"I need everyone out, like now! I'm sorry, but just go, please! Fuck!" Keziyah demanded, and her team was quick to gather their things and step out. Lewis rushed into the room, mumbling small apologies to the team before he shut the door. He ran over to Kez, catching her just as she was about to collapse. "Alright, just take a breath. Focus on me. You're gonna be okay." He soothed, lowering them to the ground in a more gentle manner compared to just falling.

For those confused, here's the story. Kaidyn got into a fight at school, and he was badly hurt. He won the fight, but he still got hurt in the process. They said he needed surgery, which was why Kaikara was on her way to the hospital the minute Kez got the call. Nobody was touching him until she got there and looked at his chart. She was also getting him transferred to her own hospital because she only trusted her own doctors.

"I knew I shouldn't have listened to him. I shouldn't have put him in public school. I'm gonna fucking kill Mike!" Kez exclaimed, going to get up but Lewis held her back down. "You're not going anywhere until you calm down." Lewis scoffed, causing her to frown as she went limp into his arms. "He's going to be okay. He needs his mum, and you need to be strong, and not angry."

Lewis pushed her forward so he could could zip up her dress, she didn't have time to take it all off so she was just gonna go like that. The Grammys was later in the night, so she would be able to make it back in time. She'd be a little late, but that didn't matter. Her kid was more important than a little trophy. "You want me to drive you?"

"No, I'll drive myself. You have to be here and cover for me." Kez sighed, and he helped pull her up, careful of her very expensive and custom dress.

"Keep me updated, okay? I love you." Lewis pressed a kiss to her head and she smiled softly.

"I will. I love you, too." Kez gave him a quick hug before she was pulling on her boots and rushing out the door.

Meanwhile, in the same hotel, Victoria was in her hotel room with her boyfriend, John Gaines. Their daughter Hazel was with her parents, because they wanted some alone time together. He had just returned, a confused expression on his face, "what's wrong, babe?" She questioned, taking his hands to urge him closer.

"I think I just seen Keziyah running down the hall in a dress that looks like it's worth a billion dollars," he explained.

"Really? I wonder what happened." Victoria frowned.

"Probably not that important anyways," he shrugged, moving to sit down next to her. "So, I ordered us some food, do you mind picking it up? It's just from the restaurant down the street." Victoria spoke, reaching for the restaurant card so he'd know where to go. "I just came back, babe," he groaned, running a hand down his face.

"I know, I'm sorry. It's just really quick. I'm super hungry. Also, you have to pick up Hazel from my parents because she's refusing to eat anything without me there." Victoria explained, pulling out her credit card from her wallet and handing it to him.

"Sure. I'll be back soon." John smiled tightly and she cheered, pressing a peck to his lips in thanks.

He walked out of the room, mumbling a small complaint under his breath as he got to the elevator. He got up to the floor his girlfriend's parents were staying and knocked on the door. They let him in and he found Hazel sitting on the bed with a permanent frown etched on her lips. Her little brows were scrunched up in frustration. She was not pleased. The pizza that sat in front of her was untouched and pushed away.

He picked her up, the unpleasant look still on her face all the way back to the elevator. They stepped inside and she didn't even offer to press the button. As the doors were closing, a voice called out, "shit, fuck, please hold it!" John quickly lifted his hand to hold the doors and the man sighed in relief and stepped inside. "Thanks, mate. 1st floor please." He requested, then his eyes wandered from the phone to realize that's where the guy was headed anyways.

He internally shrugged and went to look back at his phone, but the child staring at him was grabbing his attention. He smiled at her, her hand reaching for him, "hi, I'm Lewis. What's your name, princess?" He chuckled, taking her hand to shake it gently. John turned upon hearing the guy talk to his daughter. He obviously knew who this guy was, but that didn't mean he was a fan of him. "Oh, she doesn't-"

"Hazel." She smiled, a soft giggle leaving her as she stared at the man.

"Really? That's a beautiful name," Lewis grinned, a bit cocky about the baby breaking her angry face to smile at him. Especially when he could tell that Hazel's dad did not like him. "I see you on TV! You race car!" Hazel said, her eyes growing brighter as she giggled. "Yikes. You just blew my cover. I'm gonna get in trouble now for not wearing my disguise." Lewis said with faux seriousness.

"Mommy and Daddy don't like you," Hazel stated, and John's eyes widened, but Lewis wasn't mad about it.

"Really, now? Who's your mum? Is she pretty?" Lewis questioned, leaning against the wall with a knowing smirk. He knew exactly who's daughter this was. "Yes!" Hazel giggled, reaching for his hand and he lift it up so she could hold it with her two small hands. "Are you gonna be all dressed up? Being nominated is a big deal. You should be lookin' great the whole time." He said.

"I matching with Mommy!" Hazel said excitedly, holding his hand close to her, finding everything so warm and comforting about him. It made her feel safe.

