❛ NO I DIDN'T MAKE HIM
CRY, BUT FELIX DID! ❜
𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙇𝙄𝙏𝙏𝙇𝙀 𝙂𝙄𝙍𝙇 𝘽𝙇𝙀𝙒 𝙊𝙐𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘾𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙇𝙀 after filling her cheeks with air. Smiling when she pulled away from the small round German chocolate cake, the thick smoke moved through the air. As she listened to the claps and cheers around her, she turned to the other little girl sitting next to her. She opened her arms and reached them out to embrace the darker-skinned girl to her right. Their smiles were brighter than the sun, bigger than a whale shark, and filled with even more joy than the happiest person on Earth.
"What did you wish for, sweetheart?" The older man leaned down a bit, watching her giggle in anticipation while she and her friend covered their mouths with their little hands.
"I can't tell you, Daddy. It's a secret," she giggled again as he shrugged it off and tickled her side a little bit.
"Alright, alright. I won't ask again," he exclaimed before going to retrieve a knife to cut the cake. "Who wants cake?"
The rest of the small kids with pointed birthday hats snapped on their heads and squealed in excitement, throwing their arms up. Some jumped up and down, adding screaming to their jumping. A rented princess bounce castle swayed in the back, behind all the of the kids running back and forth in front of it. Most of the kids dressed in high-end costumes, while the rest of the kids wore the last-minute costumes you would find on the day of Halloween. Some were too tight, some were too big — but who cared, the birthday girl was beyond happy. The darker girl leaned towards her friend to whisper in her ear, "What did you wish for?"
"I wished for you to be my best friend forever and ever." She held out a tiny pinky, the number '7' candle still stuck in the middle of the cake as the others were being picked out. Her friend quickly whipped out her pinky, in her different-colored but matching costume.
"Promise won't be no icky boys around?"
"Promise."
"The biggest slice for the birthday girl!"
Bethany rubbed her thumb over the silver sterling picture frame the held onto the memorable picture with a pout on her lips. Her red, cherry lip gloss shined at the glint of the low lighting in the pink-covered room. She knitted her eyebrows together as her eyes began to get teary just reminiscing on the event that was captured in the single photo. "Aw. We were so happy this day."
Effie sat at the edge of her messy bed, sporting the purple flower-printed toe separators as she applied the soft pink color to her toenails. She looked up to see what her friend was doing and furrowed her eyebrows, "Of course we were happy. We were kids, Beth."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Bethany set down the picture frame, reaching up to wipe the small tear falling down her puffy cheek before she looked at Effie's ass cheeks coming out of the shorts she wore around the house. Bethany couldn't lie and say that she has never been jealous of Effie and her figure — frankly, anyone wouldn't be able to lie. However, Bethany is jealous in her face making her best friend tell her that she didn't need to look like her to be beautiful. And she just ignored the copious amounts of men across the campus that would love to take her on the town — or maybe just shag her in the back of their car. "Now, we're worrying about maths test results and stuff."
Bethany went back to the chair she was sitting in before she noticed the picture. The amount of times she's been to her room and forgotten that the picture has been sitting on the computer desk. "Only you are worrying about maths. I got a ninety-two on the last one."
"Of course you do. How do you do it? I feel like I'm drowning in this school stuff."
Effie shrugged her shoulders as they began to smell the little finger foods being made in the kitchen downstairs. She doesn't have an answer for that, not knowing how she's doing it. "B. I do not know, I surprise myself every day."
She began to lightly blow on the wet nail polish, trying to get it to dry before she put on the outfit she picked out for tonight.
Today, Effie decided to throw a little party to get the students back into the school attitude, well it probably won't be a little party since people like to tell people. The weather is still nice and the sun is set to come out today. If there's an event hosted by Effie Koach, people are going to know. Whether it's a school event or something at her house, there's going to be more people than the ones she invited. And yes she could say no to them entering her house, but she's learned that she loves the popularity and her mother just loves having people in the house. "Ugh, I wish. I knew I shouldn't have picked to be an accountant. Maybe I can be a maths teacher or Financial Analyst."
"You would still have to do a lot of maths for both, Beth."
"Shit."
