𝗦𝗔𝗡 𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗚𝗢, 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗔

I slowly began to open my eyes as I laid in a hospital bed before looking around and seeing no one was here before remembering why I was here.

I then placed my hands on my face stressfully before letting tears fall from my eyes as I leaned back against the pillows beginning to sob quietly.

"Dinah!" My Mom said as she walked into the room with food that she sat down once she saw my composure

"Honey, I truly feel you right now, but you have got to calm down for the sake of your babies." She said as she placed her hand on my leg as I continued to cry

"I can't act like I don't feel this. I can't act like a part of my life hasn't been ripped from my soul." I replied as I looked at my wedding ring before covering my face as more tears fell from my eyes

"Baby, you don't even fully know whether that is even the case...nobody has gotten in contact with you about him and I'm pretty sure if something was wrong with my son-in-law, my other adoptive children would have been called you by now." She said with a smile as she wiped my eyes

"So, do you want me to call one of them or you got it?" She then asked

"Fuck, man, you good?" I said as me and Jim dressed Eric's arm wound since our Corpsman just dipped out on us with the Marines

"Yeah, shit just burns like hell" He replied as the rest of the guys barricaded the room and windows

Just as Jim gave me the look letting me know he was about to apply the tourniquet I briskly covered Eric's mouth as Jim began tightening the tourniquet as tight as he could to stop the bleeding.

I then let go causing E to punch my shoulder with his good arm before Jim, "You guys could've fucking warned me!"

I then laughed before Kyle said, "We can't stay here. By sun up word will get around and Keram's right hand will know we are here."

"Did you guys see how Givens ran off with the Marines?" Ross then asked causing me to say, "Because we were set up. Admiral Louis sent us out here without backup because of me and Jim, now we are going to have to find a way out before the terrorists find us because we all have fucking bounty's on our heads."

"So we're fucked?" Franks replied

"Yeah, what's our loadout looking like?" I asked

"Half full clips in each automatic, full clips in the handguns and my sniper...and 3 hand and sticky grenades," Ross said causing me to nod and sigh

"Tonight we are getting out of here. We are going to steal a car, hot-wire it and get back to base." Jim announced causing me to nod

"God, I'm going to kick Admiral's fucking ass!" Houston said as he held his arm

"Get in line," I replied sitting next to him with a sigh

"Wait, shit! Where's my phone?" I asked as I checked my pocket I usually keep it in

"You probably dropped it when we were ambushed." Jim answered causing me to run my hands through my hair as I said, "Fuck, Dinah's probably going crazy I was talking to her when that shit went down."

Ross then pulled out his phone and said, "Yeah, man, she's worried. She texted and called me like a thousand times about you."

"Yeah, me too." The rest of the guys added

"Oh, she's going to kill you," Houston said with a laugh as Ross gave me his phone so I could call her

I then dialed her number in hopes she was fine and on the second ring she answered causing me to say, "Hey, babe, are you okay?"

'Colton?! Oh God, we are so glad you are alright!' Her Mom then answered causing my eyebrow to raise

"Hey, Mrs. Washington. Yes, I'm fine. Can I please speak to Dinah?" I asked now slightly worried

'Well, she's sleeping. The doctor had to sedate her yesterday-' She said before I cut her off saying, "What? Is she and the baby okay?!"

'Yes, she's fine but she heard everything that was happening on your end and you didn't answer and it caused her to go into shock, so the doctor sedated her yesterday so she wouldn't stress herself and the baby to death, so she's been awake and asleep back and forth. But she's scaring me since yesterday she hasn't even been eating.' She answered causing me to sigh stressfully

"Well, can you please wake her?" I asked just wanting her to know I am okay

'Mom, what are they saying?!' I then heard her say out of nowhere in the background causing me to smile slightly

'It's Colton, here...' Her Mom said before Dinah said, 'Oh my God, baby, you scared the shit out of me! Are you okay?'

