•Chapter 2: Former Lost Boys•

After telling us that he knows where Sam is, Katherine and I follow Fletcher along the docks until we get to an abandoned warehouse, more specifically, the warehouse where we had to deal with Vincent back in Storybrooke.

"You could live anywhere down here and you chose to live here?" I question.

"We're Lost Boys," Fletcher laughs, "we aren't used to comfort."

The silence continues to fill the air as we walk towards the warehouse. When we enter, there isn't much to see, only pillows, blankets, a small table, and an old-looking couch but that's about it.

"Where is everybody?" Katherine asks.

"Probably out getting food," he answers, "like I was."

I watch as he places his bag on the table before he walks over to the couch as the door opens. Katherine and I turn towards the door to see the silhouette of a tall boy standing in the doorway.

"Sam?" Katherine says as she squints.

"Nope," the boy responds as he closes the door behind him, letting us get a better look at his face to see someone I never thought I would see again.

"Harry," I gasp as I walk over to him.

"Everly?" he questions as he pulls me in for a hug, "what are you doing here?"

"Long story," I answer as we end our hug, "I thought you'd be moved on with Toby by now."

"Can't find him."

"Has he already moved on?"

"His tombstone still stands, so nope."

"What?"

He lets out a quiet sigh before we walk back over towards the two behind us. Fletcher moves off of the cushion of the couch and to the arm before Harry has Katherine and I sit on the couch before he sits on the other arm.

"The tombstones down here tell us what happened to a soul," Harry explains, "if it's standing, they're still here. If it's knocked over, they moved on to a better place. And if it's cracked, they moved on to someplace horrible."

After he finishes his explanation, we all sit in silence as we process what Harry just told us before a question comes to my head that I should have asked when I first saw the boy.

"What about Harper?" I question as I look over to Fletcher, "I thought she'd be here with you."

"Like Toby, we don't know where she is," Fletcher sighs before he looks to the floor, "just that she hasn't moved on yet."

"So, if they're not here with you," Katherine says, "who is?"

"Myself, Harry, Sam, and..."

Fletcher is cut off by the door opening and closing before we all turn to see someone who I wanted to see again.

"Vincent."

When he looks up at the sound of his name, his eyes widen into two small oceans when he sees Katherine and me.

"What are they doing here?" he questions.

"They're looking for Sam," Harry answers, "do you know where he is?"

As if on cue, the door opens and another boy walks in with two bags in each of his hands.

"Right there," Vincent states as he takes a seat on the table.

When the boy in the doorway's eyes land on Katherine and I, the bags in his hands fall to the floor before he rushes over to us and pulls us in for a tight, bear hug.

"How are you guys here?" Sam asks before he ends the hug and just stares at us with his big blue eyes, "what are you doing here?"

"Rumpelstiltskin was able to bring us here so that Emma can looking for Hook," I answer before sending him a smile, "and we can look for you.

"We here to bring you home," Katherine finishes before placing a gentle kiss on Sam's lips.

After the initial shock of the situation fades, Katherine and I explain to the confused boy about the heart split and how he and Katherine could share a heart if their love is true.

"You really think that could work?" Sam asks.

"Yeah. The only problem is that I can't do it," I tell him, "taking someone's heart uses dark magic."

"I can do it."

At the sound of his voice, all of us, including Fletcher and Harry, turn to stare at Vincent in complete and utter shock.

"Why would you want to help us?" I ask.

"Believe it or not, princess, but you and your lap dog are part of my unfinished business," he states, "along with Harry and Toby."

"We are?" I question.

"Lapdog?" I hear Sam say.

"Once I found out that you guys were telling the truth and actually tried to come back for me, all I could feel was guilt at how selfish I was being and I took Toby down with me," he tells us, "my unfinished business is to get the forgiveness from those I've wronged."

"I'm sure we can help with that," I respond then look to Harry and Fletcher, "we can help you, too."

"Don't think so," Harry sighs.

"We can't move on without Harper and Toby," Fletcher explains.

"At least let us try and help you," I say, "it shouldn't be too hard."

"Yeah," Katherine continues, "we know every inch of Storybrooke. It should be a piece of cake."

"If you say so," Harry says.

"We do."

As soon as it's decided that we're going to help all these former Lost Boys move on, Vincent begins to walk over to us before he makes Katherine and Sam stand next to each other.

"This might hurt," he warns Katherine before she nods and takes in a shaky breath.

Her gasp fills the air when Vincent plunges his hand into her chest and pulls out her heart before he puts a hand on both sides of it and twists it, causing Katherine to cry out in pain. He stares at the ginger girl in front of him for a long, silent moment before he then pulls the two halves apart, causing her to gasp once again. As soon as Vincent has one half of her heart in each hand, he plunges his hands in both Katherine's and Sam's before he brings them out empty.

"Did it work?" I ask.

"Yeah," Fletcher says, "Sam has that feeling to him. He's alive."

At Fletcher's announcement, Sam turns to Katherine before he grabs her wrist and pulls her in for a kiss. When they pull apart, they just stare at each other for a moment before the biggest smile I've ever seen forms on Katherine's face.

"I love you," she tells him, causing Sam to stare at her in shock before a matching smile makes its way onto his face.

"I love you, too."

As soon as they end their moment, Sam turns his attention over to me, still keeping his familiar silly smile plastered, onto his face before he walks over to me and pulls me in for another hug.

"Thank you for coming for me," he whispers.

"You don't need to thank me," I tell him, "I'm never leaving you behind."

As soon as we end our hug, my phone goes off, causing me to let out a sigh before I pull out my phone to see a text from Emma.

Meet us at the cemetery. We found a way to find Hook.

After rereading her text a few times, I look up to the three boys that are sitting on the couch to find them staring back at me with curiosity on their faces.

"Know how to get to the cemetery?" I ask.