"Then I bet you're going to blow everyone away because your mum is always looking incredibly gorgeous." Lewis said swiftly, giving her hand a small squeeze. "Your girlfriend so pretty!" She said, and he knew she was talking about Kez. A lot of kids confused them for a couple. "Thank you, but she's just my best friend. Do you have any best friends?" He asked, smoothly switching the subject.

"No," Hazel frowned, her eyes falling.

"Why not? You're so awesome!" Lewis said, bringing up her mood as she smiled.

"She's home schooled, so it's hard to make friends that way. But it's better that way." John explained shortly, and Lewis nodded, completely understanding the home school thing because Kez had the kids home schooled. But Victoria didn't look like the type to home school so he was gonna take a wild guess on who's idea it actually was. It wasn't hers.

"Well, what do you like to do? What are you good at? Everyone's good at something." Lewis said, moving off subject so she wouldn't feel sad when reminded of her lack of friends. "I can dance! And sing!" Hazel said with a proud smile. "Really? That's so cool! I can sing really good, too. But I'm a terrible dancer so maybe you could teach me a few things," he chuckled.

"Mommy can help you! She's a good dancer!" Hazel said, basically offering up her mother on a silver platter.

The elevator suddenly stopped and the doors opened, John went to leave but Hazel protested, holding onto Lewis's hand with all her might, "Lewis!" He smiled softly, "hey, don't worry, sweetheart. I promise we'll see each other again. Tell your mum, I said hi, for me?" He requested.

Hazel nodded, finally letting go of his hand as her dad told her to hurry up. "I will! Bye, Lewis!" She waved excitedly, only a little bit sad.

"Bye, Hazel!"

After retrieving the food, they went back to the hotel room. Victoria was just laying down on the bed when Hazel jumped onto the bed. "Mommy! Lewis says hi! Lewis says hi! He call me awesome! And he say you gorgeous!" She rambled excitedly. "What are you goin' on about? Who's Lewis?" Victoria chuckled, Hazel jumping around the bed.

"We uh, we ran into Lewis Hamilton in the elevator. He and Hazel got to talkin' and wow, I really hate that guy. He's always got that stupid smirk on his face." John said, pulling the trays out of the bag so they could eat. "Ugh, I know right? He acts like he's God. I bet he wanted to use Hazel to get my number like the dumb playboy he is." Victoria says, pulling open the trays so Hazel could pick out whatever she wanted to eat.

"I don't know how his head fits in that helmet," John scoffed, and reached for the sandwich until Hazel's hand slapped it away. "Mine!" She said, taking the tray of sandwiches for herself. Vic chuckled, "I knew you would pick those. You and that obsession with sandwiches." Hazel giggled, taking a bite from the sandwich with pure satisfaction. "They called sarmies!" She corrected matter of factly with pure sass.

"Right, my apologies! One trip to South Africa and you're fluent in African slang," Victoria expressed sarcastically, chuckling softly.

"Lewis can sing too!" Hazel added, leaving John to roll his eyes at another mention of the driver. What was her obsession with Lewis? He couldn't have been that likeable. "I know. He's got lots of songs with Keziyah. Wanna hear some?" She asked. Even if she didn't like the guy, she always wanted to make sure her daughter's interests were valued. And besides..she may or may not have been obsessed with the album.

"Yes!" Hazel cheered.

She smiled and clicked on one of her favorite songs from the album. It was the last track on the album. It was called Still I Rise.

It showed the footage of Abu Dhabi '21, and they used different metaphors throughout the video to show his pain, how the world was spinning out of control, how nothing felt right, how it felt to lose your light. And then it showed different metaphors, like how support from friends and family kept him going, or the acceptance, and then the recovery. Keziyah's soft vocals really helped elevate the song. But Victoria did take notice of the recovering stage finishing off the video unfinished. Which could've meant, he was still recovering.

"Another one," Hazel said, her small eyes gazing at the TV with a smile.

"Oh okay." Victoria went back and clicked another music video. This song was fifth on the track, and it was called Loyalty. It was all about Lewis and Keziyah's loyalty for each other, and went deep into detail about their friendship, all their ups and downs, all the challenges they faced together. It was one of the songs that blew up. Then again, the whole album blew up. It was crazy how much success they got from it.

She remembered the day it dropped. It was out of nowhere. There was no teasing, or hints leading up to it. They just sent out two tweets and it was worldwide within minutes. It was pure artistry. It was multiple different genres all mixed up throughout the album. Everything written came from them, and the artists featured on the album. The features were crazy as well. They had Beyoncรฉ, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Megan Thee Stallion, Tems, Usher, Cardi B, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Raye, and more. It was a very long album as well, and that's why it was so good. Everyone had a song that they'd enjoy.

It may have been one of her favorite albums of all time.

