Chapter eleven,

   They hadn't seen this coming.

   Last night, after they had all left the shrine and mostly all going there own separate ways to take a breather, and save there next move which is today — Tara and Sam including Mindy who had dragged Ethan with them to keep a good watchful eye on him just for safety precautions, and making sure he isn't the one actual responsible for all this. All (mostly) weren't even expecting Ghostface to attack so suddenly, and specifically targeting their friend, Serena Campbell.

   Though, they should've seen this coming. She's the daughter of a deceased serial killer, she's a damn legacy. And, whoever this fuckface is not only does he want to take Sam Carpenter down, but also Serena Campbell down with her. A punishment.

   Everyone was sitting in the hospital chairs since the middle of the night, and now it being morning. They, had all received a distress call from Chad last night who was already on the ambulance car with her, panicking and crying on the call. It what had brought them all here, worried for their friend who was stabbed.

Despite not having entered her hospital room yet, considering that she was asleep after being interrogated by Kirby a couple hours ago who wanted to know what occurred, and Chad who also wanted her to rest after the attack and the interrogation that made her relive what had occurred, he was so far the only one in there with her.

Heels were clicking onto the ground had brought the attention of the friends who were in the waiting room, "How is she?" Gale had questioned Sam who was an anxiously biting on her fingernail.

   Gale who had happen to take a seat on the empty chair that was just directly next to Sam.

   Sam had removed her her finger from her mouth, "She's doing just fine, he didn't cut her that deep. . . we still haven't had a chance to actually see her yet, or actually know what occurred when he had attacked her last night. She's still sleeping." She was really worried for her friend, and dropping her hand onto her lap.

   It was then that Ethan had spoken up after being silent since last night, "Well — that's a good thing, right? She survived the attack from him. . ." Eyes simply glancing around at them in hope of several agreements with his own encouraging statement, yet all he had received was a death glare from Mindy.

Of course, he had known that she would survive the attack from his dad and sister last night. She was very much needed for the grand finale that was coming soon. Two daughters of previous serial killers, was just what they had ultimately needed to blame these horrific crimes on, especially their little revenge towards Sam Carpenter, 'cause daughters of past serial killers don't even deserve a fucking happy ending.

They are the bad people. Not them.

He was still surprised that Serena Campbell hadn't even exploded when he pushed Anika down to her ultimate death, it was quite poetic that she had died on something that she feared the most, heights. A sense of excitement had rushed all inside of his body, and reliving that night. The screams, cries and begging to live, it was just all exciting and the rush.

   Though, he knew something that may just possibly make her explode — all this coziness she's been having with Chad lately, he officially became a target who needs to be eliminated in the game. A game to simply prove that even Serena Campbell isn't innocent, but very much a crazy psychotic killer just like her father.

Mindy who just stared at him deeply with hatred, she still wasn't trusting him, "You would know that right, Ethan?" Her arms had simply crossed, she had felt it inside her gut that there is just something fishy going on with him.

   Ethan who opened his mouth, "I was with you all last night!" He had ultimately defended himself.

   Tara who pinched her nose, "Enough, you two. All damn night and morning. We're here because Serena was attacked and needs our company, please don't argue right now." She had given them all a stern look.

   All sighing, remaining quiet.

   Laying in her own hospital bed, Serena had blinked her eyes several times, groaning in just some uncomfortableness and felt a hand that was just intertwined with her hand, as his head was leaning by the bed, ". . . Chad?" She softly called out, and instantly making him awaken.

   A soft smile had landed on his face, "You're finally awake, how are you?" He had worriedly questioned her, "You need some water?" His eyes drifting on the small table that held a gray pitcher with cold water.

   She shook her head.

   Eyes simply began glancing around her hospital room, "Where's everyone?" She turned her head to glance at Chad, "You still haven't told them that there's two of them?" She had swallowed down her saliva, her mouth felt dry.

   He shook his head, "I can go and get them, so you can explain on what you've seen, and then what Kirby told you." He retorted, standing up from the chair he was sitting on, and heading to retrieve everyone else from the friend group, but before he was about to close the door she had called out.

   "Just not him, Ethan. I don't want to see him, I don't trust him, Chad. . ." She had sternly told him, "I stopped fucking trusting him ever since she died." She revealed, he nodded his head in complete understanding.

   Serena laid in the bed — Her jaw clenching, she's been doing her own research, and came into learning that Ethan Landry had never even attended Econ, she had asked someone she had known who attends that class, and was easily told that he never showed up.

   So, where the fuck was he?

   Chasing them in the Carpenter household, and murdering her bestfriend that's what he was doing. She felt her jaw clenching, she was so angry.

   She's never felt this much anger.

