Note: there are some overlapping questions, so I joined some of them together. Some of the questions are relating to hypothetical situations, and I will not specify if it will happen in the story or not.

Side note: I think a lot of my readers (including me) view MC as kind of a separate person/his own character, so while I won't specify his skin colour/eye colour/ hair colour, I might be talking about his hairstyle and height etc

Q: What are their favourite seasons?

Silas: Summer.
MC: Winter.

Q: If Silas and MC were in UNI AU, what kind of people would they be? Campus Crush? Jock? | What if they were in the modern AU? What would Silas and MC be?

I think that funnily enough, both Silas and MC would be campus crushes lol. But for two very different reasons. Silas is the typical cliche detached rich kid who effortlessly scores good grades that people are scared to approach (but have a crush on anyway), while MC is popular because he's really sweet and gentle. Both of them would be childhood friends and MC would be a literature student, and Silas would blindly follow him there even though he has no interest in it. But it's fine cause ermmmm Silas is rich anyway and he's set for life!

Q: What was your favourite chapter to write?

Chapter 18! Because it was one of the first fleshed out conversations that R and C had!

Q: Favourite character?

MC hands down! I like Silvia and Silas too

Q: If Silas and MC finally end up together, will the curse be broken?

*This is a hypothetical scenario | uh this kinda has spoilers so I can't actually give concrete answers. There's a specific trigger for the curse to be broken, to which I won't reveal now, but there's a high chance that the people who break the curse won't even know that it's broken because they don't know how it's broken in the first place. (Sorry this was a loopy asf sentence) And thus even when the curse is physically broken, the after effects (etc perhaps the aftermath of an irreversible fight) will still be there.

Q: If the MC was born a girl, would the situation be any different? Or if Silas was born a girl?

first of all, I'm not really sure on what you mean by situation, so I'll answer it both ways!

1) if you mean situation as in their feelings, gender doesn't play a role in their feelings for each other! the way I see it is that MC just happened to like a person who happens to be a boy, and same for silas

2) there's a higher chance that you're talking about the curse, but in this case, yes, the curse would have a chance of being affected if MC was born a girl! or if Silas was born a girl! Their gender plays a role in the curse, but even then, the curse will still not necessarily be broken if one of them was a girl. Again, there's a specific trigger to break the curse so

Q: General thought process when writing and coming up with the plot of Allegiance?

I've always liked the childhood friends trope (which you can tell from my earlier works like Addiction and To Make Amends and Heated Rivalry) but I realised I never actually wrote one that starts from the very beginning. And I've always liked the whole Butler/Emperor and Advisor/Emperor trope that you can tell from my first work, Trapped, so that's how Allegiance spawned lol. Then I got into Alien Stage at that time and angsty media influences me a great deal, which is why I decided to centre Allegiance around the whole depressing theme of growing up!

Also I really wanted to write a cheerful and sweet MC since I don't think I have written that before except for perhaps Swipe Right (?) not sure, but I wanted a full fleshed out story that I would love writing because I pretty much dislike all of my earlier works since they felt too rushed and stuff

In a nutshell Allegiance is special to me and I think you guys can tell from the special treatment that it receives woops

Q: What trope would suit Silas and MC the best?

I've mentioned this before, so I'll put it here again (even though I'm not sure if it's like a trope or not)

I've seen someone people mention that it's like gloomy x sunshine trope, but I think in light of recent events along with the developments of their character, such a trope no longer applies woops

Q: Suppose Silas did jump off and killed himself, would MC kill himself too?

Wow that's a dark question LOL but to answer that question, yes! well, Silas is extremely morally grey, so I'm guessing that if he killed himself, some warped quality within him would expect MC to follow him. But I think regarding MC's character, he would try and  move on for a few weeks before he would despair and lose hope + join Silas

But don't worry, that won't happen to them probably

Q: Might be a spoiler kind of question, but is mc gonna have a thing with Silvia? Even for a short period of time?

Q: Does Silas lean more towards Antons personality or Dions?

Ive mentioned that Anton and Dion had been scrapped off (to allow for Silas's own character development), but assuming that they were not, my initial plan was to have him lean towards Dion's. Because whilst you could say that Silas is extremely obsessed with MC to the point of ruin, he would never physically hurt MC to do anything without consent. The most he would do is manipulation, I suppose, but that often ends up in self destruction due to the kind of person MC is

Q: Does Isidor love me? (most imp question, answer or u hate me)

No too bad

Q: Will MC still be teeny tiny bit taller than Silas when they become adults?

