Kody sat next to Aisha, watching Hawk and Miguel fight on the mat. They both were doing good, blocking each other nicely but still striking first. Miguel ducked, hitting Hawk in the stomach. Kody winced as Johnny nodded. "Nice work, Diaz. Bow. Go again."

Just as the two did so, the bell on the door rung as someone walked in. Kody blinked slowly toward Daniel LaRusso, watching him step on the mat. Johnny looked in disbelief. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"Like you don't know." Daniel said in disbelief, all of Cobra Kai got to their feet.

"Take your shoes off the mat. You're disrespecting my dojo." The blonde sensei snapped his way in annoyance.

"You're seriously gonna talk to me about disrespecting dojos after what you just did to mine?" Daniel walked onto the mat more, his voice rung in anger. Kodys eyebrows were risen as he watched, Hawk coming to his side.

"I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I didn't do anything to your dojo." Johnny said back in disbelief.

"Just like you didn't slug one of my employees, huh?" Daniel asked in disbelief. Kodys mouth turned in an O at the words. "You know, part of me actually felt bad for you at one point, but you make it so easy to remember who the bad guy is in all of this. You call yourself a sensei? You don't even know what a sensei is. A sensei mentors. A sensei elevates. He doesn't teach destruction and disrespect!"

Johnny stepped closer so they were face to face. "I already said I don't know what you're talking about, LaRusso. And you don't know what you're talking about either."

"Yeah, well, I know you don't-" Daniel began, but his voice cracked. Kody frowned, feeling bad for whatever he had seen. "You don't earn the Medal of Honor by stealing it."

He then looked around at the teenagers around the mat. "Let me tell you something about your sensei. He might teach you how to fight, but he doesn't know a thing about what it takes to truly win at life. If you want to help yourselves before it's too late, the doors of Miyagi-Do are wide open."

"You think you can come in here and poach my students?" Johnny looked in disbelief at him.

"What are you gonna do about it?" Daniel rose his hands in disbelief. "You know i'm not gonna strike first."

Kody looked toward Hawk with wide eyes, waiting for something to go down. Johnny glared, his fist balled at his sides. "I'm gonna be a bigger man."

Daniel exhaled. "Yeah. We'll see about that."

As he stormed off, Kody looked toward Chris, he pulled his backpack on. Johnny saw him too. "Where do you think you're going?"

He ignored him, Mitch spoke up. "What the hell, Chris?"

"I never liked it here." Chris admitted with a sad look, walking away. About ten students followed him, Johnny looking around at the deflating dojo. Hawk grabbed Kodys wrist, almost afraid he'd go too. The O'Dell boy found his eyes, shaking his head, showing he was here to stay.

"Sensei, please, i've got bad lungs." Kody begged as he came up from the push up again. "I smoke a lot. You know what it's like, right?"

"Shut it, Koala." Johnny mocked him. The teens continued to groan and huff in pain. "This all could be over in an instant. The decisions yours! Who trashed the Miyagi-Dojo?"

Kody fell over his feet, loosing his balance as he fell backwards. Johnny reached over, pulling him back up. "Y'all know i'm no fan of LaRussos but that sort of bullshit we don't teach in here. At least not anymore. So, i'm gonna ask you again. Who trashed Miyagi-Do?"

"It was not me, Sensei. I would never disrespect another man's dojo-" Raymond struggled to say, barely making it through the brutal workout.

"Shut your cakehole, Chubs." Johnny cut him off. "I'm not looking for excuses! I'm looking for answers!"

"Sensei, we really don't know who did it." Miguel begged as he got to his feet, clutching his pained chest.

"Somebody knows something." Kreese spoke up, his arms crossed as he looked at the lines of Cobra Kais. "Question is, who'd gonna break?"

Kody looked oddly at the way he stared at Hawk, looking over before going back down into a push up. The bell rung from behind them again. "Are you kidding me right now?"