Hazel hummed along to the song, a relaxed smile on her face. The only song Vic skipped was called I'm Yours, and it was a very explicit song. Which was incredibly obvious because it was The Weeknd, XNDA, and Keziyah all on the same track. Victoria really loved the song, but it was not something that her child needed to be listening to. Otherwise the other ones were safe to play.

There was a total of 21 tracks.
Each one had meaning.
Let's get into the album real quick!

1. Awoken - the song centered around their love for music, and how it impacted their lives for the better

2. Exchange - this song was about love, regrets, hurtful exchange, and acceptance. Half of it went deep into Lewis's relationship with Nicole, where he admitted to his mistakes, but also accepted that it wasn't meant to be. The other half portrayed Keziyah's relationship with her ex husband Will Poulter.

3. Shine (feat. SZA) - this song centered around physical craving for someone who just speaks to you. You can tell it was mostly about Keziyah's personal experiences, but also a little of relation from Lewis.

4. On The Radio - this song was about the pain you get when you're nostalgic about an relationship that ended badly with lots of regrets. It was like a sad song on the radio.

5. Loyalty - this song was all about Lewis and Keziyah's loyalty for each other, and went deep into detail about their friendship, all their ups and downs, all the challenges they faced together and how they would never leave each other's side.

6. Poetry (feat. Kendrick Lamar) - this song was specifically about Lewis. It was about the feeling of winning, of being a champion, all the pressure he had to be the very best, but also how poetic it all was that he was greatest at a predominantly white man's sport. Kendrick and Kez helped him capture the meaning perfectly with their outside perspectives.

7. Escapism (feat. Raye) - this song centered around restless nights, alcohol abuse, irresponsible use of drugs, and endless nights at the club to escape your problems.

8. Me U & Hennessey (feat. Lil Wayne) - what the song title says.

9. We Are Loved - a hit song where they sampled the iconic Bob Marley & The Wailers 'Could You Be Loved'

10. Roll It Up (feat. Beyoncรฉ & Jay-Z) - a song that would make you think of 7/11, Partition, or Drunk In Love.

11. I'm Yours (feat. The Weeknd) - this is an explicit song about letting your SO do what they want to you because 'I'm Yours.' Which was incredibly obvious because it was The Weeknd, XNDA, and Keziyah all on the same track.

12. Free Our Minds (feat. Tems) - this song discussed their personal battles with mental health.

13. Pipe (feat. Christina Aguilera) - this was a song where they sampled the original 'Pipe' song and this time, Lewis was rapping and Kez was singing. They kept some parts of the original song, which was why Christina was in the credits.

14. Come Through - basically what the title says- waiting for that one person you like to come through for you

15. Hit My Line (feat. USHER) - a song about longing for someone and waiting nights and nights waiting for them to hit your line.

16. You're A Star - a song where they sung their praise for each other. This was also the song that had people questioning if it was just friendship.

17. Piรฑa Colada (feat. Cardi B & Bad Bunny) - a song about partying on an island sipping piรฑa colada, just overall really fun vibes.

18. Fuck Outta Here (feat. Kendrick Lamar & Future) - to sum this one up, it was basically a diss track towards people who did them wrong or bitches they just didn't fuck with *cough cough* Dr*ke.

19. Hey Mama (feat. Megan Thee Stallion) - a song about your mum being your best friend

20. What's Up Bullet (feat. Ludacris) - to sum it up; just a fun song for a cool music video where Lewis and Ludacris were in a street race and the winner got Keziyah. All because they may have wanted to live their dreams of what's it's like to be in Fast & Furious.

21. Still I Rise - this song was about pain, betrayal, rage, confusion, loss of faith, support, love, acceptance, and recovery...or lack of. It discussed everything Lewis went through from Abu Dhabi '21 to after it.

...and that's the end.

Oh, and did I forget to mention the album name?

Oh well.

"I'm here, sorry! I'm here! He woke up!" Kez cheered, running over to her best friend. Lewis grinned, spinning her around, "that's so good! I'm glad he's okay." She nodded, pulling away and doing their little handshake. "Has anyone annoyed you yet?" Kez mused, hooking her arm with his as Neela led them down the carpet. "Uh yes, this one girl would not stop talking. Neela had to come save me, and to top it off, she had the worst breath ever." Lewis answered.

"That's gross. If you're going to an event where you talk to people, at least have the decency to brush your teeth." Kez said, and he chuckled, nodding in agreement. "I have to tell you all about this interaction I had in the elevator this morning. I ran into Victoria's daughter and boyfriend. I don't think he liked me very much, but Hazel was incredibly sweet to me."

"Really? She sounds adorable. What'd you do to piss the boyfriend off?" She queried, the two waiting for a line to clear up so they could get past. These events always got so crowded. "I don't know. He hated me before we were in an elevator together. But, I may have called his girlfriend gorgeous, so I don't think that helped the case." Lewis chuckled, and Kez cracked a laugh, because of course he had to compliment someone else's girl when their man was standing right in front of him. He really gave no fucks.

