Chapter six,

all eyes on you

"I did some digging on Serena Campbell's mother before getting over here," Gale's voice had boomed really loudly capturing all of their attentions, and instantly making them all turn their heads around quickly, "Abigail Campbell, she used to specialize with women who suffered with infertility issues (Reproductive Endocrinologist). She had gotten fired and her licenses was ultimately revoked for inserting a deceased man's sperm inside of her in the year of two thousand and two." She announced.

Everyone's eyes widened, "It wasn't just any man's sperm, but Mickey Altieri's sperm." Gale slowly finished standing approaching Sam.

Anika stumbled with her own words and trying to find the right way to say this, but she just ripped the bandage off, "I, what? No that's not possibly true, Abigail works at a grocery store, and Serena was born out of a one night stand, she's always told Serena that." She was so confused, and couldn't believe this.

   Gale had offered Anika an apologetic smile at what she had just confirmed, "I'm afraid that Abigail has been lying to your friend for the past nineteen years. . ." She calmly said, "Most likely because she knew exactly what she was doing when she did it." Gale had blurted out to them.

   Chad who remained frozen slowly speaking, "That man that she see's it's him. . ." His eyes had glanced quickly at Gale before shifting his attention towards Sam when he had said this 'cause he had already put two and two, "She's been seeing Mickey Altieri since she was just a little girl, she calls him her Guardian Angel or even so friend because he's always protected her, and including you, Anika." He pointed his finger towards Anika.

   Last night after Serena and him had sex, and as he was helping her get into much more comfortable clothing, and just taking care of her afterwards, she had revealed that private information to him, he noticed that she was afraid that he'd leave her after her confession, but he didn't because Serena means so much to him, that he wants to be here for her. It's why he's coming over to bail her out.

   Sam placed her hand on her mouth, "Oh my god, she hallucinates him. . ." Except she was a little bit confused, "But, how come she didn't know that he was a psycho?" This just wasn't making sense at all.

"He referred to himself as M. . ." Chad slowly said, "And, Serena never was one to want to research any information, she knew that if she were to find information about her biological dad, she'd get her feelings hurt." Stories about kids searching for their biological dad or mom can always be difficult, and a mistake.

   Anika who was just confused learning all of this, "How come I didn't know about those hallucinations she experiences?" She didn't really understand, or was mad at her friend it was that this information was too much.

   Chad who had turned his attention towards Anika, "She didn't want to look like she was going mentally unstable, and losing you as a friend. . ." He had slowly revealed to her before sighing in pure frustration 'cause he hasn't even met Serena's mother and she was already angering him, "And, Serena had told her mom once, and she instantly regretted it." Keeping out the part that Serena's mother had slapped her multiple times for speaking nonsense.

Anika who just nodded her head gently, as they had all arrived towards the Police Station. It was then that Gale had stood in front of all them, and random news reporters were already arriving. She had never once called reporters, or anyone else considering that she didn't want Serena going into public view, but rumors were already spreading.

Gale paused slowly turning around, "I'm gonna need four of you to remain outside of her, so the car can already be started. . ." She said throwing her keys at Tara, "It's most likely that rumors are already spreading on about your friend, and she's going to be in the public eye, and the talk of the week." She revealed.

Sam glanced at Tara, Mindy and alongside Quinn and Ethan, "Start the car, and just beep when you see us." She told her sister.

Tara nodded her head as they had instantly began making their way out, Mindy and Tara shoving the few camera people all up on their faces.

"Let's go bail out your friend."

   Serena had simply remained frozen, eyes glancing at the picture that was placed right in front of her. She couldn't believe it, that her so called imaginary friend was actually her father.

   A serial Killer.

   Ghostface.

   This was why he would always distract her when any killers would be mentioned around her, or when photos were simply being placed on the school projector 'cause he knew she would've figured it out.

   Jumping up from her chair when Detective Bailey had slammed his hands on the table and glancing at him, eyes tearing up, "Where's your fathers mask?" He had questioned her again, "What game are you playing now, huh? Trying to throw us off, and attempting to pin someone else for your crimes?" He commented.

Serena who already felt her tears dribbling down her cheeks, "I don't know where his mask is at, I don't even know what's going on! Please, you have to believe me." She cried out, hands wiping her own tears.

Kirby who just remained silent, and just trying to understand. She can see it in the girls eyes that she has no fucking idea what's going on, as she was about to speak up, and just allowing the girl to take a little break, it was then that Detective Bailey had spoken up once, again.