Kody shut his eyes, not even wanting to turn back. "Oh my f-"

"Kody!" Jimmy threw his hands up in disbelief, making him turn back. "What are you doing in here?"

"What are you doing? You're suppose to be gone another month." Kodys eyes went wide, his face red of embarrassment as they all stopped to look at them.

"Oh, so you go behind my back go join the one dojo I told you to stay away from?" Jimmy looked in disbelief, locking eyes with Kreese. "You stay the hell away from my son."

"Jimmy." Johnny rose his hands with a odd look. "That's your kid? Seriously?"

Kody gave a tight lipped smile. "Thanks."

"Whats the problem?" Kreese asked with an odd look. "He likes it here."

"I don't care what he likes, I don't want him getting involved with you!" Jimmy jabbed a hand his way, Kody looked to Hawk in a panic as he returned it with a guilty one.

"Dad, stop." Kody begged. "You're embarrassing me."

"Hey, i'm over the dojo now. Not him." Johnny cut in to try and ease the tension. "You don't have to worry."

"I don't have to worry?" Jimmy rose his eyebrows, pointing toward Kreese. "That's a hard one to believe."

"God, you're so humiliating." Kody huffed, storming off the mat as he grabbed his bag and pushed through the door. Hawk watched him go, wanting to follow.

"Leave me alone!" Kody called when he heard a knock on his bedroom door, laid next to Mantis on his bed. The knock came again. "Go away, dad. I don't wanna talk."

Jimmy opened the door, making his son roll his eyes in disbelief and stay looking at his computer. He walked over, sitting at the edge of his bed. "You don't understand, Kody."

He ignored him anyways, pretending to be watching the show on his computer. Jimmy waited a second. "Kreese isn't a good guy. Back in the day, he made us into bad people. I'm just trying to protect you."

"It's not like that anymore. Sensei Lawrence made sure of it." Kody finally met his eye with a look of disbelief. "You'd know that if you actually listened to anything I said instead of storming in there and treating me like i'm a little kid. You completely embarrassed me."

"Yeah, I know." Jimmy sighed. "I just got scared for you. You don't know what that man's capable of. I don't want you around him."

Kody ignored him, looking back at his computer. Jimmy sighed. "Tommy is really sick."

Kody looked over quickly. "What?"

"That's why I came home. To get Johnny. We're gonna go see him." Jimmy nodded with a sad look. "Bobby's gonna meet us at the hospital."

"Why didn't you tell me?" Kody sat up with worried eyes. "Can I come?"

"I just found out." Jimmy shook his head. "I think it's better if you stay here with mom."

Kodys shoulders sunk. "I haven't seen him in a while."

"I know." Jimmy nodded his head. "I'll tell him you said hi."

Kody gave a sad smile, picking at his fingers. Jimmy stood up, walking toward the door before Kody spoke up again. "Dad?"

He turned back in the door way. "Yeah, bud?"

Kody shrugged. "I know you're just trying to look out for me."

Jimmy sighed, nodding his head before leaving the room.

Hawk let Kody lay his head in his lap when they got the news the next morning. "Are they gonna do a funeral?"

"I don't know." Kody said, shutting his eyes. "I guess so."

Hawk gave a guilty look, patting his hair slightly. "You guys were close?"

"He's my god father." Kody said back, opening his eyes again with a minor shake of his head. "I haven't seen him since I was little, though."

Hawk frowned, making Kody look up at him. "I'm sorry, Kody."

Kody shrugged slightly. "Way of life, I guess."

"You wanna go get some onion rings?" Hawk suggested hopefully.

"I think I just want to take a nap." Kody admitted, sitting up as he swung his legs off the bed. "Thanks for coming."

Hawk looked hesitant. "I can stay with you."

The O'Dell boy gave a sad smile, nodding his head as he moved over some to make room on the bed. Hawk laid next to him, on his side so he didn't mess up his hair. Kody shut his eyes, curled up as the back of his hand touched his.
