IT'S BEEN FIVE DAYS SINCE rudy and rosalie's kiss. the two have been extra close. today rosalie was flying up to los angeles. not just to talk with cody but because she had a shadowhunters convention tomorrow.

as she spotted cody at the terminal, she walked over to him dragging along her suitcase.

"hey" cody smiles as he hugs the girl, pecking her lips

"hey" she forces a smile, the guilt picking at her

"so i have to shoot in two hours, so i was thinking we can grab some take out and then head over to set" cody suggests as they walk outside the airport 

rosalie swallowed the lump in her throat "um, cody i actually have to talk to you, can we go to our spot?"

cody gave her a skeptical look, but nodded "okay"

the rest of the car ride was silent, as they pulled up to the beach, they walked along the sand. as the reached a quiet spot, the two placed their towel onto the ground, taking a seat as the stare ahead at the water in front of him

rosalie being the first to break the ice "cody, i know i said i was ready when we started dating, but the truth is, i wasn't ready. i tried i really tried to focus on us but we just didn't-

or so she thought "you aren't over him" cody says as he cuts her off

rosalie looks down to her hands "i'm sorry"

"don't be, at least you tried" he assures her "but hey your buying me lunch as a i'm sorry gift" he jokes

rosalie chuckles softly "deal"
