"Oh my Goodness. Yes! Devante I would be your girlfriend." Daphne, one of Matilda's click said. I groaned in frustration to that statement. I had to hold my rising anger and jealousy. Couldn't they get a room or something? I sighed knowing I was only feeling this way because it was finally the 14th of February and I wasn't going to say yes to any guy any time soon. Even If I wanted to, Zoe wouldn't let that happen as she was constantly on her toes making me look bad in front of every guy I come across. 

I shook the thought out of my head and left the class room. It was 8am in the morning and I needed to be at the sports center of our school. Its located behind the school. Thank Goodness. It wasn't a 100 mile apart. I got to the sports center just in time to find all the students in Emerald house on the basketball courts. They were all with Samuel Dawson who was helping them deliberate and strategize on how to deliver their A game . 

I had already worn my emerald gown with all the necessary accessories needed to bring up my look, not to mention my makeup was outstanding. I guess that explains why immediately I came into view they all keep quiet staring at me with astonishment. It was only few of the students who  mumbled a greeting to me. I smiled at them as I played with my fingers nervously, I couldn't help the heat that creeped up to my face when Samuel Dawson spoke.

"Whao, you look more stunning than my imagination, your Majesty."

I giggled at his response and signaled for him to get up.

"Your Majesty? Really, please Chloe will do." I said still blushing as he stared at me in awe. Closing the gap between us, he brought my hand to his lips and planted a soft kiss on it. I had to fight the urge not to faint as I fanned myself slightly with my free hand. The sound of Michael Jordan's voice broke us off as he growled at Samuel to back off.

"Hey! Paws off my Queen." He practically yelled, before I knew it, they had started a cat fight bickering back and fort. I had to resist the urge to face palm because of the heavy make up I had. I didn't want to ruin it at least not yet, Especially because I didn't it my self. cleared my throat loudly and glared at them causing them to automatically shut up.

"We apologize for our manners your Majesty."

I just sighed and nodded in acknowledgment. I walked forward passing Samuel and  Michael and made my stance in front of the rest of the students who were in Emerald house. I cleared my throat a bit before speaking making sure my voice was strong while at it.

"Today is the day we have worked so hard for, the day of our annual Inter House Sports. The day we Emerald House show Sapphire, Cristal and Ruby houses has got nothing on us! I know that we are all scared and somewhat nervous. But hey, don't give into the pressure, we Emerald house are a part of something bigger than ourselves, let's use it to our advantage and redefine who we are. Now go out there and show them what kind of Emerald we are!!!"

After the pep talk I gave, everyone cheers and started trooping to the field and I followed behind them with Samuel and Michael on both my sides. Getting to the field, I noticed the other houses were all arranging themselves on the track getting ready for the match past so we fell in place which was in between Cristal and Ruby. I stood beside Michael Jordan as his Queen as the match past began.

"Hey, you look more stunning than ever by the way."

"Thanks M.J, you look rather ravishing."

"Oh please don't flatter me. By the way that was some awesome pep talk back there. You really hit some nerves."

"Awwwwn thank you."

"No. Thank you, for being so beautiful inside and out... Now lets crush this competition" He said with a huge grin on his face while he closed his eyes. I didn't know why but at this point he looked a lot like Jin Mori - from The God of High School. I sighed averting my eyes from him before he caught me staring. If I was blushing before then now I was as red as a tomato. I quickly shook it off and put on my game face as the match past started with the Sapphire house going first.

By the time it was 3pm, most of the inter house sport competition was over and now all the four house where standing on the field waiting for the overall results to be announced. Michael Jordan and Samuel Dawson were both by my sides, they were both clenching on to me terrified, if only I had someone else to clench onto as well.

"It's the moment we have finally been waiting for. Students, Teachers, it was a tough choice but the judges were able to come to a decision. So first place overall goes to.... Emerald house!!!!!" I heard immediately.

"Congratulations. You guys really earned it, using Alessia Clara song, Wild Things as your theme song for your match past, that was pretty bold."

I was beyond shocked. I knew we would win but for a moment I was having doubts even though we had worked our butts off for the position of first place. I couldn't hold in my happiness as tears of joy started trickling from my eyes.

