𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗦, 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗦

"And Evie, Theo, and my Mom were just gushing over you." I groaned as Colton walked from the bathroom with nothing but his briefs on as he went toward his dresser

"You sound jealous baby." He replied with a laugh

"What makes it worst is Evie is strictly a lesbian." I rebutted watching his every move

"What can I say I have a way with the ladies." He replied slipping on black Nike joggers

"Mmhm," I mumbled rolling my eyes as I kept my eyes on his body letting my mind wander

"Did you hear what I just asked Dinah?" Colton asked snapping me out of my little moment

"Uh-sure" I replied causing him to laugh as he made his way over to where I sat stopping right in front of me

He then gently touched my cheek before entwining his fingers into my hair I had straightened last night for today's dinner that didn't go exactly as planned.

"What did I say then?" He asked as he stood over me causing me to tilt my chin up to face him

"That I was beautiful," I answered beginning to laugh knowing that's most likely not what he said

I was too busy staring at him so I heard nothing else he had said after his lady comment.

"Hmm, beautiful you are but that's not what I said." He replied gently rubbing his thumb against my lips as we held heavy eye contact

"What'd you say then?" I asked with a small smirk

"I said I missed your curls." He replied causing me to stand filling the small void between us

"You're making the face again," Colton said with his eyes still settled on mine

"It's kind of hard not to when you look at me like that," I replied before I lifted myself on my tip-toes placing my lips on his messily causing him to return the favor as his hands gripped my waist

My phone then began to ring causing me to groan in annoyance as I picked the phone up, "Hey, baby, we are on our way." My Mom said

"Alright, see you soon, love you," I replied as Colton bit his lip still looking me in the eyes and holding onto my waist

"Love you too." She replied before hanging up

"You love me too?" He then asked as his hands traveled lower to my bottom which he gripped gently

"Of course trouble," I replied kissing his nose, causing him to smile

"Well, then I'm one lucky man." He rebutted

"Oh lord, I cracked the toughest acting Seal team member now he's softer than a pillow." I teased now laughing

"I wasn't acting, I am tough and that's because you are an amazing cook."

I then hit his shoulder pulling away from his embrace before he quickly reattached his arms around me and said while laughing, "Okay, wait, baby, please." He plead

"Nope!" I replied pouting playfully

"Keep playing I'm gonna give you something to smile about," He said kissing my forehead as I tried to squirm free

"Max!" I squealed causing him to walk around the corner with his tongue out and low pants following

"Stay, boy" Colton then said to Max while throwing me over his shoulder

"Colton!" I screamed as I smiled causing him to laugh

"Yes, you cracked me, that what you wanna hear?" He asked smacking my thigh

"Yes!" I rebutted smacking his bottom in return

"Dinah." He said sharply now laughing at what I had done

"Put me down!" I whined causing him to gently throw me onto the bed and me to laugh maniacally

Colton did nothing but smile looking down at me before he began trailing his fingers up my leg slowly as I smirked and tried to playfully kick him resulting in him catching my foot and laughing.

Sometimes I truly wondered what he was thinking when he'd look at me and though he didn't say it all the time his eyes told it all.

He then slipped his hands beneath my thighs pulling me toward him causing me to laugh abruptly as he said, "Did you forget your fiancé has sharp instincts?"

"I don't know, did you forget your fiancée can kick your ass if she wanted to?" I rebutted causing him to smirk

"Hmm, I would never put my hands on a woman...not in that way at least so we can't test that theory." He replied holding my thighs up around his waist as our groins touched

"Which can we test then?" I asked while batting my eyes slowly knowing that was one of his weaknesses

"You keep doing stuff like that you'll find out," Colton said letting my thighs go so I could sit up

I then softly grabbed his hands and began pressing kisses on his abdomen causing him to softly push me away and sit beside me.

