Mia awoke with a sharp gasp, her cheek pressed against hard concrete as the cold wind gusted over her, distressing what felt like every nerve in her body. She sat upright and leant against the brick wall, taking in her surroundings.

The memories of what'd occurred came rushing back, Mariano and Santiago had attacked her, but to Mia, the worst thing was that they'd killed her before continuing. She couldn't find a word that would measure up to the amount of discomfort she felt. It left her completely unaware as to what was done to her, how she was violated. The only tales told were by the evidence left on her body.

She glanced down at her knees that were plastered with blood and shivered at the feeling of crimson liquid trickling down her chest, starting from her neck. Bringing a hand to its origin, she let out a shaky breath upon detecting that the wound was closed as were the ones residing on her legs.

All she felt was a sudden urge to cry, to scream. To do anything that would lift the heavy weight crushing her heart. They'd just discarded her in a backstreet, abandoning her as if she lacked meaning, importance. Her entire body ached, but there was also an unfamiliar feeling overwhelming her senses.

Footsteps echoed down the alley, belonging to a duo of men, "Hey, Johnny. Look." The shorter man nudged his peer. "It's the perky, little broad from the bar."

Johnny's eyes fell to Mia on the floor, "Well, look what we have here." He leered, moving closer. Mia clambered up from the ground, her body trembling as she looked for a way to escape. "What you doing here all on your lonesome?"

"Please, just stay away." Mia begged, her voice faint from exhaustion, taking steps back until she was eventually backed into a corner. "I don't want any trouble."

"Trouble? We're not causing trouble, are we Lenny?" Johnny looked back at his friend, who suddenly seemed to be uncomfortable with the situation, and gave a warning look.

"No, there's no trouble here." Lenny responded, swaying on his feet. "We just want to have fun."

"Exactly, just some fun. You like fun don't you, honey?" Johnny asked the fearful girl.

"I want to go home." She whimpered slightly. It'd been a long time since she loved somewhere enough to call it home. Living with the Fells in Mystic Falls was the furthest thing from that, she constantly felt out of place and unwanted.

But with the Mikaelsons it was different, she was loved and appreciated. She had people who treated her with the kindness and care she'd yearned for. They'd become her home, her sanctuary, her safe place.

"We can take you home. Help get you cleaned up." Johnny took a few steps closer, "Pretty girls like you shouldn't be covered in blood, it's a nasty sight."

"No, I'll have to decline." Mia moved forward but the man blocked her way, "I just want to go."

"Come on, I'm asking nicely." He placed a hand on her waist which caused a sudden rage to flare up in the girl. She couldn't understand why these men were acting in such a manner, having never experienced it before.

It wasn't like this with the other men she knew, Jesse was kind and sensitive. He adored Mia and treated her as if she was the most important thing, always putting her needs before his own. Her relationship with Klaus was similar to that however his affection wasn't platonic. Despite that he'd never made her feel uncomfortable in his company.

"I said no!" Mia shrieked, pushing the man away. The force was so strong it sent him shooting forward, causing his head to slam against the brick wall. She gaped down at her hands, surprised by her own strength.

"You heinous tramp!" Lenny yelled, "I'm going to tell everyone." He took off in a run down the alley as Mia stared helplessly. She started sprinting after him and was caught off guard when she darted forward expeditiously, her neck craned backwards and her face stung due to the harsh air whacking across it.

"What the heck?" Lenny gasped, astonished by the speed in which she'd reached him. "What are you?"

She stood in front of the man, obstructing his path, "You can't tell anyone." Her hands quivered so she took deep breaths to control it when suddenly a noise buzzed in her ear. Mia listened in attentively, only to come to the realisation that it was Lenny's heartbeat, she could hear his pulse as clear as music. Every thump caused an urge in her to strengthen as a strong scent captivated her.

Her eyes became trained on his neck, watching the fall and rise to the skin as he breathed. A throbbing pain kneaded at her gums, she winced upon feeling her upper canine teeth extend and prick her bottom lip. An indescribable surge rushed through as dark veins came to the surface of the skin under her eyes. "W- What's going on?" Lenny stuttered, staring at what he believed to be a devil.

