Chapter seven,

you and i, we were born to die

   Serena offered into helping making dinner with Tara, she needed this major distraction, especially when Mickey, her biological father just wouldn't stop fucking speaking to her and wanting to apologize, she felt betrayed.

   Betrayed by a serial killer ghost.

   A serial killer who's her father, but always protected Anika and her. How fucking twisted is that? A serial killer who cares? Weird.

   Weirdo.

   Tara easily captured her attention, pausing any movements that she was doing on putting some dishes away and just giving her friend a worried look, "How, are you after learning that Mickey Altieri is your dad?" She had asked her sounding real gentle, and not to harsh on her.

  Serena who was just stirring the soup around out of distraction, her head turning to glance at Tara, "Honestly, I'm not really fine. I've spent my entire life living in a lie, a lie that my mom had created. . ." Serena slowly began speaking, she felt a tear of hers escaping her eyes, "She called me earlier, and told me she doesn't want contact with me anymore, apparently reporters appeared at our house, and she got fired from her job, and according to her it's my fault." Serena had quickly wiped her tears away, and letting out a bitter scoff.

Tara instantly paused on what she was doing, and pulled her friend into a big hug, with Serena who had reciprocated the hug, "I didn't want you to end up in this bloodshed mess. . . I was going to ask you if you'd want to go to some safety house with, Chad." Tara had softly whispered, "Considering what he went through last year, and what you endured today. I don't want you two getting hurt." She pulled away from the hug, giving her friend a soft smile.

Serena offered Tara a smile, "I really love your thoughtfulness, but you're stuck with us forever, Tara. I'm not going to run, or hide just because my father is Mickey Altieri. . ." She had felt her voice slightly cracking , "I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I'll move forward, eventually." She answered briefly, rubbing her own eyes.

   This was still too much for her to process.

Just before Tara could possibly reply to her friends speech, Chad walked inside the small kitchen, wrapping his arms around Serena's waist, kissing the top of her head, "You left me alone in bed, and here I thought I would wake up before you." He had playfully stuck out his tongue at her, she tilted her head upwards to glance at him, reciprocated it as well.

Chad leaning his head down and licking her tongue, and making Tara alongside his sister gagging at the scene. Serena who had easily let out a laugh at his childish behavior.

"You're so gross." Serena instantly pulled away from him, and turning the stove off so the soup can cool down, so they can all eat.

   Mindy who simply made an inappropriate comment as she was setting up the table on the other side, "Can't you two just like make out already, so this tension that's flooding in the kitchen, exit." She had basically shooed her description towards them.

  The two simply remaining silent.

   Tara had placed her hand onto her own mouth, letting a slight chuckle when she had finally put the puzzle pieces together, "You two already slept together, it wasn't just a supposed sleepover for protection." She playfully pointed her finger at the two.

   It was then that Sam entered the kitchen, "Who slept with who?" Confusion was simply written all over her face when she had eyed the group.

  "Gonna head to the bathroom, and relax with Anika who looks extremely comfy over there."

  Placing a soft kiss on his lips before offering the rest a soft smile, and just walking past the group.

"What you reading?"

Serena had approached her friend, sitting right beside her on the sofa, leaning her head onto her friends shoulder.

Anika who glanced toward her bestfriend with a soft chuckle escaping her lips, "It's just some homework assignment for class, but I'll take a break from it." She closed her book, and just throwing it onto the other sofa.

Intertwining her hand with her own friends hand, with concern that was just laced all over her friends voice, "How are you after today's occurrence? Are you okay, are you in need of a warm hug?" She slowly questioned her friend.

   Serena who innocently responded to her friends question, "I'm in need of your special warm hug, especially when you give out the best fucking hugs." She teased her friend, as she had instantly felt Anika wrapping her arms around her, her head leaning slightly on top of her own head.

