EXTENDED SUMMARY...

Amara Kim was a born winner. Every move she made led her to victory. Every path she took crowned her champion. She was good at being the best, and, with that, came the right choices to lead her to those successes. Amara knew exactly what to expect in life—she knew, in the back of her mind, like it was clear as day, just what to do to be victorious.

So why didn't she see the breakup coming?

Jason Grace and Amara Kim were over. They had been for months. So why was she still missing him?

Jason was gone and things were changing. They were done. Maybe if she kept repeating that, she'd finally mean it.

She knew he'd meant it when he asked for a break, so why was she so heartbroken now, months later, when he showed up back in camp with what Amara could only assume was a new girlfriend?

Maybe she still needed the closure. Or maybe, she just needed a moment to breathe, and realize she and Jason weren't meant to be together, at least not when they were. Things ended for a reason after all, she could totally move on.

But how was she supposed to when every little thing reminded her of him?

also pls keep in mind that amara's character is like growing a lot — she got broken up with and then like really close after that, jason disappeared so she never got the time to get that closure with him... instead of this being focused on like omg he has a gf she's jealous it's more like she's upset because they never really talked it out, if that makes sense?

amara's whole first arc is like focused on her reflecting on how everything went downhill so fast and how she needs to finally get that closure with jason and at the same time it's kind of the story of how she has to learn that losing is ok too

anyways... i'm so excited for u all to meet amara i love her sm <3

i think every aphrodite/venus kid is at least a little fruity and i WILL be putting it into action in my fics... like come on look at their mom.
