"𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬, 𝐢 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭

The settle winds blew against my face as I bent into position waiting for Vic to call play. Metropolis had been a hell of an opponent for us all night; so much that our score had stayed neck to neck all night.

It was 21-27 and that all was about to change, it had to if we wanted to walk away as Champions.

All the cheers had become silent to me and the only thing I had kept in mind was the fact that we were 3rd and goal and I was not looking to let it get to 4th and goal.

Me, Dawn, and Vic had passed our finals and were on our way to being college graduates but for me and Vic...this was the last thing we needed to close out our final year as students and players.

A win.

And with 13 seconds on the clock, we needed to make something happen and quickly.

I then looked over at the sidelines seeing Dawn with Cass in her arms with both of them wearing anxiety-filled expressions.

'You got this' Dawn then mouthed causing me to wink and focus back on the game just as Vic began calling the play we made especially for us.

"Three!...Eight! Set!...Hut!" He called causing me to run a corner route toward the end zone as Vic ran a fake pass off to our running back leaving Metropolis in shambles for a quick second before they forged back into one heading through our offensive line heading for Vic

Running forward away from the incoming chaos Victor quickly lowered his shoulder and knocked one of their men to the ground before jumping over another, headed straight for him before landing and getting a good look at me and the lineman twice my size width-wise before trusting me and barreling the football toward me.

Quickly I jolted forward to trick the lineman on me into thinking I was headed for the ball because I thought Vic's throw was short and just as he fell for it and tripped forward onto the ground I fell back into position jumping into the air and pulling the ball into a firm hold as I took off headed for the end zone.

Seeing another lineman headed my way, I lowered my shoulder and came up knocking him over before heading straight for the end zone again before spinning off another lineman into the end zone to score as the stadium erupted into loud roars.

I then looked up at the billboard that read 'Touchdown' in big bold letters and seeing there was no more time in the game left I took off my helmet and threw it to the ground just as Vic headed my way with a huge smile and a hug that he passed off to me.

"We're fucking Champions, Rich!" He yelled as he jumped up and down leaving me to laugh as I dapped him and we began to do our little dance

Then, just as we finished I felt cold water and Gatorade being poured all over me and Victor causing me to laugh as I turned seeing it was Bruce and Clark who had completely soaked us just before our team and Jason came over with another pail of water they were about to dump on us causing me to laugh as they did so.

"My big brothers are winners!" Jason chanted as he pulled me and Victor close with a big smile on his face

Bruce and Clark then hugged us causing me to smile.

"Good job, boys!" Clark cheered

"Surprised to see you here, Clark, came all this way to see your city's team get their ass smacked!?" Victor asked with a smile before Clark grabbed him playfully around the neck with a smile while rebutting, "I'm from Kansas, Victor!"

Diana then appeared and hugged me with a big smile and said, "Congratulations!"

Shaking my head I then looked at Bruce who wore a small smile as he also said, "Congratulations!"

"Thank you!" I said happily to both of them as he nodded and I looked off to the side seeing my more than ecstatic girlfriend with my younger brothers and sister holding them with a huge smile

"Go get her, son." Bruce then said causing me to laugh and pick up the football I had won the game with before running her way before one of the cheerleaders I had a fling with months back before me and Dawn started dating came up to me and grabbed my arm

"Great game, baby!" She squealed happily causing me to pull my arm away and continue making my way to Dawn who smiled brightly as I made my way closer

I had nothing against Ally, but she'd never be the girl who was standing a mere few feet away from me wearing one of my jerseys.

I then handed the game-winning ball to my crying little sister and kissed her forehead before picking up Dawn and twirling her in the air as she gently grabbed my face and said, "You fucking did it!!! I'm so proud of you!"

I couldn't do anything other than smile before passionately pressing my lips against hers letting everyone who may not have known that number 11 was off the market.

"I love you and thank you for being here tonight..." I said lowly after slowly pulling away feeling as if we were the only people here

"I wouldn't miss it for the world, Gray." She replied before kissing me again as I sat her back down to get more leverage in this kiss

"Okay, Richard, I don't care but the rest of the family is headed over," Selina said causing me to laugh as I pulled away and turned toward them

"I'm sorry, baby, but you haven't met all of my family just yet just the Waynes," I told Dawn just before they walked up and stopped in front of us with smiles

"Baby?!" I heard Clark ask looking surprised causing me to laugh lowly as I said, "Dawn, these are some of my extended family members; Clark and Lois Kent and Diana Prince. Clark, Lois, and Diana, this is my girlfriend, Dawn."

As Clark and Lois began teasing me and asking Bruce and everyone a million questions on when this happened and me settling down I couldn't help but notice how Diana was staring at Dawn with a puzzled and confused expression.

"Richard Grayson in a stable relationship is something I may need to write about and publish!" Lois said while laughing causing me to stop trying to get a read on Diana and say jokingly, "You guys act like I was Hugh Hefner!"