Detective Bailey who had bitterly chuckled and pulling a chair to sit right across from her, his hands were crossed, "I don't believe a damn word you're speaking, Serena. Is this some just sick plan that Sam and you have both planned together? Hmm, are you the accomplice like your father was to Nancy Loomis? How long until you break, and commit more murders like your dad!?" He given her a stern look.

Kirby who interrupted him before he can take his interrogation even more worst, "That's enough, Bailey." She had given him a glare for making Serena cry this much, "It's obvious that she has no clue about his death, and admitted that she was with Chad Meeks- Martin all night and morning. We can just bring him in, and confirm her alibi." She calmly said when she had glanced at Serena.

Serena who sniffled, wiping her tears away and offering Kirby a soft smile because at least one of them wasn't pestering her like this.

Detective Bailey who scoffed, "How long until she ultimately breaks and turns out exactly like him, and has blood on her hands?" He bitterly said.

Serena who had just yelled out in frustration, slamming her hands in the table and standing herself up, and not losing the eye contact with the Detective, " I will never be like him, I'm not him!" She sneered, and it was the damn truth. She has never once had murder tendencies, she might've lived in a crappy home with her mom, but all she knew was that she wanted to get out of her crappy home, and live a good lifestyle.

   Detective Bailey who stood up, "Sit down you young la—" He had quickly gotten interrupted when the voice of Gale Weathers had boomed.

   "Don't say another word, Serena!" Gale called out, and making Serena turn her head around where she had noticed the news show host lady was there alongside with Chad, Anika and Sam who were across the room.

   Gale had entered the room, and walking towards Serena , "She's done talking with you both. . ." Gale had given Kirby and Detective Bailey a nasty look for all of this, "Next time you want to talk to her, I'll have you personally contact my lawyer." She had slammed her card down on the table.

   Gale had gently held Serena's hand, and taking her out of the room only to be followed by Detective Bailey who made one last snarky comment.

   "Weren't you the one who had wrote in your book something along the lines of a natural born killer, huh? Now you defending the next killer?"

   Chad who was already getting really upset that Serena was getting accused on shit she has never even done, "She was with me the entire night, and morning. She didn't do shit." He had sneered at Detective Bailey.

Detective Bailey who had given Chad a glare before focusing his attention towards Gale, and waiting for her answer.

Gale who had turned her head at Sam before quickly looking back at Detective Bailey and giving an honest answer, "Well, I sometimes write the dumbest shit ever, and I'm not going to let you sit here and accuse a girl just because her father was a previous killer." She truthfully said before speaking once more, "So, we will be leaving."

The five had continued their walk out.

   Serena was panicking. So many camera's were pointed at her direction, and she felt like she was about to lose it. Gale had wrapped her arm around Serena's arm, as Chad wrapped his arm around her other arm.

   "Just Ignore them." Gale breathed out as they began making their attempted way out, she felt so many people bumping into them.

   Serena had felt herself beginning to tear up from all of this, "I don't like this, I don't want this type of attention. . ." She slowly said, tears streaming down her eyes, "Keep your head down, Serena." Chad had just slowly whispered that into her own ear.

   She didn't want to be known as the daughter of some fucking serial killer, she didn't fucking want this at all.

   "Back up! Back up!"

   Sam and Anika who were just shoving people away.

A microphone had somehow managed to be instantly shoved against Serena's face, "How does it feel to know that your father, Mickey Altieri was a past serial killer? Are you attempting to finish up his legacy, and taking revenge on Samantha Loomis because of her grandmother killing your father?" Chad had shoved them away from Serena's face.

The sound of a beep captured their attention.

They had all instantly walked much more faster than they were before, and quickly approaching the vehicle, Sam who had opened the back car door, and just ushering them to all enter inside.

Serena being the very first one to enter the car. Alongside with Chad, Gale and Anika right behind, and just as Sam was about to close it, a news reporter had suddenly appeared.

"Is Serena Campbell your accomplice?"

Sam who had instantly scoffed at the stupidity being said, and had just clenched her jaw at the man's question who was waiting for her response like a fucking animal thirsty for shit, "You know what, fuck it already."

She had punched him on the face, and instantly going inside the car, as they had all instantly sped off after this horrible morning events.

   Leaving Serena who remained silent the entire car ride until she had fell asleep, leaning her head on Chad's shoulder who just had their hands intertwined.