Bethany Pembroke. One of Effie's closest friends growing up, aside from Sasha who works at a clothing store in the city and graduated last year. Her story is a bit normal compared to other people at Oxford, her father met her mother at a young age — had Bethany. See? Nothing out of the original. That is, until her father got arrested for selling 'study drugs' to some of the students in her Mathematics class. Bethany's mother did everything in her power to keep her daughter from being expelled; money being the main successor. Luckily, the scandal wasn't a bad thing since no one from her class opened their mouth about what her father was doing — besides the one that got him in trouble. Bethany has been here for Effie through tears and tissues because of Felix. It wasn't because he kept breaking her heart, they've never specified that they were an official thing anyway. As Farleigh says numerous times, he or any other guy can hit on Effie and do it successfully, yet Farleigh is the main guy doing it in her face. But Felix has said numerous times, that the day he sees someone hit on Effie, he'll knock their head clean off — into the next year. And Bethany has never said anything bad about Felix because she does think that he means what he says and does.
Hobbling across the carpet onto the tile that covered the rest of the massive house, Effie passed by the numerous amount of hanging pictures of her and her family. Mostly, pictures of her being a spoiled child — the birthday parties, the school events to her sweet sixteen, and prom. Her parents took pride in their only daughter and tried to let everyone know that their daughter was the apple of their eye. Always has been and always will be. Effie's hands were out to her sides as she went down the elongated staircase, seeing her mother and her high heels clicked towards the door. Multiple people walked around the house, carrying long tables and chairs into the large backyard. Probably trying to avoid falling into the pool the sat dead set in the middle of the ground. She rushed to the door while her mother's voice got louder, speaking on the phone with a client maybe. Effie skipped across the floor when she got to the bottom of the staircase, getting to the large double doors first.
Her mother stopped walking to wait by the small table that sat in the middle of the spacious foyer of the house, tapping her French tip nails against the wood. She waited for Effie to open one of the doors. Effie signed, unlocking it and opening it to let in the enormous amount of the setting sunlight that shined on the person who rang the doorbell. "Ah, you're finally here, yay!"
He hugged her before pulling back and placing a quick kiss on the corner of her mouth, "Babe, you're having a back-to-school pool party. You can never be late to one."
"You're right, but I need you to help me pick a bathing suit." After pulling back, her 3X sleeping shirt dropped back down after he set her back on the ground. Effie turned around, got to the round table, and picked a piece of freshly placed fruit from the gold tray to pop in her mouth.
Do you know how some families set themselves on wearing silver? The Koach's set themselves on every metal being gold unless it has to be silver. Which is never right. To the Koach's.
"I thought you said earlier that your suit was picked out?"
Effie shrugged her shoulders, dropping them with the swallow of the piece of fruit, "Always need a third opinion. Bethany couldn't make up her mind on the options that I gave her."
"Farleigh, sweetie!" Mrs. Koach reached her long arms out when she finally hung her phone call up and saw her favorite daughter's friend in her house. Waiting until he came to her, she embraced him with her coco-scented perfume, his curly hair tickling the side of her face. The two pulled back as if they hadn't seen each other in decades, "Why don't you come by anymore?"
Farleigh peered over his shoulder to glare at Effie and then back at her mother. "I think you should ask your daughter that because she likes to be with Felix more than me."
Effie's mother began to giggle, knowing that what Farleigh just said was true. She does invite Felix over more than him and it was clearly getting to him. Farleigh is one of Effie's closest friends and for her to have her boyfriend-not-boyfriend over her house more than her best guy friend was just picking favorites in Farleigh's eyes. Being cousins, Felix and Farleigh did seem to fight over the pretty pink princess Effie multiple times a day. Farleigh wants to take her to get food, while Felix wants to bring her to the pub and then Farleigh wants to take her to see a movie. It's always tit-for-tat with those two.
Would Farleigh go so far as to say that he's developed a small, little crush on Effie?
He would never give anyone the satisfaction of knowing his actual answer.
"Honey, why doesn't he come over anymore?" Mrs. Koach turned over to her daughter who had one of her eyebrows raised, chewing on some more fruit that was on the tray in front of her.
Effie shrugged her shoulders, "Mama, you know he sleeps in my bed 24/7 when we're at Uni. He doesn't leave me alone."