"Someone's horny." He teased with a laugh as I slipped onto his lap

"Yes," I whined in response

"What did I even do to get you like this?" He then asked with a laugh

"More than you think you did," I answered while looking him in the eyes

"Well, your family is going to be here shortly so we definitely don't have time to do anything. Also, I made a promise that you initiated." He replied

"We don't have to have sex." I huffed

"I'll do something later to fix your issue but for now you have to fix your composure and think holy." He said adding his little joke at the end causing me to roll my eyes

"Who knew you'd be the type to get angry when you are aroused." He said kissing my lips one last time before slipping on a shirt and leaving our bedroom

"You could've left the shirt off!" I called after him

"I don't think so. I think about making love to you too much and you're tempting me today." He replied causing me to smile

"So, Colton, how old are you honey?!" My Mom asked Colton who sat beside me at our dining table

"I'm 29, but I turn 30 in January." He answered as Max walked between where me and him sat and laid down

"Damn!" My brother Theo said under his breath causing Evie to laugh and me to send him a look

"And you are a Seal too?" My Father then asked

"Yes, sir." He replied while taking a sip of his water

"Why do you want to date my sister?" Nalen then asked

Nalen never liked guys getting close to me, simply because I always seemed to draw in the more bad boy types and it left my feelings hurt a lot of the times when I didn't want to do things they did due to my religion.

"If I'm being honest it's the fact she's made me happier than I've been in a long time," Colton said causing Theo and Evie to squeal

"Oh. My. Gawd! That man is a keeper, Dinah!" Theo said falling into Evie's arms as they fake cried and Nalen's face to scrunch up disapprovingly

"Well, son, you're sold in me and the misses' book." My Father then said causing me to laugh

"Well that is great, and though I actually thought I'd be able to tell you all this over a more formal setting, I just wanted you all to know I asked your daughter/sister to marry me," Colton said causing my Mom to excitedly cheer

Theo and Evie then began dancing as they ran over to hug me. They were both 17 and their big personalities weren't set to change for anyone and that's what made me love them so much other than the fact they are queers of our family.

"Okay, calm down," I said while laughing hugging them back

"Wait! You pregnant?" Theo then asked pulling away

"No!" I replied hitting his shoulder

"You still a virgin?" My Mom asked inaudibly causing Colton to nod and answer inaudibly 'yes'

At this point, I couldn't do anything other than cover my face clearly now embarrassed

"Okay, my baby is getting upset, everyone sit." My Mom said mainly to Theo and Evie who were still up and cheering

"Well, I guess I can kinda like you Colton, but you better not hurt my sister." Nalen then said

"Understood." He replied causing Nalen to nod

"Where're the rings?" My Mom then asked causing me to show my left hand which I'd been hiding from them all-day

My Moms eyes then widened as she beamed, "This is gorgeous!"

"It is, where'd you get it?!" My Father asked looking at my ring with the proudest smile on his face

"James Allen. I met with a jeweler after I made my mind up that I was going to pop the question and got it customized for her." Colton answered now smiling with them

"How much did you pay for it? That's huge!" Evie then asked causing me to send her a look

"Do I have to answer that?" Colton rebutted now laughing

"Do you wanna be accepted by the gays?" Theo asked

Colton then laughed harder and said, "I don't know whether you two are just nosey or want to know whether I'm treating your sister how I should."

"It's all of the above!" Theo snapped in response as Colton got up and grabbed a folder from that one kitchen drawer we'd put important paperwork in and sat back next to me pulling the receipt from the folder and handing it to them

"How'd you know we love a good ole solid piece of proof" Theo began to state before his eyes went wide and he yelled excitedly, "Girl he is in love! A ring like that and he ain't hit it yet...bihhh I'm tryna get like you!"

"That's it you two are in time out!" My Mom snapped at my brother and sister causing me and Nalen to laugh knowing this was coming sooner than later

"We are 17! Time out?" Theo argued

"I didn't even do nothing!" Evie then yelped

"17 doesn't mean you can't get your little narrow asses whooped!" My Mom then said causing me to turn and laugh uncontrollably in Colton's arms

"Look it ain't my fault that price tag had the ratchet jump completely from my body," Theo said now pouting

"Lord forgive them." My Dad then joked causing Colton to laugh

"Theo you are most likely being extra!" I said while still laughing

"Read the receipt Cinderella! You need to be doing more knee work for that man!" Evie then said causing me and Nalen's mouths to drop at the bluntness of her statement as Colton just laughed and my parents looked at each other puzzled at our current conversation

I then picked up the receipt and saw the cost of the ring was 17,000$ and the band was 4,000$. I quickly faced Colton and he smiled, "I did tell you I wanted to give you all and more than you needed."

As much as I hated to admit this but Evie was right.