"I haven't the faintest idea." Mia whispered as the hunger overtook her, "But I'm not sure I want it to stop." She charged at the man, holding him down by his shoulders and pierced her teeth into his carotid artery. The warm, coppery like liquid gushed into her mouth as she devoured each drop. Savouring every second until the flow stopped and he fell through her arms, onto the ground.

Mia exhaled loudly, blood dripped from her mouth, down her chin and neck. The state of euphoria she was in was unlike any other, however it immediately dispersed when she noticed the humming of the man's heart had stopped. "Sir?" She knelt beside him, nudging him gently. "Sir, can you wake up please?"

She shook his body harshly, her eyes stung with tears. "Excuse me, you can't sleep on the floor. You'll get an awful back ache. Sir?" Sobs raked though her body when she realised what'd happened, what she'd done. "No, please. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

Despite her attempts, she was unable to cease the tears, "Um you wait here, I need to check on your friend. I'll return shortly, okay?" Mia made her way to Johnny, who's head had been indented, surrounded by a pool of blood. She tried to catch his pulse but was unable to hear anything. "What have I done?" Silence had never sounded so lethal to her than it had then.

"I'm so sorry." She dropped to her knees, wailing then pulled the man closer to her, cradling his head. "I'm a monster."

"All I'm saying is, it's rather strange that they're both called Thomas." Klaus stated. "First Wickenstation and now our local bartender. Never let it be said that you have a type." He mused sarcastically.

"I'll have you know that there is absolutely nothing romantic occurring between myself and Thomas, Tommy or whatever he likes to call himself." Rebekah retorted, playing with her pearls. "And Thomas Wickenstead moved to the countryside with his burden of a mother. Besides he was a bore."

"Mia was right." Klaus chuckled, only then did he realise. He looked over at the clock and saw that it'd been almost an hour since the Petrova had been gone. He shot up from his chair, speeding to the door. Once he'd opened it, a sight stood before him, one that he was certain would remain engraved in his memory for eternity.

Mia covered in blood, some of it her own, a large amount clearly belonging to another but to Klaus all he saw was her in distress. He simply stared at her, wishing it was an illusion, a trick to anger him. Part of him considered closing the door, in the hopes that the cruel sight would vanish once opened again.

His silence became agonizing, but he couldn't find the words to say. "Nik?" Mia rasped, her mind began to deceive her, causing her to believe the lack of response was due to disgust. She'd always made a habit of keeping herself extremely tidy yet here she was covered in a sickly, rufous liquid.

"Who's at the door?" Rebekah called out, once she turned the corner her jaw dropped. "What..." Her eyes examined Mia and her shaking form. She thought it'd be best to ask questions later so she rushed over to her and wrapped her arms around the girl. Not caring that the blood would also stain her attire. "It's okay, darling. You're okay now."

Rebekah guided the girl to the sofa, helping her sit. She then turned to Klaus, who still remained motionless, however his eyes said a thousand words. "Nik, don't just stand there for goodness sake! Get her a quilt, she's trembling."

Klaus returned with his own blanket and gently swathed her. He brought his face down to her level, the hurt in her eyes almost enough to bring him to tears. "Mia, who did this to you?"

"I need to learn Spanish." The Petrova mumbled, hugging herself. "My mother would be very disappointed that I haven't." She faced Rebekah, who was holding back sobs at the condition of her friend. "Will you teach me, Bex?"

"What is she talking about?" Klaus furrowed his brows in confusion.

"If I knew it, I would've been able to understand what he was saying." Mia continued, her eyes fixated on the Mikaelson girl. "Perhaps he was giving me a warning."

"Who was?" Klaus spoke louder.

"Will you give it a rest! She's clearly in shock." Rebekah snapped, glaring at her brother. She placed the Petrova's hand between both of hers. "Of course, sweet girl. I will teach you. You'll be fluent within a week." She offered a warm smile, she knew it wasn't much but she was willing to do anything to comfort Mia.

"Thank you." Mia returned the smile but her quivering lips didn't go unnoticed by the Mikaelson siblings. "My mother would've liked you, I'm sure Ariana and Jesse would've as well."

"We're getting no where with this." Klaus held Mia's face in his hands, turning her to him. "Mia, sweetheart. Tell me what happened. Who's he and what did he do to you?"