"Hmm. Anywho, he needs to start coming over some more. Okay, I have work to do." Mrs. Koach kissed Farleigh on the cheek and let him go with Effie. Farleigh reached over grabbed a red apple, interlocking his fingers with Effie's, and walked behind her to walk upstairs.
Farleigh took a bite of the apple as they reached the top of the stairs, seeing the door to her bedroom was set wide open. He let go of her hand and skipped into it, plopping onto the surface of her bed, and bouncing a bit before seeing Bethany sitting in the hanging chair in the corner. "Hi babe."
"Hi, Farleigh," she spoke with a cheeky smile on her face, blush rushing to her pale cheeks while the room continued to fill with the sounds of crunching apple. Beth pressed on the bridge of her glasses to push them up. What nobody knows is that Bethany has an actual schoolgirl crush on Mr. Farleigh. From his curly hair to his brutish height — to his very American accent, Bethany would think of him every night she was reminded of his existence. Maybe even going so far as to slide her hand into her panties to pleasure herself from just the thought of his voice in her ear. From time to time.
Effie introduced the two when she began messing with Felix. And Bethany has been head over heels ever since, yet, she doesn't think that Farleigh even notices. Though she tries every time she's in his presence to show him that she wants him, needs him. "Alright, let's get down to business. Where are the sexy suits?"
"I'm not going for sexy, Far. I just wanna go for cute and laid back."
"Ugh. No matter what you say, we always go for sexy, Effie." He perked up his thick eyebrows, snapping another bite of the crisp red apple in his hand. "Okay go ahead and pull them out."
Effie walked to her closet, pulling out a black Baby Phat bikini, a brown and pink one-piece, and a lavender bedazzled three-piece. She laid them out on the bed, in front of Farleigh — letting him analyze each option as he looked back and forth between her and the bikinis. In his head, he pictured every bikini on her, making sure that he took his time. "Do you have a cover for the black one?"
"I thought you said we're going for sexy, why do I need a coverup now?" Effie responded cheekily.
Finishing off the apple, he took the core away from his mouth. "I said sexy, not whore-ish. Your ass would literally be hanging out for all to see."
Bethany stood up, walked over to the bed, and scanned over the options for her opinion. "I told her I liked the one piece."
"I say that it's covering way too much, but it's Effie's choice on what she wants to pick." Effie scoffed, hanging her mouth open at her two friends.
"Are you serious? I called you guys over early to help me pick one bathing suit out, not tell me it's my choice. I couldn't fuckin' pick one in the first place." As she was ranting a bit, the doorbell rang once more downstairs, stressing Effie out even more. Feeling like people are standing outside already, "Farleigh, can you—"
"On it, beautiful," Farleigh stood up with a huff, his swim shorts rustling on his way out of the room just after throwing the apple core away in her bedroom trashcan.
Once the two girls could hear that he was officially halfway down the stairs by the sound of his shorts, Effie came closer to Bethany with a dimple-y smile on her smooth face. "When the hell are you going to make a move on him?"
Beth's eyes bulged out, her cheeks reddened with embarrassment. She scratched her nose, pushing up her glasses again, "Is it that obvious?"
"Is it that obvious? You were about to snog him on my bed. You need to hurry up before the boy gets snatched up."
Bethany signed, flailing back onto Effie's bed. She opened her eyes to stare up at the smooth ceiling above her. "He's so obsessed with you, I don't think I'll be able to."
Effie cocked her head to the side, obviously questioning what she just heard. "Obsessed with me—"
"Look what the cat drug in." Farleigh interrupted the conversation as he waltzed in with a newfound snack in his hand. It was obviously a side effect of the rule her mother enforced for her and her friends — especially Farleigh. When Effie first started inviting them to her house, the boys filled it up with the smoke of many cigarettes through the time they were over. And Farleigh is most definitely having a hard time with not smoking in the house. He could go for one day in respect for her mother.
In came Farleigh who was followed closely by Everette and Benjamin, the boys that had one of the closest relationships in the whole group, always together and having out. Nobody pays any mind to two guys hanging out by themselves when they can. Then comes the other one that equaled the same height as Farleigh, the one that sported his famous silver eyebrow piercing — Felix Catton. His wrists were adorned with the many bracelets, his button-up shirt draping over his forearm.
