⋆ Growing up with two university professor parents, Wonhan and Haneul were always heavily pressured to be at the top of their class and eventually become as smart as their parents. For Haneul, that was almost no problem as she was a naturally gifted student, but for Wonhan, he never had the intention to follow in his parents' footsteps. He wasn't as talented as his sister which quickly caused him to give up on it completely. On top of that, when Wonhan was younger, the other kids thought he looked scary, based on his visuals, which turned him completely anti-social from those around him and gave up on attempting to create friends. Throughout his whole childhood, his only friend was Haneul. He was okay with that however because in his eyes she was the only friend he needed and the perfect one for him. As much as Haneul was the opposite of Wonhan and a complete extrovert, the two became best friends and pretty much inseparable from the day they were born.

While his life seemed fine to everyone around him, Wonhan was slowly getting tired of it. Tired of life completely. He felt as though his own place of comfort was his sister. Every day was the same to him and he was slowly losing patience with it. Everything seemed grey in his eyes and he couldn't explain why or how, all he knew was that he was only waiting for it to end.

His life took a turn however when he was sixteen and the worst day of his life was announced when he was called by his parents who were telling him that they were going to the hospital where his sister was hospitalised. When they arrived, the doctors said she had been found in a forest, died from a drug overdose. Police were still investigating the scene, but the most likely cause according to them, had been suicide. Wonhan felt his world break apart once he faced the truth that his sister was truly gone. Just before, he was the one contemplating suicide. He would've never thought that his perfect sister was going through the same emotions as him. Life became harder than it already was for Wonhan, but after finding a last note left by Haneul, he had found a meaning behind his life and what to do with it, rather than allow it to pass by as quickly as it could.

In the note, Haneul wanted him to grow as a person and to stop closing himself off with his video games and manga. Now, without his better half and a reason to keep going, Wonhan grew more responsible of himself and kept on fighting, slowly opening up to the people around him and escaping from his shell. He started taking interest in becoming a doctor in the future, hopefully earning the ability to save people like his sister. He started picking up on his education and caught up on the years he had lost out on.

One evening at dinner with his parents, an argument regarding Haneul's death has occurred. It was a sensitive topic to all of them and emotions were spread like wildfire. It all ended up with Wonhan getting up from the table and leaving the house, needing to catch a break. He hadn't gotten over her death, despite it being two years after, however probably would never accept it truly. To get himself back in tact, he took a walk through the city, listening to music and trying to stop himself from crying. However, if his life wasn't already a bunch of turns of events, on his way back, he had gotten too absorbed in his music and hadn't seen the car that was driving towards him as he was passing a road.

He was once again back in the hospital, but this time for another reason. Now it was him who needed to be fixed.