   Anika who had softly spoken, "No matter what, or whoever your biological dad is, I will still love you. . ." Anika slowly began speaking to her friend a slight tear dribbling down her eye and simply allowing Serena to feel the tear landing on her shoulder, "You will always be my best fucking friend, Serena. God, meeting you was the best fucking choice, and you know my parents love you. Both are always ranting on Facebook on how they have the smartest kids who are living in New York, and attending College. You are one special woman , Serena Campbell. Always remember that." She kissed the top of her friends head, the sound of their bracelets jiggling, "Plus, no one has the best matching bracelets unlike us." She had lightly bragged.

   Serena who practically felt her cheeks both wet from her crying, glancing at her arm that had simply allowed her to see her own bracelet, she had her friends name simply carved on the bracelet, specifically her friend who had carved her own name, and vice versa. Both had their names representing on each other, a sign that they'd be stuck forever and together.

   Their attentions were brought towards the television when they had seen a news reporter, and Samantha Carpenter and Serena Campbell names were displayed on the headlines.

   Both girls pulling away with Anika grabbing the remote, glancing back at the group before turning her head back towards the screen with the volume going up, "Guys. . . What the hell!" Anika hesitantly said.

   Everyone had slowly began approaching around them, Chad instantly standing right behind Serena, and placing his hands on her shoulder, calming her down.

". . . Several sources are hear confirming that we possibly have made out two prime suspects, Serena Campbell being the very first one after murdering her Dean Anderson, no possible link to the rest of the other deaths, possibly her accomplice who committed the rest. Though, Serena Campbell is confirmed to be the daughter of none other than, Mickey Altieri. A deceased killer of 1997."

Serena had felt herself getting pale, she was being plastered on the Internet, and she didn't even do anything that they are falsely accusing her of doing, "I didn't do anything, I was with Chad." She softly whispered, her eyes were just hardcore focusing on the television.

"We're also hearing from other sources that our second prime suspect is none other than Samantha Carpenter. One of the survivors of the Woodboro killings in 2022 — seen here is her attacking a woman on the street last night. In the wait of the Woodsboro tragedy last year, rumors sprout up here online that Carpenter was actually responsible for the killings, blaming her crimes on her boyfriend, Richie Kirsch and Amber Free—"

Sam who had instantly walked around, she already felt herself close to crying, and easily taking the control from Anika's hands, and easily turning the television off before walking away, and pulling up one of the chairs, and sitting herself alone in the table.

Tara following along.

All while Serena remained frozen, "I forget that everything stays on the Internet forever," She slowly muttered out, "I'm never going to out of public view, am I?" She had felt her eyes getting watery, glancing at her friend and at the twins.

   Mindy who shook her head sadly, "No, but you have us with you, and we know the truth. Fuck everyone else, you are a good person, Serena." She had offered her a smile before she headed towards the table to also comfort Sam.

   Chad who walked around, and bending down to be on a good eye level with Serena, "Hey, I'm right here for you, Serena. I'm so fucking sorry that you are going through this, and it must be traumatizing, but I'm right here." He placed his hands on her knees, "I'm never going to leave you, okay? You're stuck with me until forever and ever." He kissed her forehead before going towards Sam to comfort his friend.

Serena who had just laid her head on her friends lap, tears just streaming down her own eyes, "I just want this shit to be over with, you know it's easy to deal with my mom's hate, but dealing with strangers hate, it hurts. They don't even fucking know me, and are just taking the bits and pieces of what they 'hear,' and that's it." Her voice had slightly croaked when she had said that sentence.

Anika who had just softly soothed her friends arm to simply comfort her, "Because they are all just miserable people, and have no fucking damn life. They love coming up with theories, theories that aren't even true." She had calmly told her friend.

   Serena who had slowly nodded her own head, she suddenly felt her mouth getting really dry when she had spoken this little part, "Do your parents hate me when they had seen me on the news, or wherever they seen me on?" She really couldn't have her friends parents hate her.

   Anika who shook her head, "Nope, they are sending you virtual hugs, and my mom wants you to call her back. She's been worried about you." She reassured her friend.

