Leah White

"Leah, wake up!" 

"Leah, please!" 

"I cannot live without you!"

Leah woke up with a start. Why was her mind summoning Sirius Black into her dreams? 

Leah sat up in her bed. The room she was in was dark, and didn't seem at all like her cozy bed in the Gryffindor common room. First of all, the bed was a little uncomfortable. Second, there was no red curtain hangings. Third, there was a needle stuck up her arm. 

Leah was deathly afraid of needles. As soon as she saw the IV like needle, she screamed internally. Leah realized where she was. Why was she in the hospital wing? Then she saw the scars. Loads of them. 

She took a deep breath, then looked around. It was day, but then where was Madam Pomfrey? Leah wished there was a little bell she could ring that would summon Madam Pomfrey to her. 

She vaguely remembered what had happened to her that caused this. There was a figure coming closer, asking her for locations.......she said she didn't know....then things went a little blurry, but Leah saw the hooded figure raising a wand...muttering the torture curse......Leah could still feel the hoarseness in her voice from all the screaming....soon after that a knife was taken out....and then Leah must have fallen into unconsciousness. 

Leah let out a little squeak of fear, which Madam Pomfrey apparently heard, then came running over to her. 

"Miss White, you're awake!" Madam Pomfrey said in relief. "You are mostly cleaned up and healed, except for the scars, we can get rid of the knife scars by this potion, but the curse scars will never go away." 

"H-how do you know there was a knife?" Leah asked weakly, as she tried to lay back down. Her back ached. 

Madam Pomfrey chuckled. "I'm a matron, Miss White, I know knife scars when I see one," 

"Oh." Leah was intrigued. Most of the scars were from the knife; the smallest ones were from Crucio. So she didn't mind that much about the scars not going away, not unless they hurt. But she was interested to see the scars going away. 

Madam Pomfrey poured a jar of some pink liquid on to a spoon, and handed it to Leah. "Don't drink it right away, hold the spoon in your mouth and keep it there for thirty seconds." Madam Pomfrey instructed. 

Leah sat up again and took the spoon, then placed it carefully in her mouth. Unlike some other medicine she had tasted, this one tasted horrible. Leah had to use all her self-restraint to keep it in her mouth. 

Leah watched as Madam Pomfrey got another jar of liquid ready, this one black. "You may drink the potion now," Madam Pomfrey said, and Leah drank it, as disgusting as it was. 

"Now, Miss White, do you remember anything from last night?" 

"Uh- yes, everything." Leah replied. She was too busy watching the scars slide away on her arms and stomach.  

"Oh okay, then just take a sip of this potion," Madam Pomfrey handed her a small medicine cup filled with the black potion. Leah drank it. This one tasted okay, like black licorice, which she was not the biggest fan of. 

As soon as she drank it, Leah found her memory going blurry. Blurry, blurry then dark. What had happened exactly? She knew why she was in the hospital wing, she knew about the knife and curse, but she didn't have those traumatizing memories of sitting on the floor in the courtyard anymore. What exactly was she doing in the courtyard at midnight in the first place? Leah couldn't even remember. 

"Ok Miss White, if you feel 100%, then you may leave, with assistance." 

Not wanting to stay in the hospital wing any longer, she told Madam Pomfrey the following names that she wanted to help her out of the hospital. "Alice Fortescue, Lily Evans, Marlene McKinnon, Sirius Black- and maybe James Potter." 

At the last two names, Madam Pomfrey shuddered. "I will go see if Miss Fortescue, Miss Evans or Miss McKinnon is available." 

Leah didn't know why Madam Pomfrey didn't want to ask James or Sirius.

Leah had walked out, supported (physically and mentally) by Lily, who was the only one who had a free period that time, and had finished her homework. 

"Leah, you had no idea! We were so worried when we found you earlier today....it was 7 am, and Marlene was out of bed, and couldn't find you.....so she checked the courtyard and there you were....raced to get us.......don't go out again! And what in the world were you doing there at night?! That's practically asking for trouble!" Lily scolded. Lily had been doing all the talking since they left the Hospital Wing. They had now arrived at Gryffindor Tower. 

