Chapter 1, Twisted Truths

"She shouldn't be here."

Maybe it was a trait he picked up from his father, maybe it was just who he was as a person, but Dean rarely ever admitted when he was in the wrong. And it was even rarer for him to willingly ask a human being for help, let alone an Angel.

Right now, for instance, he could feel a tinge of regret as he stared at his little brother—no, the Angel that was possessing his little brother.

He made a last second decision in a dire situation and now he was paying the price by dealing with this meddlesome asshole. But it had saved Sammy's life. Sam couldn't be mad at him for that, right?

"Dean, I am telling you, this is a mistake," Ezekiel, the Angel, snapped his attention back toward the argument. "We can't trust her."

Ah, right. Her. The woman who had been in the back of his impala, rain-soaked and tear-soaked, pleading for Dean and Sam to help her locate her missing children. They had taken her to their hideout, since she said she didn't have a place to stay, put her in a locked room and told her they'd talk about it in the morning. Normally, he wouldn't hesitate to help this woman. Sammy wanted them to help her. But he was far too trusting to think a crying woman would ever have bad intentions, so Dean had to do the thinking for the both of them. She didn't give off an impression that she was lying about her missing kids, but she had magically appeared in the backseat. And there was something about her eyes...They were warm, kind blue eyes, eyes that reminded him of his own mother, but they had a haunting look in them, like she has seen many horrific things in her lifetime.

The problem was she was obviously wasn't a ghost or a vampire, a demon, a shapeshifter, or even a witch. Dean didn't know what she was and he didn't like it one bit.

Time, she'd said, when they'd asked for her name. I am Time.

He'd thought she was absolutely bonkers in that moment, but now that he was able to ponder on it more, he could believe it.

"You seem more stressed about this woman than me," Dean spoke finally, setting down the bottle of beer he'd been sipping on, onto the round wooden table with a small 'thunk!' He eyed the older being with suspicion, hands leaning on the hard surface. "Care to elaborate?"

Ezekiel glared. "This woman," He said, voice dripping with annoyance, "is an abomination."

"Woah!" Dean's eyes widened in surprise, backing up off the table. "Isn't that a little harsh?"

"Abomination isn't even harsh enough of a word to describe her," Ezekiel said sternly. "You need to kick her out now. Once the angels find out she was in the fall—and they will—she'll be the most hunted being in the history of the universe."

Before Dean could even get a what out of his mouth, Sam was saying,"—seems okay, Dean."

Dean paused for a minute, trying to remember what the hell his brother had been talking about, before slowing replying, "I agree with you. But still, just in case..."

Fine. If Ezekiel was going to continue to give vague answers to his questions, Dean would just have to turn elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Sam frowned, having just noticed his surroundings. "Weren't we just standing near the bookcases?"

Maybe this whole lying about possession thing was going to be harder than Dean originally thought.

The smug bastard was sitting right where they'd left him; handcuffed to a chair, facing the interrogation room's door, looking perfectly at ease despite his current situation. Clearly, he believed that they couldn't keep him there forever. And maybe he was right. But Dean, Sam and even Kevin wouldn't be letting that happen anytime soon.

The King of Hell smirked at the shorter Winchester brother as he entered the room alone. "Hello, Squirrel. Miss me already?"

Dean ignored Crowley's words as he plopped himself down in the chair across from his, his arms resting on the back of it. "Let's cut to the chase."

Crowley continued, "No, hello? No, how are you—?" He paused as he got a good look at Dean's face. "Ohh, you really are desperate, aren't you? Something eating at you, Squirrel? Well, I'd gladly help you...for a price."

"I'm not letting you out," Dean snapped, only provoking another taunting remark from the demon.

"Come on, Dean. You know that's not how this works," He fake scolded. He nodded toward the door. "I'd see you out, but, uh..." He gestured toward the handcuffs.

Dean had the sudden urge to slam Crowley's head against the metal table. He reluctantly ignored it.

"Alright, fine, I'll make you a deal; You tell me about Time, and I won't stab you. That sound fair enough?"

Crowley raised his eyebrows in interest at the first part of Dean's offer, than made a noise of distaste at the ending threat. "I can see you're mommy didn't live long enough to teach you some manners—But you're in luck, Squirrel. You've caught me in a good mood. I'll tell you all about God's whore."

Dean was so startled, he let the remark about his mother slide. "God's what?"

"Rude and deaf" Crowley observed, earning a scowl. "Patience," He insisted. And then he did tell him all about her, and by the end of it all, everything Time had said suddenly made a whole lot of sense. Dean didn't think he had ever been so angry on a stranger's behalf in his entire life. Time was welcome to stay as long as she wished, Ezekiel's wishes be damned. Fuck him. And most importantly, fuck God.

Short chapter I know, but this was more of an introduction, like the prologue. I promise the next one will be longer with Time's point of view! And possibly a certain Angel...

Might come back and edit this later as I'm not completely happy with it but I figured I've kept u guys waiting long enough

Until next time