"Yes, baby, I'm fine. It's just a lot going on out here." I answered with a sigh before continuing, "Your Mom told me what happened, you can't go crazy like that while you're pregnant. You are going to hurt yourself and the baby doing that."

'Shut up, Colton, you fucking scared me!' She said lowly as she sounded like she began to cry

"I'm sorry, beautiful, please don't cry. I promised you I'd come home and I'm going to keep my promise." I replied feeling my soul shatter at the simple fact I couldn't even hold her in the moment

'What's going on over there, Colton?' She then asked sharply wanting to know exactly what was going on

"Baby, I can't-" I began to say before she cut me off saying, 'Can't my ass, tell me what's going on'

"Babe, I really don't need you getting more and more upset, especially with the baby." I rebutted

'No! Colton, no secrets. I want to know what's going on with you guys.' She said

"Dinah, please don't worry yourself to death if I tell
you," I said beginning to sigh stressfully since now I am genuinely worried about her health which is probably up and down

'I promise I'll be good...I just need to know so I can put my mind at ease.' She replied

"Alright, Me and Jim went to Admiral Louis yesterday because I and the guys felt that I needed to go home due in sake of my mental state. It went sideways, he said a lot of disrespectful shit to me concerning you and our son then he sent us out on a mission without backup, we drove into an ambush, our corpsman bailed out on us with the few Marines that were with us, Eric got shot in the arm, and now we are barricaded in this house and plan to make our way out tonight before the terrorists find us." I said causing her to groan lowly

'Is he okay?' She then asked with a slight nervousness building in her voice causing me to nod as I said, "Yeah, he's fine. You know he's a tough cookie as you'd say."

My wife then laughed lowly and said, 'You all are tough cookies.'

"Yeah, I'll make sure to tell them that," I replied with a laugh

'Now, your Admiral...what did he say to you?' She asked causing me to roll my eyes thinking back on it as I said, "He said I couldn't come home until we caught the terrorist though the guys insisted they could do it without me. Then I laughed sarcastically more so at the situation but he decided to grow some balls too big for him to handle, got in my face talking crazy, and when I told him to get out of my face; he decided to tell me he wasn't because if I put my hands on him he'd make sure I didn't see you or our baby for the next five years and then he basically told me he'd try and take my place and I lost it."

'I told you he was a jealous bastard, did you punch him in the face?' She asked causing me to laugh

"Nah, the guys grabbed me and decided to drag me away," I replied

'And he had the nerve to tell you something like that about our baby before sending you guys on a suicide mission? I'm going to kick his ass so he doesn't have to worry about you doing it.' She said angrily

"Don't worry we are all in line to beat his fucking ass!" Houston said causing me to laugh

"And will you please calm down, you are not the Mom from SpyKids and you will never be fighting another man for me because I will kill somebody for putting their hands on you," I replied to Dinah leaving her to laugh

'Well, he doesn't need to speak to you guys crazily!' She rebutted

"Woman, you better behave," I said before smiling

'You better come back home.' She replied

"I will, we are going to get Houston back to base and on the way home, and then we are planning and heading right back out to pick up who he wants so bad, then we'll be on the next flight home," I reassured

'You better, I'm tired of falling asleep without you and I'm tired of Theo and Evie bothering me, I need them to go back home.' She said causing me to smile

"I'll be back baby. Get some rest and make sure you're eating. And please don't be stubborn with your Mom when she tells you to eat so you can feed yourself and our son." I said

'Okay!' She replied sweetly causing me to shake my head with a smile

"I love you." I then said almost able to feel her smile radiating through the phone as she said, 'I love you too. See you soon.'

"Yeah, mamas, that's the spirit." I replied before she laughed and said, 'Bye. You better call me again.'

"I will, I promise. But call one of the guys because my phone is lost." I replied before she made a sound indicating an 'Okay' and hung up

"I love you!!" The guys began to coo making fun of me causing me to flick them all off

"You got what?!" I then heard Eric's wife yell through his phone causing me to laugh as we all looked over at his worried/scared expression

"Yeah, don't worry, bro, I got that talk before too." I then said