"You see, that's the thing, Nik." Mia responded in a dazed like manner, "I don't know what they did. There was a pain in my neck and I woke up on the ground."

"Nik, look here." Rebekah pointed at the Petrova's neck then to her legs, "Her wounds have healed and a majority of this blood isn't hers."

Klaus' lips parted in shock, catching the scent of the blood. In addition to that, Mia's scent had also changed, just as an individuals would when they'd transition. "She's a vampire."

"But ... this doesn't make any sense." Rebekah stammered, blinking in disbelief. "Who's blood did she consume?"

"Mine." Klaus admitted, the heads of the two women whipped in his direction. "I laced her glass of water with my blood. I was trying to help her headache but it must've still been in her system when they...."

"When they killed me." Mia completed, she bowed her head in shame. "And I'm just as bad as they are."

"No, you're not." Rebekah disagreed, rubbing the brunette's leg. "What makes you think that?"

"Because I killed someone. Two someones." Mia's voice wavered as she spoke, "I bit into his neck and drank his blood." Klaus let out a small sigh of relief once he heard she'd already completed her transition. "The other one's head is mashed, I threw him to the wall."

"I'll deal with them." Klaus reassured, "Then I'll deal with whoever caused this, just give me their names."

"No, I want you both to promise you won't kill anyone for me." Mia urged, causing both siblings to look at each other hesitantly.

"Promise." They both spoke at the same time. This was a vow neither of them had any intention of maintaining. The only difference was, Rebekah knew who'd attacked the girl and Klaus didn't.

"I don't want to kill anymore." The Petrova shook her head frantically, "It isn't right."

"There are other ways, love." Klaus shared, "You don't have to kill, not if you learn to control it. I'll show you."

She nodded falteringly, staring straight into Klaus' eyes then whispered, "I was calling for you."

5 words, without context this was a simple sentence. Anyone would assume she simply wanted him. But to Klaus, it burned through his head, scorching his heart that'd now become submerged in guilt. Mia was calling for him because she needed someone to protect her, she beckoned for the one person she believed would shield her from danger.

Without giving him a chance to respond, Mia rose from her chair. "If it's alright, I'd like to clean myself up."

Rebekah joined her, curling an arm around the Petrova's waist, "You lie down and I'll run you a bath. You're going to need help getting the blood out." She slowly lead the way to Mia's room, Klaus watched them leave and sunk back into his chair.

He ran a hand over his face, the whole event playing repeatedly in his mind. He'd always been so protective over Mia yet when she truly needed him, he was no where to be seen. His heart ached at the thought of her waking up on the concrete, confused and frightened. The way the guilt must've crushed her after her first kill. In his eyes he failed her, he failed to live up to the expectations she held for him.

After an hour Rebekah sauntered into the parlour, remnants of sadness plainly visible on her face. She'd washed the brunette in the bath, cleansing away any evidence of her violent acts, but also the harm done to her. Mia cried the entire time, mumbling incoherently, the amplified emotions had become overwhelming to her. She wailed to the point of her breathing becoming jagged, her body shook uncontrollably. The Mikaelson woman had blended lavender oil in the water, to aid the Petrova in sleeping. Thankfully it'd worked, as soon as Mia had fallen asleep Rebekah left the room.

"I can't think of single person less deserving of this." Rebekah murmured, taking a seat beside her brother.

"Who was she talking about?" Klaus inquired, all he needed was a name and he'd be gone.

Rebekah hesitated, sensing what his reaction would be. "Mariano." Klaus face remained expressionless, "Mariano Lopez." She added after noticing the lack of recognition he showed.

"Marisol's husband?" Klaus quizzed, finally connecting the dots. "So that's how she knew? I assumed you'd told her."

"I did, only after he spoke to her." Rebekah shared, waiting for his rise in anger. Which as expected happened very quickly.

"And you didn't tell me." Klaus seethed, "You knew he was here and you stayed quiet!"

"I didn't think anything of it." Rebekah defended. "All he did was talk to her, how was I to know this would happen."

"Well I hope you're pleased with yourself, we could've saved her!" He yelled, gripping the blonde's wrist. "This is all your fault."

