"Dude, you spilled a glass of wine. So what?" Hawk asked as they warmed up, Miguel talking about his dinner the night before. Kody sat on the ground, leaning back on his palms.

"I don't know, man. You should have heard the way Mr.LaRusso was talking about Sam's future." Miguel gave a sad look, not even bothering to warm up . "I can't even afford a car, let alone college."

"Sam doesn't care about that sort of thing, you know that." Kody spoke up to shake his head at Miguel. "I mean, she loves you, right?"

"I don't know." Miguel shook his head. "Things have been...off lately."

"Off?" Hawk looked in confusion.

"It feels like when we got back together, things just were...not like how they use to be." he tried to find the correct explanation.

"Well, if there's some trouble in the afterlife, it has nothing to do with college or cars." Kody stood up with an exhale.

"The afterlife?" Miguel's eyes widened.

"He means trouble in paradise." Hawk pointed out.

"Mm, yes." he agreed.

The red haired boy realized that they weren't helping. "You're El Serpiente. All Valley champ. I know you're gonna crush whatever Mr.LaRusso throws at us today."

"Compared to Sensei Lawrence's training, todays gonna be a vacation." Mitch spoke up, nodding with a minor laugh.

"Who's going on vacation?" Daniel jumped into their conversation, coming from the dojo.

Kody looked his way, feeling nervous. Miguel cleared his throat. "Uh, no one. What do you got for us today?"

"Come here." Daniel spoke up with a minor smile, leading them toward the pond. Hawk looked back to make sure Kody had been following, smiling at him when they caught eyes. Kody looked back, almost expected him to be smiling at someone else.

"Look, I know you've all been taught to strike first. What do you do when your opponent is faster then you?" Daniel eyed each of them, standing up on the rock slightly.

"Are those real koi?" Mitch stared in amazement.

"Nemo?" the O'Dell boy leaned over the side with a curious look.

"Yes, they are real." Daniel answered Mitch's previous question, giving Kody a minor smile. "And Nemo was a Goldfish, but they are distance Cousins with the Koi."

It made his face light up.

"Todays lesson is simple. Catch a fish. But since I know you Eagle Fangs like a little bit of competition, we're gonna make it interesting. So the first to succeed, will have the honor of leading class all week." Daniel nodded at the group, announcing the plan for the day.

His offer didn't seem to interest any of the students, sighing. "And you also get to pick out what flavor Gatorade I buy next."

"Aw, hell yes!" Mitch yelled with a bright grin. "Hope you all like Glacial Freeze."

"What is a Glacial Freeze?" Kody whispered toward Hawk.

"I think it's the white ones." he nodded in response.

"Where are the rods?" Miguel spoke up, looking in his direction.

"Back in my garage." Daniel shrugged his shoulders, smiling at their confusion. "Your bare hands are all you'll use and all you'll need."

"Oh, where?" Kody looked around.

"Your own." Daniel held up his hands to explain.

"You want us to grab em?" Kody gapped at him.

"I do." he smiled. "On your mark. Get set. Go!"

The group of Eagle Fangs all began to reach into the water, trying to grab one of the koi fish as quick as they could, the gatorade flavor at stake.

"Kody." Hawk for his attention, making him look his way bodied flicking the water at his face. Miguel focused extremely hard on one of the fish, leaning in to grab it, going too far as he crashed into the water.

Miguel sat up in the water, eyes wide in embarrassment and soaking wet. The group all laughed, not even focused on the fish anymore. Kody laughed loudly, falling into Hawk slightly as the pair continued to laugh at their poor friend. Daniel shook his head. "Looks like you're a little wet behind the ears. Let's get you dried off."

"Wait!" Sams voice rung before the boys could leave. "I need your help."

"I'm not going back to that little psychos house if that's what you need." Hawk warned her.

"No, it's not. I mean, it's about her, but we don't have to go." Sam looked between the two. "Do you think we could go somewhere? Demetri too."

"We can go to Cody's." Kody offered with a grin. "The best nachos ever."

"Good." Sam smiled, going to get Demetri.

"Are we seriously bringing Sam LaRusso and Demetri on our first date as a secret couple?" Hawk looked over in disbelief as Kody smiled.

"Its a double date." he nodded with a hopeful smile. "With a taken woman and a taken man."

"They really pack em good." Demetri gushed over the nachos. "Why don't we come to Cody's more?"

"Because i've decided to gatekeep it." Kody nodded from the other side of Hawk, running his finger on the side of his drink. "Look, evaporation."

"Condensation." Demetri corrected him.

"What's going on?" Hawk kicked Sam slightly from under the table. "Why'd you drag us here to eat over priced nachos?"

"I know you're gonna judge me." she rolled her eyes.

"He's not." Kody promised as he grasped Hawks hand under the table. "Tell us what's going on."

Sam exhaled. "I really do like Miguel."

"I'd hope so." Demetri hummed.

"What's wrong with liking Migeul?" Kody asked her curiously, Sam looked guilty.

"Did you cheat on him again?" Hawk snapped at her.

"No!" she defended herself quickly. "No, I didn't."

"But...." Demetri trialed off with a raise of his eyebrows.

"But, I think I might like someone a little bit." Sam sighed as she looked down. "I just wanted to tell you."

She looked directly at Kody.

"Because I know her." his eyes went wide. "Holy shit, are you into my ex girlfriend?"

"The psycho?" Hawk gapped. "Even I have to say that you can do better then that."

"She is very pretty." Demetri pointed out. "Has very nice legs too. Kissable lips."

"She's amazing." Sam gushed. "Every time we hang out, it just feels like it fits perfect. Like, she understands me without having to explain it."

"Are we thinking about the same person?" Hawk gapped.

"She's completely different when you aren't around." Kody pointed out. "Sam, Alaska would be perfect for you. If you feel that way about her, then you should tell Miguel."

"But..." Sam trialed off. "I'm scared."

"Scared of what?" Kody asked. "You're already out, right? Your instagram bio has had Pansexual in it for almost a year."

"She thinks Alaskas a traitor." Hawk confirmed.

"I do not!" Sam defended her.

"She so does." Hawk argued.

"Because she's been spending time with Tory?" Kody asked as Sam looked guilty. "No matter how she feels, she'd never swoop to that sort of level. I think you should just talk to her."

"Agree." Demetri hummed.

Hawks hand tightened on Kodys. "Hey, guys?"

Sam and Demetri blinked at him. Hawk glanced at Kody. "We're together."