   Anger radiating inside her body that she wants to stab him multiple times, he had taken someone from her, and that wasn't fair.

   Though, she had no damn prove. . . so, she was out of damn luck. She wasn't going to be murdering someone, and having no prove into why she murdered them.

   Jumping when she had heard the doors opening back up, eyes glancing towards the door, a smile had appeared on her face when she seen her friends, and Gale?

   Tara who had immediately walked towards her, and immediately hugging Serena who let out a soft groan, "Sorry, sorry. I just — fuck I was so scared." She felt her eyes getting watery.

   Serena who had just shook her own head, "I'm all good, it's just a couple stitches. . ." She had slowly began speaking to them, "They never got me that good, but they had managed to kill my cat, bubbles." She had sadly revealed, a cat that Anika had gifted her for her sixteenth birthday.

   "What?"

   "What do you mean them?"

   Serena who had glanced at Chad who went just around to simply stand by her, and just intertwining their hands together for a sense of reassurance, "It's not just one, Ghostface. That we're all  dealing with there's two of them, but I have a feeling that there's possible three of them out the loose." She had slowly revealed to them.

   Gale who was just concerned over what she had heard, "So, we're not just dealing with one, but a possibility of three?" God, a sense of fear had vibrated inside her body. Will she survive this one? There was never something like this that she endured.

   Serena who nodded her head.

   "Why didn't you want Ethan here?" Tara had questioned.

   "I don't fucking trust him, I don't care if he was with you all last night as he claims to be, it's just. . . I don't know, but I'm going to prove that he isn't innocent."

   It had remained silent with all of them until Sam had suddenly spoken, "What'd Kirby tell you?" She retorted.

   Serena who sighed began speaking to them about what Kirby said, "When I was stabbed, and when they ran. . . it turned out that they had dropped my dads mask," Everyone's eyes had widened at what she revealed to them, "I'm not sure, why? If I didn't end up dead." She was so confused.

   Gale who had spoken up, "They're taunting you." She told her, but dived into what she was saying even more so, "You're the daughter of a serial killer, and they are taunting you by that. They want you to reveal your true colors, and 'causing bloodshed, and by doing that you'd put on what they think is rightfully yours, and that's your dads mask and cloak. His legacy, you're his legacy." She softly said, but she knew that Serena was innocent, and didn't choose to be the daughter of a serial killer.

   Serena just inhaled and exhaled her own breath, "Well, if I wanted to go and murder someone, and go psycho like my dad. My first victim would be Ethan Landry. . ." She slowly revealed to all of them, "I know that he's responsible for Anika's death." She snapped, angrily.

   "Okay, but we don't know that for sure and don't be saying shit like that, Serena. Someone can hear you." Tara crossed her arms at Serena who only rolled her eyes.

   Chad who had an amused smile on his face at what Serena rambled, "Hey, don't be telling her crap. Let her rant." He retorted.

   Sam's phone was buzzing like crazy all messages from Kirby, "Shit, today was the day that we were supposed to trap him. . ." Eyes that were simply glancing at them all, "Who's going to stay with her?" She had questioned them.

   Serena who had scoffed at Sam's ridiculous response, "Are you crazy, woman?" She had screeched. "I'm going too, you think that I'm staying here alone? Fuck, no. Chad help me stand up!" She had practically remarked at him, groaning when she sat herself up, and Chad supporting her.

   "But, you're hurt. . ." Mindy slowly said, "It's going to be difficult for you to walk." She had genuinely retorted.

   Chad who had his arm wrapped around her waist, and the hospital gown that reached all the way down to her own legs, "I can walk just perfectly, and Chad doesn't mind supporting me, right?" She smiled at him.

   He had eagerly nodded his head, "Right, and I don't want her here alone, but your cute stubborn ass better not be doing anything that can make you open your stitches up." He sternly pointed his finger at her.

   Everyone rolling their eyes at the flirtation, yet Gale found it adorable. Throughout, all this chaotic mess in their lives, it's always nice to have someone through it all, swallowing down her saliva as she remembered her past lover, Dewey.

   Gale who had just offered Serena a gentle smile, "I'll see you around, kid. Seeing as no talk show hosts are allowed for this scheme, but if you ever need anything from me, you know where to call." She had simply reassured her, as she made her way out of the room, and closing it behind.

   "Well, I've got to change, so. . ."

   They had all began to head out as well to give her privacy, "Where do you think you're going, Chad? I need help changing , dipshit!" She had sternly told him.

   "I knew that, I was just going to get your clothes from your backpack!" He had defended himself.

   All while, the three girls who were leaving the room had all chuckled, as they were not at aware that what they were planning was going to backfire on them, 'cause the actual person in danger was actually, Gale Weathers.