"You can blame me if it eases your stress but we both know it isn't true." Rebekah hissed as his hold tightened. "They would've killed her anyways. You men and your incessant obsession with revenge."

Klaus released her wrist and stormed towards the exit until Rebekah spoke again, "You can't leave. She needs you, she needs both of us."

"They can't get away with this." Klaus' turned the knob, whipping the door open.

"And they won't." Rebekah assured, "Go to her, Nik. There will be plenty of time for vengeance later."

His hand moved away from the door and he took a step back. "Fine, later." He gritted through bared teeth, as much as he hated to admit it, Rebekah was right. The best place he could be now was with Mia, comforting her, holding her. Letting her know that she'd never be harmed again, as long as she was with him. Klaus moved away from the door completely and made his way to the Petrova's room, believing he'd get the opportunity for payback, all he had to was wait.

The Mikaelson man opened the bedroom door, his eyes falling to the girl on the bed. With her hair laid perfectly across the pillow and her lips slightly parted. He sat in the chair adjacent to the bed, standing guard from any further dangers that would arrive. He knew it was strange to watch her as she slept but couldn't find the strength to look away. She looked peaceful, as though the last few hours hadn't occurred. She was a sensation, his sensation. A perfect muse.

Mia shot up from the bed, her hand clutching her neck. She gasped for air that suddenly felt too thick to inhale. Klaus rushed to her side, placing a hand on each side of her. "You're okay, I'm here." He consoled, stroking her arm, "It was just a dream."

"I can't..." She began but her words were cut off by the sobs creeping up her throat. She pressed a hand to her mouth, desperately resisting the urge to cry.

"It's okay, my love." Klaus cupped her face, pulling her hand away.  "Let it out. You won't feel better unless you do."

Once the first tear released, the rest broke through like a rapid. She buried her face in his shoulder and wept, whilst he felt himself diminishing to the sound of it. "I didn't do anything, I never offended them or hurt them."

"I know, sweetheart." He rubbed her back soothingly as she continued to bawl. He was aware of the intentions Mariano had, Klaus had bedded his wife so he was simply trying to mirror his actions. However the main difference was that Mariano mistreated Marisol, he would abuse her and throw filthy insults her way. Klaus had never done something that Marisol was uncomfortable with, she consented, insisted that the Mikaelson man take her.

But with Mia, it was done by force, with anger. An innocent girl who'd been through enough struggle in her life, who deserved to be treated with respect and love. She moved away from his shoulder, the crying failing to end. "I know it's unbecoming to complain." The brunette sniffled, "But this isn't fair, Nik. I never did anything wrong."

"I know." He repeated, "I can take away your pain if you want. You'll no longer have to feel like this." They'd discussed compulsion a few weeks prior, after Mia asked he'd do it to rid the burden of her fear of heights.

"I have to remember." Mia murmured. As much as she wished it could go away, she hoped she'd become stronger because of it, less trusting. It was her friendly nature that'd caused her to remain unaware she was being deceived.

"You can keep the memory, I'll just take away the fear from it." Klaus told her, rubbing his thumb across her flushed cheek. She nodded wearily, but the Mikaelson shook his head. "I need you to tell me, darling."

The Petrova's eyes became glazed, "I can't feel this way any longer, please... Just get rid of it."

Klaus moved in closer, bringing his face only a few centimetres from hers, he stared into her eyes and watched as her pupils dilated, "What happened to you was dreadful, unforgivable. But when you think back on that memory you won't be afraid, not for a single second. You shouldn't have to feel that way ... because you deserve all the happiness and good fortune this world has to offer."

He needed to know what happened, what they'd done to her. Whilst her guard was let down he entered her mind. It was wrong, deceitful but it was needed to fuel his rage, to ensure they'd suffer. Klaus regretted it as soon as the first image flashed, Mia dragged along the ground, being held down whilst she screamed. "Nik, help me!

He flinched back, releasing Mia from his hold and faced away. The girl looked at him in confusion, unaware that her mind had been infiltrated. "Nik, what's wrong?" She felt clearer, the pressure on her soul had lessened, the fear had faded.

