Kimberly and Thomas Kratz were normal teenagers. They went to school and struggled to maintain their social standing among the other students at Hawkins High, who circled like vultures waiting for the moment of weakness when they would inevitably crumble. They had responsibilities to extracurriculars and summer jobs to help boost their transcripts and resumes that would someday help them leave the small town. And... they helped babysit their little brother, Jamie, and his nerdy friends who obsessively talked about Dungeons and Dragons, while their mother was working either one of her two jobs.

Until one cold, November night in 1983 changed the entire trajectory of their lives. The Kratz twins along with Kim's best friend, Steve Harrington, and Thomas's girlfriend, Mattie Price, were just trying to let off some steam when an escaped mental patient runs in front of their cars. Now social drama and college applications are the least of their worries. Who can think about that shit when interdimensional monsters are constantly attacking and the shady Hawkins Lab keeps offering more questions than answers?

Kim and Thomas used to long for a break from the monotony. But they sure as hell never wished for all this.

This story will start in Season 1. The idea came from a what-if scenario that had me imagining if Steve and some of his friends had their own Eleven to deal with.