Haha that was the initial plan (don't kill me) but now they're grow to be at the same height. But MC's hair is fluffier/has a tuft, so people mistake him as being slightly taller and he finds great joy in teasing Silas about that. Silas's hair is a lot more silky and long.

Q: Does MC and Silas hold hands when they sleep together?

Yes!

Q. I was wondering for Allegiance what could be MC and Silas's spirit animal if they had one?

MC: Swan

Q: What is your favorite manga or manhwa?

This isn't related to the Q and A, but I'll answer it all the same LOL. Currently I'm interested in Frieren (if that's how you spell it) & Blue Lock! I've read Sasaki to Miyano as well as Death Note numerous times too. In terms of manhwa, I'm currently into The Beginning After the End, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, Death delayed for a short time because of the will, Spinach Bouquet, Our Youth, How to define popularity, The Novel's Extra, Nano Machine, Debut or Die. Probably a lot more but this are the ones that I can of rn

Q: What inspires you to make these kinds of books? Inspiration or tropes that I like that I choose to turn them into stories

Music! Always music lol. Or yes, sometimes tropes. But a lot of it comes from a burst of imagination somewhere random and I just scribble down the idea. A lot of my ideas will never see the light of day, however, because they would simply consume too much of my time

Q: What would it be like if they swapped roles and personalities? || what would their first impression be?

Oh this is interesting!

If they swapped roles and personalities, the result would be the same, which would be a warm, gentle prince versus along with an obsessed bloodthirsty butler lol. And I think that would have been something cool to write out haha

First impressions? I think MC, as the prince, would find the butler amusing, while the butler would be very cautious and slightly resentful of MC's position of destined power. Like in the original, MC would be the one warning up to Silas first, but in this case, it would take wayyy longer + Silas would be using MC for a longer period of time and for alot more things

Q:What's their MBTI?

MC: ESFJ
Silas: INTJ

Q: What's their favorite colors?

MC: Purple
Silas: Whatever colour MC's eyes are

Q: What's their favorite/least favorite thing about each other?

I'll start with least favourite things first!

Silas: MC's constant need to please other people and his constant action of forgiving people who have hurt him. Silas just doesn't simply understand why MC values other people's validation so much and he finds that to be annoying. Also because it kinda makes him not the centre of MC's focus

MC: Silas's impulses and reckless tendencies that often make him injured . Silas's lack of self control as well as his self destructiveness that is borne fruit from his dependence. He doesn't like it much either when Silas overlooks his own potential — it's upsetting to him.

Favourite things!

Silas: he absolutely adores MC's gentleness and kindness, as well as his warmth. MC's thoughtfulness also makes him really happy & he really likes it when MC talks on and on about his interest because he finds MC's voice to be soothing, and he can hear it for hours. He liked how MC's love language is physical touch.

MC: He likes Silas's clinical sense of the world, as MC finds how Silas views the world to be interesting. He also likes Silas's tenderness towards him and how Silas always knows just the right words to comfort him. MC likes Silas's dependence on him though it tends to serve as a double edged sword. MC also loves Silas's "arrogance" and finds it refreshing.

Q: What would happen if MC was an assassin sent to kill Silas? Would MC die because they don't have any attachment to each other?

There's two possible scenarios!

One, if Silas knew straight up that MC was an assassin during their first meeting, he would probably have killed MC before feeling a little regretful afterward as he would have lost the opportunity to make a friend around the same age as him. And there's also a chance that Silas might have seen MC in the same boat as him, being two children forced to kill etc

Two, if Silas learnt about MC's identity once they were already in an established friendship. He would feel betrayed + would probably like his father 2.0 before they would communicate and become closer

Q: What if the MC had never left?

Nothing especially bad would happen, but MC wouldn't be the happiest. First, I think Silas would grow to be an absolutely terrible Emperor due to him simply not caring about the nation or him just being a tyrant and exterminating people as he pleases. He would also become cold towards everyone who isn't MC and that would be to his detriment as the minute MC leaves his sight, he quite literally just crashes out. And that would make MC extremely burdened and exhausted, and while he would still love Silas in his own way, their relationship would be very strained

Q: What would Silas be like if you never scrapped the Anton aspect to him?