They went the carpet, getting pictures together before they did some singles. Kez was doing some interviews as Lewis finished up. And a few ways over, Victoria Monรฉt stood with an interviewer, bending down to set Hazel down upon her request. "Stay by me." She instructed, holding onto Hazel's hand. She tuned back into what she was doing and got so lost into the conversation, she didn't feel Hazel slid her hand out of hers and run off.

Lewis returned to Kezie's side, holding her hand as she was finishing up an interview. He knew how overwhelmed she could get with all this attention. "Lewis, you just won Songwriter of the Year!" Kez exclaimed, turning to him with wide eyes. "That's not funny, Kez," Lewis scoffed, shooting her an annoyed look.

"Fuck you. I'm being serious! They just announced it." Kez cackled.

"What the fuck?" Lewis ran a hand over his mouth, it wasn't his first award, but it was the first Grammy he won purely on his own.

He won three more before he even got to the venue. One of them was Best Traditional R&B Performance, that himself and Kez won for Still I Rise. They were close to winning Best R&B Album, but that ended up going to Victoria Monรฉt. They weren't mad about it. Theirs wasn't R&B focused anyways. The second one he was awarded with was Best Rap Performance for Loyalty, with Keziyah. The third one was Best Rap Song for Poetry featuring Kendrick Lamar.

Kez had won four before arriving to the carpet. Three of them with Lewis for Still I Rise, Loyalty, Poetry, and the fourth one was Producer of the Year. She had been awarded with that for several other projects, not just for the album with Lewis. It was very flattering for her third time winning that award. They basically had eight in total and the show hadn't even started yet. Kez was close to passing up Beyoncรฉ's most Grammys wins record.

"I'm so proud of you, man." Kez grinned, pulling him into hug as he processed his shock.

"Lewis!" He pulled away from Kez, feeling a small hang tugging on the leg of his trousers. Hazel smiled up at him, everyone confused about this because as far as they knew, Lewis and Victoria had never met. "You found me. How'd you find me?" He laughed, picking up so she didn't get lost in the crowd of people. "Who's child is this?" Kez frowned in confusion. "That's Victoria Monรฉt's daughter," a reporter added to clear up the singer's confusion.

"Where's your mum, babygirl?" Kez asked, alarmed by seeing the child all be herself.

Hazel just shrugged in response, laying her head on Lewis's shoulder. "We need to find her mother," Kez says, setting a hand on his back as he nodded in agreement. Neela led them away from the interviews so they could locate the child's parents. "You like my dress?" Hazel asked him, looking for approval because he seemed to have good fashion sense like his mum.

"Of course I do! You look awesome! Just like a princess." Lewis said, making her smile widely.

"Mommy look so pretty too!" Hazel said with a proud smile.

"Really? You wanna tell me where she is so I can tell her how pretty she is in person?" Lewis asked, trying to get her to tell him where the hell her mum was because this looked a bit strange considering he and Victoria had never met before. "No." Hazel shook her head, smiling and laying her head in his shoulder which was only covered by a designer jacket.

"Hey, what are you doing with my daughter man?" A shoulder pulled him back but it was quickly pushed off by his security. "Relax, mate. I just found her. You should keep a better eye on her." Lewis said, and John quickly took Hazel back in his arms, much to her dismay because she wanted to stay with him and Kez longer. "I wasn't the one watching her. Where's your mom?" John asked, looking to Hazel.

She just shrugged her small shoulder and he huffed in frustration. "Let's go find her before she panics."

"Bye, Lewis!" Hazel smiled, waving at him as her dad took her away.

"Bye, sweetheart," he smiled, waving her goodbye, Kez just blowing her a little kiss.

"She's adorable. But I can tell he's insufferable." Kez comments, putting her arm around him as they were led down the carpet. "I don't know what she sees in him," Lewis added, the two following their team who were leading them inside the venue. "I'm gonna go say hi to Taylor," Kez smirked. Lewis gave her a pointed look because he knew the history there and the fact that Taylor had a boyfriend, "you really think that's a good idea?"

"She's a challenge. I like challenges. It's a perfect mix." Kez smiled, patting his shoulder before venturing off to Taylor Swift. He rolled his eyes, following Neela who was searching for their table. He knew many people in the industry and he'd been to many award shows to support Kez, but now that he was here because he was nominated, made it feel like new territory.

"I have to find Kaylen, but it's the table right there. You have your name on the card in front of your seat." Neela explained before moving through the guests to locate Kaylen.

Lewis made his way over to the table, he peered over the woman in the brown dress, spotting his name on the card in front of her. He leaned down to her ear, causing her words to cease as his breath fanned over her ear. "Sorry to bother, darling, but you're in my seat." He spoke. Victoria glanced up at him, their faces just inches apart, and she scoffed, "no, I'm not."

