𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗦, 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗦

"We gotta go!" Dinah moaned as we made out in the driver's seat of my truck

How did we get here? I don't remember but when I parked in the parking lot of the restaurant I was supposed to be meeting her family at, she gave me that look that I warned her about and was in my arms next.

"Just like five more minutes..." I plead as I momentarily pulled away breathing heavily before I messily pressed my lips against hers once again before she could contest the matter

She then pulled away while biting her lip before saying, "No, you have a big problem you need to fix before you meet my Father and he kills you"

I then laughed and leaned back against the headrest of my seat gently running my tongue over my lips while looking at her through my eyelashes as she placed her palm on my chest and began to kiss my neck

"So you don't want the five minutes?" She asked as she lightly sucked my neck

"Five minutes is going to put me and you in the backseat and I don't think God will be too proud with what I'd do to you." I teased beginning to laugh causing her to laugh along with me

Every time I did the whole 'I don't think God would be proud of this or that' thing It'd make her laugh effortlessly because it not only let her know I was listening but that I was fully accepting her religion.

But, the longer I was with Dinah the more she brightened my soul and beliefs. She wasn't like a lot of so-called Christians, she wasn't judgmental in the slightest even when I explicitly stated I was an atheist and judged both her and her beliefs.

I was a complete asshole to her and didn't leave much room for her to show the type of person she is before I made judgement. And as much as I used to hate Christianity including the thought of following a set of rules from an unknown man deemed God in these stories, her faith is what I found myself falling in love with about her first.

"What if I want to get in the back seat?" She teased causing my eyebrow to raise before I said, "Your parents ask why you're walking side to side with a big smile you will not be blaming me."

Her phone then ringed causing her to pick it up seeing it was her Mom.

"Hey, Mommy!" She said sweetly

"Hey, baby. Me and your Father caught a nail on the highway so we're running a bit late..." Her Mom said before she stopped her speech and directed it to those on her end, "Thomas don't you dare touch that damn tire, and Evie and Theo stop recording and laughing at your Father please!" Dinah's Mom said causing me to laugh lowly

"I can fix it for them," I said causing Dinah to nod

"Okay, will you all calm down? Me and Colton will come and help you guys. Just get in the car and wait please." Dinah said

"Alright, I'll get Evie to send you our location and see you soon sweetie."

"Alright, Mom, love you."

"Love you too, sweetie."

Dinah then hung up the phone before chuckling causing me to smile at her, "Brother and Sister?" I asked while smirking

"Brothers and sister." She sighed empathizing the s on brothers

"Well, tell me where I'm headed, baby," I said as she slipped out of my lap getting into the passenger seat, and putting on her seatbelt

"Here." She replied before her phone began telling me the directions

𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗦, 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗦

"Yo, Dinah, I'm gayer than a Pride parade but Colton is hot." My sister said as me, my Mom and brother all sat in Colton's truck watching Colton change the tire while my Father and other brother, Nalen, watched him

"That man is fine as hell!" My little brother then said

"Just look at how his muscles clench when he lifts that tire" My Mom then said causing me to look at them all with a raised eyebrow

"Can you all stop fetishizing my Mushy?" I said as they continued staring at my fiancé like he was a piece of meat

"You get to sleep with him, we can look at him!" My Mom rebutted causing me to laugh

"As Miss Minaj said 'he got that boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom, boom, bass' " Theo then said

Colton, my Dad, and brother then made their way back over to the truck with his toolbox.

"Alright, the cars good you all," Colton said leaning into the driver's window

"Thank you, Colton." My Mom and Theo said with a little flirty smile causing me to shake my head and my Dad to look at my Mom like she was crazy

"No problem." He replied to them with a laugh before settling his eyes on me, "You okay beautiful?" He then asked me

"Yeah, just ready to eat," I replied

"Well, we need to detour home so I can freshen up." He said

"If you guys are fine with me cooking Dinner tonight I can do that and everyone can be comfortable because we have been on the road all day and we can go out another day since we will be here for a week." My Mom suggested

"No, you guys need some rest, me and Dinah can go get takeout while you all get comfortable and make yourselves at home." Colton insisted

"I agree son!" My Dad beamed

"Well then you guys go check into your hotel and we will meet back up with you all a little later." I then said as me, my Mom, brother, and sister began exiting Colton's truck

"Alright," My Mom and Dad said in agreement

"Thank you again, Colton." My Dad said reaching his hand out for Colton to shake which he did

My Mom then hugged him and said, "Yes, you're greatly appreciated."

I then hugged them all stating a quick 'bye' and 'I love you' though I was going to see them in the next hour.

"So did my Father and brother scare you?" I asked Colton with a laugh as we walked through the front door of our loft beginning to greet Max

"I'm a licensed killer nothing scares me." He rebutted with a laugh as he began unbuttoning his button-up

"That's not what you told me" I rebutted with a small smile as I shrugged my shoulders lifting myself onto the kitchen island

"Hmm, I wonder what I told you then." He replied coyly

"Oh, I don't know, something along the lines of your biggest fear was losing me," I replied as he walked between my legs before pressing a kiss against my lips

"If I can help it, I'll never lose you." He replied causing me to smile because I thought the same

I constantly prayed and wished I'd never have leave him because not only did he have my heart, he has my soul and spirit as well.