His back remained turned to her so she shuffled along the bed and sat in front of him. Her breath hitched once she'd seen his face, more specifically the tears that rolled down it. Mia felt her heart shatter at the sight, she'd never seen him so vulnerable. "Please don't cry." She wiped away the tears but new ones took their place instantly, "It pains me to see you sad."

"I'm sorry." The brunette couldn't help but feel a sense of culpability for his current emotions.  "If I had just let you accompany me to the shop, this never would've happened, and you wouldn't be feeling so unhappy."

She's remarkable. Klaus brushed away the wetness from under his eyes, then gently pulled her closer, pressing a kiss to her forehead before resting his on it, "You have nothing to apologise for. Don't you think for a moment that you have any fault in this."

"You shouldn't think that either." Mia whispered, glancing down to his lips. Her magnified emotions also included her love for Klaus, her heart was beating rapidly at their close distance.

She pulled away and grabbed his hand, "Will you lay with me, just for a short while?" It was a risky ask but something told her that he wouldn't decline. How could he? With her gazing at him with those eyes.

"Of course." Klaus smiled, laying back onto the mattress, right beside her. His arms yearned to hold her but he chose a compromise. He laced fingers with hers as he felt the slow arrival of slumber, his eyes drooped, finally closing after his several attempts of denying them.

~~~~
The sound of the clock chiming caused Klaus to awaken, his back was pressed against the headboard with his legs laid straight. Feeling a small weight upon his legs and a silky touch on his hand, he glanced down. His lips upturned at what he saw. Mia's head was resting on his lap as she lay diagonally. Klaus had been subconsciously caressing her hair, a habit he found was soothing to each of them.
He looked at the clock and saw that two hours had passed, it was the perfect time to teach those men a lesson. Klaus gently lifted the Petrova's head from his lap, leaving a pillow in its place. Quietly made his way out, in hopes of keeping her asleep and shut the door behind him. Something caught his eye as he walked through the parlour, a bright purple box sat on the glass table. He lifted the lid and his eyes hardened upon seeing what it contained.
Two bloody hearts.
"You'd think for two grown men they'd make less noise." Rebekah spoke, sat on the couch. She swirled her drink, smirking. "But no, they screamed like a pair of infants."
Klaus was furious, he'd been awaiting for his chance to kill them, practically looking forward to it. "You had no right."
"I had just as much a right as you did." Rebekah retorted, standing up. "She's my friend as well, Nik. I care about her too. Don't you think I wanted them to pay for what they did?"
"They deserved a fate far worse than death!" Klaus yelled, clenching his fists. "You granted them the easy way out, this was not your job to undertake."
"Mia didn't even want us to kill them. Imagine her reaction to you torturing them. It would make her sick. So yes, I killed those bastards and disposed of the other two bodies." Rebekah told him, "I have only her best interests at heart, she needn't know. As long as they are dealt with then I really see no problem."
"The problem is you defied me, you knew I wanted to make them suffer but you killed them anyway. God forbid you just do as you're told!" He paced along the floor, the veins in his neck becoming visible. "I swear Rebekah, I could just..."
"What, dagger me?" Rebekah finished with a sharp tone, "Go ahead, but you know as well as I do that she'd never forgive either of us had we tormented them. That sweet girl ...." Her voice began to break as she pulled the satin gloves off her hands. "She would've seen us for what we truly are. Monsters."
"We have to do what's right for her, Nik." Rebekah reasoned.
"You're right." He mumbled, catching her off guard. "We have to let her go."
"What?!" The girl exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock. "No, we can't."
"You said it yourself, we have to do what's right for her. The longer she's with us, the more danger she's in." Klaus pressed his lips into a line, rubbing at his temples. "We have to compel her, make her forget us. If we'd done it sooner, we could've spared her of this."
As Rebekah opened her mouth to object once again, a familiar voice snapped, "Don't you dare." The siblings turned to see Mia stood in the doorway, she'd noticed Klaus' absence once she'd woken up so decided to search for him, causing her to hear their conversation. "How could you even suggest something like that?"
Klaus' expression congealed with guilt, "Mia, listen.."
"No, you listen to me." She pointed at the man, "Yes, what's happened is awful, but I can't think of a fate worse than one spent without you, without both of you." Mia held both their hands, bringing them in closer, "You are the two most important people in my life as of right now, I thought after Jesse I wouldn't care for anyone but ..."
She faltered then took a moment to compose herself, "I can't think of anyone I'd rather spend an eternity with, than the two of you."
Rebekah's eyes were glossed with tears, she threw her arms around Mia, squeezing her tightly. "You won't have to spend anytime without us, we're not going anywhere."
Mia hugged the girl back and raised a brow at Klaus, "You need to promise."
"Promise?" He inquired, he knew exactly what she was going to say.
"Promise me you'll never compel my memories away." Mia released Rebekah from the embrace and stood in front of Klaus, crossing her arms over her chest. "Promise me right now or I'll start drinking vervain, and you've told me how agonizing that is. Do you really want me to suffer that pain?"
Klaus gazed at her stern pout and couldn't hold back the smile that was creeping onto his lips, "I promise."
"Good." Mia's frown disappeared and was swiftly replaced with a smile. "Now, let's go to bed. It's almost sunrise and I'd prefer not to burn alive."
~~~~

