-Amber's P.O.V-

After what happened we walked for what seemed like ages. Night had finally fallen so we had stopped and created a little wood fire and sat around it. Since i stupidly didn't bring a jacket and i was freezing i was the closest one to it. Aris walked over to the fire and threw wood so it would light on a bit more.

He then sat beside me and looked at the fire. "How you feeling?" asked Aris rubbing my arm. "Fine i guess" was all i said.

"I thought we were supposed to be immune" said Minho with a dagger in his hands. "Not all of us" said Teresa laying down beside Newt.

"Some of us don't have what it takes to be one" i said my knees pulled up on my chest and my head rested on them. "If Winston could get infected we should've seen so could the rest of us" said Newt serious.

"I never thought i say it...i miss the glade" said Frypan a tear rolling down his cheek.

"We all do...i guess things were easier than" i said my voice shaking a bit but manage to speak. I looked at Thomas who had watery eyes he looked at me and i gave him a really small smile. He just nodded in response, what could you expect one of your friends dying isn't something you should be happy of.

I looked down sadly but then Thomas stood up and sat beside me wrapping his arms around me seeing as i was shaking from the cold air.

The next morning we woke up and just kept on walking. Thomas right beside me like always and Aris behind me. I had my blanket over my head to cover me from the sun. I saw Minho take out his water bottle and went to drink but nothing came out. He clenched his jaw and threw the bottle.

I sighed and grabbed my bag taking out my bottle and handing it out to him. "No it's your" he said rejecting it but i insisted. "No go ahead, it looks like you need it more than me" i said and put it in his hands. He smiled and drank water taking every sip of it.

I turned to keep on walking. As i walked beside Thomas out hands brushed against each other. Then i felt his hand slip into him and intertwining our fingers. I felt butterflies in my stomach and my cheeks turning red. "You look cute when you blush" he said making me go even more red if possible.

I moved in my sleep uncomfortable since we were sitting on the floor. My only pillow was Thomas's arm which was under my head and the other wrapped around my waist. I opened my eyes slightly but as i did i see a little far away from the lights. I quickly raised my head up groaning. I turned around to Thomas and shake him.

"Thomas, Thomas" i whispered yelled to him. He groaned opening his eye then rubbing them.

"What happened Amber?" he asked me his voice oddly y and tired.

"Wake up. I see some lights" i said desperately. As Thomas heard and saw my concerned face he quickly stood up and looked behind me.

"We need to wake them up. Guys wake up, guys wake up" he whispers yelled shaking everyone up. Everyone stood up confused and looked at Thomas and me.

"What? what's going on?" asked Newt standing up.

"You see that? Those are the lights. We made it" said Thomas out of breath.

We then heard a loud bang making us all turn around to see a big cloud with lightning striking everywhere. Then a lightning strike making my eyes widen and gulp. "Let's go. We gotta go" said Thomas grabbing his bag. I quickly grab my hand and looked over at him.

"Let's go" he said before we started running really fast. As we ran faster the lightning seems to get a lot closer. "Keep running!" yelled Thomas over the loud bangs of the lightning. I was a bit behind everyone else i was tired indeed but i kept on running. It didn't seem it was fast enough because i then felt a lightning strike a few feet away from me.

"Ah!" i screamed tripping on something. Thomas quickly looked back and ran over to me. "AMBER! Come on" he said concerned lacing his voice. I whimpered as my fall made a scar on my knee. "CAN YOU RUN?" yelled Thomas quickly to me.

I nodded not wanting to hold everyone back. He helped me up and we started running again. We were almost close to the building when then there was another lighting close to us but instead, it hit Minho this time. Thomas looked back. "KEEP RUNNING!" he yelled at me as he went back to help and unconscious Minho same as Aris and Newt.

We all went running over to the building. Frypan opened the door holding for Thomas and the rest. "Move come on!" he yelled pushing us inside. As Thomas, Aris and Newt went inside with Minho Frypan quickly closed the door. They lay Minho down on the floor.

I quickly took out a flashlight since everything was black. "MINHO! MINHO!" yelled Thomas over and over again. Minho still didn't react. We stood silent for a moment until i quickly passed the flashlight to Aris who looked at me weirdly and then i crouch down beside Thomas and on top of Minho but beside.

"Sorry" i muttered under my breath as i raised my hand and gave him a hard slap waking him up instantly.

"Ow" he mumbled making us smile. They looked at me shock written across their faces.

"What? It was the only way to make him conscious" I effectively woke him up and got success.

"What happened? And why does my cheek hurt so bad?" he said making us laugh.

"You got struck by a lightning" said Thomas smiling.

"And Amber slapped you awake" said Newt making my eyes widen in embarrassment.

"Oh...remember me to never get her pissed" he nodded slowly in thanks.

Then Teresa stood up looking around. "Hey what's that smell?" she asked looking around. We turned around and looked at her. I then sniffed the air and quickly regret it as it smelled real bad. Just then one of those things which i now knew as a crank jumped over to Teresa almost grabbing her.

That thing again. I then looked beside me hearing some chains then jumped back as another one jumped at me this time but quickly moved back. Thomas then grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him in a protective way. We then hear more sounds and looked around to see we were completely surrounded by them.

"I see you met our guard dogs" said a female voice from i don't know where. Then a light turned on and a woman stood at a door only her shadow appeared. She then walked in the middle of them since they were chained like it was nothing. She stopped in front of us and sighed.

I laughed when she slapped Minho to wake him up i had to do that it was very funny for me. Once again thank you for reading and we're getting closer to even more action!