Me, Samuel and Michael finally pulled ourselves together and stepped out along with few other members of the Emerald House. The tears were still running freely from my eyes denting my perfect make up while the guys were being macho, not letting a single tear out of their eyes.

With Samuel, Michael and Jodee collecting most of the medals during the competition, it was crystal clear we would get the first place trophy but I was still scared and skeptical about this whole thing. Never the less, I was really proud of all of our hard work. We stood and took a few pictures in front of the crowd who were cheering us. After which the second and third place was announced, which were Ruby and Cristal. I wasn't surprised  that Sapphire house came fourth, I mean Zoe was in that group, what were you expecting?.

I was currently in science class with Jodee, we were both changing from our outfit from the inter house sport. And just when I was finding it difficult to get out of my extremely long emerald dress she came to my aid. Once we were properly dressed in our casual jeans and plain round neck T-shirt I asked.

"So, who is the lucky boy that swept Jodee off her feet?"

"I honesty have no idea what you are talking about." She said in her thick South African accent as her face became bright pink. I smirked at her and responded.

"Awwwwwn you're blushinggg. So there is a lucky boy, care to share?"

"Hmmmmmmmmmm oh alright. It's MJ, we... We are going to Ocean Baskets at Ikeja tonight."

"Holy peachies!! M.J? As in the M.J... As in my supposed King of Emerald house?"

"Umm, yea, that M.J. What do you think?"

"You guys would make a wonderful couple."

"Will you come help me get ready? I suddenly lost my dress sense."

"Sure I guess I'll come along to help find it" I said with a genuine smile on my face. Once we had both packed our clothes into our bags, we took our leave. Descending the stairs we met Zoe and Neefesat on there way up and I had to hold my self from clawing at her face for spilling her drink on my Emerald gown on purpose. Neefesat who witnessed the whole thing just gave me an apologetic smile. She hurried Zoe up the stairs before she attacked me with that ever so present nasty scowl on her face.

I got Downstairs and I decided to follow Jodee so I could help her get ready for her date with Michael Jordan. I still couldn't believe all this while that Michael had a thing for Jodee. I guess he must have great taste for South African ladies for him to pick her. We got to her house around past 4pm and I was just glad her house wasn't so far from mine.

"Whoa, you have a really beautiful room" I commented.

"Please, it's nothing compared to Joan's room. Its like a whole new world in there." She responded and I just chuckled as we both walked into her walk-in closest. The minute I walked in, one of her Emerald gown caught my eye and I couldn't resist the urge to pull it out of it rack. She noticed my movement and turned to me only to catch me holding out the gown for her. I grinned  at her and said...

"See what you like Missy?"

"Oh my God, was that in here the whole time?"

I chuckled at her response and we got to work. First things first, she went to take a shower before we started with her make up. I am glad I took make up class 2 years ago if not I wouldn't be able to achieve this evening look without making it pop too much. Once I was done, I helped her with her hair which was done into half up fishtail braid.

Moving on, I helped her into her gown and then her shoes. I made sure I took a lot of pictures and videos of her and a few of both of us together on my iPhone 11pro. By the time we were done, it was already 5pm so I decided to get busy hyping her and posting about it on social media. Exact 2mins past 5pm her phone began to vibrate and I grinned saying.

" Hhhey its your baee."

"Phew thank God, for a moment I thought he was going to Chicken out."

"Nah the Michael I know and remember as my sit partner in JSS 1 is a man of his word. Now pick your call."

She picked up her IPhone 12 and answered the call. Her smile and blush never leaving her face as she conversed with him. Thirty minutes later, we were all in M.J's car. I was at the back sit with my earphones on while M.J and Jodee were in the front sit. They  dropped me in front of my  house first before they zoomed off to their date.

I was too exhausted to even look around for any of my family members. Heck I was even lucky enough to find out they weren't around. I just locked the door of the house and headed to my room. On getting there, I found Molly and Antonio sitting comfortably on my bed and study chair. To say I was shocked was an understatement.

I just stood there and stared at them in utter disbelieve. So many questions were running through my mind but they were all answered with the huge banner which says "Happy Valentines day bestiee" and balloons that were in my room. I just stared at them as tears were threatening to flow from my eyes. I couldn't control it anymore and neither could they as we both rushed into each others arms to have a group hug.