"Yes, you are," he retorts, gesturing to the card on the table.

Victoria rolled her eyes and grabbed the card, switching it with hers. "No, I'm not."

Lewis scoffed in disbelief, and then he noticed why she wanted to sit in that seat. It was right next to her boyfriend. He pulled out the chair next to her, the chair her boyfriend was placed at. He switched the cards, and turned to her with a smug look. "Keep it. I like this placement much better. You look great from this angle." He smirked, giving her a cocky wink.

Victoria clenched her jaw and switched the cards back, then grabbed hers and swapped it with his. She took back her original seat which had trapped her right between Lewis and Keziyah. "You're so annoying," she muttered, leaning back in her chair, hoping her family got there to save her from a conversation with him. Lewis smiled, moving back into his spot, loving that he was the thing keeping her and her boyfriend apart.

"Well, if you weren't such a brat, I wouldn't have had to do that," he shrugged, taking a sip from the glass of water poured just a few seconds ago.

"Oh hell no. I know you did not just call me a brat. As if you ain't known for acting like a cocky bitch." She shot back with a mouth full of attitude. "Cocky? Do you know who I am? I have every right to be cocky," he defended with an arrogant scoff. "Oh my God, do you hear yourself? Unbelievable. I was so right about you." Victoria rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her champagne, growing impatient with him.

"Really? What exactly were you right about?" He smiled, tilting his head to show more interest.

"That you're nothing but another cocky athlete who thinks he can get whatever he wants because he's got a few fancy trophys with a hot body." Victoria shrugged nonchalantly, giving him a very judging look because she knew many of his habits. "Except I can get whatever I want. I can get whoever I want. And if you hate those trophys so much, I could always fuck you against the case to change your mind." He smirked, the idea of that making him feel some kinda way.ย

Ignoring the feeling in her stomach, she shot him a disgusted look. "Ugh, in your dreams, dude."

"You're trying way too hard to hate me, so much that I find it kinda hot. I love a woman with dedication." Lewis grinned, subtly looking her body up and down with a lustful eyes. Victoria glared at him, hating how cocky he acted. "Is your ego so big that you can't imagine people actually hating your guts? I seriously hate you, and I don't even have to try because you're so fucking infuriating. I really hope you never win again, and I hope Ferrari disappoints you."

"Ouch. That hurt." Lewis holds a hand over his heart sarcastically, feigning fuax sadness.

She rolled her eyes, turning away from him but he just hooked his leg around the chair leg and pulled her back towards him. "Could you stop that? I don't want to be anywhere near you. You're so lucky my boyfriend's not here." She argued, but he got a little cocky when she didn't make an effort to move her chair away. "What if he was here? I bet you'd still let me flirt with you. I'm so much better than him. I could treat you so fucking good darling." He spoke softly with flirtatious eyes.

Her breath hitched, and she hated how his words were making her feel. But she wasn't about to let him think he had power over her. "Go find a different home to wreck, because you're not getting anywhere with me. I'm not one of your fangirls who drools at the sight of you."

He smiled, leaning closer to her and she subconsciously breathed his scent in. Why did he have to smell so fucking good? Who gave this man the right? "It's funny how you talk about not being a fangirl, yet I'm the only driver you find yourself paying attention to. It sounds like you're a fan. I bet you are one. You know my stats quite for someone who hates me. I gotta say, this enemies to lovers usually isn't my thing, but there's something so sexy about you hating me."

"Don't you ever get tired of acting like a desperate whore?" Victoria deadpanned, her hand pressing against his chest and pushing him away from her.

"Not really, no." He replied, shrugging a nonchalant shoulder.

"You're insufferable." She groaned, moving her chair back in his original place and sighing in relief when her parents joined the table. "Lewis Hamilton. Nice to meet you." He spoke politely, reaching over to shake their hands. Vic rolled her eyes, her parents falling for his nice act. "Lewis!" Hazel cheered, spotting the table as her dad carried her over.

He chuckled softly and John took the seat next to Lewis, a bit confused about the seating placements because he remembered Victoria making it clear they were supposed to sit together. She didn't even know Keziyah's family would be sitting next to hers. If she had known, she probably would've asked to keep Lewis far away from her. She didn't have much of a problem with Kez, but that energy was never shared with Lewis. She desired- I mean, she despised him.

Hazel reached for him but John held her back, which made sense because he didn't know this man like that. She didn't understand that yet though. "That was divine." They glanced up upon Keziyah's arrival, she had licked something off her thumb as she sat down in her seat next to Victoria. "What now?" Lewis questioned in Xhosa, so only them two understood. "You mean, "who now?" Because I'd love to tell you, but we have an audience." She replied, gesturing to the eyes on them, which had them all looking away. Not Hazel though. She was fascinated by the language.