"I didn't think this would be so difficult." Mia whispered to Klaus, who sat beside her. They were in a booth at the far end of the bar. "There's so many people here. I can hear everything, every heart, every vein rushing with blood."

"Just take a deep breath." Klaus rubbed her hand from under the table, "You're doing really well."

The Petrova couldn't help but beam at the praise, "I feel strange, different. You told me my emotions would change, that my personality would too. What if I don't want it to?"

"I don't think it can be avoided, but you need not be afraid." Klaus lightly gripped her chin, "This only means that everything that makes you undeniably remarkable .... amplifies."

"So it won't ruin me?" Mia quizzed, fidgeting with her hands.

Klaus grasped both of them, holding them in place. "Perfection can't be ruined." He glanced at Rebekah, who was busy chatting away with Tommy, his sister's choice in men baffled him. The Mikaelson man detected Mia looking at him in anticipation, so he faced her, "Now we begin our lesson."

"I can choose anyone?" Mia questioned, her eyes scanning the room for the perfect candidate. Klaus had promised to teach her how to control her bloodlust. A beautiful woman, wearing the same colour as Mia, caught her eye. "Her, she looks nice."

"You've made your choice, I'll compel her to go outside." Klaus stood up but was stopped as Mia held an arm out.

"No, wait." She'd seen the girl before and noticed the way she would stare when she thought Mia wasn't paying attention. "I want to try something." Klaus watched as the Petrova strutted past the woman, brushing her hand against her leg to catch her attention. Her plan had succeeded, the woman surveyed around to ensure no one was looking then trailed behind the brunette.

Klaus chuckled to himself, although it wasn't his emotions that'd been heightened he found himself more drawn to Mia, not even knowing that was a possibility. All he could think about was touching her, kissing her, hearing her respond to his acts of love.

"Um.. I don't mean to disturb you." A man voiced, snapping Klaus back from his daydreams.

"Then don't." Klaus deadpanned, he turned to see George standing before him.

"I'm sorry, it's just that.." George hesitated, his heartbeat becoming quicker, he found the Mikaelson incredibly intimidating. "I just wanted to know where Mi- ... Amelia went."

"Why?" Klaus asked but he wasn't the slightest bit interested.

"Well, Gloria told me about what'd happened to her, she doesn't deserve it and I was wondering if she wanted to ....." He gulped as Klaus espied the flower in his hand, "You know what, I think I'll just wait for her to come back."

"She isn't coming back." Klaus stood up and harshly gripped the man's shoulder, "It seems Mia is quite fond of you so I'm going to let you live, on one condition."

"Vampires can't compel witches." George stated, attempting to move away from Klaus' who was glaring into his eyes, however his hold remained tight.

"I'm not compelling you mate. I don't need to." Klaus sneered, "You'll listen either way." He yanked George forward and spoke in a low threatening tone. "Stay away from Mia, you're not good enough for her and you never will be. Trying like this just makes you look pathetic. She'd laugh in your face."

Klaus snatched the flower from the witch's hand and scrunched it up, before dropping it on the ground. "Enjoy the rest of your evening." He smirked and walked away, heading towards the back exit, where he found Mia stood with the woman.