Classes had now ended, and the common room was filled. The two were greeted at the portrait hole by Marlene and Alice, both who hugged Leah and told her how much they missed her. 

"You BETTER never do that again!" Marlene warned, and Alice nodded. Leah smiled. 

She had settled down in the couch in front of the fire, when Sirius showed up. 

"Hey Leah!" He said happily. "I've missed you-" 

"It's been one day!" Leah said, though she was happy to see him too. "Yeah, but.." Sirius said. "Anyways, there is so much I have to tell you about!" 

Alice scoffed. The rest of the Golden Gang was sitting at a table not far away from Leah. "Nothing good. He and his friends raided the hospital wing, demanding to see you, and when they couldn't, they trashed the place!" 

Leah turned, shocked to Sirius. He wasn't smiling anymore. "It was James's idea!" He said, pointing the blame to James, who was talking to Remus and Peter a few feet away. 

"It was not!" James fumed. "You were the one following Leah's little sister, hoping to get inside!" 

"Reagan?!" Leah exclaimed. Whenever her sister was involved, Leah got really angry and protective. "What did you do to her?!" 

"He literally traumatized her," Marlene said truthfully. "And she ran away in tears," Lily added. 

Leah rounded on Sirius. "YOU UPSET MY SISTER?!" She yelled at him. Now the common room was looking at Leah, the usually quiet girl who had returned from the hospital wing. 

"I- I didn't, I promise, she just-" Sirius started, but Leah turned around and didn't look at him. She was facing her friends, and Lily mouthed, "They haven't changed." 

Leah mouthed back, "I know. I thought they did." 

In which Alice mouthed, "Bad habits never die." 

Marlene mouthed back, "Idiots through and through." 

There was a silence between the Golden Gang and the Marauders. The common room had stopped gawking at them, and had returned to their homework, or talking or whatever they has been doing before. 

After a few minutes, Sirius said quietly, "I'm sorry, Leah." 

Leah turned around, to see Sirius with his head hung in shame. The Golden Gang was shocked. As far as they knew, that was the first real apology they had ever seen Sirius give. 

So were the Marauders. This was Sirius's real first apology. 

Leah sighed. This wasn't the first apology Sirius had given her, which reminded her that he still was the same, sometimes arrogant boy who didn't think before he spoke. 

But Leah knew that deep-down, he had a kind heart. So she said, "Sirius, I forgive you." 

The Marauders grinned, and Sirius looked up with an ecstatic smile on his face. The Golden Gang had little small smiles on their faces, despite how much they disliked Sirius. 

"So we're good?" Sirius asked her. "Of course we're good!" Leah replied, then hugged him. While hugging him, she whispered, "Just don't ever upset my sister again, and then we're good." 

Sirius chuckled in response. As Leah pulled away, Sirius asked, "if you feel up for it, meet me tomorrow night at 10pm in the entrance hall." 

Then Sirius got up, and went up to the boys dorms with the Marauders. 

The Golden Gang was shocked. They moved from the table to the couch with Leah. "Are you actually going to go with him?" Alice asked. 

"I say do it, Leah, he might show you something cool!" Marlene insisted. "I'm not sure.." Lily said. "What if you get caught?" 

"Sirius is a master of sneaking around," Marlene replied. "Do it, Leah! But no pressure or anything." 

"Fine, I'll do it." Leah said, and Marlene whooped. So did Alice, as she knew that it would mean bonding time between Sirius and her friend. 

Lily looked hesitant. "I guess if you really want to, it's fine....but just be careful, Black can be tricky!" 

"Lils, stop being such a worry wart." Marlene elbowed her friend. "Leah'll be fine!" 

Leah grinned. She was actually becoming excited. 

Only one thing bothered her: What had she been doing last midnight?

Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait!! I'm getting really into this story again, so I'm excited to write more chapters! I might try to update tomorrow or the next day, something exciting is going to happen ;)

These chapters have been kinda bland lately, so next chapters turn should make it better. Now we also have a mystery on our hands! Hope you enjoyed, thanks so much for reading!