"They don't know Xhosa," Lewis scoffed.

"So what? It's rude. They think we're gossiping about them," Kez rolled her eyes, leaning back into the chair.

"I don't care. Tell me who you just hooked up with and how?" Lewis questioned, not believing she had done that so quickly.

"The chocolate fountain. Love of my life," she grinned, and he groaned in annoyance. Of course she'd make him think of someone else. But then again, he also just assumed it. "You're such a bitch," he rolled his eyes, grabbing one of the grapes and throwing it at her but she swiftly caught it in her mouth. He huffed, of course she'd do that. When did she not do that? "I hate when you do that."

"Really? I find the ladies like it. It's shows how good I am with my mouth," Kez smirked, her tongue licking the front of her teeth.

"You're disgusting." He laughed, flipping her off and she chuckled.

She turned back towards the guests, awkwardly clearing her throat. She had never been more thankful for Kaylen. He arrived just in time, plopping down on one of the chairs with a grin, "hello everyone." He greeted Victoria's family before leaning over to greet her as well. She shook his hand with a kind smile, "hey, I'm a big fan. Last year was incredible. You're first world championship win had me so emotional. I was a mess."

"Really? Thank you so much. I'm hoping for a 2nd this year. That's the goal." Kaylen grinned, and Lewis glanced between the two with pure confusion. "So, you like him but not me?" He scoffed in disbelief. "I don't like guys with big egos. Kaylen is constantly humble. He's a good role model." Victoria defended, causing Kez to snort, which made Kaylen hit her arm.

"Role model?" Lewis scoffed, and Kaylen gave an offended look.

"I like Lewis," Hazel added in defense of him, shooting her mum a little glare.

Neela leaned down by Keziyah's ear, "someone wants to meet you." Kez glanced up at her, "who is it?" She questioned, because there was many artists she had no interest in meeting. Some of them she just had zero respect for. "Uh, I believe she's named after a drink or spice." Neela shrugged. Kez chuckled and stood up, quickly excusing herself.

Hazel jumped out of her dad's arms to go over to her mother. Victoria smiled, picking her up and Hazel immediately reached for Lewis's hand on the table, smiling in awe at the shiny jewelry he wore. "So, are you excited for your last season with Mercedes, Lewis?" Her step-dad asked, trying to make some conversation like always.

"I am, yes. I want to have the best last season I can with them." Lewis answered honestly.

"You no drive no more?" Hazel asked, her eyes falling with sadness, tears building up in her eyes. "Hey, no, no, I'm not stopping. I'm just going to a different team next year, princess. Do you know what a Ferrari is?" Hazel immediately nods, remembering her mum going on and on about wanting a Ferrari. "Yes! Mommy like Ferrari. Right, Mom?" Hazel turned to her mum with bright eyes and it made her happy to see her daughter so excited about something, even if it was driving fast cars at 300mph.

"I do. I wanted to get a custom one." Victoria confirmed, rubbing her daughter's back as Hazel his hand excitedly.

"Really? What kind?" Lewis questioned, finding it hard to believe that she knew much about cars. It was simply because he had never seen her in any type of car that wasn't rented. "Uhh, I'm not sure yet. I don't know much about cars. I barely know how to drive." Victoria answered, chuckling awkwardly because it felt embarrassing to admit that to someone who drives fast cars for a livING.

"I could always give you some lessons," Lewis proposed, and Hazel's eyes brightened, whilst her dad did not look pleased with this.

"She good. She don't need to drive. That's why she got me." John input before Victoria could speak for herself. Kaylen and Lewis both shared a look before the silence was broken when Kez appeared. She plopped back into her seat and smiled, "everyone is so nice here it feels unnatural."

Lewis chuckled, "that's because everyone is scared of you."

"They act like I'm gonna go up and punch them." Kez scoffed, taking a sip of her champagne, she noticed Hazel staring at her. "Did you need something, babygirl?" She smiled. "Can I have?" Hazel asked, pointing to the keffiyeh the singer wore. "Haze, you can't just ask for people's things," Vic scolded. "It's okay, she can have it," Kez shrugged, pulling it off and leaning over to put it around Hazel's shoulders.

"This is a keffiyeh. It's originates from the beautiful country called Palestine, and it's a symbol of their nationalism. When you wear it, you are showing your solidarity for the Palestinian people. It's super important so make sure you take good care of it, okay?" Kez spoke, making sure it wouldn't fall off. She was extremely vocal about her support for Palestine and all the oppressed. Another reason so many people loved her. She was always on the right side of history.

"Thank you!" Hazel smiled, leaning forward to hug the woman as the others smiled at the sweet interaction.

They all chatted for a bit before the award show got started. Hazel had moved back to her dad but still leaned against the table to set her hand over Lewis's. On a commercial break, Beyoncรฉ came over to their table to see Kez, throwing her arms around the woman's neck. "You really gotta warn me before you grab me like that," Kez chuckled, getting up to properly hug the woman.