"What took you so long?" The Petrova asked.

"I had something important to do." Klaus responded, deciding against telling her about George.

"Never mind." Mia dismissed and turned to the woman beside her, "I was just telling my new friend how much fun we wanted to have with her." She brushed the hair away from the girl's neck, smirking at her blushing face. "She's gorgeous, isn't she? Perfect for us."

Klaus felt the blood rush to his own face in response to the brunette's actions. He found the gleam of deviltry in Mia's eyes tremendously arousing. "Yes, I agree." He stammered, trying to compose himself. "She'll do just fine."

"Now, now Nik. That's no way to compliment a woman." Mia scolded slightly, her voice hazed and sensual. It was all apart of her plan of making the girl feel calm before they fed but the effects seemed to be brushing off on Klaus. She held both the woman's hand and lead her to Klaus, "You have to make her feel special, as if she's the only girl you pine for."

Mia pulled the girl closer, their lips inches from each other, "And you, my sweet, are so very special." Without warning she pulled the woman's head back and sunk her teeth into her neck, the girl let out a cry but was muffled by Klaus' hand.

"Stay quiet." Klaus compelled her, before leaning in and attaching his fangs to the opposite side of her neck. His arm snaked around Mia's waist, his fingers trailing up and down her sides but the Petrova was too submerged in the pleasure of feeding to notice.

He pulled away, licking away the remains of blood on his lips. Just as he was about to tell Mia it was enough the Petrova pulled away, he was impressed with how quickly she learnt control, unaware that she was trying for him, so that he could be proud of her.

"That was fun." Mia grinned, "Now I heal her?" Before she could bite into her wrist, Klaus grasped it, shaking his head.

"Let me do it." Although it would heal almost instantly, he didn't want her to hurt herself. He healed the woman then placed a hand on Mia's shoulder, "Concentrate, look into her eyes. Speak clearly and tell her exactly what you want her to do."

Mia nodded then followed the steps, she decided to test it to ensure it was successful. "Spin around 20 times." Nothing happened for a moment then suddenly the girl began to twirl, causing laughs to escape the two vampires. Klaus' eyes became glued on Mia, her delighted expression causing his heart to flutter.

Once the girl had stopped spinning, the Petrova pulled her in once more, "Forget everything that happened here, you were feeling dizzy so decided to get some air. You won't remember any of this."

The woman blinked repeatedly then shook her head in a daze, "I'm feeling dreadfully dizzy."

"Well it's a good thing you came to get some air." Mia responded, her lips stretched into a beam. "Perhaps wait a little longer."

"Yes, thank you." The girl smiled, "I think I will."

"Goodnight." Mia waved, then linked her arms with Klaus as the two strolled back inside. "That was amazing."

"You did amazingly." Klaus praised, he retrieved a small velvet box from his pocket and handed it to the girl. "I got you a present."

Mia opened the box, revealing a silver ring with a lapis lazuli gemstone. "A daylight ring." She stared at it in awe, this was unlike the other rings she'd seen. The gemstone on this ring had been carved into the shape of a heart. "It's beautiful, Nik. Thank you."

"You're welcome." Klaus replied, sliding the jewellery onto her finger, "Now, choose another person. The night is still young."

"I finally understand what you meant by different blood types tasting better." Mia leant back on the couch, sighing with bliss. "That was exquisite."

"We have the same favourite." Klaus noted, he lifted a hand to her face, wiping away the smudge of blood on her chin. "The red suits you." He cupped the side of her cheek in his hand, she leant into his touch. Her eyes closed as she revelled in the feeling of his affection.

"Thank you, Nik." She spoke softly, he adored the way his name left her lips. It made him only ever want to hear it from her. "Today was .... almost perfect."

"Almost?" Klaus furrowed his brows, sitting forward. "That's no where near acceptable. You must tell me what you desire for this day to become perfect."

Mia stayed silent, at a war with herself on whether or not to make the first move. Her gaze dipped to his lips, she desired nothing more than to feel them on her, to have his body against hers. To hear him declare how much he loved her, the same way she loved him. When she was human the fear of rejection had constantly controlled her actions but now her attraction to him had become to strong to simply push aside.