   Serena took that into consideration, a smile had appeared on her own face knowing that her friends parents still like her, she'd be really devastated if they hated her.

Phone devices going off like crazy.

Instantly making the rest running towards them, Anika who managed to stand right beside Mindy and Serena who had instantly stood right beside Chad, as his hand was softly gripping her arm.

Everyone's breath was getting really shaky not knowing what to expect, "Run." She had breathed out, it was then that Quinn's body was thrown directly at Anika.

Knocking both down to the ground, and Anika screaming and shoving the entire dead body off from her.

Chad instantly held Serena's hand so they can run seeing as Tara already had a head start, but Serena's attention was focused on her friend, Anika, "No, I can't leave her behind, I can't. . ." She told Chad, she was so fucking scared, but she wouldn't leave this place without her friend, "Let me go, please. I'll meet you on the other side." She kissed his lips.

Closing the Apartment.

She was quickly met with Ghostface who was just stabbing Anika, and dragging his knife upwards, her eyes widening when she seen her friend getting brutally stabbed with the fucking knife, "Fuck, fuck!" She was searching around for anything to possibly hit him with.

A plate.

She quickly ran towards the table, and running back and standing right behind him, and throwing the plate onto his head that had shattered. Knocking him off his game, pulling the knife away from her friend.

Anika who was almost going to stumble onto the ground, "I got you, I got you." Serena had easily reassured her friend, Anika letting out a heavy cough. All while, Anika had one of her arms placed on her friends shoulder.

He was just about to continue what he was doing until Sam had quickly came running in, and swinging the empty knife set on his head, "Hey!" Capturing his attention, and knocking him down to the ground.

Mindy who had also helped Serena direct Anika towards the other side by holding her on the other side despite being stabbed, Sam who had quickly closed and locked up the door.

All three sitting on the bed, Mindy who was groaning, "Fuck!" She had breathed out, she had felt herself getting slightly disoriented.

Banging.

Attempting to get inside.

All while, Sam held onto the door.

It had gotten silent, "Where'd he go?" Serena had felt herself about to burst into tears, it was then that Mickey appeared.

". . . Backdoor. Lock the backdoor. You two girls aren't safe here." Referring to Anika and his daughter. Specifically, Anika.

Sam who glanced around until she had found what she was ultimately looking for, "Serena, the backdoor. Lock the back door." Whispering loudly to her.

Serena making her way over there.

A loud scream escaping her lips, "Oh, fuck! A dead body, a dead body." She had yelled out in fear, Quinn's one night stands was just laid up all bloody in the bathtub, blood that was just spread around there.

Jumping when she was faced with Ghostface.

Quickly attempting to close the door, yet he was stronger, and dragging the knife against her hand and making it bleed, a groan escaped her lips as she was struggling to close the door, Sam who had came helping her, as both were just dodging to get harmed by him.

Jumping back, and running quickly to close the other door, Serena who felt her hands that were getting slippery just from locking the door until she had managed to do so, Sam who had began to drag one of the drawers, and pinning it against the wall.

Serena who had just stood by blocking the way even more so extra just in case the door opens up.

Her attention was captured when Sam had spoken, "Serena, you go first." Serena had just shook her head, "No, I need to hold the door, Sam. You go first, I'll just make sure Mindy and Anika go first." She reassured.

Sam who slowly began crossing over to the other side, she felt herself slightly hesitating.

"She's losing a lot of blood!" Mindy and Serena both said to Sam about Anika, Serena was just so worried for her friend.

Anika who was just groaning in complete pain from the stabbing, "Say, something more positive." She cried out to her girlfriend and bestfriend.

Sam calling out, "Anika! Come on!"

Mindy who was dragging Anika to go first before her, "I can't, I can't." She was crying out in pure desperation.

Mindy who was insisting, "You have to go, you have to go." She had practically pleaded from her friend.

Ghostface who was still attempting to enter the room, yet still hadn't managed to do.