"You look beautiful," Bey expressed, staring at the woman's outfit in shock.

"Thank you, and you look like you don't wanna be here," Kez joked, pressing a kiss to Beyoncรฉ's cheek. "How's your baby boy doin'? We wanted to go visit him after this, if that's okay with you." She said. "That's perfectly fine with me. I'll go with y'all. I'm heading out right after they announce Album Of The Year." Kez said, very glad Bey cared that much to want to go see him.

"Oh yes, I hope you both win tonight. You deserve it." Beyoncรฉ smiled, setting her hand on Kezie's back.

"Lew, get up. Let's get a picture." Kez spoke, pulling him away from his conversation with Victoria's parents. He nodded, and got up going on Beyoncรฉ's other side. His hands remained behind his back as they took the picture. "Jay wants to talk with you by the way. He's over there." Bey said towards Lewis. "Oh, okay. I'll go over." He smiled, excusing himself to go and see Jay-Z.

"Hey, Victoria, you wanna get a picture?" Kez asked, leaning down so the woman heard her over the loudness because everyone had been lining up to take a picture with Beyoncรฉ. It was very noted when she went to see Keziyah before acknowledging anyone else. "Oh, yes, definitely. Thank you so much." Victoria smiled excitedly, getting up from her chair. They got a group picture first before Kez excused herself to go check on Blue Ivy.

"You havin' fun?" Kez plopped down in the chair next to the girl.

Blue turned to her with a bright smile, quick to pull the woman into a hug. "Is Kamari here?" She asked with hopeful eyes because Mari could make any boring event fun. "No, I'm sorry. Basketball is taking up lots of her time. But if your mum is okay with it, I can always take you to see her." Kez said. Blue smiled, but then frowned upon realizing her mom would probably not allow that if she asked. "Uh...could you ask her for me? She always listens to you!"

"Fine, I will ask. Just because I know how much you miss her." Kez chuckled, pressing a kiss to the girl's head.

"Thank you!" Blue grinned, pulling her into another hug.

Kez stood up soon and shook hands with Jay-Z before moving back to her table, stopping to take pictures with people on the way back. The show continued as Lewis and Kez both barely made it back to their seats. More awards were passed out, and they had some performances as well. They asked Kez and Lewis to perform tonight but they had declined because they didn't want to spend his winter break rehearsing for it. They just agreed to be there.

It was getting late into the show, and they were now announcing the winner of Best New Artist. The nominees were, Gracie Abrams, Fred again.., Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Coco Jones, Noah Kahan, The War And Treaty, and Victoria Monรฉt. "...and the Grammy goes to, Victoria Monรฉt!" The crowd erupted in applause for her.

She stood up, overwhelmed with emotions, "could you?" She stuck her hand out to Lewis and he immediately got up and took it. He escorted her up the stairs to ensure she wouldn't trip on her dress. "Thank you." She smiled warmly and he nodded, making his way back to his seat. Her team joined her up on the stage and last year's winner Samara Joy, gladly presented her the Grammy.

"Woo! Oh, my God. Thank you guys so much. Thank you to the champagne servers tonight. That's my first, thank you. Thank you to the recording academy, voting members, this is because of you guys. You guys pressed that button, you were in your emails. Thank you so much. Thank you to my mom. A single mom raising this really bad girl. Thank you so much. I just want to say to everybody who has a dream, I want you to look at this as an example. Thank you, God."

She sniffles, dabbing her eye gently as the crowd applauded. "This award was a 15-year pursuit. I moved to LA in 2009, and I like to alike myself to a plant who was planted, and you can look at the music industry as soil. And it can be looked at as dirty or it can be looked at as a source of nutrients and water, and my roots have been growing underneath ground, unseen for so long. And I feel like today, I am sprouting, finally above ground. So I would like to thank my team of visionaries who could see through that soil. Rachelle, thank you so much."

"I just want to tell a small story. I know that this slot is like one minute so I'll hurry up. Um, there was a binder that I made to take this really important meeting at a label, and I thought I was gonna be signed. I was an independent artist with no team, and I just thought maybe my music would stand for itself, but that binder left collecting dust in an office at a label, and Rachelle found that binder, and she decided to take a chance, leave that label and be my manager. So, thank you so much for seeing me. Thank you."

"I'd like to thank all of the other nominees in the category because best is subjective, right? We voted for it, and I think we are all the best. But when you look at what best means, introspectively, I like to say that, that is what rings true." She paused for a quick second when the music starting slowly playing, basically signaling her to wrap it up. Kez withheld the urge to roll her eyes because they once did that to her and she didn't show up to another show for two years until she got an apology.

