I wish someone had warned me when I was younger, now I stay up all night and weep; the ghosts of everything you have loved and lost come back to haunt you in your sleep.

———— SUMMARY !

Time was not created, nor born, nor summoned; she just was. Time had existed since the beginning, with Death, God, and the Darkness. They were the foundation of the Universe, possessing limitless power and being present when things began. While God created and Death collected, Time served as the sentinel. She was continuously unravelling and growing, much like the cosmos itself, and while God and Death had missions to complete, all Time had to do was spin her web and watch as the cosmos she helped build evolved in front of their eyes. But that too changed.

Time didn't know why she liked God. Maybe it was because he was the only other person, apart from Death, around? Perhaps it was due to his omnipotence, omniscience, or even his purported omnibenevolence? Maybe it was even because he could be charming at times? Time didn't know for certain. But she couldn't deny that God piqued her interest, just as she did his.

Time, the Universe's sentinel, abandoned her position to join God in his new heaven, where he had already built a little community of angels to live. She was immediately entranced by him and quickly fell in love with Heaven. Sure, she'd seen it before amid the many timelines floating about in her body, but being there was a very different experience. Time had not been among the Universe from the beginning of time, but rather stood alone and always attentive, thus being in Heaven with God was something she most surely liked.

Love was something entirely new to Time; she had never experienced it before and doubted she ever would. However, while with God, locked away in their private nooks of Heaven, she began to fall for the omnipotent guy and offered him her heart. And he used that to dominate her.

She became God's mistress, and in exchange, he kept her locked away like a dirty little secret. But Time was too blinded by her love to notice what was happening to her, and she was too blinded to question God when he took their kid and promised her they would be reared among all the other angels. It wasn't until a dozen time/angel children later that Time began to see through her lover's falsehoods and discover who he truly was. But that didn't stop him from snatching their children and manipulating her influence for his own gain. It was then that Time understood she wasn't in a magnificent idyllic penthouse away from all of the world's troubles, but in a prison.

Time prayed that each child she bore would be the one God chose for her to keep, but her hopes were dashed each time. She was a mother without her children, which devastated her beyond belief. Meanwhile, God didn't seem to notice or care about Time's change in demeanour because, after all, she was not going away.

She remained God's mistress in the farthest recesses of his Heaven for an unknown amount of time. Some Heaven it turned out to be. Time was angry and despairing; her children had been stolen from her, and she was pregnant once more. She knew God was going to take her baby away. Just like he had done to all those before.

As she predicted, not even minutes after the kid was born, they were seized from her arms and carried away to another region of Heaven. With tears running down her cheeks, Time determined that enough was enough. Her and God's fight shook the heavens, and he eventually triumphed. God knew he couldn't let Time go to do whatever she wanted, so he used the pocket watch he had taken from her to bind Time herself in a loop, cursed to forever spin in circles of herself.

God had duped her, used her, stolen her children, and now he was putting her into a jail built on the power he had taken from her. Time was thoroughly beaten and broken. She had challenged God, lost, and had to pay the consequences. If she had known how her life would turn out, she would not have been so easily bewitched by God's charm in the first place.

Time was constantly flickering between eras and places, trapped in an eternal loop established by God. However, as angels were expelled from Heaven and the doors closed behind them, the doors to her captivity were blown wide. Because, as the saying goes, "when one door closes, another one opens," and this was never more true than with Time. Now free, Time was determined to find her children and reunite the family God had ripped from her. But it wasn't so simple, as Angels fought a war on Earth, yearning to get home.

So, Time was now caught in the crossfire of a second Angel civil war, but she would stop at nothing to find her lost children. Because a mother's love can outlast everything, even God himself.
