𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐇 𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄'𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐂𝐇, Nicholas did as he had told Ava, he got onto a plan the moment he texted her. He already planned going to her after he had called with his mother. His mother wasn't supposed to tell him the real reason behind her novel, but she couldn't see their friendship fall apart another time.

Nicholas hesitated to speak first, they only greeted each other but nothing else. They both didn't know what to say, but Ava knew he had to start the conversation, he was the one that wanted to talk in the first place.

"I didn't listen to you, I've noticed that I'm being selfish these past weeks, not only to you but to others. I regret lashing out at you like that, it should never have happend." Nicholas nervously started to apologize to the girl.

"It's for a reason that we were pulled back together by god, not speaking for almost two weeks to you made me want to pull my hair out." His voice had more emotion in it than she's ever heard.

"It happend 2 years ago." Ava whispered softly.

"I thought I had met the perfect man, he was everything every girl dreamed of. He would buy you flowers, gifts, show you affection and would tell you the sweetest things." Ava started her story off. "Then after 6 months of dating it all changed, he started 'accidentally' pushing me and lashing out, it got more abusive and hurtful as the weeks passed." She didn't dare to look him in the eyes, she could never when she told someone about it.

"Then the mental abuse started, saying hurtful things, messing with my head, heaving shouting and swearing, just these mind games he had." Ava was confused on how she didn't notice it got worse back then.

"The physical abuse was the worst, he would hit me so hard that I couldn't even be seen withouth makeup. I thought it would be over after a few weeks, that he would just have an episode or something and that all of it was over." Nicholas took one of her hands for comfort.

"After a while Connor, my friend, noticed that I was acting off and discovered my bruises. He put an end to all of it, he told my old boyfriend off and went to the police. I didn't mean to look like it was you in the book. But how you are normally to me is how he used be with me, I didn't want to hurt you." Ava looked up for the first time in minutes, Nicholas had glossy eyes, he felt so bad for her.

"This is horrible Av, I'm so sorry. I feel so bad for yelling at you and thinking so bad of you, you know that I don't think you're a bad person right? Come here." Nicholas opened his arms for Ava, she immediatly took the chance to be in his arms.

Nicholas softly stroked her long brown hair, giving her some kissed on the head for reassurance. He hated himself for acting that way towards her, not only that but for not being there when she wanted to tell him that night. Ava let out a heavy breath that she was holding and started to cry. It was the first time telling someone after so long.

"I've had help with it, but it's still so hard." Ava tried to explain between sniffles.

"You don't have to explain Av, I believe and trust you. I'm here and we can stay like this the whole night if you want." He placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Thank you Nic."

"In the end it's always us Ava."

𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐈𝐑𝐋 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐈𝐌, she looked so peaceful after the heavy night they just had. After their talk, the two drank some tea and put on the series they were watching together. Ava was tired of their heavy conversation and the crying, so she quickly fell asleep next to him on the couch. She was leaning against his shoulder, her hair was messy and her lashes laid beautifully on her eyes.

He didn't want Ava to sleep uncomfortable, so he placed his arms around her legs and shoulders in bridal style, he brought her up to the bedroom and placed her softly on the bed. Ava was a light sleeper, so she opened her eyes softly.

"Can you stay, only if it's until I fall asleep?" The girl asked him tired.

Nicholas couldn't say no to her and he hadn't booked an hotel yet. So he laid next to her in the bed, Nic placed his arm around her waist and closed his eyes softly. Ava fell asleep a few moments after Nic put his arm around her, everything was finally normal between them.

No lies, no fights, no hatred.

"𝐃𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐀?" Nicholas asked Ava nervously. They were on their way to meet with Ava's friends. She told them about everything that had happend in America, so he had to make up with them aswell, in Connor's words.

"They won't bite, but they'll be stubborn at first when it comes to you." Ava told her him as if it was nothing. She found it quite funny that he was so nervous to meet them.

Ava spotted her friend group sitting at the restaurant, she quickly picked up the pace and greeted them. Nicholas stood next to her silently, not knowing what to do. Miles was the first one to greet Nicholas.

"Dude, wait for a hug, we don't know if he apologized to her." Connor stopped Miles in his tracks, Ava rolled her eyes at his comment, but found it quite sweet of her friend.

"Everyone meet Nicholas Alexander Chavez, he did apologize and has been very sweet to me." Ava gave Connor a stern look, which he rolled his eyes to. Nicholas gave everyone a sweet smile and greeted them.

"Okay Nicholas, impress us." Evelyn joined Connor's demeanor.