"The music, we got the music. Let me just make a song. Um, that's what rings true. And we are all the best versions of ourselves tonight. Thank you to the recording academy, and every collaborator. Thank you everyone! If I know you, thank you!" Victoria chuckled, everyone on their feet applauding her.

Soon enough, the show was almost at it's end and Victoria was back at the table excited to see the winner for Album Of The Year. She wasn't nominated in this category because it was mostly reserved for the bigger artists like Keziyah, Beyoncรฉ, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, etc. The nominees for the category were, Taylor Swift (Midnights), SZA (SOS), Olivia Rodrigo (GUTS), Miley Cyrus (Endless Summer Vacation), Jon Baptiste (World Music Radio), boy genius (the record), Janelle Monae (The Age Of Pleasure), Lana Del Rey (Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd), and Keziyah & XNDA.

"..and the Grammy goes to.." Celine Dion opened up the envelope, a warm smile resting on her lips upon reading the names. "Keziyah and XNDA."

Lewis's eyes genuinely widened in shock, not expecting to win. Keziyah grinned excitedly, standing up from her seat and hugging Kaylen first since he was closest. She shared an embrace with Neela next before going to pull Lewis out of his seat, the latter still a bit lost and confused. It was hard to think when your song was playing and the crowd was cheering loudly. It felt nothing like a race win.

Kez pulled him from his shock when she pulled him into a hug. "I love you so much," she whispered into his ear for only him to hear. "I love you, too." Lewis smiled, pressing a kiss to her cheek. He took her hand and helped her up the stairs. Keziyah carefully took the Grammy from Celine and handed it to Lewis. "Can I hug you?" She asked, very aware of Celine's condition. "Of course, you can. Congratulations." She smiled, accepting the gentle embrace from the tall woman.

Lewis asked next before sharing a gentle embrace with the woman, only silently freaking out. He held the Grammy and stood next to Keziyah who had blown a kiss to Taylor. "If I'm being completely honest, we did not plan speeches at all. I know, we'll probably regret it later." Kez spoke, gaining some laughs from the audience.

"But, as usual, I prefer to speak from the heart as my father taught me. This album will forever be one of the best projects I ever worked on, and that is because it's made with love. When Lewis first approached me with the idea, I was a bit on the edge at first because I never made an album without my entire team. Everyone was a bit against the idea, but I had faith in my best friend and if he believed we could pull it off, then I knew we could. It took three years putting it together, and it feels so refreshing to see it get so much love and support."

"I want to thank my mum, and my father who continuously believe in me and support me no matter what. I love you so much. I want to thank my God parents as well, they have always been there and treated me like a daughter. I love you guys so much. And my brilliant manager Neela, you have been by my side since I was a dumb 16 year old girl who didn't know a thing about this industry. I love you." Kez smiled, blowing her a kiss.

She glanced to her best friend, "and of course I have to thank Lewis. I would not be the person I am today without his influence. He's been writing songs with me for years and is truly one of my keys to success. He's so much more than my best friend. I love you, man." He smiled, and she backed away a bit for him to speak.

"That's gonna be hard to follow up, but I'll do my best. Uh, wow, when I thought of this album concept, I didn't expect it to be where it is right now. This album is three years of blood, sweat, and tears from both of us. I remember the idea came to me after I suffering a huge loss in my other career, and I was committed to making this work. I wasn't accepting 'no' for an answer. And ironically this album helped me realize my worth, and make one of the best decisions in my career, I feel." He spoke, and it didn't take a genius to know he was referring to his move to Ferrari. They also noted his reference to Abu Dhabi '21.

"I want to thank my dad, and my mums, for being some of my biggest supporters, as well as my Godparents, Jae and Kaikara. I love you guys so much, you got no idea. We want to thank the academy for choosing this album. We thank everyone who collaborated with us. We give huge praise to everyone in this category, you are all so amazing and brilliant. Huge congratulations to all the winners tonight, it's all very well deserved. Let's give a round of applause for them, seriously." Kez smiled at his kindness and the audience did listen and give a round of applause out of respect for the winners and nominees.

"Finally, I want to thank my best friend, Keziyah Kumalo. She's been there through everything, from my very best moments to my very worst. We've got through so much together. I would not be the person I am today without her. She introduced me to music, and inspired me to make my own- of course I would always back out because I wasn't sure what kind of reaction I would get. But this album helped us bond in so many ways we hadn't before. I've got to work with so many people I idolized and she's the reason for that. So, thank you, Kez. I love you so, so much."

She smiled brightly, tears threatening to fall as she came back over to share the mic with him. "Thank you to our fans and just everyone who supported us. Still We Rise." They spoke into the microphone simultaneously, finishing off with their album name like they planned. They turned and did their special handshake before making their way backstage.

"I'm so proud of you," Kez grinned, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

He smiled, putting an arm around her, "you comin' to the after party?"

"Nah, I'm gonna skip this one. You enjoy it though."
