Background: Growing up in Korea, her childhood years were marked by hip hop artists and various rapper, and even though she did good in school her parents noticed that she danced everywhere she went. Stores, public, everywhere. It wasn't until she was older that she wanted to become a dancer in a group. JYP seemed to be forming a new band and since they were looking for females, she gave it s try.
