath part of her and eventually she loses it and accidentally kills one of chris's hunters. when she killed the hunter, her skin turned like it does in the mirror and it stays like that for hours. she ran to dereks to look for isaac not knowing what to do and he sits with her until it eventually fades away

— a lot of the storyline persephone was with stiles when all these attacks were happening. she was there to help kidnap jackson, and later also ends up with a restraining order. most of the season goes to plot until right before the rave when her brother shows up. she doesn't believe him when he says who he is and refuses to talk to him at first, and goes to help sedate jackson. both her and isaac were in charge of injecting the ketamine into jackson (the dance scene 🤤🤤) and when jackson pushes persephone to the ground isaac gets mad and stabs him with the needle

— on erica, boyd, and isaacs first full moon persephone goes to help derek. he refuses at first but persephone is starting to get more control of her werewolf strength and derek knows he needs the help and lets her stay (not that she would take no for an answer.) she stays with isaac the entire time, and when she realized he had a lot more control than the other two she unchained him so they could help derek control boyd and erica. she sits right next to him all night and listens to him talk about his dad and what he went through growing up. persephone knows that she would never let him go through that again and it's the point of the story when they really start to admit that they can't be away from each other

— "why aren't you scared of me?"
"the same reason you were never scared of me, isaac."

— when persephone finds out what lydia did at her birthday party she goes full protective sister and refuses to let anyone go after her. she hated herself for not realizing lydia was being manipulated by peter (even when she saw her talking to no one in the counselors office) and she refuses to let anything else take advantage of her

— sometime between episode 9 and 10 persephone ends up calling the number her "brother" gave her. she asked to meet up because she doesn't want to live her life not ever knowing why she is the way she was and he tells her about how gerard and his hunters killed their entire family and their mom made her what she was. he also tells her that he found their mom dead after he finally caught up to them, which persephone learns that the dreams she's been having are real and she believes that this guy actually is her brother and apologizes for everything (not being able to save their mom, not believing him, not remembering anything.) he told her he's planning on staying in town for awhile and to never have any doubt in him. they were the last of their family and he would help her with anything (his anchor is persephone.)

— she was at the police station with stiles when matt attacks them with jackson. matt knew how strong she could be and paralyzed her with stiles and derek. scott leaves both her and stiles while he goes to fight the kanima and persephone absolutely hates not being to move and could hear everything that was happening (including scott talking to gerard) and she became absolutely livid because she ended up telling scott and stiles what gerard did to her family and he still helped him

— isaac shows up at the animal clinic to ask scott about what he should do (leave with erica and boyd or stay) and scott tells him he can't make that decision for him. isaac then confesses that now that persephone has her brother back he didn't think anyone really needed him

— "trust me. she still needs you. she never stops talking about you."

— persephone and lydia go to the lacrosse game, and persephone can hear everything that gerard is telling scott, so she leaves lydia with melissa and the sheriff to go sit by scott and try to come up with a plan when isaac shows up and sits next to her and puts her arm around her

— "you stayed to help?"
" i'll always stay to help you."

— when isaac gets paralyzed during the game persephone gets a really bad feeling and follows him into the locker rooms and finds gerard and another hunter trying to kill isaac. being so close to gerard makes her lose control again and her spikes come out and she kills the other hunter when gerard turns around and finally realized who she is when her skin turns like it does when she kills a hunter. he ends up running off when scott shows up and isaac is keeping persephone calm enough to not run after him. i had planned for them to share their first kiss during this scene 😚

— when stiles goes missing, both persephone and lydia go to his house to find him there beat up. persephone could tell that it wasn't lacrosse players like he told his dad and she uses her werewolf side to take his pain away before leaving him alone with lydia (who she's still trying to get with stiles even after all this time.) later that night she goes with both of them to where gerard and the hunters are attacking derek, scott, and isaac. stiles runs the kanima over with his jeep, and while lydia tries to convince jackson (the kanima) to stop what he's doing, persephone immediately runs over to isaac realizing he's hurt

— while persephone's helping isaac and everyone else is focusing on jackson, she realized that gerard starts to wake up and tries to crawl away from them. persephone refuses to let him get away with everything that he's done and lets the wrath side of her take over, and she drags his body back and while gerard is struggling to get away, persephone finally looks him in the eye and tells him he finally got what he deserved and that her mother kept her promise (cue what cecily said in the foreword) and persephone stabs him with one of her spikes, and gerard is finally dead

— after she kills him her spikes went back into her body and her wrath skin starts to fade, which confuses everyone because it always stays when she kills a hunter, but chris tells everyone that since she killed gerard that part of her is finally put to rest. she's no longer cursed with the need for revenge, and she's finally able to just be a werewolf like she's always wanted to be

— after all this finally starts to calm down, persephone goes to her brother and he tells her that he's planning on buying an apartment in town and wanted her to move in with him. she's reluctant at first because she doesn't want to leave lydia, but lydia tells her she understands and that she should go be with her family. so persephone moves in with her brother and isaac ends up moving in with scott (but you bet your ass he sneaks into persephone's room pretty much every night)

— around this time isaac finally stops being a coward and asks persephone to be his girlfriend and they are cute and happy and living their best life

— cut to the end scene of season two. scott and stiles and practicing lacrosse, and persephone and isaac are sitting on the bench totally being all cute and laughing at both of the boys bickering

— "i had you before."
"yeah and you STILL have me."
"yeah, scott. you still have stiles. but now you also have us."

AND THAT'S THE END!!! i didn't have any sort of plans for a sequel because it would just draw out a storyline that had reached its end. but just know that persephone and isaac are happy and thriving. thank you to everyone who read the chapters that i did write. this was one of my first stories on this app that i started six years ago and even though i didn't finish it, i still really appreciate the love that it got. thank you to you all 💞💓💕💖💘💗💝
