-3rd person's P.O.V-

Six-year-old Amber was being carried by a woman who had certain features like hers and right beside her was a man carrying her brother Aris. They were walking through a big crowd who was really desperate to get somewhere. The girl looked at Aris in the eyes and he smiled at her taking her hand and mouthed 'It will be okay'.

She smiled widely and nodded believing him. Feeling herself being put down and Aris beside her, she looked behind to see soldiers with guns. "Aris, Amber remember we love you and this is the only way to keep you two safe" said the father giving Aris then Amber a hug.

Knitting her eyebrows together in confusion she glanced back at her mother who had tears running down her cheeks. "Mommy what's going on?" she asked whipping away her tears.

"Nothing sweetie you're just going to a better and safer place, just remember i love you, okay" she said giving little Amber a kiss on the forehead same as Aris.

"Aris remember to always protect your sister and no matter what always stick together" said the dad giving his little girl a big hug.

"Amber here. Remember that as long as you have this necklace you will always have me and dad with you same as Aris" said her mother taking her locket around her neck and putting it around Amber's. She nodded but then felt a strong pair of arms picking her up and taking her away from her parents.

"NO MOMMY DADDY! NO, LET ME GO MOMMY DADDY!" she screamed as she could see them getting away with each step the man took.

Amber looked over at her older brother and saw how he was really sad too but quickly covered it. He took her hand and smiled reassuringly.

"Everything will be okay, i promise" he said and she nodded believing him once again, but not all promises are unbreakable.

"NO-MOM-DAD!" teenage Amber wakes up screaming.

She has had this nightmare since the day she got in the maze but the thing is she's not there anymore. It always ends there, it never does show the end, but she knew it was a memory.

Arms wrapped around her and started to say soothing things to her. "It's okay, it's not real Amber. It's in the past, calm down okay?" Aris, the brother said trying to calm his little sister down.

They both shared a room together. It's the only thing the people that put them here let them have together.

The brunette didn't know what would she do without Aris. Ever since she remembered him in the maze, they've been stuck to the hip.

Grabbing the locket around her neck, she nodded repeatedly trying to calm herself down.

The locket was the only thing she had from her parents. But she hasn't had the guts to open it.

"I'm okay now" breathing in and feeling herself calm down from the nightmare she nodded to her brother pulling from the hug.

"You sure?" he asked looking at her with caring eyes. She sends him a small smile. "Okay if you say so. How about we go and have breakfast the guards are coming in 15 minutes so why don't you get a bath and change?" he said grabbing her shoulders.

"Okay, okay" she said grabbing the little stuff she had and walking over to the bathroom.

After getting a bath and changing into proper clothes Amber and Aris were guided by some guards to go to the cafeteria. Once there, the two sat on the empty table alone in front of the other.

The two weren't that social. Aris was labeled as the only boy in a maze full of girls and Amber was his sister the one who got them out of the maze.

As Thomas walked into the cafeteria he was surprised to see a lot of teenagers sitting there smiling. Minho walked up to him looking happy. "Hey, Thomas" said Minho.

"Hey, Minho, what's going on?" asked Thomas confused.

"We weren't the only maze" was all Minho told him and motioned for Thomas to follow him to a table full of other boys and his friends.

"And then this big loud explosion and guys came out of nowhere, started shooting up the place" said a dark-skinned boy. He was telling them how he got out of the maze. "It was intense," said the guy sitting beside him. "They took us out the maze and brought us here" he said seriously.

"What about the rest? The other people left behind in the maze? What happened to them?" asked Newt hearing the story.

"I don't know," the boy shrugged his shoulders. "I guess W.I.C.K.E.D still has them" he said sadly.

"How long have you guys been here?" asked Newt.

"Not long just a day or two" answered the boy.

"Those kids over there," he said motioning to Amber and Aris who were with their heads looking down. "Have been here the longest, almost a week" the gladers looked over to them.

Thomas got curious about the girl who was sitting in front of the boy. Amber looked behind her feeling eyes on her as she did she locked eyes with Thomas, quickly she looked away in shyness.

"He's the luckiest. He was sent to a maze full of girls and the girl right there was the one to get the surviving ones out of it and she was only in there for 1 day" said the boy beside the dark-skinned one.

The gladers were really surprised at this.

"Really?" said Minho not believing them.

"Some guys have all the luck. Oh and they are siblings she's younger than him" said the dark-skinned boy.

Some guards went over to Amber and Aris's table the guard who looked to be the leader looked over to the girl. "Amber" he said making Amber looked up.

"Y-yes" she stuttered slowly looking at the man.

"Come with me" he said grabbing her arm and making her stand up.

The gladers and the other boys looked at them. "Wait! Where are you taking her?" asked Aris standing up and went to grab Amber.

"Somewhere. We are still not done checking her so if you please" the guard said gesturing over to Aris's hand that held a grip on Amber's arm.

"Okay, then I'll go-" he got cut off by the guard.

"It's only your sister and that's all" he said and started to pull on Amber.

"No way-" again Aris got cut off but this time by Amber.

"Aris it's okay. They'll just recheck me, and I'll be back" she said and gave him a hug then walked away with the guards.

Aris sat back down pissed they had taken his sister again. The first time they came, they had taken her and he didn't see her until the next day. The gladers watched intently wondering where was she being taken?

Amber walked with the guards two at her back and two at the front. She didn't know what was happening and this gave her a bad feeling. "This way" said the guard opening a door.

Amber walked inside to see people with lab coats standing there. At this she got nervous. "What's going on?" she asked taking a step back but was stopped when she hit a hard chest behind her.

"Nothing just lay down. We're just checking everything is alright with you" said the woman. Amber walked over and lay down unsure of what was happening. The woman injected her with something, making her start to feel dizzy and panic.

"What's g-going on? What are you d-doing to me?" she asked getting more dizzy.

"Nothing Amber now just lay down and everything will be okay" said the woman grabbing her shoulders and pushing her down. Amber pushed her arms off making the woman's coat move and reveal the W.I.C.K.E.D sign. Her eyes widened and whispered

"You're W.I.C.K.E.D" she whispered but then everything black out.

Yayy first chapter is here and I'm happy because i LOVE  The Maze Runner even though it's over. This book is based on the movie as you can see.