Fucking crazy LOL. I went through several drafts for him, and the first draft was for him to be super green flag and basically a sweet prince. Second was the Anton aspect to him where he would just kill whoever who neared MC without a regard for how much MC cherished them, and would think this is for the better! He'll be happy with me! And the minute MC expresses discomfort, Silas would be toxic asf and think who poisoned him against me? I thought he would agree. Basically pretty delusional and dangerous.

Q: How do the cast of allegiance like their eggs?

HAHHAA

Casper: He doesn't care about it. Any will do.
Ralph: Runny
Sarah: Scrambled. She has a funny talent of making them really fast and super good.
MC: Runny (he thought having similar tastes in almost everything with his father would form a bond between them. It didn't work, but he grew a taste for them.)
Silas: Runny. He likes whatever MC likes.
Silvia: Omelettes! She's close with Kate, the head cook, and Kate often gives her special omelets that have different ingredients all the time.

Q: If the cast has to jump to save MC, who would jump, and who wouldn't?

QUESTION(?) FOR THE EMPEROR/CASPER

Q: If MC looked like the Emperor (physical appearance and attitude), would he treat him differently since he resembles his butler?

Answer is yes LOL... he would. Resentful, yes, but he would find himself being slightly affectionate with him. For example, he would find himself asking the maids to give MC the treats he specially likes

QUESTION(?) FOR RALPH/BUTLER OF THE EMPEROR

Q: What would it have been like if he left the Emperor in the past? And how would the Emperor react to that?

Bad. Super bad. I think at this point most of you know that Silas and his Father have different tendencies due to them meeting their butlers at a different age, but the Emperor would not respect Ralph's boundaries and would deadass hunt him down

Q: What is his reaction to knowing about the generational curse? How did it feel when he finally knew the truth about his father and ancestors who experienced the same thing that he did?

Contains spoilers, so I can't answer this. But promise it'll be answered in the story in the future! (I think)

Q: If he hadn't been with Sarah, would the interactions with him and Casper be any different?

Of course! But only slightly different. There wouldn't be a lot of hatred and anger, but there would still be the warped relationship they always shared.

QUESTION(?) FOR SARAH

Q: Does she know the generational curse embedded in her family? If she does, what are her thoughts if she avoided everything? (Casper, Ralph)

She doesn't know + this contains slight spoilers so I can't answer it either

QUESTION(?) FOR SILAS

Q: What would he do if the cycle becomes true?

He would consciously try to be sweet and kind, but it might come off overbearing

Q: Does he know about the generational curse? If he does, what would he do to change the situation? Or would he be like his ancestors?

He does, but only tangentially. He overheard conversations before but he never bothered to piece the puzzle pieces together. The latter part of the question contains spoilers but everything will be revealed in the story!

QUESTION(?) FOR MC

Q: As he starts to learn more about his family's generational curse, would he still stick to Silas's side, or would he try to avoid the downfall that happened to his ancestors?

I think both (?) for now he has already left for six years; but with the full intention of returning to Silas. He believes and trusts in Silas to manage his awful codependency issue but deep down, MC also knows that he himself is awfully dependent on Silas. But he is adamant on sticking with Silas as per their promise. Also because MC genuinely loves Silas a lot

Q: Does he find himself liking other people besides Silas? Like would he have an interest in them to the point of liking them as much as Silas?

Yes, he does like a myriad of people. He's quite fond of Silvia, and he views her to be cute and endearing. He likes his mother too, of course, as well as the cold and servants that dote on him. But MC had been having a lot on his mind and he hasn't really bordered about Silvia's absence. He has missed Silvia, but not as much as he thought he would. His mind is preoccupied with the curse and Silas right now.

QUESTION(?)FOR ANCESTORS OF SILAS AND MC

Q: What are their thoughts about your descendants "breaking the curse?" What are your thoughts of MC?

Aster thinks MC is very strong willed, to which he's glad for. He doesn't know if they have truly broken the curse yet, but he feels regretful about his own actions and hopeful for MC's success. He's not omnipotent, so he doesn't know what will happen or how everything will play out, but he's supportive