Felix walked straight up towards Effie, turning her around and leaning down to bring her into a kiss. Pulling away, he swipes his thumb over her and leans down to give her another quick kiss. "Why are you already naked?"
"Naked? I have on my trunks, babe," Felix chuckled before giving her ass a little slap and going over to plop in between Farleigh and Everette on the bed, watching the bathing suits shift. "Why aren't you dressed?"
"Because these heifers were supposed to help me pick out a bathing suit. But, they were no help." Effie signed, looking over her options again.
"Well, how 'bout you come down naked?"
Farleigh perked up from gnawing at the comically large sucker in his mouth, "Now that'll be a sight to see."
Effie dropped her head back, puffing out the air she collected in her cheeks loudly as she dropped her hands to her sides.

Effie slipped on her bathing suit as she heard more and more people for into the front door of her house. She tightened the strings on the sides of the bottoms and her top. The music got turned up louder, matching the actions as she looked at herself in the mirror — fixing little things here and there.
She picked up her dainty brush from the vanity counter, detangling any little knots she had in the expensive hair she had on her head. Which shouldn't be too many really. She placed the brush down with a thud, turning around in the mirror to check out her behind. Wondering if she needed a cover-up anyway since the bottoms started to disappear between her cheeks.
The doorknob began to rattle a bit before the person on the other side of the door opened it. Revealing Felix and his already damp swim trunks. He closed the white door behind him, leaning against it as he watched admirably at Effie checking herself out in her vanity mirror. A little smirk on his lips before he pushed off and walked over to her. He slipped his hands over her waist and slipped down over her ass. "Oh no, you're are already wet, Felix."
Effie cringed at the coldness of his trunks but pushed it aside to smile up at him. "Yeah, I had a couple of dips in the pool already."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You just couldn't wait," Effie giggled. Felix absolutely loved her pool and her backyard whenever he came over. He once spent a summer at her family's estate just to go swimming every day. That was only the reason he spent that summer at the Koach's.
"Of course, I couldn't. Have you seen the pool floats? I needed to lie on that giant piece of watermelon." He rocked a bit, his eyes raking over her ass in the mirror behind her. He smiled just knowing that he was happy with Effie. "So. When are you coming downstairs?"
"Why? You miss me?"
"Not just me, Farleigh and Bethany won't stop asking for you. Now I think that your name shouldn't be coming out of his mouth that many times in an hour." Effie smacked her lips plainly, setting a smirk on her face when she heard the words come out of his mouth. She liked hearing that Felix has a hard time hearing other guys say her name or even mention her in any way in front of him. It's attractive.
"Aw. Are you jealous?" She gave Felix a kittenish stare, lowering her eyelids.
"No. But he's my cousin and I don't think I'm quite fond of you almost kissing him in front of me."
Effie rolled her eyes at the taller male. "You're so jealous. You know me and Farleigh would never."
"Good, he knows what's mine," Felix dipped his head down, sneaking into the dip of her neck before he started applying kisses. Starting behind her ear, he went lower and lower until he got to the strap of her bathing suit. He could hear her shallow breathing when he reached the spot he knew so well, the spot that kept her on her toes whenever he got to it. Effie ran her fingers through his brown wavy hair, her body curving to collide with his slimmer, tanned one. "Did I mention how good you look in this bikini?"
"No, you did not," she giggled breathlessly.
"You look good." Felix reached his hands lower, cupping her asscheeks and hinting to her that he was about to lift her from the ground. Felix, with Effie now in his hands like a box of paperclips, threw her on her bed to give her the 'look'. He lightly pounced over her, lifting her legs to rest on his hips. He leaned in, his dick growing hard as he rubbed against the thin materials keeping them from being intact and the low audible sounds emitted from his throat.
He reached his hand up, poking his finger underneath the bikini top that covered her breasts, and pulled it back to show how hard her nipple was. He let it rest over the bikini material, heavily dropping over it as he drooled over the sight. The slightest amount of skin that Effie showed in front of Felix, could be a man in the desert drinking water for the first time. She loved that she had that power over him yet, he hated there was a woman who had him the way she had him.
"Lix, what about you wanting me to come downstairs?"
Felix opened his mouth, sticking out his tongue to lick her dark nipple — staring directly into her pleading, fox-like chocolate eyes. "They can wait a few more minutes."