"You. I want you." She whispered before latching her lips onto his. Klaus immediately tensed up at the action but melted into it. Their lips moulded perfectly together, both of them screaming inside. Klaus pulled her onto his lap, keeping the kiss going. His hands gripped her sides whilst Mia's fingers entangled in his curls. She moved her hips against him, starting an excitable friction which caused Klaus to groan. His hand moved to her lower back, holding her closer.

"Nik." She breathed out against his lips, however this caused images to flash in his mind. Not the type someone would assume in this situation. Instead it was of her being knocked down in the alleyway as her words played over.

"Nik, help me!"

He was the reason she'd been killed, the reason she was violated. Yet here she was, kissing him when she should despise him. Klaus started to convince himself that it was all due to her amplified emotions, that she couldn't possibly want this. He believed that her mind was deceiving her into thinking she loved him. As much as he wanted to stop, he couldn't bring himself to pull away, growing insatiable to her kiss. It was needy, passionate, unloading all the tension from their entire relationship.

The taste of blood remained on her lips as did the strawberries she'd eaten earlier. He loved everything about her but didn't want to take advantage of her vulnerable state. "Mia, stop." He muffled, she pulled back immediately, wondering if she'd made him uncomfortable.

"Did I do something wrong?" Her eyes filled with concern, still out of breath from what'd just happened. It was something she'd wanted to do for weeks but the look that now rested on his face made her instantly regret it.

"Yes." He lifted her up and placed her back on the couch. "You shouldn't have done that." His voice contained a slight anger, not at her but with himself, for allowing it to get that far.

"Well you didn't exactly pull away." Mia shot back, usually something like this would've caused her to cry but instead she found herself becoming furious. "Don't make it seem as if I forced it upon you."

"I'm not saying that, you're confused." Klaus began but was cut off.

"No, I'm not." The brunette retorted, "This is what I want."

"No, this is what you think you want. You don't actually know." Klaus stood up from the couch to walk away, however Mia grabbed his hand. "You should hate me."

"What are you talking about?" Mia shouted, finally feeling the expected sadness.

Klaus placed his hands on her shoulder and repeated, his voice growing louder. "You should hate me. This never should've happened, it was a mistake."

"Nik, I don't understand. I thought this is what you wanted."

"That's where you're wrong.." Klaus hesitated, debating whether to continue. He'd promised never to compel her but that didn't mean he couldn't use other methods of driving her away, it was dangerous for her to even associate with him. "I don't want this. Not one bit."

He could practically hear her heart shatter, as her eyes welled up with tears, "That's not true." She shook her head in disbelief, "Why are you talking like this?"

"Because it's the only way you'll understand." Klaus spoke coldly, "You can continue to stay here but I don't want to speak to you, or look at you or have anything to do with you." He yanked his arm away from her and stormed to his room as she followed him.

"Nik, what's wrong? Just tell me what happened." He slammed the door in her face and locked it. "Open the door!" She whacked against the wood, pleading. "Please, Nik. Open the door and tell me what's wrong!"

Her cries and pleas continued for 10 minutes until Rebekah had arrived. Klaus listened in as Mia told his sister everything, excluding the kiss, the pain in her voice was almost unbearable to hear but he had no choice. He had to make sure it worked, that she stayed away.

Footsteps approached the door whilst Rebekah spoke, rage laced in her tone. "Well I hope you're happy, you bastard. You finally managed to truly upset her."

Klaus sighed deeply, leaning his head against the wall. Anything it takes to keep her safe.

Jeremy Jordan as George

A/N: HELLO MY DARLINGSSS. I hope you enjoyed that chapter. This is unedited so ignore the mistakes.

 Please remember to vote. I'm doing this new thing where the chapter has to hit at least 30 votes before I publish a new one. Because some of y'all haven't been voting.

Now before you guys yell at me, at least I gave them a kiss. Be grateful. To give a small explanation, Klaus basically thinks that Mia only kissed him because of her heightened emotions. He obviously blames himself for her death so Klaus being the "nice" guy he is, is gonna resort to ignoring her instead of you know.... communication.

Y'all be prepared for the next chapter. It's a big one,

Also no one bully George, especially in the next chapter. He's my baby.