"That was Bruce, you're more like Russell Brand!" Clark then said causing me to laugh

"Don't listen to them," I said to Dawn as she laughed and shook her head

"Alright, family, we have an afterparty to get ready for so we are gonna have to see all of you on the flip side!" Victor said happily before stealing me leaving everyone to laugh as we made our way toward the locker room

"Meet me at my apartment, babe!" I called causing all of my family to act like children and start oouu'ing and ahhing

"You always do that! Stop looking at me like that!" Dawn laughed as she and I stood in the middle of the party with the rest of the couples and soon to be one night couples in the function as soft music played

"Like what?!" I asked after a long minute of holding her

"Boy, certain songs come on when you're with me and you end up looking at me like you need me to survive." She replied while rubbing the nape of my neck

"I do..." I replied kissing her forehead before she smiled bashfully and leaned her head against my chest

The music then began to rapidly change from a slow song to a party song that began to cause the dance floor to get rowdy once more.

"You want to stay out here or get a drink?!" I then asked causing her to grab my hand and lead me off the dance floor into the kitchen where the music was a lot settler

"So, I guess you wanted that drink, huh?!" I asked while laughing

"I'm gonna need it if I'm gonna try and hang with them!" She joked causing me to laugh before I saw the kitchen was filled with a bunch of cheerleaders and basketball players

"Well, baby, we can go if you want-" I began to say before Ally bumped into Dawn causing her to bump into the guy Ally was talking to

"My bad!" Dawn quickly said gently grabbing her arm to keep her from falling

"What the fuck is your problem?!" Ally yelled while snatching her arm away

"Nothing, I was just making sure you didn't fall," Dawn replied

"It's fine. Ally, you're fine, it was just an accident." I then said hoping to dead the situation knowing she was going to take it levels further due to her jealousy of Dawn

"No, tell your girl to watch where the fuck she's going!" Ally rebutted causing Dawn to grab my arm and say lowly, "Don't worry about it, she's drunk"

"What did you say, bitch?!" She said loudly attracting more attention to where we were

"I said you are drunk. But, I'm not going to be too many more bitches, bitch." Dawn replied as everyone around us began instigating

"Well, here's a drink! Maybe we can be drunk together!" Ally said before throwing a drink in Dawn's face causing it to soak her face and shirt

Dawn then chuckled lowly before I began trying to calm her down as I dried her face and everyone laughed.

"I'm good, baby, I promise." She finally replied before grabbing the nearby bottle of Tequila and taking a long, swift swig of it

I wanted to believe she was good. But, I had seen this face before notably when I was getting bullied by this group of guys and she one by one gave them all nosebleeds.

That laugh didn't mean shit. She was about to unleash hell on Ally.

Oh, and she wasn't going to argue. Never has.

"Damn, Richie, I would've never taken you as the type to like the weak girls. But, I guess that happens when you can't find someone to fill the void of a girl like me." Ally then said

"Ally anyone can fill your version of a void all they have to do is be a slut" Victor then said as he appeared out of nowhere

"I got this..." Dawn then said as Ally got in her face again and said, "Oh you do?!"

And before I could even blink again Dawn had punched her so hard that she stumbled back against the sink leaving Dawn to punch her again and again before I grabbed her with a smile.

"Make sure if you're gonna try and bully someone you can get a hit in on them because you are gonna take a lot of ass beatings if not" Dawn then said

"You broke my fucking nose, you bitch!" Ally then yelled before Dawn said calmly, "Go to the hospital then."

Everyone then bursted out in laughter after hearing her say that which left her to rush out of the party angrily.

"You have a cousin, D?" Vic then asked causing me to push him away while laughing

"Shut the fuck up!" I said jokingly as I wrapped my arm around Dawn

"What the hell just happened?!" Victor then asked causing Dawn to laugh

"You just rushed in here talking shit, not knowing what happened?!" Dawn then asked

"Yeah, I heard the commotion and saw her yelling at you. I was going to have your back regardless." He then replied causing her to smile

"Well, I appreciate that." She replied while giving Vic a fist bump

"Who touched my sister?!" I then heard a voice yell

"I did, what?!" Dawn yelled back before I handed her my car keys and said, "I got this. We aren't kids anymore you won't fight or argue with any dude around me baby."

She then smiled and said, "I know." just as Ally's brother walked around the corner

"It was you, huh?!" He then said heading our way causing me to meet him in the middle and push him back as I said, "She did and what are you going to do about it? It's commendable taking an ass whooping for family but are you sure this is one you want?!"

In just moments that confidence he walked in here began fading by the second.

"Do something!" Ally then yelled

Dawn then walked up and asked, "Yeah, do something! I'm the one you were looking for right?!"

He then began looking between both of our hard gazes wondering whether it was worth it before Dawn swiftly pulled her fist back and punched him in the face knocking him down.

"We can leave now, Gray." She said calmly as Ally looked around like a lost puppy

Beginning to make our way out Dawn stopped in front of Ally again before punching her again before leaving them and the party behind us.

"I hate people like that!" She said as we made our way outside of the house

I couldn't do anything but smile. I was so turned on by her in this moment.

"Let me see your hand," I said as we made it to my car

"I'm fine it was a pleasure to knock them on their asses." She replied with a smile before I gently pushed her against my passenger door, grabbing her hand softly beginning to see it was only red

"It's fine." She then said softer this time as she placed her hand on my cheek

I then pulled her into my arms and messily placed a kiss against her lips before beginning to taste the bitter Tequila on her tongue as she moaned lowly kissing me back with the same passion.

"You're so fucking crazy." I groaned as I pulled away

"Can we go to your loft in the city for a little more privacy...please?" Dawn then asked after a moment of silence between us

"We can go wherever you want to go," I replied before opening the door for her and closing it behind her