He sucked her nipple into his wet mouth, he could feel her chest heaving up and down at the slight ecstasy and he couldn't help but feel good about how he was making her feel. Felix's hand occupied her other nipple, continuing to brush over it with his middle finger and feeling it harden under the swimsuit fabric.
"You know there's people downstairs waiting to see both of you."
"Fuck, Farleigh." Felix and Effie quickly whipped their heads towards the curly-haired one who leaned against the doorframe with his bare arms crossed — his yellow button-up shirt revealing the lightly toned abdomen he was working with.
Felix hurried to cover up Effie, sitting up to help her fix her hair and getting her up from the bed. She looked for her sandals while going back and forth to look over at her friend. "Do you get off seeing me naked?"
"I could, but he's standing in the way of that," Farleigh motioned to Felix with his eyebrows, pushing himself off of the doorframe. "Hurry up you two, don't come down with sex hair."
Effie found her shoes at the bottom of her closet, among the copious amounts of other shoes that needed their own space at this point. She bent down to grab them and plop them on the floor in front of her manicured feet, remembering that she had to go this whole party with her time with Felix had been ruined. Felix stood from her bed, waiting for her to do whatever she needed to do with his hands on his hips. "Okay, I'm ready."
"I have a stiffy and I'm not ready to go out. Damnit, Farleigh." Effie chuckled, snagging a pair of sunglasses before walking out in front of Felix. He closed the door behind the two, walking close behind her as they quickly walked down the elaborate staircase. The two could get a glimpse of the people dancing to the music and scarfing down the finger food behind the wide open glass back door. Other people screamed at each other in the pool, some lying on the pool floaties — Effie hoped that there weren't any beer bottles left when these people disappeared. Felix quickly scooped up Effie in his arms, throwing her body over his shoulder while walking to the party.
Everyone yelled to say 'Hi' as the two traveled to where the rest of their group was sitting at the edge of the pool. Farleigh pulled out the third cherry sucker from his mouth as he peered over his sunglasses to watch Felix set Effie down. "Somebody please tell him to stop grabbing me like that."
"Hm. That's your brute." Farleigh spoke, lounging on the cranked-back pool chair and scoping out the scene of rowdy, high university kids.
Effie peered around before heading to one of the long white tables that held the food and drinks, grabbing a chilled beer bottle from the ice tub. "Where's Everette?"
Farleigh slid his glasses down to the tip of his nose to look clearly across the pool, "Over there, talking to that redhead. He's been talking to her ever since she lost her top in the water."
The group watched as Everette's shy demeanor showed through his 'confident' smile with his hands stuffed down the pockets of his purple and blue swim trunks. He rocked back and forth on his heels while the girl twirled a piece of her burnt-red hair around her pointer finger. "Is he flirting with her or something?"
"Who cares." Benjamin pushed his prescription glasses up his nose as he hung his head low, the energy emitted seeming he actually had a problem with what they were talking about. Effie turned around to look at Bethany, shrugging her shoulders at her before going back to the magazine she was reading.
"Oh, oh, oh," Bethany began to signal Effie with her hand as she sat down to dip her feet into the cooled pool. Effie used her teeth to pop the top of the beer off, spitting it in another direction and shooting back a large swig. "Fifi, I've been meaning to ask you about what happened to you and that Samson ... Shane guy?"
Effie swallowed the gulp of beer, leaning back on her hands as she swung her feet around in the water. "Who do you mean? Spencer?"
Felix overheard the sort of familiar name, thinking back to just a couple of days ago when almost threatened the guy to leave his girl—his person, alone. He picked up one of the buffalo chicken sliders off the tray and walked over to plop down right next to Effie. "You mean the guy that was crying in front of you in the library?"
"You made him cry?"
"No, I didn't make him cry," Everyone slowly looked over to her with a look that seemed like they weren't buying it. "More like tear up — but it wasn't my fault."
"Then, whose fault was it?" Effie pointed back at Felix, sipping away at her beer. He noticed the looks with a mouth full of sliders.
"I merely gave him a warning. Poor bloke thought she'd give him a serious chance." A muffled sentence spilled out his mouth, everyone else giggling because they knew that it was probably a little more than threatening on Spencer's end.
