                       Kassidy Williams always thought she would be a lawyer or a doctor- why? Well because her parents constantly pushed her and her siblings to do nothing but be successful.

Be the best.

If they were even close to below average there would be consequences.

It was more-so her mother who wanted them to strive which every parent does but her methods were excessive.

Kassidy's brother, Casey, fell into drugs and dropped out of college- which they didn't like so much.

And Kassidy blamed her mother for putting so much pressure on him.

But Kassidy stayed in university studying to be a lawyer that was until her father had died in the line of duty- seeing as he was a detective in Chicago.

Kassidy was the closest to her father, they were partners in crime so when he died it was a whirlwind of emotion.

As is losing any parent.

So she dropped out of university, dropped being a lawyer and joined the military.

A very impulsive decision on her part.

She was enlisted as a Ranger in the 3rd battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan.

She did a two tours and stopped after she almost died after getting shot, leaving the permanent scar behind to remind her.

After feeling like she had little to no purpose after leaving the military she studied and became a cop in New York.

Regaining the sense of purpose of helping people.

Kassidy slowly worked her way to the top where she worked which didn't take her long considering the 'be the best of the best' that was driven into her mind her whole childhood.

About two weeks ago she received an offer from the intelligence unit in Chicago from Hank Voight. An old friend of her father's saying he wanted her on his team.

After serious contemplation, seeing as the girl never wanted to go back to Chicago and hadn't been there in almost four years and refused to even visit her mother, she decided to take the offer.

Little did she know she'd be reuniting with an old friend from the military.