Anika who shook her head not really giving in, she wanted Mindy and Serena to go before her 'cause she already knew that she wasn't going to make it out alive, "No, Mindy. I'll be right behind Serena and you." She promised.

She promised.

Promised.

Mindy pulled her into a kiss before going across the ladder. Serena, who had felt like the drawer was going to tip over.

Crying.

Serena had ultimately stepped out of the way, as the dresser was almost tipping, "Please, go first." She begged Anika.

Anika shaking her own head, again, "You go first, please, Serena. . ." She had yelled out, the two jumping when the drawer was rocking faster almost to tip over and allowing him into entering, "I'll be right behind you, I promise you. I love you." She had simply reassured.

Serena who glanced at her friend quickly , as she was already slowly crossing the ladder as quickly as possible, "I love you too." Not really knowing that would be her sort of last words.

Danny ultimately grabbing Serena, pulling her inside the room, as she stood right beside him, "Come on, Anika! You got this." She had just about ushered her friend to come over to this side, as well as Sam and Mindy did.

Anika who slowly began getting really scared, she didn't like heights, "Oh god, I can't do it. I can't do it." She shook her head hysterically.

Serena who encouraged her friend to come over to this side, "Yes, you can. You can do it, Anika." She softly told her friend, tears were already beginning to escape her eyes. She was so fucking scared, so scared.

Ghostface managed to get in.

Everyone's eyes widened.

Anika who was confused, "What?" Her voice was really disoriented, and not understanding what was going on.

Mindy who shouted really loudly, "Anika, you have to move right now!" She had shouted, she was already afraid.

Anika slowly turned around, and seen him. She began breaking down already getting really scared, she didn't want to die, "I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die. . ." She sobbed, all while Ghostface began shaking the ladder faster, and simply just making her move and cry even more louder, "Baby, I don't wanna die! I don't wanna die, Serena!" Eyes simply glancing at Mindy and Serena.

Serena who reached her hand out, Sam slightly pushing her forward with the help of Mindy, "Give me your hand, Anika!" She had attempted to reach for her friend.

Their Fingers slightly brushing against, yet Ghostface had managed to tip over the ladder.

Anika falling.

She fell.

Serena who had glanced down at the bottom of the alleyway, sobbing as she had seen her friend just laying there, "No, no no. . ." She had slowly began speaking, and backing away from all of them.

She was in a state of shock.

Everyone's eyes were on her.

Sam had attempted to approach her slowly, "Get away from me. . ." Serena said extremely really angrily towards Sam as she had just came out of the little shock phase, eyes were bloodshot red and staring directly at her, "This is your fault, your fault." Serena whispered at her harshly.

Mindy and Danny who just watched. Both not understanding on how to respond to Serena's outburst at Sam.

Sam who just stood there frozen. She couldn't really blame, Serena. She had just witnessed her bestfriend fall off a ladder, and down to her death. So, she had just let Serena lash out, it was better to lash out than bubble up all of your emotions.

Mickey suddenly appeared, "This isn't her fault, Cece. . ." He just wanted to reassure his daughter that the right person to blame is the one who isn't here, "This is Et—"

Serena who held onto her own head, she couldn't deal with this right now, "Get out of my head, Mickey. I don't need you to be telling me shit!" Serena had yelled out, "Anika is gone, she's dead. She left me here all by myself, I don't know how to do it, please make the pain go away, it hurts." She had cried out.

Sam who had just simply approached Serena, and despite Serena attempting to shove her away, Sam managed to pull her into a hug, and just simply tearing up while she held Serena in her own arms, "I got you, it's okay. I got you, let it all out." She reassured Serena.

Serena who just cried in Sam's chest.

Honestly going to give Serena a chase
scene with Ghostface and her. Only reason they haven't killed her is because she's the daughter of Mickey, and want to blame her like they are doing with Sam.

Cried on Serena fighting with Sam, but
Sam still held onto her. </3
